TAKATA AIRBAG HAS BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS MODEL. ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO CONTACT VIA INSTRUCTIONS ON RECALL LETTER FROM MANUFACTURER. WAS INFORMED SOMEONE WOULD BE OUT TO REPAIR IT AND NO ONE SHOWED UP.
FIRST STARTED WITH STEERING GETTING STUCK A BIT WHILE CHANGING LANES NOW THE ELECTRIC RACK AND PINION MAKES NOISE STEERING LEFT AND RIGHT WHILE PARKING IN AND OUT ALSO WHILE DRIVING.
FUEL IS NOT DELIVERED TO FIRING CHAMBER DUE TO FAILURE OF FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR. THIS WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO SHUT OFF WHEN ON THE ROAD. NO OBD-II CODE IS PRESENT SINCE THE FAILURE OF THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR WILL PUT THE CAR IN PROTECTED MODE, NO CODE CAN BE READ. WHEN ENGINE IS SHUT OFF, IT WILL HAVE NO POWER TO STEERING OR BRAKE SYSTEM, PUT DRIVER IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND OUT AFTER ARRIVING HOME. THE PROBLEM APPEARED THE NEXT MORNING.
THE DOOR PANELS AND DASH BOARD GETS STICKY AND MELT OVER THE YEARS AND THE SEATS STARTS TO TEAR AND BECOME LOOSE
TAKATA RECALL - MY CAR IS SUPPOSEDLY AFFECTED BY THE RECALL, BUT THE RECALL WILL NOT ACTUALLY SHOW UP IN THE SYSTEM- IT SOUNDS LIKE IT ONLY HAPPENS IN 2019 - WHICH IS GREATER THAN 6 YEARS AFTER THE CAR WAS PUT IN SERVICE. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY PASSENGERS AND LOSS OF VALUE TO THE CAR. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR IS CURRENTLY IN PA BUT WILL BE MOVING TO WARMER WEATHER CLIMATE AND THIS WILL CAUSE THE DEGRADATION TO HAPPEN MORE RAPIDLY. LEXUS REPORTS THERE ARE NO ISSUES, WHICH IS NOT TRUE ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN WEBSITE.

TAKATA RECALL TOYOTA HAS REFUSED TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IN MY CAR FOR 6 MONTHS, DESPITE REPEATED CONTACT. THE AIRBAG IS PART OF RECALL 16V340. I PRESENTED MY 2011 LEXUS IS 350C, VIN [XXX] TO TREASURE COAST LEXUS IN FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, ON JULY 28, 2016. THEY ADVISED THAT NO PARTS WERE AVAILABLE TO MAKE THE REPAIR. I HAVE FREQUENTLY CONTACTED THEM SINCE, RECEIVING THE SAME ANSWER. ON THE SAME DATE, I NOTIFIED TOYOTA MOTOR SALES U.S.A., INC. (TOYOTA US) AND TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TOYOTA JAPAN). TOYOTA JAPAN ACKNOWLEDGED MY LETTER IN THEIR LETTER TO ME OF AUGUST 4, 2016. I HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY CONTACTED BOTH TOYOTA US AND TOYOTA JAPAN. NEITHER HAS SENT ME ANY ADDITIONAL WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE. AFTER THREAT OF LAWSUIT, AN ATTORNEY CLAIMING TO "REPRESENT TOYOTA IN SOUTH FLORIDA" CONTACTED ME BY PHONE ON NOVEMBER 30, MAKING NO PROMISES OF ACTION OF ANY SORT. SHE STATED THAT TOYOTA WAS "NOT BUYING BACK CARS AT THIS TIME." I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED ON APRIL 30, 2016, 4 DAYS BEFORE THE CURRENT RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED BY NHTSA. THE AIRBAG SYSTEM IS STILL COVERED BY TOYOTA'S WRITTEN WARRANTY, AS THE CAR HAS ABOUT 66,000 MILES AND THE WARRANTY COVERS IT FOR 72,000 MILES OR 72 MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN AUGUST 2011, LESS THAN 72 MONTHS AGO. I SOUGHT ARBITRATION AND THE ARBITRATION PANEL (NCDS) DECLINED TO HEAR THE CASE. I WILL, WITHIN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS, INSTITUTE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST TOYOTA IN FLORIDA COURTS. I URGE YOU TO FIND THAT TOYOTA HAS VIOLATED AND CONTINUES TO MATERIALLY VIOLATE THE COORDINATED REMEDY ORDER AND 49 USC 30120. I ALSO URGE YOU TO REQUIRE TOYOTA TO STATE UNDER OATH HOW MANY VEHICLES HAVE BEEN PRESENTED FOR REMEDY BUT HAVE NOT BEEN REMEDIED. I FIND THIS HIGHLY DANGEROUS AND TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE FOR THE LEXUS CORPORATION; NOT TO MENTION PUTTING MY PERSONAL SAFETY AT RISK.

I'M FILING A COMPLAINT THAT LEXUS IS TAKING TOO LONG. BASED ON ATTACHED SCREENSHOT, THEIR EXCUSE IS: "RECALL STATUS: RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE" NOT ACCEPTABLE.

THE REAR SEATS ARE NOT CONVENIENT IN THE IS250C MODEL AS IT IS A TWO DOOR AND THE REAR SEATS OFFER A CRAMPED SPACE FOR PASSENGERS.

TAKATA INFLATORS. THIS IS A ZONE A VEHICLE. LEXUS CLAIMS TO HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE RECALL WILL BE REPAIRED, BUT ADVISES US NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR WITH ANYONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. SO, THE CAR IS BASICALLY UNUSABLE.

I FEEL IT IS MY RIGHT TO HAVE THE BAGS TAKEN OUT AND TO DEPEND ON THE TRUSTY SEATBELT. CAN I HAVE THIS DONE AT NO CHARGE TO ME? IN A TRAFFIC LIGHT ABOUT TO MAKE A LEFT, WHEN LIGHTS TURNED GREEN IT ACCELERATED NORMALLY UNTIL SPEED WAS AT 25-30MPH ITS STOPPED THERE. WILL ONLY REV UP TO 2000 RPM WOULD CHANGE GEARS BUT IN ITS OWN DESIRED TIME . PULLED OVER TURN OFF THE CAR TURNED IT BACK ON SAME HAPPND. ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON AND FRM THERE IT WOULD RUN THE SAME ACCELERATE NORMALLY AND REMAIN IN AFLACTUATING SPEED OF 2-30MPH UNTIL NOW LEXUS OF LAS VEGAS WILL NOT AKNOWLEDGE ELF RECALL STATING MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THEIR LIST. WILL NOT HONOR ALL PAPERWORK FROM THIS WEBSITE. SPOKE TO JUSTIN AND I WILL NOW TAKE MY CAR HOME BECAUSE THEY WERE INSISTING FOR ME TO PAY TO THE AMOUNT OF 2098 JUST FOR THE HIGH PRESSURE PUMP EXCLUDING LABOR.
