TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2004 MAZDA B23S. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS (INCLUDING A REPAIRED RECALLED AIR BAG) DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER WAS UNINJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER DECLARED DESTROYED AND TOWED AWAY BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,117.
RECALL ISSUED MARCH 2016. AS OF 4/31/2017, NO INSTRUCTIONS FROM MAZDA TO GET REPAIRED. BEEN A YEAR SINCE RECALL ISSUED. WHAT'S GOING ON.
TAKATA RECALL INFORMED BY LETTER ON JULY 2015 THAT IF MY AIRBAG DEPLOYS IN A CRASH IT MAY KILL ME OR MY PASSENGER. IT IS NOW 01/17 AND STILL NOT FIXED. WHY WOULD YOU INFORM THE PUBLIC THEN TAKE 1.5 YEARS PLUS TO FIX PROBLEM? I UNDERSTAND HOW LARGE THE RECALL IS BUT OVER A YEAR FOR NO REPAIRS OR ANY FURTHER COMMUNICATION OF ANY KIND. YOU ALL SHOULD BE FIRED AND YOU ARE COMPLETELY WORTHLESS. THAT'S LIKE TELLING SOMEONE, IF YOUR HOUSE CATCHES ON FIRE THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE IF YOUR SMOKE ALARM GOES OFF IT COULD KILL OR INJURE EVERYONE IN YOUR HOME THAN SAYING WE WILL LET YOU KNOW AND THEN WALKING AWAY. STILL WAITING!

I BROADSIDED A PICK UP TRUCK THAT RAN A STOP SIGN. ENOUGH DAMAGE WAS DONE THAT MY VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED AND LIKELY WILL BE WRITTEN OFF BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AS TOTALED. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BLUNT TRAUMA TO THE CHEST WALL WITH CONTUSIONS. MY AIRBAG NEVER DEPLOYED. *TR
I HAVE FOUR GOODYEAR WRANGLER SILENT ARMOR TIRES ON MY PICKUP TRUCK. ONE TIRE WENT FLAT DUE TO TEARS ON THE SIDEWALL OF THE TIRE. SO I THEN INSPECTED THE OTHER TIRES AND FOUND TEARS STARTING IN EACH OF THE OTHER TIRES AS WELL AS THE RUBBER IS PEELING OFF THE SIDEWALLS LIKE SNAKESKIN. THEN THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS MY STEERING WHEEL AS BEGUN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AT ANY SPEED OVER 40MPH. TWO OF THE TIRES ARE FALLING APART AND BEGINNING TO GET BUBBLES ON THE SIDEWALLS. THESE TIRES ONLY HAVE 24,000 MILES ON THEM AND ARE ABOUT 2-3 YEARS OLD. I HAVE HEARD SIMILAR STORIES TO MINE ABOUT THESE TIRES AND ALL OF THEM OCCUR AROUND 25,000 MILES BUT GOODYEAR WARRANTY'S THESE TIRES FOR 50,000. I HAVE HAD NO LUCK WITH GOODYEAR WORKING WITH ME. PEOPLE COULD DIE FROM THESE TIRES EXPLODING AND ITS TIME FOR SOMETHING TO BE DONE AGAINST THIS COMPANY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. *TR
WE WERE BROADSIDED BY A VEHICLE THAT RAN A RED LIGHT AT FULL SPEED. THE IMPACT WAS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE CAR FLIPPED OVER AND SKIDDED ONTHE PASSENGER SIDE THEN FLIPPED BACK ONTO THE DRIVERS SIDE AND SKIDDED BEFORE ROLLING OVER AT LEAST ONCE. NOT ONE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THANK GOD FOR THE SEAT BELTS. THEY SAVED OUR LIVES. INJURIES WERE CONCUSSIONS, SPRAINED NECK, INJURIES TO LOWER NECK, BACK AND SHOULDER OF PASSENGER. WE LANDED UPSIDE DOWN, RELEASED OUR SEAT BELTS AND CRAWLED TO SAFETY WITH THE HELP OF POLICE AND FIRE. OUR SPEED WAS ABOUT 25-30 MILES /HOUR. OUR CAR WAS TOTALLED. THE OTHER DRIVER WAS CITED IN THE ACCIDENT.
CAR STALLS AT LIGHTS DOES NOT RESPOND WHEN ACCELERATING HAVE GONE TO BACK UP AND NO RESPONSE THEN CAR WILL JUST TAKE OFF HAVE HAD 2 ACCIDENTS DUE TO NO ACCELERATION FOG AND BUGS IN TAILLIGHTS AIRBAG LIGHT ON/OFF FOR NO REASON CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR ALL RECALLS I AM TOLD I AM NOT DRIVING THE CAR FAST ENOUGH AND AM TOLD I NEED TO CHECK MY OIL WHEN I GET GAS. TOO MANY PROBLEMS TO LIST DEALER WILL FIX BUT CANNOT DUPLICATE SOME OF THE PROBLEMS I EXPERIENCE HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT MANUFACTURER ONLY TO BE PUT ON HOLD TO LISTEN TO ZOOM ZOOM MUSIC OVER AND OVER. *JB
MY MAZDA B3000 PICKUP WOULD NOT STOP AT A RED LIGHT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. WHEN I ENGAGED THE BRAKE THE FRONT END SHOOK AND THEN THERE WERE NO BRAKES. THE DAY OF THE ACCIDENT THERE WAS A LIGHT RAIN BUT I HAD NOT DRIVEN THROUGH ANY PUDDLES, THEREFORE I DON'T THINK IT WAS DUE TO "WET" BRAKES AS I HAVE BEEN TOLD. ULTIMATELY MY BRAKES DID NOT WORK, I ONLY HAVE 30K MILES ON THE VEHICLE, AND I WILL FEAR DRIVING IT ONCE THE BODY HAS BEEN FIXED. I HAVE NEVER HAD A VEHICLE THAT WOULDN'T STOP AND I FEEL THERE IS SOMETHING MECHANICALLY WRONG. I HAD OVER 2 CAR LENGTHS AND DUE TO THE FACT THIS IS A FAIRLY NEW VEHICLE, THERE IS NOT REASON IT SHOULD NOT HAVE STOPPED PRIOR TO IMPACTING ANOTHER VEHICLE. *JB
BUCKING AND LOSS OF POWER, NOISE COMING FROM AREA NEAR FUEL PUMP UNTIL PART FAILED COMPLETELY AND CAR WOULD NOT START, OR IT WAS TAKEN IN FOR REPAIR BEFORE COMPLETE FAILURE TO BE REPLACED. FOUR FUEL PUMPS HAVE BEEN REPLACED IN 10 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP OF NEW CAR. *NM
2004 MAZDA 3 PASSENGER SEAT BELT MALFUCTION. MY MAZDA 3 SEAT BELT LOCKING MECHANISM FAIL TO RELEASE.
DT: THE ENGINE JUST TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE CUT OFF TWICE WHEN TRYING TO GO UP HILL AT 20 MPH. THIS HAPPENED ON JULY 20TH, 2005. THE EVOLUTION WAS ROUGHLY AT 10,000 FEET. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER. *AK *SC
AFTER DRIVING 45 MPH ON BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY FOR AT LEAST 3 HOURS, I WAS EXITING ONTO A MAJOR HIGHWAY. WHEN I STEPPED ON THE GAS, I HAD A LOSS OF POWER THAT ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. COULD NOT EASILY RECREATE THE PROBLEM, SO I DID NOT GO TO THE DEALER ABOUT IT. *NM
DT: THE CONSUMER STATED 2004 MAZDA RX 8 STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 20-35 MPH. THERE WERE NO LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. , BUT AFTERWARDS ALL THE LIGHTS CAME ON, AND THE VEHICLE DIED. THE CONSUMER REPORTED THIS TO THE DEALER ,AND THEY DID THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST, AND FOUND NOTHING BUT SUGGESTED THAT HE DO A TUNE UP ON THE CAR. THE CAR HAS HAD NO OTHER PROBLEMS AND HAS DRIVEN FINE BEFORE THIS INCIDENT. THE OWNER NOTICED BEFORE THIS HAPPENED THAT HE HAD DRIVEN ABOUT 100 MILES WHEN THE CAR STALLED. THIS WAS ON BOTH OCCASIONS. THE DEALER DID DO A COMPUTER UPDATE. *AK
SINCE FEBRUARY 2005 I HAVE HAD MY MAZDA RX8 SERVICED FOR ENGINE NOISES, DECELERATION PROBLEMS, STALLING PROBLEMS AND RESTART PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO IDLE ROUGH AND JUST STALLS OUT (TWICE IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY INTERSECTIONS WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC-LIFE THREATENING SITUATION) AND CANNOT BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE HAS TO BE TOWED IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR RESTART. THE PCM HAS BEEN REFLASHED SEVERAL TIMES, PLUGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. I AM AFRAID FOR MY LIFE AND WILL NOT LET ANYONE ELSE RIDE IN THE CAR WITH ME. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP IS AWARE OF THE LIFE THREATENING SITUATION AND I WANT TO KNOW IF I HAVE ANY RECOURSE IN GETTING MAZDA TO BUY BACK A CAR I CANNOT DRIVE. MY LUCK WILL RUN OUT IN THIS VEHICLE AND NOT ONLY WILL I BE INJURED OR KILLED, BUT SO WILL OTHER DRIVERS (ONCOMING TRAFFIC OR TRAFFIC BEHIND ME). I HAVE CALLED MAZDA HEADQUARTERS TWICE ABOUT THIS RECURRING PROBLEM AND AM AWAITING A CALL BACK FROM THE SECOND PHONE CALL INTO MAZDA. APPARENTLY THEY DON'T FEEL IT IS AS BAD AS IT IS. *NM
DT: THIS MAZDA HAD A VIBRATION PROBLEM . RECENTLY, HAD A STALLING PROBLEM. THE DEALER TRIED TO GET CONSUMER TO TRADE I IN VEHICLE. AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN WOULD HAVE TO PUSH THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR TO GET IT TO MOVE. THE SERVICE MANAGER FOUND OUT THE WERE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS IN HIGH HEAT AREAS.. THIS STARTED HAPPENING ON JUNE 30, 2005.*AK
WHILE PULLING INTO MY DRIVEWAY, I WAS BRAKING TO PARK WHILE THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WAS STILL IN DRIVE. SUDDENLY, THE ENGINE STARTED TO REV ON ITS OWN, WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE. THE TACHOMETER STARTED READING IN THE DANGER ZONE, AND THE ENGINE WAS REVVING OUT OF CONTROL. WHITE SMOKE STARTED TO COME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE CAR INTO PARK AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE. IT WAS QUITE A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE.
DURING ACCELLERATION LOSES POWER, HESITATES, FEELS LIKE ITS GOING TO STALL AND SMOKE COMES OUT OF EXHAUST. DEALER HAS REPLACED FUEL PUMP, PROBLEM GOT BETTER FOR A SHORT PERIOD BUT HAS BEGUN TO REOCCUR. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SO THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME. TWO FAILED REPAIR ATTEMPTS - COUNTING UP TO LEMON LAW!
2 OCCURANCES IN 3000 MILES OF ENGINE LOOSING POWER, THEN STARTS TO BUCK ABOVE 3500-4000 RPM. THIS FIRST HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY AND IT WAS DIFFICULT STAYING OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC UNTIL I COULD EXIT. THE SECOND OCCURANCE WAS AFTER I HAD EXITED THE FREEWAY ONTO A 2 LANE. I THEN DROVE 30 MILES TO HOME. BOTH TIMES IT WAS OK THE NEXT MORNING. DEALER CANNOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. SEVERAL OWNERS OF THIS MODEL CAR (2004 MAZDASPEED MIATA )HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AS REPORTED ON WWW.MAZDA-SPEED.COM FORUM.
I JUST HAD MY TIRES CHECKED AT 10,000 MILES DURING AN OIL CHANGE AT MY DEALERSHIP. NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND. I NOW HAVE 11,000 MILES ON MY CAR AND TIRES. MY TIRES ARE MICHELIN RADIAL XSE P215/50 R17. I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK AND WITHOUT WARNING MY DRIVERS SIDE BACK TIRES BLEW OUT. IT SEPARATED FROM THE TIRE AND THE CORDS WERE SHOWING. I AM CONVINCED THAT THIS IS THE FAULT OF THE MICHELIN TIRE BECAUSE OF THE TREAD WEAR AND THE MILES ON IT. I DID NOT HIT ANYTHING IN THE ROAD NOR WAS THE TIRE PUNCTURED. WHEN THE TIRE BLEW I WAS ON WEST BOUND ON I-70 TO DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS AND WITHOUT WARNING I SPUN AROUND SEVERAL TIMES IN THE MIDDLE OF I-70 AND GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT AND HAD TO BE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL VIA AMBULANCE FOR NECK AND BACK INJURIES. MY MAZDA 6 RECIEVED 6,000 DOLLARS IN DAMAGE THAT I KNOW OF SO FAR NOT TO MENTION THE PERSON THAT I CRASHED INTO. MY INSURANCE WILL NOT PAY FOR THE TIRE BECAUSE THAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE ACCIDENT. I THINK MICHELIN SHOULD PAY FOR 4 NEW TIRES OF A DIFFERENT BRAND, MY HOSPITAL VISIT, MY DEDUCTABLE AND MY RENTAL CARE EXPENSE AND MY LOST WAGES. ALSO MY TIRE PRESURE WAS CHECKED BY MY DEALER AGAIN THE WEEK OF JUNE 27,2005. I'M VERY LUCKY THAT I DIDN'T GET HURT WORSE OR SOMEONE GETTING HURT. I STILL DON'T KNOW THE EXTENT OF MY INJURIES BECAUSE I'M STILL HAVING A LOT OF PAIN SINCE THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON JULY 4, 2005. IS IT ANY WONDER THAT THE F1 DRIVERS DIDN'T WANT TO RACE AND FACE AN ACCIDENT OR WORSE YET DEATH?
SIRR OR MISS, I LIVE IN HOLLAND AND I HAVE AN QUESTION ABOUT AN MAZDA 3 1.6V EXECUTIVE SEDAN(EUROPEAN MODEL). AFTER THE FIRST OIL CHANGE THE ENGINE BEGINS TO MAKE A LOUD NOISE. IN THE THIRD GEAR IT BEGINS ABOUT 70 KM/H. ALLSO IN THE FOURTH GEAR THE SAME PROBLEM THAT BEGINS ABOUT 100KM/H. THE ENGINE IS A BIT SHAKING IN NEUTRAL (FREE) GEAR. WHEN I DRIVE ABOUT 80KM/H IN THE FOURHT SHIFT (THAN NORMAL NOISE) AND LET THE FEET OF THE GASPEDAL THAN THE SAME LOUD NOISE I HEAR. I HAVE DRIVE IN TWO OTHER MAZDAS WITHE THE EXACT SAME ENGINE WITH NO TROUBLE AT ALL!! THE GARAGE(DEALERS) CAN,T FIND ANYTHING. AND I THINK THAT MABY DE MAZDA IMPORTEUR WONT HELP US ANY FEARTHER. I AM COMPLAIN NOW EVRYWHERE ON MORE AND MORE WEBSITES OF ALL COUNTRYS IN EUROPE ,WHAT IS BAD FOR THE MAZDA COMPANY. PLEASE HELP ME FOR AN SOLUTION OPHUIS
DT: WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CONSUMER LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL. IT FELT LIKE THE STEERING WHEEL AND TIRES WERE NOT IN LINE, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SWERVE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED THAT WAS THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED. . IF THE ROAD WAS NOT EVEN THE STEERING WHEEL WILL DO THE SAME THING. CONSUMER STATED ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN GOING AT HIGH SPEED, THIS HAPPENED MORE OFTEN AND ON WINDY DAYS. WHEN MAKING A TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT COME ALL THE WAY BACK. *AK
ENGINE STALLS--ON HOT DAYS--YOU'RE ON EXPRESSWAY YOU CAN FEEL POWER LOSS---THEN WHEN YOU GET OFF EXPRESSWAY OR HIT TRAFFIC JAM --THE CAR STALLS...SOMETIMES YOU CAN GET IT TO START..AND IDLE IS BAD BUT MAIN GOAL IS TO GET OUT OF THE WAY.....SOMETIMES IF ON THE SIDE OF ROAD YOU CAN SIT FOR AWHILE AND THEN START IT UP LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED???
HAS NO POWER, HESITATES BADLY, BUCKS ABOVE 3-4 RPM, HAS CAUSED ME TO ALL MOST CRASH AND OR GET HIT 2-3 TIMES. RETURNED TO DEALER NO "CODE" FOUND WAS TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. 10-20 PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS I AM (SEE INFORMATION HERE HTTP://MAZDA-SPEED.COM/FORUM2/INDEX.PHP?TOPIC=86.0 )
DT: WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE ABOUT 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE JUMPED ABOUT 4 FEET INTO THE AIR AND FLIPPED OVER ABOUT 4 TIMES ACCORDING TO EYE WITNESSES. THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN FACT NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. IT WAS NOT RAINING AND AS FAR AS THE CONSUMER COULD REMEMBER SHE DID NOT HIT ANYTHING. THERE WAS NO BLOW OUT OF THE TIRES. *JB
DT: THE CONSUMER OWNS A 2004 MAZDA 6I. WHEN THE CONSUMER SLOWED DOWN IN FIRST GEAR TO COME TO A STOP THE RPM STARTED TO REV UP ABOUT 2000 OR 3000 RPMS AND THE ENGINE STARTED TO REV UP ALSO. WHEN THE CONSUMER WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE SAME DAY. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN DRIVEN VERY MUCH SINCE. THE CONSUMER WILL BE TAKING THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER NEXT WEEK. THERE WAS NO MODIFICATIONS ON THE ENGINE EVERYTHING WAS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. *JB
CLUTCH SHUDDERS VIOLENTLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE. IS VERY PRONOUNCED ON HILLS, INCLINES, AND WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE CLUTCH IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, IE, NEED ACCELERATION TO PASS, MERGED INTO TRAFFIC ETC. AS A RESULT, THE CLUTCH WILL FAIL TO ENGAGE PROPERLY AND LEAVE THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS IN VULNERABLE POSITION OF NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE WHEN EXPECTING TO. IN ADDITION, THE CAR WILL ROLL BACK WHILE ON HILLS AND GET DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO VEHICLES BEHIND IT SINCE THE CLUTCH EITHER ENGAGES RESISTANTLY OR NOT AT ALL. *AK
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE ASKED THIS SAME QUESTION. FORD RECALLED THESE VEHICLES AND THE MAZDA "B" SERIES PICK-UP IS MADE BY FORD SHOULDN'T MAZDA CHECK THEIRS TOO? 2004 FORD RANGER STRUCTURE: FRAME AND MEMBERS:UNDERBODY SHIELDS SUMMARY: ON CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS, THE FRAME MAY HAVE A CENTER RAIL SECTION FLANGE THAT WAS NOT FORMED PROPERLY. CONSEQUENCE: IN THE EVENT OF A SIDE IMPACT CRASH, THE FRAME RAIL SCOULD PUNCTURE THE FUEL TANK, RESULTING IN A FUEL LEAK. FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE. REMEDY: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE FRAME TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE FRAME WAS INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED. IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT BE REPAIRED. FORD AND THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE VEHICLE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 19, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT FORD AT 1-800-392-3673. NOTES: FORD MOTOR COMPANY 04S19 . *AK
1.WHEN ADJUSTED DRIVER'S POWER SEAT CONTINUES TO MOVE FORWARD EVEN AFTER ADJUSTMENT SWITCH IS RELEASED, RESULTING IN A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS UNINTENDED AND UNCONTROLLABLE DRIVING POSITION FOR THE DRIVER.*AK 2.WHILE IN THE 'NEUTRAL' POSITION, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT LEVER IS TOO EASILY MOVED UINTENTIONALLY INTO THE REVERSE POSITION RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY AND DANGEROUSLY REVERSING ITS POSITION AND MOVING REARWARD UNINTENTIONALLY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE GEAR SELECTOR 'GATE DESIGN' IS FAULTY.
ON DECEMBER 20, 2004, I TRIED TO CRANK MY NEW 2004 RX-8 TO GO TO WORK. IT WAS 19 DEGREES OUTSIDE. THE CAR WOULD NOT CRANK. IT HAD BEEN SITTING FOR 2 DAYS OVER THE WEEKEND. UNFORTUNATELY, I TOOK IT OUT OF GEAR AND DID NOT PLACE IT BACK IN. WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND WENT INSIDE, IT ROLLED, HITTING A TREE CAUSING $3800 DOLLARS WORTH OF DAMAGE. THE TREE WAS HIT VERY HARD AND THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. APPARENTLY, THIS CAR "SUPPOSEDLY" WAS RECALLED AND FIXED WHILE STILL OWED BY THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP ACCORDING TO THEIR RECORDS. HOWEVER, AFTER HAVING IT TOWED INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, IT HAD NOT BEEN FIXED. I WAS NEVER TOLD OF ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS OR RECALLS PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE OF THE CAR. *AK
A MONTH AFTER I PURCHASED MY 2004 MAZDA RX8, I WENT TO START THE VEHICLE ONE MORNING AND IT WOULDN'T START. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO SERVICE AND THEY ADVISED THEY DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. SERVICE DID A BATTERY INSPECTION, CHARGING AND TESTING; A DIAGNOSIS ON THE SPARK PLUG SET AND DRIVE CYCLE; AND CLEANED THE PLUG THREADS. JUST THIS MONTH, I PULLED TO A STOP LIGHT AND THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING THEN DIED. HAD IT TOWED TO SERVICE. SERVICE SAID VEHICLE NEEDED NEW COMPUTER PROGRAM INSTALLED FROM MAZDA. HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR 1 YEAR.*AK
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING AND WHILE ADJUSTING THE RADIO VEHICLE WENT DOWN A 6 FOOT EMBANKMENT AND ROLLED OVER. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED. *AK *TC
