What does a report contain?

A purchased report stays available for 31 days, and within that window you can open it as often as you like at no extra cost.

How do report credits work?

One credit unlocks one full report for any VIN. Checking the same VIN again within 24 hours reuses your existing report instead of spending another credit.

Which vehicles can I check?

Vehicles titled in the United States — cars, motorcycles, trucks and motorhomes. For a VIN that has never been titled in the US we usually cannot produce a report.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Payments are processed by Stripe with all major credit and debit cards. Your card details go directly to Stripe — they never touch our servers.

What is your refund policy?

You can request a refund within 14 days of purchase. The exact conditions are in the refund policy; to start one, send us a message below from the email you paid with.

Is this a subscription?

Report packs are one-time purchases — nothing renews on its own. Membership plans, where offered, renew on the cycle shown at checkout and can be cancelled at any time by writing to us.

I paid but don't see my report.

Accepted Answer

Give it a few seconds and refresh — a bank occasionally holds a payment briefly. If the report still isn't there, message us with the email you paid with and we will locate the payment and sort it out.

Where do I find the VIN?

The most common spots are the driver's-side corner of the dashboard under the windshield, the sticker in the driver's door jamb, and the title or insurance documents. Our short guide shows each location.

Why isn't my VIN recognized?

Accepted Answer

A VIN is exactly 17 characters and never contains the letters I, O or Q — what looks like one of those is a 1 or a 0. If the number is right and still not found, the vehicle is most likely not titled in the US.

Where does your data come from?

The backbone is NMVTIS, the US federal title database, layered with auction records, odometer readings and NHTSA recall data. Our guide What is NMVTIS? explains what the system does and does not record.

A record in my report looks wrong.

We show records exactly as the sources report them, so an odd entry usually traces back to the registry itself. Send us the VIN and the section that looks off — we will check it against the source data.

I forgot my password.

Accepted Answer

Use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page and we will email you a reset link. It sometimes lands in the spam folder — check there first.

How do I change my account email?

Send us a message from the address currently on the account and tell us the new one — we will switch it over and confirm.

How do I delete my account?

Send the request from your account's email address using the form below. We remove the account and its personal data, keeping only what payment regulations require us to retain.
