AT 110K MY CAR STALLED. MID SUMMER 2020 I STARTED MY CAR IT BEGAN TO DRIVE THEN STOPPED MOVING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT ON LIBERTY ST IN SPFLD, MASSACHUSETTS. I HAD TO BE PUSHED OUT OF THE ROAD INTO THE CUMBERLAND FARMS THAT WAS TO THE LEFT FRONT OF ME. MY CAR WOULD START UP BUT THERE WAS NO POWER WHEN YOU PRESSED GAS IN DRIVE. IT WOULD TURN ON BUT WOULDN'T DRIVE. I HAD IT SENT TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY CONFIRMED THE TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED DUE TO CVT ISSUES THE BELT AND IT WOULD COST ESTIMATE OF $3500 TO REPLACE. I EMPTIED MY SAVINGS AND BOUGHT A NEW CAR. I STILL OWN MY NISSAN BECAUSE IT HAS LESS THAN 120K AND IS IN MINT CONDITION EXPECT THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. I PAID FOR TOES AND RENTALS WHILE MY CAR WAS SERVICED AT NISSAN AS WELL.
2011 CUBE, REAR DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. NO DOOR HANDLE IN SIDE OF VEHICLE, NO WAY TO OPEN. THIS IS A REAL HAZARD. I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS, FROM OTHER CUBE OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
REAR BACK DOOR DOES NOT OPEN EVEN U U TRY TO LOCK & UNLOCK,JUST HAPPEND OUT OF THE BLUE .ALSO THE RIGHT DRIVER WINDOW ONE ROLL DOWN . THE OTHER PROBLEM THAT HAPPEN OUT OF THE BLUE WERE BOTH MY SUN VISOR DONT GO UP WHICH MAKE THAT A HAZARD TO SEE TRAFIC
PASSENGERS SEAT BELT BECAME UNBOLTED FROM BODY OF CAR. THE BOLT THAT HELD THE BOLT TO THE CAR AT THE FLOOR BY THE DOOR WAS JUST HANGING ON THE BELT. THERE WAS ABOUT AN INCH OF THREADS ON THE BOLT. IT MUST HAVE BEEN WORKING IT'S WAY OUT FOR A LONG LONG TIME THE PASSENGER WAS PUTTING ON THE BELT WHEN IT HAPPENED
MY CAR STALLED OUT OF NO WHERE WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. TRANSMISSION DIED AT 120,000 MILES.
UNDER 59,000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME MY CVT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED FOR $3,400. BUMMER.
ONLY A 103K AN ENGINE BEGAN TO MAKE A WHINING SOUND AND THEN JUST SLIPPING. DROVE IT THIS WAY FOR TWO WEEKS AND THEN IT WOULDN'T START REMOVE AT ALL. HAD TO SINK IN $3,000 FOR A USED TRANSMISSION. A NEW ONE WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER $4,000! EVEN MY EXTENDED WARRANTY WOULD NOT PAY FOR IT.
CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE. WILL NOT MOVE. CAR WAS RUNNING FINE I CAME TO A STOP, AND CAR WOULD NOT GO. THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES. NOW THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE AT ALL. NISSAN SAYS IT NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION. APPARENTLY IT IS THE FAULT OF THEIR CVT. I HAVE SEEN MANY MANY PEOPLE ON LINE WITH THIS ISSUE. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY REFUSE TO HELP.
MY CAT TRANSMISSION IS FAILING. I ONLY HAVE 101K MILES AND A NEW TRANSMISSION ISN'T IN MY BUDGET. PLEASE GET NISSAN TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY TO 120K LIKE ON PREVIOUS MODELS. I HAVE 5 KIDS AND NEED MY VEHICLE TO GET THEM TO AND FROM SCHOOL. THE FIRST SIGN IS A HORRENDOUS WHINING SOUND. THEN SLIPPING AND FAILURE.
2011 NISSAN CUBE WITH JUST UBDER 100,000 MILES WAS FINE ONE DAY AND THE NEXT BARELY ABLE TO PULL ITSELF. MADE STRANGE NOISE UPON REVVING THE ENGINE. HAD TO BE TOWED FOR SERVICE. ALMOST $4000 LATER I WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION IS NISSAN PROPRIETARY AND CAN NOT BE REBUILT. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT NISSAN IS CONTINUING TO HAVE CVT PROBLEMS. MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT EVEN THOUGH THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM HAD THE TRANSMISSON SERVICED AT 60,000. MAKES NO SENSE TO ME WHY IT WOULD GO OUT EVEN IF PROPERLY MAINTAINED TO INSURE NO DUST OR DIRT GOT INTO THE FLUID.
INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL CRASH WHERE SOMEBODY MADE A LEFT HAND TURN IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS GOING 40 STRAIGHT ON THE ROAD. SLAMMED ON MY BREAKS BUT STILL HIT THE TURNING CAR. THE WHOLE FRONT CRUMPED SO THE CAR WAS TOTALED BUT THE AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. *TT
SINCE NOV OF 2014 I HAVE DEALT WITH PERSISTENT START-UP ISSUE WITH MY 2011 NISSAN CUBE. THE VEHICLE SIMPLY CAN FAIL TO START AT ANY TIME AND WITHOUT WARNING. IT HAS PUSH BUTTON IGNITION. THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM JACKIE COOPER & NISSAN NORTH AMERICA. THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE AND UNWILLING TO SOLVE THE ISSUES DESPITE REPEATED VISITS TO THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. THEY ARE ATTEMPTING TO IGNORE THEIR OBLIGATION TO FIX MY VEHICLE AS STIPULATED BY THEIR WARRANTY.
THE DOGBONE THAT HOLDS THE ENGINE, BROKE AND THE ENGINE WELL DOWN AND I HAVE TO GET IT REPAIRED, IT AFFECTED THE BRACKET TRANSMITTION MOUNTING, THE AXLE AND HAD TO REPLACE THE MOUNTS. IT COSTS ME $1,112.41 TO REPAIR. MY CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE CHECK MOTOR MOUNT FAILED.
IS THE CUBE ON THE RECALL LIST AUTO AIRBAG SETTLEMENT
EVERY SO OFTEN THE AC OR THE FAN DOESN'T WORK AFTER STARTING THE CAR, SOMETIMES FOR DAYS AT TIME. THEN IT WILL JUST START WORKING RANDOMLY USUALLY WHILE WE ARE DRIVING. ALSO THE DRIVER SEAT BELT WILL UNCLICK RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING SOMETIMES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN CUBE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT OPERABLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE, BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS CONTACTED AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW CVT. AUTOCENTERS NISSAN (1825 E EDWARDSVILLE RD, WOOD RIVER, IL) STATED THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND CVT REPLACEMENT WOULD BE AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000.
TAKATA RECALL...HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY OTHER INFO OTHER THAN 'MATCH FOUND', ALONG WITH THE STATEMENT THAT IT SHOULD BE FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. SHOULD I TAKE IT TO A NISSAN DEALER; OR WAIT TO HEAR SOMETHING FROM SOMEONE? USUALLY THE RESPONSES I HAVE RECEIVED STATE NOT TO EMAIL BACK TO THEM.
2011 NISSAN CUBE WITH 72,000 MILES ON IT HAS TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. THE TRANSMISSION SHAKES AND WHINES. MULTIPLE CASES OF THIS OCCURRING HAS GOTTEN NO HELP OR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FROM NISSAN. THEY PUT UNSAFE TRANSMISSIONS IN THEIR CARS AND REFUSE TO COVER THEM.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD I NOTICE A BURNING SMELL AND LOUD MUFFLER/EXHAUST NOISE. WHEN I PULLED OVER TO LOOK UNDER THE REAR OF THE CAR TO INSPECT THE MUFFLER I SAW A LARGE WHOLE IN THE REAR BUMPER AND THE MUFFLER HAD LOOSENED. THE MUFFLER POINTED UP SO THAT IT WAS DIRECTLY AIMED AT THE INSIDE OF THE REAR BUMPER. THIS CAUSED IT TO IGNITE AND BURN A HOLE IN THE REAR BUMPER. I CALLED NISSAN CORPORATE TO FILE A CLAIM AND THEY INFORMED ME I HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS BECAUSE THEY HAD NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. THE LOCAL DEALER SAID THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE, AND IS NOW UNSAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE IT COULD CAUSE A LARGER FIRE AND IGNITE THE FLOORBOARD OR THE MUFFLER COULD FALL OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALER TOLD ME THEY WOULD REPLACE THE MUFFLER AND NECESSARY PARTS AT MY OWN COST OR WELD IT BACK, BUT IT WOULD BE THE SAME PARTS THAT ARE KNOWN TO EASILY DEFECT IN THIS MANNER. I HAVE LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE WITH CUBE'S AND OTHER NISSAN'S AROUND THE SAME YEARS OF PRODUCTION. SOME ISSUES APPEARED AS EARLY AS 12,000 MILES AND THE MANUFACTURER COVERED THE COST UNDER WARRANT, BUT MINE WON'THE SINCE IT HAS 70,000 MILES. I HAVE NO UNDERCARRIAGE DAMAGE SO THEY BELIEVE IT WAS RUSTED OUT BECAUSE OF SALTS ON THE ROAD TO TREAT ICE AND SNOW IN MY REGION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN CUBE. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,400.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN CUBE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
INTERNAL TRANSMISSION FAILURE , MADE A WIDE RIGHT TURN AND VEHICLE WENT INTO SAFE MODE. CVT ISSUE ... NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT EVER CAME ON WARNING FOR CAUTION.
MY 2011 NISSAN CUBE WAS BEING DRIVEN TO WORK ON THE INTERSTATE. I PRESSED ON THE GAS AND THE CAR DID NOT MOVE, ALL OF A SUDDEN IT LURCHED FORWARD ALMOST CAUSING ME TO REAR END THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION ON A 2011? THE CAR IS BARELY FOUR YEARS OLD. IT IS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY AND IT IS COSTING ME $3700.00. AFTER RESEARCHING, I SEE THAT THEY HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTIES UP TO THE 2010 MODELS. IT IS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO. *TR
I WAS ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK WHEN A DEER JUMPED IN FRONT OF ME. I TRIED TO AVOID IT. I CRASHED MY CAR INTO THE GUARD RAIL CRUSHING THE WHOLE FRONT END. (I HAVE PICTURES) THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL. I BROKE TWO RIBS AND HAD CONTUSIONS ALL OVER THE FRONT OF MY BODY,FINGERS,ARMS,LEGS,ETC. *TR
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A COMPLETE STOP OUR NISSAN CUBE INTERMITTENTLY ACCELERATES VERY SLOWLY AND IS NOT RESPONSIVE TO DEPRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WILL THEN LURCH FORWARD AS THOUGH IT IS DOWN SHIFTING AND TAKES OFF. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED AND INVESTIGATED BY THE DEALER 3 - 4 TIMES (FIRST REPORT IN JULY 2012) WITH THE MOST RECENT VISIT (OCT 2014) RESULTING IN A REPLACED TRANSMISSION. THIS LAST WEEK (NOV 2014) MY WIFE AND I WERE ALMOST IN AN ACCIDENT WHEN PULLING OUT INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AS A RESULT OF THIS BEHAVIOR. WE WILL BE CONTACTING THE DEALER AND NISSAN THIS WEEK AS WE HAVE LOST CONFIDENCE IN THE VEHICLE AND ARE CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR FAMILY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN CUBE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED BY THE CONTACT APPLYING THE PARKING BRAKE, DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND POWERING OFF THE VEHICLE SIMULTANEOUSLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 7,752 .
PASSENGER WEIGHING 120 LB SAT IN FRONT SEAT. PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF LIGHT CAME ON, ALERTING TO LACK OF AIRBAG FOR PASSENGER SIDE OCCUPANT. THIS HAS HAPPENED REPEATEDLY, AND AFTER VARYING LENGTHS OF TIME IN VEHICLE. *TR
ON APRIL 26, 2013 WHILE LEAVING THE GROCERY STORE WITH MOM & NEWBORN MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED CERRITOS NISSAN & ASKED WHAT THE WARRANTY MILEAGE WAS ON THERE VEHICLES WHICH THEY INFORMED ME 36K. I GOT MY VEHICLE TO START AFTER SEVERAL TRIES, AND TOOK MY VEHICLE TO NISSAN AND AFTER 3 HOURS I WAS TOLD THE BATTERY WAS VERY LOW & THEY WOULD ONLY BE ABLE TO CHARGE MY BATTERY. (BASED ON NISSAN WARRANTY GUIDELINES) MY VEHICLE LEFT ME AGAIN THAT WEEKEND ON SUNDAY 4/28 AAA WAS CALLED TO JUMP START MY VEHICLE. I CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS & SPOKE TO A REPRESENTATIVE WHO OFFERED ME $100.00 REIMBURSEMENT IF I PURCHASED & INSTALLED MY OWN BATTERY. I ASKED WHY NISSAN WAS NOT REPLACING THE BATTERY AT THE DEALERSHIP, REP EXPLAINED THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO OBLIGATE DEALERSHIPS TO MAKE SUCH REQUEST, MY CASE WAS THEN ESCALATED TO THE REGIONAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS SPECIALIST WHO WAS DIFFICULT TO GET A HOLD OF. AFTER 2 WEEKS THE REGIONAL SPECIALIST WAS IN TOUCH WITH ME & WAS NO HELP. I EXPLAINED TO THE SPECIALIST THE ORIGINAL BATTERY WITH THE VEHICLE WAS DEFECTIVE AND WHY DID I CONTINUE TO HAVE THESE ISSUES WITH MY VEHICLE. HE WAS NOT ABLE TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY. I TOLD THE SPECIALIST I WAS GOING TO BE PURCHASING MY OWN BATTERY & FAXING MY INFORMATION SO I COULD BE REIMBURSED AS PROMISED FROM PREVIOUS REP. THE SPECIALIST INFORMED ME THAT OFFER WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE DUE TO MY CASE BEING ESCALATED TO HIM. AT THIS POINT MY PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. NISSAN HAS YET TO ADDRESS MY CONCERNS & EXPLAIN WHY I KEEP HAVING THESE PROBLEMS. ITS VERY TROUBLESOME THAT I AM EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS WITH A NEW VEHICLE WHICH WAS PURCHASED TO TRANSPORT MY SELF & NEWBORN, WORRYING MY CAR CAN LEAVE US STRANDED AT ANY TIME, DUE TO NISSAN NEGLIGENCE. *TR
THE HORN IS NOT ABLE TO BE HEARD IN TRAFFIC. I WAS ON THE FREEWAY DRIVING BEHIND MY SISTER. NEEDING TO GET HER ATTENTION AS I NOTICED SHE HAD A FLAT ON HER CAR, I WAS HONKING THE HORN ON MY CUBE. SHE DID NOT HEAR THE HORN AT ALL. IF A PERSON IN A CAR CAN NOT HEAR THE HORN I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT A SEMI TRUCK OR SUCH TYPE VEHICLE WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR MY HORN EITHER AND A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WOULD NOT BE AVOIDABLE SINCE THE HORN WOULD NOT BE HEARD. ALSO THE HANDLING OF MY CAR IN ANY WINDY CONDITION IS NOT SAFE. IF YOU ARE DRIVING FASTER THAN 30 MPH AND IT IS WINDY OR A BIG GUST OF WIND SWEEPS BY I BETTER BE HOLDING ON TO THE STEERING WHEEL TIGHT WITH BOTH HANDS. I HAVE BEEN ON THE FREEWAY GOING 55 MPH, THE WIND HAS NOT BEEN THAT BAD BUT THE CAR HAS BEEN MOVING ALL OVER THE PLACE AND I HAVE TO HOLD ON TO THE WHEEL WITH BOTH HANDS AND FEEL THAT I REALLY DON'T HAVE CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE. I HAVE A TEENAGER THAT HAS JUST STARTED DRIVING AND DO NO WAY FEEL SAFE LETTING HER TAKE THIS VEHICLE OUT. I DO NOT EVEN FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE ANYMORE. *TR
