The frame on my ranger is so rust the spare tire came out from under the truck . I’ve tried to find a used one but no one has them because this is a problem I’ve come to find out with everyone’s. So if you can help me or tell me why these vehicles haven’t been recalled over this problem please get back in touch with me. Thanks

THE TIRE ROLLED DOWN THE ROAD AND INTO A FIELD. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REPAIRED THE VEHICLE HIMSELF. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 195,000. CONSUMER STATED THE CABLE THAT RAISES AND LOWER SPARE TIRE BROKE.

2007 FORD RANGER WITH 77360 MILES DID NOT PASS INSPECTION AS FRAME IS RUSTED OUT. NOT ROAD WORTHY
WE HAVE BEEN RECEIVING NOTIFICATION FOR OVER A YEAR OF THE RECALL. OWNER HAS CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR, IS THEN CONNECTED TO DEALERSHIP (PHIL LONG FORD) WHERE HE HAS LEFT MESSAGES. THE CALLS ARE NEVER RETURNED AND NO ALTERNATIVE IS OFFERED WHEN HE EXPLAINS THIS TO THE PERSON AT THE RECALL 800 NUMBER
DUE TO RUST HAVE TO REPLACED THE REAR BUMPER. THE CONSUMER STATED THE TAILGATE WAS ALSO RUSTED. THE ENTIRE REAR FRAME WAS RUSTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *JS
I CONTACTED THE RECALL CENTER BY PHONE AS RECOMMENDED. THE LADY THAT ANSWERED SAID SHE COULD NOT FIND A MATCH BASED ON THE VIN FOR THE RECALL. SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD HAVE A SUPERVISOR CALL ME WITHIN 24 HOURS. THAT WAS WEEKS AGO AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL AND I AM STILL GETTING THESE RECALL NOTICES. PLEASE ADDRESS THE PROBLEM.

I RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTICE MONTHS AGO AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP. I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM. I THOUGHT THE FIRST RECALL WAS FOR THE DRIVER AIS BAG ON MY VEHICLE, THEN CAME THE PASSENGER AIRBAG.
TAKATA AIRBAG 16S26 ON THE 12TH OF OCTOBER 2018 I WENT TO BILL KAY FORD IN MIDLOTHIAN ILLINOIS 60445. THEY PERFORM THE RECALL AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE ON THE 17TH THEY CALLED ME AND SAID THEY MADE A MISTAKE AND NEEDED ME TO BRING IT BACK I BROUGHT IT BACK ON THE 18TH OF OCTOBER AND EVERY SINCE THEN THE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT HAS BEEN MAKING A GRINDING NOISE THAT I DIDN'T HEAR THE FIRST TIME THEY INSTALLED IT I TOOK IT BACK ON THE 23RD I SHOWED THEM THE VIDEO FOOTAGE OF THE SOUND IT WAS MAKING TWO DIFFERENT WORKERS SAT IN THE TRUCK AND HEARD THE SOUND THEY KEPT THE TRUCK FOR 8 HOURS AND CALLED AND TOLD ME THAT THEY TIGHTENED EVERYTHING DOWN BUT IT WAS STILL MAKING THE SOUND AND IT WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT.I TRIED TO MAKE A COMPLAINT WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO HAVE THEM INSTRUCT THE MIDLOTHIAN DEALERSHIP TO TAKE THE AIRBAG MODULE RECALL OUT SO I CAN GO TO A DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM PERFORM THE WORK CORRECTLY. FORD MOTOR COMPANY SAID THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO TELL THEM TO DO SO I CALLED MIDLOTHIAN AND ASKED THEM TO TAKE THE RECALL OUT SO I CAN HAVE SOMEONE DO IT CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME AT A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP. AND THEY REFUSED TO DO SO I FEEL UNSAFE I AM ANNOYED AND THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE

MY 2007 FORD RANGER PICK UP TRUCK HAS EXTREME PREMATURE RUST TO THE ENTIRE FRAME RESULTING IN IT BEING UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE RUST RESULTED IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE WITH ONLY 83,557 MILES ON IT. THROUGH ONLINE INVESTIGATION AND BY TALKING TO OTHER FORD RANGER OWNERS I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A COMMON AND REOCCURRING PROBLEM WITH THE RANGERS. I KNOW THAT FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL. I KNOW THAT THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT FORMING IN TX OVER THIS EXACT ISSUE. I FEEL THIS WAS DECEPTIVE AND UNFAIR OF BOTH TOWNSEND FORD, THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME THE USED TRUCK, AND THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY BECAUSE WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE THEY KNEW ABOUT THE PREMATURE RUSTING FRAME ISSUE. THE RUST IS SO EXTREME THAT THE SPARE TIRE CARRIAGE UNDERNEATH COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT AND THE TIRE DROPPED TO THE GROUND. ANOTHER PART OF THE ENGINE (THE E-VAP?) HAD TO BE STRAPPED UP FOR FEAR IT WILL DROP TO THE GROUND AS WELL. 2 AUTO MECHANICS AND 2 DEALERS TOLD ME IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND WON'T PASS INSPECTION. (INCLUDING A FORD DEALER) MUCH OF THE SUPPORTING TRUCK FRAME IS COMPLETELY GONE OR FULL OF RUST HOLES AND CRACKS. ONE MECHANIC SUSPECTS THAT THE FRAME WAS NOT TREATED PROPERLY AT THE FACTORY, BECAUSE THE EXTREMELY RUSTED AND DECAYED FRAME IS ONLY ON ONE SIDE OF THE VEHICLE, WHILE THE OTHER SIDE HAS ONLY NORMAL SURFACE RUST.THE CURRENT KELLY BLUE BOOK VALUE IS $8,000., BUT I CAN'T SELL IT- IT WON'T PASS INSPECTION, AND I CAN'T DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE.THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN DRIVEN CONTINUALLY SINCE I PURCHASED IT IN BOTH CITY AND COUNTRY AND WAS NEVER ABANDONED.

WE CALLED AGAIN IN AUGUST, THEY SAID WOULDN'T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAGS UNTIL DECEMBER 2017. ON 10-07-2007 MY 2007' FORD RANGER PICK UP BURNED UP IN A FIRE THAT STARTED ON THE INSIDE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE WHERE THE AIR BAG WAS. ALSO THE RIGHT KICK PANEL WAS ALSO BURNED. UP. THE FIRE DEPT. CAME OUT PUT THE FIRE OUT AND TOLD US. THERE WAS ANOTHER FORD TRUCK THAT THEY OWNED WHICH DID THE SAME THING, I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT TWO BRAND NEW FORD TRUCKS BOTH OF THEM ARE FORD RANGER P/U AND TOLD THEM THAT I WANTED THEM TO LOAN US A CAR AND CHECK OUT THE FORD RANGER THAT WE STILL OWN THE SERVICE LADY SAID THAT ALL THEY WOULD DO IS TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT IT AND BRING IT IN ON A SAT. AM. THEY DON'T CARE WE ARE WORRIED THAT THIS OTHER FORD RANGER IS GOING TO DO THE SAME THING MY WIFE ALMOST DIED BECAUSE JUST RIGHT AFTER SHE GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE THE AIR BAG BLEW OUT AND IT WAS ON FIRE THE FIRE MAN SAID IT WOULD HAD KILLED MY WIFE IF SHE WOULD HAVE HAD BEEN STILL SETTING IN THAT TRUCK. 2007 FORD RANGER CUSTOMER STATES THAT THERE IS AN VIOLENT UNCONTROLLABLE SHAKING AND SHIMMY BETWEEN 45 TO 65 MPH**CC THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD. THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONSUMER TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED, THAT ICE AND SNOW WOULD BUILD UP IN THE GROOVE OF THE WHEEL. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT SINCE HE LIVED IN A CITY WITH SEVERE WINTER WEATHER, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. *JB

THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY INFORMED HIM THAT THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO WEATHER. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER, THEY ALSO INFORMED HIM THAT THE ICE BUILD UP IN THE WHEELS AND THREW THE WHEELS OFF BALANCE.
