WHEN I TRY TO REPLICATE THE LEAK BY POURING WATER IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS NO WATER ENTERS. WHEN IT RAINS, I SEE THE ROOF HEADLINER NEAREST THE A PILLAR IS SOAKED. WHEN I PARTIALLY REMOVED THE WEATHER STRIPPING FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND PARTIALLY REMOVED THE HEADLINE,R I COULD FEEL THAT THE ROOF LINER IN THE AREA WAS STILL WET AS WAS A PORTION OF THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG. I CALLED MY LOCAL HONDA DEALER (VALLEY HONDA MONROEVILLE PA SERVICE DEPT.) ON 01/18/17 AND WAS TOLD "WE CAN'T HELP YOU. CALL A BODY SHOP." I AM CONCERNED THAT THE WATER ENTERING THE VEHICLE WILL DAMAGE OR AFFECT THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG. I SHOULD TELL YOU THAT ON 12/30/16, I HAD THE AIR BAG INFLATOR REPLACED AS PER THE TAKATA DRIVER'S AIR BAG INFLATOR RECALL CALL AND EVER SINCE THIS AREA IS LEAKING! HELP!

EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT THEY REPLACED MY DRIVER'S SIDE INFLATOR ON JULY 20, 2016, NOTHING HAS BEEN OFFERED TO ME SO FAR. IT WAS THE ONLY VEHICLE THAT I HAD UNTIL JULY 6TH, 2016 -- AFTER WHICH I HAD TO BUY A SMALL CAR ON MY OWN AS A REMEDY BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE THE RISK -- EXPLAINED TO ME BY THE AMERICAN HONDA ON THE ABOVE-LISTED DATES. WHILE DRIVING DOWNTOWN AT 4:30PM I WAS SLOWING TO A STOP LIGHT. THE ENGINE ALL OF A SUDDEN SPED UP THROWING THE VEHICLE FORWARD. I CONTINUED TO KEEP THE BRAKE ON, BUT THE VEHICLE KEPT PUSHING FORWARD. THE TRUCK TOOK OFF LIKE A JET AND ACCELERATED ABOUT 20 FEET FORWARD UNTIL IT CRASHED INTO MY GARAGE. I IMMEDIATELY LOOKED DOWN AND MY FOOT WAS FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE AND THE BRAKE WAS COMPLETELY PRESSED TO THE FLOOR. THE TRUCK ACCELERATED BY ITSELF. I AM THANKFUL NOBODY GOT HURT. 2010 HONDA RIDGELINE WITH 450 MILES WAS REFUELED AT A FILLING STATION. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REFUELED, THE DRIVERS DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. A PASSER BY REACHED INTO THE DOOR LATCH AND "TRIPPED" IT WITH A PEN KNIFE. HE ADVISED THAT HONDA IS EQUIPPED WITH WEAK SPRINGS FOR THE LATCH, AND THAT THEY BREAK. THE DOOR HELD FOR ONE USE; THEN MY 75 YEAR OLD FATHER HAD TO HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED FOR NEARLY 100 MILES AS HE DROVE TO HIS RESIDENCE. I CONTACTED THE HONDA DEALER, AND DESCRIBED THE SITUATION. HE RELATED TO ME THAT HE HAD AN ACURA MDX WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. HE SAID TO DRIVE THE CAR IN, AND THAT IT WOULD BE A QUICK FIX. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling specific 2003 Acura 3.2CL, 2013-2016 ILX, 2013-2014 ILX Hybrid, 2003-2006 MDX, 2007-2016 RDX, 2002-2003 3.2TL, 2004-2006, and 2009-2014 TL, 2010-2013 ZDX and 2001-2007 and 2009 Honda Accord, 2001-2005 Civic, 2003-2005 Civic Hybrid, 2001-2005 Civic GX NGV, 2002-2007 and 2010-2011 CR-V, 2003-2011 Element, 2007 Fit, 2002-2004 Odyssey, 2003-2008 Pilot, and 2006-2014 Ridgeline vehicles. The affected vehicles received a replacement driver air bag inflator as part of a previous Takata inflator recall remedy or a replacement driver air bag module containing the same inflator type as a service part. Due to a manufacturing error, in the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver frontal air bag, these inflators may explode.
