The contact stated on July 16, 2021 while her husband was driving 60 mph, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that the check engine and battery warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the engine to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending repairs. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,900.

IM ALWAYS TOLD A LOT OF WHITE STEAM OR SMOKE COMING OUT OF EXHAUST IS NORMAL. HAVE HAD MY CAR AT BMW SERVICE MORE THAN IVE BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE IT. REPLACED CAR BATTERY MYSELF BECAUSE CAR KEPT SAYING LOW POWER MODE AND BMW SERVICE CHARGED ME $800 SAYING IT WAS NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.. IT WASNT THE ISSUE. CAR WENT INTO LIMP MODE A WEEK LATER. JUST RESEARCHED ISSUES IM HAVING ONLINE AND SAW IT IS THE POWER STEERING NOZZLE, WHICH ACTUALLY HAD A RECALL BACK THE YEAR MY CAR WAS MADE FOR POWER STEERING FLUID LEAKING ONTO THE ENGINE AND CAUSING FIRES! SCARY STUFF CONSIDERING I HAD SMOKE COMING OUT OF ENGINE GRILL LAST WEEK.. I WAS RECENTLY ON A HIGHWAY DRIVING AND MY CAR SUDDENLY CAME TO A HALT, SHAKING AND VIBRATING WHILES OTHER CARS WERE BEHIND ME. I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE IN ACCIDENT WITH A TRAILER TRUCK WHO QUICKLY MANEUVERED FROM BEHIND ME. I DROVE THE CAR TO A BMW DEALERSHIP AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE FUEL INJECTORS CREATED THAT PROBLEM. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 90K MILES ON IT AND BMW IS REFUSING TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT THIS IS SAFETY ISSUE WHICH COULD HAVE ENDED MY LIFE. I AM REQUESTING AT THIS POINT FOR BWM TO OPEN A CAMPAIGN FOR THESE FUEL INJECTORS OR THE GOVERNMENT ISSUE A RECALL ON THEM. I NEED ALL OF MY BMW X6 FUEL INJECTORS REPLACED BY BMW . A SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD ME , IT IS BEST TO GET ALL THE INJECTORS REPLACED BECAUSE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE N63 ENGINE AND THEY HAVE BEEN FIGHTING HARD FOR BMW NA TO ISSUE A RECALL ON THEM BECAUSE IT IS COSTING THEM TONS OF MONEY IN CIVIL SUITS. AGAIN I NEED THIS FUEL INJECTORS REPLACED ON MY CAR AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE I HAVE NO MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION TO SCHOOL , WORK OR CLINICAL ROTATION AND THIS IS SEVERELY AFFECTING MY GRADES. THE KEY DESIGN WAS VERY POOR, BECAUSE AT ANY TIME, THE DOORS COULD OPEN BY THEMSELVES. AS HE DROVE OUT OF THE PARKING GARAGE UNAWARE THE HATCHBACK WAS OPEN, HE DROVE OVER A SPEED BUMP WHICH RAISED THE HATCHBACK ENOUGH TO IMPACT AN OVERHEAD CONCRETE COLUMN WHICH CAUSED OVER $1800 IN DAMAGE. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP AT PRINCETON NEW JERSEY BMW, THE VEHICLE HAS TO REACH 5 MPH BEFORE THERE IS A WARNING. THIS IS TOO LATE. I WAS PARKED IN A PARKING GARAGE WHEN MY BMW X6 KEY ACCIDENTALLY OPENED THE HATCHBACK. THE KEY DESIGN IS VERY POOR AS ALL BUTTONS ARE FLUSH WITH THE HAND. IT WILL OPEN DOORS OR WINDOWS UNEXPECTEDLY DEPENDING ON HOW IT GOES IN MY POCKET. AS I DROVE OFF OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT UNAWARE OF THE HATCHBACK OPEN, I DROVE OVER A SPEED BUMP WHICH RAISED THE VEHICLE AND HATCH BACK HIGH ENOUGH TO IMPACT AN OVERHEAD CONCRETE COLUMN CAUSING OVER $1800 IN DAMAGE. THIS LACK OF WARNING SYSTEM IS UNACCEPTABLE AND BMW REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE AND REPAIR THE DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE. THIS SAFETY HAZARD ALSO APPLIES TO ANY OF THE DOORS. IF ONE OF THE DOORS SWINGS OPEN WHILE ACCELERATING THE POTENTIAL TO HIT A PEDESTRIAN WOULD BE UNAVOIDABLE. I TRIED TO RETURN THE VEHICLE BACK TO BMW AS I WOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED THE VEHICLE WITHOUT SAFETY SYSTEMS HOWEVER THEY STATED THE VEHICLE HAS NOTHING WRONG WITH WHICH ESSENTIALLY THEY SAID IF FAILED TO WARN ME AS IT'S DESIGNED TO. *TR
