WHEN I PUT THE DRIVER SEAT BELT ON I'M UNABLE TO UNBUCKLE OR UNSNAP THE SEATBELT. I HAVE TO SLIDE OUT FROM UNDERNEATH IT TO GET OUT AND THE SENSOR KEEPS GOING OFF NOW. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND VERY DANGEROUS

PARKED CAR FOR 10 MINUTES, NO ISSUES AT ALL, AFTER RESTARTING THERE WERE A LOT OF NOISES AND I WAS TOLD THE ENGINE IS BROKEN AND THE FIXING COSTS ARE AROUND 12000$.
THE COMMON ISSUES OF MANY 2007 DODGE MAGNUM VEHICLES IS THAT MY SHIFTER WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF THE PARK POSITION, THE SPRING WAS POORLY MADE AND THE JOB COST AT A LOCAL DODGE PLACE $280. THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED WITH SEVERAL DODGE OWNERS AND ITS OUTRAGEOUS THAT IT NOT NOT CONSIDERED A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON A SIDE STREET AND AFTER WORK I WENT INTO MY CAR TO DRIVE HOME AND THE SHIFTER WOULD NOT MOVE.

MY DODGE MAGNUM KEEPS GOING INTO LIMP MODE. LIMITS TO 35 MPH AND WILL SLOW YOU TO 35 QUICKLY. I TOOK IT IN TO A DODGE DEALER AND THEY PREFORMED A TCM UPDATE AND ALLOWED ME TO TAKE THE CAR I MADE IT 5 MILES BEFORE GOING INTO LIMP MODE. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CLEARED THE CODE AND I COULD DRIVE IT FOR A WHILE BEFORE IT WOULD GO IN LIMP MODE. ( SO I COULD DRIVE OFF AND GET IN TRAFFIC ON OPEN ROAD GO IN LIMP MODE AND POSSIBLY CRASH OR BE CRASHED INTO GOING 35 MPH ON A 65MPH INTERSTATE) NOT SAFE IN MY BOOKS. THIS IS MY 4TH DODGE AND 3RD TIME I HAVE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM. 05 MAGNUM, 07 MAGNUM. 05 RAM 1500. THERE IS FORMS WHERE THIS HAPPENS OFTEN. I THINK DODGE SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM AND NOT CHARGE ME EVERYTIME THEY HAVE TO LOOK AT IT. 70$ JUST TO TELL ME IT'S IN LIMP MODE WHEN I ALREADY KNEW THAT AND KNEW WHAT CODE WAS TRIPPED FOR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

POWER TRAIN - "SHIFT INTERLOCK LATCH" - VECHILE STUCK IN PARK - DODGE WILL NOT PERMIT OUR VECHILE TO BE COVERED BY THEIR "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION K39 TRANSMISSION SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER." BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE CORRECT MODEL AND YEAR, OUR VIN NUMBER IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS RECALL BECAUSE IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION. I SAY IT IS THE SAME SMALL PLASTIC FLIMSY PART KNOWN AS THE "SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER "THAT BROKE. JUST AS IN THESE OTHER VEHICLES COVERED BY THIS RECALL. DEAR NHTSA, PLEASE MAKE THIS CHRYSLER RECALL K39 "TRANSMISSION SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER" TO COVER "ALL" 2005-2009 MODEL DODGE CHARGER, MAGNUM, CHRYSLER 300 EQUIPPED WITH A FLOOR SHIFTER.
CALLED DEALERSHIP AFTER RECEIVING SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN JUNE 2015. THEY DON'T HAVE PARTS TO REPAIR/REPLACE DEFECTIVE PARTS. THEY'LL NOTIFY US WHEN THEY RECEIVE THEM. CALLED DEALERSHIP AFTER RECEIVING ADDITIONAL SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN SEPTEMBER 2015. THEY DON'T HAVE PARTS TO REPAIR/REPLACE DEFECTIVE PARTS. THEY'LL NOTIFY US WHEN THEY RECEIVE THEM. WHY ARE THERE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE WHEN THEY KNOW THERE IS A PRESENT DANGER TO THE DRIVERS LIVES? WHY SEND OUT NOTICES IF THERE IS NO RESOLUTION TO THE THREAT? DOES NO ONE CARE ABOUT SAVING DRIVERS LIVES?
CAR WAS IN GARAGE AT HOME. I STARTED THE ENGINE AND WAS GOING TO BACK OUT OF GARAGE BUT COULD NOT GET SHIFTER OUT OF PARK. HAD CAR TOWED TO DODGE DEALER. SERVICE REP SAID HE'S SEEN OTHER MAGNUMS, 300'S AND CHARGERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. $510.00 LATER THE CAR WAS FIXED...ENTIRE SHIFTER ASS'Y WAS REPLACED AND CAR RUNS FINE NOW. NO INDICATION OF TROUBLE BEFORE IT BROKE BUT THIS MAY BE A WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM FOR CHRYSLER CARS. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.

VEHICAL STALLS WHILE DRIVING. CAN HAPPEN AT ANY SPEED. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND COULD HAPPEN AT A TIME WHEN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT COULD HAPPEN. THE DEALER CLAIMS NO KNOWLEDGE OF SUCH THINGS AND ADVISED THAT IT WAS BAD FUEL PUMPS. THE REPLACED THEM AT A COST OF ABOUT $1,200.00 AND THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. VEHICLE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTER IS "STUCK IN PARK". THIS LEAVES THE DRIVER STRANDED AT A LOCATION. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH DODGE AND CHRYSLER 2007 VEHICLES. (ALSO, CIRCA 2007) A RECALL WAS ISSUED FOR THE SHIFTER INTERLOCK "PINK THING" BUT ONLY FOR CERTAIN VINS. MINE HAS THE SAME PART, BUT NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL. IF YOU LOOK ON THE INTERNET AT "DODGE STUCK IN PARK" YOU WILL SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE LIKE ME ARE IN THIS SAME PREDICAMENT. I AM OLD AND HAVE MEDICAL PROBLEMS FOR WHICH I DON'T NEED TO BE STRANDED OR MAY NEED THE VEHICLE TO GET TO A DOCTOR, ETC. CHRYSLER DODGE SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL FOR THE REST OF THESE "STUCK IN PARK ISSUES". THANKS!

FIRST INSTANCE, WHILE SLOWING DOWN FOR A STOP LIGHT FELT A SHUDDER AND ENGINE SHUT OFF, ALL OTHER SYSTEMS APPEARED NORMAL. COASTED TO STOP, ENGINE RESTARTED WITHOUT TROUBLE. NEAR FULL TANK OF FUEL. SECOND INSTANCE, WHILE IN A PARKING LOT SHIFTING FROM PARK TO REVERSE ENGINE SHUT OFF, ALL OTHER SYSTEMS APPEARED NORMAL AND ENGINE RESTARTED WITHOUT TROUBLE. FILLED FUEL TANK THE PREVIOUS DAY, 3/4 TANK TODAY. HAS HAPPENED ON OTHER OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING AT SLOW SPEEDS BUT I DO NOT REMEMBER THE QUANTITY OF FUEL, EACH TIME THAT CAR HAS RESTARTED WITHOUT INSTANCE AND EACH TIME EVERYTHING ELSE APPEARED NORMAL. THE ENGINE ALWAYS SEEMS TO RUN PROPERLY AND ALL OF THE CARS OTHER SYSTEMS SEEM TO OPERATE NORMALLY. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THROUGH ARIZONA IN MY 2007 DODGE MAGNUM SXT ONE OF THE COOLING FANS DISINTEGRATED AND DAMAGED MY RADIATOR PUNCHING HOLES AND CAUSING COOLANT TO BEGIN RAPIDLY LEAKING. AFTER ASSESSING THE DAMAGE I WAS ABLE TO LIMP THE CAR ALONG TO THE NEXT TOWN WHERE I WAITED FOR A FRIEND TO PICK UP A NEW RADIATOR AND DRIVE 2 HOURS TO OUR LOCATION WHERE WE CHANGED IT OUT IN A PARKING LOT. IT WAS 107 DEGREES. 2 DAYS LATER I PURCHASED AND INSTALLED THE FAN FROM THE LOCAL DODGE DEALER. I RETURNED HOME THE NEXT DAY AND BEGAN RESEARCHING THE CAUSE OF THIS EQUIPMENT FAILURE. IT TURNS OUT THAT CHRYSLER RELEASED A RECALL "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION L08 ENGINE COOLING FANS" FOR 2006 THRU 2008 MODEL YEAR VEHICLES WITH "SEVERE DUTY ENGINE COOLING" SYSTEMS WITH THE SALES CODE NMS, XDL OR XDK AND BUILT THROUGH APRIL 29, 2008. MY VEHICLE HAS THE SALES CODE NMCP AND HAS BEEN EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL. HOWEVER MY RESEARCH REVEALS THAT THERE IS NO DISTINGUISHABLE DIFFERENCE IN THE FANS PART NUMBER FROM THE YEARS 2004 THRU 2014. CONTACTING CHRYSLER ABOUT THIS BROUGHT NO RESULTS. I RECOMMEND ESTABLISHING A RECORD OF THESE FAN FAILURE OCCURRENCES IN VEHICLES THAT HAVE OTHER THAN THE RECALL'S STATED SALES CODES, AND THAT A NEW RECALL FOR ALL VEHICLES WITH THIS COOLING FAN SYSTEM BE RELEASED. THE EXISTING RECALL INCLUDES "SOLD TO SALES CODES AND/OR ARE CURRENTLY REGISTERED IN WARM CLIMATE STATES...". I LIVE IN A DESIGNATED WARM CLIMATE STATE ACCORDING TO THE RECALL. WE WERE FORTUNATE THAT THE BLADES DIDN'T CUT ANY HIGH PRESSURE HYDRAULIC LINES OR OTHER SAFETY CRITICAL OR FUEL LINES. *TR

THIS COMPLAINT IS ON THE SUNSHINE KIDS SUPER-LATCH COMPONENT OF MY RADIAN CAR SEAT. THE SUPER LATCH BECOMES LOOSE AFTER A COUPLE DAYS OF NORMAL USE. I THEN HAVE TO RETIGHTED FOR A CORRECT INSTALLATION. THERE IS A NICE SUPER TIGHT INSTALL AND WITH MY 35 LBS CHILD SITTING IN IT CORRECTLY, THE LATCH BECOMES LOOSE MAKING THE CARSEAT VERY UNSAFE. THE DOM IS 10/09. LOT # 0911. PN# SSK-000306-SB-08. THE SELECTION FOR MY MODEL NUMBER IS NOT OFFERED. THE CAR SEAT MODEL # IS US19000. MANUFACTUING DATE IS 08/08 AND THE SERIAL NUMBER IS 08080052802691. I DID NOT SEE A PLACE TO PUT THE CORRECT INFORMATION FURTHER ON IN THE FORM. SUNSHINE KIDS SEND ME THE SUPER LATCH AS A REPLACEMENT PART FOR MY ORIGINAL LATCH THAT BECAME TANGLED AND UNUSABLE. THEY DID NOT OFFER THE ORIGINAL LATCH AS A REPLACEMENT AND SENT THE SUPER LATCH INSTEAD. I CONTACTED SUNSHINK KIDS TO INQUIRED ABOUT A NEW REPLACEMENT SUPER LATCH DUE TO THE LOOSENING PROBLEM AND THEY WERE HAPPY TO SEND ME A REPLACEMENT FOR ONE OF MY SEATS. THEY HOWEVER, DID NOT OFFER TO PREVENTATIVELY REPLACE MY OTHER CARSEAT THAT WAS NOT YET EXPERIENCING THE SAME INSTALLATION PROBLEM. I FEEL THAT A RECAL SHOULD BE MADE ON THE SUPER-LATCH DUE TO THE GROWING NUMBER OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. (RELATED VEHICLE INFORMATION: MODEL YEAR=2007, MAKE=DODGE, MODEL=MAGNUM). *TR
GAS FUMES ENTER CAR WHEN AC IS ON, ENGINE IS HOT AND WHEN UNDER HARDER ACCELERATION . PUTTING WINDOWS DOWN CLEARS FUMES. THE CAR HAS DONE THIS SINCE NEW AND STILL DOES IT. I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING FAILURES WITH THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR (CODE C121A) INTERMITTENTLY FOR OVER A MONTH. IN DOING RESEARCH WITH OTHER OWNERS OF THE LX SERIES VEHICLES (CHARGER, MAGNUM, 300) AND JEEP VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE SENSOR IT SEEMS THAT THIS PART COMMONLY FAILS, OFTEN FOR AN UNDETERMINED REASON. EXPLANATIONS VARY BETWEEN CHAFING AND FRICTION CAUSING PLASTIC CHIPS TO OBSCURE THE ELECTRO-OPTICAL SENSOR, TO CHAFING OR BAD WIRING HARNESSES. THE INABILITY OF THIS SENSOR TO INITIALIZE RESULTS IN A LACK OF ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL WHICH COULD CONTRIBUTE TO A CRASH. THIS PROBLEM IS WELL DOCUMENTED AND DISCUSSED ON MULTIPLE ONLINE VEHICLE FORUMS SUCH AS 300CFORUMS.COM, JEEPSUNLIMITED.COM, LXFORUMS.COM, JK-FORUM.COM, DODGEFORUM.COM AND A LITANY OF OTHER WEBSITES. SOME EVEN HAVE THREADS DISCUSSING THE POSSIBILITY OF RECALLS AND SERVICE ADVISORS TELLING CUSTOMERS IT IS A "COMMON" PROBLEM, HOWEVER DAIMLER-CHRYSLER HAS NOT SEEN FIT TO TAKE ANY CORRECTIVE ACTION OR ISSUE A RECALL, NOR ARE THERE ANY TSBS THAT I COULD LOCATE. *TR
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTER LOCKED IN PARK AND WOULD NOT MOVE. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO SHOP.EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY DENIED CLAIM, SAYING THAT THIS WAS NOT PART OF THE TRANSMISSION. THE DEALER CHARGED ME $500.00 TO REPLACE THE SHIFTER. DODGE AGREED TO PAY HALF, BUT I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS AN ONGOING CONDITION OF THESE VEHICLES THAT THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD PAY FOR THE FIX AND NOT OFFER ME HALF. *TR
I OWN A 2007 DODGE MAGNUM. MY COMPLAINT IS ABOUT THE GEAR SHIFTER ON DODGE VEHICLES. THE SHIFTER STICKS IN THE PARK POSITION AND HAS TO BE REPLACED AT OWNERS COST . MY UNDERSTANDING THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THIS COMPANY'S VEHICLES. I SPOKE WITH AN EMPLOYEE WITH THE DEALERSHIP I HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED, HE MADE A STATEMENT THAT THEY HAVE TO REPAIR ABOUT 10 A WEEK. IF THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM, DO YOU NOT THINK THE CAR COMPANY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE IN REPLACING THE PART THAT IS MALFUNCTIONING ?? *TR
MY 2007 MAGNUM HAS 48K MILES AND RECENTLY HAD THE ENGINE LIGHT COME ON SHOWING CODE 1004. RESEARCH ONLINE SHOWS THIS CODE TO BE VERY PREVALENT WITH THIS MODEL OF DODGE, YET THEY CLAIM IT IS NOT AN ISSUE, AND ARE ASKING $1300+ FOR REPLACEMENT/PARTS FOR THE INTAKE AND SHORT-RUNNER ACTUATORS. AS WELL, MY SUNROOF TRACK FAILED AND THE SUNROOF WILL NOT MOVE. BOTH THE GUIDE ATTACHED TO THE GLASS AND THE SUNROOF ASSEMBLY BOTH HAVE BROKEN PLASTIC PARTS. *TR

I COULD NOT SHIFT THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OUT OF PARK. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK OPERATOR SHOWED UP HE ALREADY HAD THE TOOLS OUT TO RELEASE THE SHIFTER.
