THE LIGHT IS ON ,AIRBAG NOT WORKING AT THE CLUSTER
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 GMC SAVANA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO STOP, BUT THE BRAKES FAILED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 116,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TREAD LINE SEPARATED ON THE REAR DRIVER TIRE AND BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER TIRES. THESE WERE REPLACEMENT TIRES. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FRONT PASSENGER AND REAR DRIVER TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED AND STATED THAT THE TIRES WERE NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE VIN AND DOT NUMBER WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND STATED THAT THE LEFT INNER AND OUTER TIE ROD HAD FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THAT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,812.
