BEEN TRYING TO GET MY REPAIRS ON MY CAR SINCE JUNE OF 2020 AND WAS JUST RECENTLY TOLD THAT I COULD NOT GET MY CAR REPAIRED DUE TO SUZUKI CLOSING DOWN I CAN NOT GET MY TAGS BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE THE RECALLS HAS TO BE FIXED
THE AIRBAG DEFECT WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON WHILE DRIVING OR THE CAR BEING ON. SUZUKI DEPOT IN SANT ANA CA REPLACED THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION DUE TO A MANUFACTURER RECALL. THE AIRBAG LIGHT FOR THE RIGHT FRONT SEAT SOON ACTIVATED. I TOOK THE CAR TO A LOCAL SHOP. I WAS ADVISED THAT THE CODE C1312 WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT RECALL CODE BY SUZUKI CORP. THEY DIDN'T TOUGH THE SEAT. I CALLED SUZUKI DEPOT WHO CALLED SUZUKI TO DETERMINE THE NEXT STEP. SUZUKI HAS NOT FIXED THE AIRBAG LIGHT OR WHAT'S CAUSING IT TO REMAIN LIT. THIS IS AN IMMEDIATE PASSENGER SAFETY ISSUE AND IN MY OPINION SHOULD BE RESOLVED AND FIXED RIGHT AWAY.
I WAS DRIVING AND STOP ON A RED LIGHT I HEARD A LOUD NOISE FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE SO PUT MY CAR ON PARKING THE LIGHT CHANGE SO I SHIFT TO DRIVE AND THE VEHICLE STAY (NEUTRAL) NO MATTER WHAT GEAR IT IS THE CAR STAY NEUTRAL . SO I STAY ON THE CAR BECAUSE THE WAS LOT OF TRAFFIC THANKS GOD A COP STOP TO HELP ME TO PUSH THE VEHICLE . I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A SHOP NO ONE KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE.
2011 SUZUKI KIZASHI SPORT SLS. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO SAFETY AND EMISSIONS RECALL. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO HELP LOCATE A LOCAL DEALER TO COMPLETE THE RECALL. *JS
UNDIAGNOSEABLE OVERHEATING. WHEN RUNNING THE AIR CONDITIONER FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME (I.E. ROAD TRIP, LESS THAN 90 MINUTES) THE AIR CONDITIONING STOPS WORKING AND THE COOLANT BLOWS OUT OF THE OVERFLOW TANK. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. WE'VE REPLACED THE RADIATOR TWICE, 3 DIFFERENT THERMOSTATS AND I'VE HAD THE HEAD MACHINED AND CHECKED FOR LEAKS, THE HEAD GASKET AND ALL ASSOCIATED GASKETS WITH THAT JOB REPLACED AND STILL CANNOT DRIVE WITHOUT COOLANT SPEWING FROM THE OVERFLOW AND EVENTUALLY CAUSING A RISE IN TEMP ON THE DASH GAUGE. DATE OF OCCURANCE BELOW IS AN ESTIMATE, I'VE BEEN FIGHTING THIS CAR FOR SO LONG I HAVE NO IDEA THE FIRST TIME THE ISSUE AROSE.
SIX MONTHS AGO, I HAD TO REPLACE MY DRIVERS SIDE LOWBEAM HEADLIGHT BULB. IT APPEARS TO BE OUT AGAIN. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN UNUSUALLY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME TO HAVE A HEADLIGHT GO OUT.
I GOT MY KIZASHI IN 2012 AND HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY TWICE. I TOOK IT TO A SHOP TO HAVE LOOKED AT AND THEY CAN'T FIND ANY REASON IT KEEPS BEING DRAINED THE WAY IT HAS BEEN. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS.
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET IN MY CAR AND WAS IN AN ACCIDENT. HE WAS T-BONED ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. HE WAS IN THE INTERSECTION GOING AROUND 30 MPH, I AM NOT SURE HOW FAST THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS GOING. THIS ACCIDENT HAPPENED AUGUST 12, 2016 AT 9:30 PM.
I BOUGHT MY SUZUKI DURING SEPTEMBER 2015. FOUR MONTHS AFTER MY PURCHASE THE HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY TURNED OFF. THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS WORK AS WELL AS MY HIGH BEAMS. IN ORDER FOR ME TO DRIVE AT NIGHT, THE HIGH BEAMS ARE ON. MY HIGH BEAMS ARE ALSO NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO BE CONSIDERED HIGH BEAMS. THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS ALSO TURNED OFF (THE SAME TIME). I AND A COUPLE OTHERS HAVE READ THE MANUAL AND HAVE CHECKED AND RECHECKED FUSES. I EVEN REPLACED THE FUSES JUST IN CASE. O'REILLY, ADVANCE AUTO, AND AUTO ZONE HAVE ALL STATED THAT THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO SELL ME MORE HEADLIGHTS, BUT IT WOULD NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM BECAUSE IT SOUNDED MORE LIKE AND ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND UNTIL THAT IS ADDRESSED I WOULD MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS MORE THAN ONCE WITHIN 6 MONTHS. I HAVE CHECKED FORUMS AND HAVE READ THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED TO SEVERAL SUZUKI KIZASHI OWNERS AND WITHOUT RESOLUTIONS THAT PERMANENTLY FIX THIS COMMON PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 SUZUKI KIZASHI. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN ATTEMPTED TO START, THE VEHICLE WOULD FAIL TO START. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE GEAR SHIFTER IN PARK, THE VEHICLE WOULD ROLL BACKWARDS. THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 79,468.
THE CHIEF COMPLAINT IS THIS CAR IS GOING THRU HIGH AND LOW BEAM BULBS LIKE NO TOMORROW, WE BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW FROM A AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY ARE THE ONES INSTALLING THE BULBS NOT ME, WE DID NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH THE BULBS UP UNTIL 2 YEARS AGO PLUS AND IT'S LIKE THE FLOODGATES HAVE LET LOOSE, RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT THE CAR HAS BLOWN 2 LOW BEAMS IN THE LAST WEEK AND WE'RE SICK OF IT. IT WOULDN'T BE SO BAD IF I COULD CHANGE THEM MYSELF BUT YOU HAVE TO LOOSEN THE BUMPERS ON A LIFT TO CHANGE THE [XXX] BULBS, HOW CRAZY IS THAT!!!!!! I JUST WISH THE DEALERS WOULD GROW A PAIR AND GO AFTER SUZUKI TO MAKE THEM SOLVE THE PROBLEM OR PAY FOR THE CHANGES EACH TIME (WE) THE CAR OWNERS HAD TO GO IN THE GARAGE. THE AIR BAG ISSUES ARE BAD BUT WHAT ABOUT THE SAFETY ON VISIBILITY ON NIGHTTIME DRIVING WHEN BULBS BLOW OUT . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 SUZUKI KIZASHI. WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000. UPDATED 09/18/15*LJ
REPLACED DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT JAN OF 2014, AUG OF 2014, DEC OF 2014 AND JULY OF 2015. IT IS ALWAYS THE DRIVER SIDE THAT GOES OUT EVERY 6 OR 7 MONTHS. BECAUSE THE BULB BURNS OUT SO OFTEN, ITS BECOMING A HAZARD TO DRIVING AT NIGHT TIME. I HAVE MADE SURE TO ALWAYS HAVE AN EXTRA BULB WHEN 6 MONTHS IS APPROACHING JUST IN CASE. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING WE SHOULD HAVE TO REPLACE EVERY 6 MONTHS ON A NEWER CAR
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE ABOUT A YEAR AGO. DECEMBER OF 2014 ONE OF MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS BURNT OUT. FOLLOWED BY THE SECOND BURNING OUT A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER. NOW I WENT TO A TRADE SCHOOL FOR AUTO MECHANICS AND KNOW HOW TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULBS AS I HAVE DONE IT PLENTY OF TIMES ON OTHER VEHICLES. AFTER REPLACING BOTH BULBS WITH OEM REPLACEMENTS THEY WORKED FINE, NO ISSUES, JUST IT WAS A PAIN IN THIS VEHICLE TO CHANGE. AFTER ABOUT 2 MONTHS ONE WENT OUT AGAIN. THEY WERE REPLACED AGAIN WITH HIGHER QUALITY/RATED BULBS. AGAIN AFTER ABOUT 2 MONTHS SAME ISSUE. I HAVE GONE ON SUZUKI FORUMS AND DONE MY RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND HAVE SEEN MANY CONSUMERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WONDERING WHY THIS IS NOT A RECALL SINCE ITS A SEVER SAFETY ISSUE WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT TIME. MAKING IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE PEDESTRIANS, ANIMALS ECT. PLEASE HELP RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. *TR
WHILE AT IDLE THE SERVICE ENGINE LITE CAME ON. THE FOLLOWING CODE WAS PULLED VIA DIAGNOSTIC TOOL.CODE #456. GAS EVAPORATOR LEAK. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD THE REQUIRED RECALL PERFORMED. OBVIOUSLY NOT THE FIX FOR THE RECALL PROBLEM. *TR
MY KIZASHI WENT INTO DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL NOTICE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V464000 , THE EVAP CANISTER AIR VENT LINE WAS CLOGGED, SO THEY REPLACED. AS PER RECALL NOTICE THE GAS TANK WAS ALSO SUPPOSED TO BE REPLACED, AND DEALERSHIP DECIDED IT WAS NOT NECESSARY !!!! *TR
I BOUGHT MY 2011 SUZUKI KAZASHI PRE-OWNED WITH A LITTLE OVER 22,000 MILES ON IT IN FEBRUARY OF 2013. A LITTLE LESS THAN 2 MONTHS LATER, MY DRIVER'S SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WAS OUT. I REPLACED BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS MYSELF AS I ALWAYS REPLACE THE PAIR IF ONE GOES OUT. IT WENT OUT AGAIN IN MARCH 2014. THIS TIME, I HAD MY MECHANIC REPLACE IT BECAUSE REPLACING THE BULBS WERE A PAIN, AND I HAD TO GET AN OIL CHANGE AND HAVE MY TIRES BALANCED AND ROTATED AND MY WHEELS ALIGNED ANYWAY. ON MAY 19TH, ON A RAINY, FOGGY MORNING, I NOTICED THAT THE HEADLIGHT WAS OUT AGAIN... LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AND LESS THAN 5,000 MILES LATER. I HAVE NOT REPORTED THE INCIDENT BECAUSE SUZUKI DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA PRETTY MUCH ALL CLOSED THEIR DOORS THE MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR. I'M SURPRISED THAT THERE ISN'T A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE AS IT DEALS WITH SAFETY (SEEING AT NIGHT). *TR
MY HEADLIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT EITHER ONE OR SOMETIMES BOTH. EITHER LOW BEAM OR DAY LIGHTS. ALL DEALERSHIP DOES IS REPLACE THE BULB BUT NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN A HANDFUL OF TIMES SINCE 2012. THIS IS FRUSTRATING AND I HATE THIS CAR. IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE BUT THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. *TR
PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF SIGN ON IN THE DASH BOARD EVEN WITH A 130LB ADULT SITTING IN THE FRONT SEAT. CAR REQUIRED A SHUTDOWN AND A RESTART FOR THE WARNING TO GO OFF. *TR
VEHICLE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT ON 5 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. SOMETIMES AT THE SAME TIME & OTHERS JUST A FEW DAYS APART. HEADLAMPS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FIXED AT DEALER SITE. THEY HAVE RUN CHECKS ON ELECTRICAL SYSTEM & HAVE FOUND NOTHING. THEY HAVE OPENED TICKET WITH SUZUKI & THEY APPEAR TO BE IGNORING THE PROBLEM. FILED COMPLAINT WITH SUZUKI DISPUTE SETTLEMENT PROGRAM & BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD WHEN COMPLAINT WAS FILED THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT. I HAVE SENT A LETTER TO SUZUKI ASKING THEM TO EITHER FIX PROBLEM CORRECTLY OR PURCHASE VEHICLE BACK FROM ME. HAVE NOT HEARD A WORK FROM THEM REGARDING THIS. WILL BE SPEAKING WITH ATTORNEY REGARDING THIS. THERE IS NO WARNING WHEN HEADLIGHTS GO OUT, SO THEY ARE CHECKED ON A DAILY BASIS. VEHICLE IS DRIVEN ALOT & IN VARIOUS WEATHER & LIGHTING CONDITIONS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY DEALERSHIP THAT THEY HAVE TWO OTHER 2011 KIZASHI'S THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
VEHICLE'S LOW BEAM LIGHT BULBS KEEP BURNING OUT EVERY 2-3 MONTH.. SOMETIMES BOTH AT A TIME, MAKING DRIVING DANGEROUS. LIGHT BULBS WERE CHANGED BY DEALER AND MYSELF ALREADY 6 TIMES. USED OEM AS WELL AS OTHER BRANDS - MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. ALWAYS USED RUBBER GLOVES DURING REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE AND NEVER TOUCHED THE GLASS PORTION OF THE BULB. THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL FAULT WITH THE VEHICLE AND SUZUKI DOES NOT WANT TO ADMIT OR FIX. THIS WAS BROUGHT TO SUZUKI'S DEALER ATTENTION SEVERAL TIMES DURING BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY PERIOD. DEALER SAYS THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING, BUT HEADLIGHTS KEEP BURNING OUT EVERY 2-3 MONTHS. NOW THE VEHICLE HAS 45,000 MILES AND SUZUKI SAYS THEY WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. *TR
2011 SUZUKI KIZASHI. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO PROBLEMS WITH TIRES AND ALIGNMENT. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED AS HE WAS PREPARING FOR A TRIP, HE DECIDED TO CHECK THE TIRES AND DISCOVERED THE FRONT TIRES WERE BALD AND THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF ALIGNMENT. ALSO, THE BACK-UP CAMERA AND GPS HAD TO BE REPLACED.
