The key is a problem. Personally mine has broken 4 times. The fob & base of the key is too big for the key itself. I know other Chevrolet models have had key recalls for the same reason, so I am not sure why they have not recalled the Chevy Spark keys because they are the same format as other models. It would be convenient if they separated the fob and the key. Currently my key is super glued because the dealership has this key on back order. I just replaced this key two years ago and it just keeps breaking.

FOR THE SECOND TIME IN A COUPLE MONTHS, WHILE TURNING LEFT ACROSS TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD AND CUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE SUBJECT ONLINE AND IT APPEARS A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE AND NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW A SOLUTION. AFTER THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT FIND AN ISSUE.

MILEAGE VERY LOW AT 33,000 MILES. WARNING LIGHT DOES NOT INDICATE WHEN COOLANT IS LOW UNTIL COOLANT RESERVOIR/TANK IS COMPLETELY EMPTY OF FLUID. PROBLEM STARED WHEN VEHICLE HAD 25,000 OR LESS MILES. ALSO VEHICLE HAS NO AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS.

LATELY I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WHERE THE HOOD LATCH STAYS IN THE OPEN POSITION. ACCORDING TO A VIN CHECK THIS SUPPOSED TO BE REPLACED AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS ACCORDING TO THE GM DATABASE, BUT I DON'T THINK IT EVER WAS REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE ME TO FIX SOMETHING THAT GM NEVER REPAIRED IN THE RECALL.
AFTER START UP THE ENGINE LIGHT IS FLASHING AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS ON. THIS IS FOLLOWED BY A CLUNK. AFTER A MIN OR SO HAS PASSED THE LIGHTS GO AWAY. IF YOU GO IN REVERSE AFTER THIS HAS OCCURRED, SWITCHING THE GEARS, THERE WILL BE A CLUNK. AS YOU CHANGE THE GEARS TO DRIVE THE CAR WILL NO GO MORE THAN A CERTAIN MILE PER HOUR. AROUND 20.

BROUGHT IT BACK IN, THEY CALLED AN ENGINEER IN SINCE THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOING ON AND A WEEK LATER I GOT MY CAR BACK. 4 DAYS LATER I AGAIN HAD TO BRING IT IN FOR THE SAME STUFF AND AFTER 9 DAYS OF PLAYING PHONE TAG THEN GAVE IT BACK. I HAVE HAD MY CAR BACK FOR 2 WEEKS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS, TODAY WHILE 35 MILES AWAY FROM HOME EVERY SINGLE LIGHT WAS FLASHING ON THE DASH BOARD. MY ODOMETER DIDNT WORK AT ALL AND I COULD ONLY GO 30 MILES PER HOUR. I STOPPED MY CAR, SHUT IT OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND NOTHING CHANGED. THE NEWEST ORDEAL IS MY BREAK LIGHT WILL TURN ON AND BEEP AT ME ANYWHERE FROM 3 SECONDS TO 5 MINUTES. LEFT DOOR REPAIRS WERE"HANDLE SEPARATED"AND "REPLACED OUTSIDE HANDLE" WHICH WARRANTY COVERED. RIGHT DOOR WAS DECLINED COVERAGE BECAUSE IT WAS "THE CLIP FOR INSIDE CABLE TO HANDLE HAD SEPARATED". COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE DIFFERENCE WAS? CLIP VS HANDLE?? SERVICE CONSULTANT WAS PUZZLED AS WELL? NEEDLESS TO SAY DOOR STILL ONLY OPENS FROM OUTSIDE. HAVING MANUAL LOCKS FIGURED I WOULDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS IN FUTURE. NEVER FIGURED A "MANUAL CHILD PROTECTOR" WOULD CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS. DUE TO LACK OF FUNDS DOOR STILL IS UNREPAIRED. I KNOW THAT IN SOME INCIDENTS IT ONLY TAKES ONE SPLIT SECOND BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH. GOD FORBID SOMEONE LOOSES THERE LIFE BECAUSE OF A SPLIT SECOND TOO LATE. MAYBE YOU COULD EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE AND IF OTHERS ARE HAVING ANY PROBLEMS AS WELL.

MY SPARK HAS 32K MILES ON IT. THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT COMES ON AND CODE 95 (SERVICE AIRBAGS) SHOWS ON THE DISPLAY WHENEVER SOMEONE IS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT, WHETHER THE CAR IS MOVING OR STATIONARY. A QUICK GOOGLE SEARCH SHOWS THERE ARE MANY CARS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM AND GM REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR. I WISH NHTSA WOULD LOOK INTO THIS AND MANDATE A REPAIR AT GM'S EXPENSE.

NOW IT IS 8/14/2017 WITH ONLY 27,273 MILES AND THE FRONT WIPER BLADES STOPPED WORKING. I CHECKED ALL THE FUSES AND EVEN REPLACED THEM STILL DOES NOT WORK. THE MOTOR FOR THE WIPER BLADES SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 27,000 MILES. TRIED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY 89.99 JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM IT IS MOST LIKELY THE MOTOR FOR THE FRONT WIPER BLADES. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS TO BE FIXED. IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND SHOULD NOT HAVE STOPPED WORKING THIS EARLY. I CAN'T EVEN ORDER THIS PART FROM THE PARTS STORES I HAVE TO GO TO THE DEALER. STARTED WITH 214 MILES TO DRIVE ON FULL TANK OF GAS, INDICATOR SHOWS 104 MILES LEFT OFF 70 MILE TRIP THEN DROPPED TO 96 WHILE SITTING IDLE FOR A LESS THAN A MINUTE IN PARKING LOT! MOTHER TELLS ME TURN OFF ENGINE. SAID CHECK TO SEE IF FUEL IS DRIPPING UNDER CAR. IT IS NOT.

MY DAUGHTER IS DRIVING HER 2013 CHEVY SPARK ON A STATE HIGHWAY, SHE'S STARTING TO BRAKE APPROACHING A RED LIGHT. THE AIR BAGS -STEERING WHEEL AND KNEE DEPLOY. THIS CAUSES HER TO REAR END THE CAR IN FRONT OF HER, BRUISING HER LEGS AND THIGHS. THERE WAS TROUBLE BREATHING DUE TO THE CLOUD OF SMOKE FROM THE AIRBAGS.

THIS VEHICLE WAS RECALLED FOR A SECONDARY HOOD LATCH WHICH WAS REPAIRED IN EARLY FALL, SEPTEMBER/ OCTOBER 2016. THE PART WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE SAME PART FAILED A SECOND TIME, FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY 2017. I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE REPAIRS. I WAS TOLD AT THE DEALERSHIP IT WAS THE SAME PART THAT FAILED. AFTER THREE DAYS AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY CALLED TO LET ME KNOW THAT THE PLASTIC AT THE END OF THE CABLE WAS ALSO BROKEN. WHEN I ASKED HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN THEY HAD NO ANSWERS. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TALKED TO A MECHANIC AND HAD HIM SHOW ME EXACTLY WHAT WAS BROKEN. THIS CAR HAD NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OF ANY KIND, ALSO THE PART THAT HE SHOWED ME WAS NOT BROKEN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF. I WAS TOLD THAT A MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP HAD BROKE IT, BUT THIS PARTICULAR MECHANIC WAS AFRAID OF LOSING HIS JOB. THIS DEALER WANTS ME TO PAY $100 FOR THE REPAIR. IT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR FOUR WEEKS WITH NO ETA ON THE PART. IF THERE IS NOT A REPLACEMENT PART IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY HOW COULD THIS POSSIBLY BE A WHERE AND TEAR ITEM? THIS IS A SERIOUS DEFECT THE HOOD LATCH COULD LET GO AND THE HOOD COULD FLY UP AT ANY TIME WHILE DRIVING. THANKFULLY I WAS NOT ON A HIGHWAY WHEN THE HOOD LATCH LET GO. WHEN I SHOWED UP AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD ORDER THE PARTS AND INSTRUCTED ME TO COME BACK WHEN THE PART CAME IN. I WAS HORRIFIED THAT THEY WANTED ME TO DRIVE AWAY WITH THIS CAR AND REQUESTED A LOANER VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP DID GIVE ME A LOANER CAR. I TOOK MY CHEVY SPARK TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAFETY RECALL TO THE RADIO. DEALER COMPLETED RECALL AND THE NEXT DAY MY RADIO HAVING ISSUES. THE BUTTONS ON THE RADIO WERE NOT RESPONDING TO TOUCH. THE DEALER STATED THEY DIDN'T SEE ANY ISSUES. APPROX 1 MONTH LATER, I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT IT WAS A HARDWARE ISSUE. THE MANAGER AT DEALER STATED THAT THEY DONT HAVE ANY TESTS TO DETERMINE WHAT HARDWARE ISSUE THE RADIO WAS HAVING BUT STATED IT WASNT RELATED TO SAFETY RECALL. THE MANAGER ALSO ADVISED THAT GM WOULD NOT PAY FOR A NEW RADIO AND THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE TO REPLACE IT. I USED A 3RD PARTY EXTENDED WARRANTY TO PAY FOR REPAIRS AND FILED COMPLAINT WITH GM RISK MANAGEMENT. THE MANAGER FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM SPOKE WITH LOCAL DEALER AND STATED THAT THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS A HARDWARE ISSUE AND NOT RELATED TO RECALL. BOTH GM AND LOCAL DEALER UNABLE TO PROVIDE ME WITH ANY DOCUMENTS SUPPORTING THEIR CONCLUSION. GM ALSO STATED THAT RECALL WAS NOT A SAFTEY RECALL AND THAT RECALL WAS DONE FOR SIMPLE SOFTWARE ISSUES. DEALER ALSO ADVISED THAT THEY USED A FOREIGN OBJECT (USB) TO COMPLETE SOFTWARE UPDATE. NO ISSUES WITH RADIO BEFORE RECALL WORK. GM WONT REIMBURSE ME FOR $100 DEDUCTIBLE THAT WAS PAID DIRECTLY BY ME. I TAKE IT IN AND THE DEALERSHIP SAYS I COULD HAVE HIT ROAD DEBRIS AND WOULD NOT COVER ANY WORK ON THE AC, I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. ABOUT A WEEK LATER I GET A LETTER IN THE MAIL ABOUT THE AC RECALL AND FIND OUT MY COMPRESSOR EXPLODED ON THE INSIDE DUE TO FAULTY PARTS. 20,000 MILES IN AND THE CAR WAS EATING A QUART OF OIL EVERY 2-3 DAYS AND STILL DRAINING IT AND RAN ROUGH. GIVES THE CODE OF P0324 (KNOCK CONTROL SYSTEM ERROR). DEALERSHIP SAYS IT COULD BE DUE TO BEING DRIVEN ROUGH AND IT IS MY FAULT. I SHOULDN'T BE DRIVING 80 IN A CHEVY SPARK (THE HIGHWAY SPEEDS IN TEXAS). THE ENGINE HAS A LOUD LIFTER TICK IN THE HEADS. DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO OPEN THEM WITHOUT A FAULT CODE THAT INDICATES A HEAD ISSUE. 47,000 MILES IN I HAVE MORE MISFIRES AND ERROR CODES. TAKING IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE WHAT THEIR EXCUSE IS THIS TIME.

PRIOR TO THE PURCHASE WE REVIEWED THE VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT AND MENTIONED ONLY A HOOD LATCH REPAIR AND DID NOT MENTION 09-04-14 A RECALL REPAIR ON THE PCV VALVE #4 SPARK, REPLACEMENT AND REPROGRAMMING. AS WE STARTED OFF ON OUR TRIP THE DASH WAS READING 39 MPG, THAT WAS GREAT! FURTHER INTO THE TRIP BEFORE GETTING ON THE HIGHWAY THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON. WE CHECK THE TIRES THEY WERE FINE. THINKING IT MAY HAVE BEEN THE COLD WEATHER PER THE MANUAL. WE CONTINUED ON TO OUR TRIP. ON THE WAY BACK HOME THE MPG WAS AT 34 AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR WENT IN TO LOW GEAR ON THE HIGHWAY! IT WAS LATER DISCOVERED AT THE CAR DEALER (NOT THE ONE WE PURCHASED FROM) THE REPAIRS THAT WERE DONE ON THE VEHICLE AND NOT DISCLOSED TO US WHEN PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. THE DEFECT WAS BURNING EXCESSIVE OIL. THE RECALL REPAIR ON THE PCV HAD OTHER MANUFACTURE DEFECTS. IT'S BEEN 10 DAYS AND THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. WE FELT OKAY ABOUT THE HIGH MILES WITH THE VEHICLE BEING CPO AND HAVING GMS 12 MONTH / 12,000 MILE WARRANTY AND 5 YR / 100,000 POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. THIS TIME THE ACCELERATION CONTINUED EVEN AFTER MY FOOT WAS TAKEN OFF THE BRAKE. I SHOVED THE CAR INTO PARK TO GET IT TO STOP. I HAVE HAD TO WAIT SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE I CAN GET IT STARTED AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN IN SITUATIONS WHERE I AM IN AN AREAS WITHOUT PHONE OR CELL RECEPTION TO CALL FOR HELP. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER REPAIR SHOP 4 TIMES AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THEY SAY UNTIL THEY CAN REPLICATE THE PROBLEM - THEY CANNOT FIX IT. AFTER PUTTING THE CAR IN REVERSE, THE CAR SUDDENLY JERKED AND DID THE SAME AS I PUT IT INTO DRIVE. AS I WAS DRIVING THE CAR WAS UP TO 3000 RPMS AND WOULD NOT GO OVER 30 MPH. THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS. I PULLED OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. WHEN I RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, NO LIGHTS LIT UP AND IT PERFORMED FINE THE REST OF THE WAY HOME. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT, THEY ONLY FOUND A CODE FOR MISFIRING COILS. THEY ALSO STATED THAT THEY BELIEVE THIS IS NOT THE ISSUE I AM HAVING BUT DUE TO CHEVROLET WARRANTY, THEY COULD NOT LOOK INTO IT WITHOUT A CERTAIN CODE TO POP UP IN THE SYSTEM. *TR

THIS ISSUE WOULD OCCUR THE FIRST FEW SHIFTS AFTER THE VEHICLE HAD SAT FOR AWHILE. THIS CONDITION WORSENED AS TIME PROGRESSED AND IT HAD TO GO IN FOR WARRANTY SERVICE AROUND 19,000 MILES. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT TOOK 26 DAYS TO GET THE NECESSARY PARTS, AS A NUMBER OF GEARS/PARTS HAD TO BE REPLACED. *TR
CAR WAS SHIFTING FROM 3RD TO 4TH GEAR ON A MANUAL MODEL. WITH NO WARNING THE GEAR SHIFT IN CAR NO LONGER WOULD ENGAGE THE GEARS LEAVING THE CAR WITH NO GEAR CONTROL. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TROUBLESHOT ONCE WHEN WE HAD OUR FIRST OIL CHANGE IN JUNE. THEY SOLD US A NEW CABIN FILTER THEY SAID MAY BE BLOCKED BY DIRT AND SUGGESTED THAT THERE WAS ALSO A SERVICE DUE AT 15,000 MILES THAT MIGHT ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM. WE PURCHASED THE SERVICE SUGGESTED, BUT IT DID NOT HELP. WE STOPPED INTO THE SERVICE DEPT AGAIN AND THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY TOLD US THAT THE ENGINEERS AT GM ARE STILL WORKING ON A REPAIR FOR THIS ISSUE. IT IS NOW SEPTEMBER AND NO RESOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND. THE DEALERSHIP HAS NO NEW INFORMATION.
THE A/C DOSE NOT WORK WHILE THE CAR IS AT IDLE. WHEN DRIVING THE CAR THE A/C WILL BEGIN TO COOL. WHEN STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, STOP SIGN, THE A/C WILL STOP COOLING AND BLOWS WARM AIR OUT OF THE VENTS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TROUBLESHOOT 2 TIMES AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. TOLD ME THAT THE ENGINEERS AT GM ARE WORKING ON A REPAIR FOR THIS ISSUE. IT IS NOW THE MIDDLE OF AUGUST AND NO RESOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND. THE DEALERSHIP IS NO HELP AND HAS NO NEW INFORMATION AND GM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NO HELP EITHER. MY CAR IS 2013 SPARK. WHEN PULLING OUT FROM SIDE STREET, PARKING LOT, DRIVE WAY, ECT. AT NORMAL SPEED. IF THERE IS ANY KIND OF BUMP, OR ROUGH ROAD THE CAR WILL LOOSE POWER FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WILL COME ON. I HAVE ALMOST GOT RUN OVER 4 TIMES NOW. HAD IN SERVICE DEPT. IN JUNE OF 2013, MY A/C STOPPED WORKING ON MY 2013 CHEVROLET SPARK. THE CAR WAS TAKEN IN FOR WARRANTY SERVICE THREE TIMES. THE EXPANSION VALVE AND COMPRESSOR WERE REPLACED AND THE A/C WAS PARTLY RESTORED. THE A/C WILL NOT WORK WHILE THE CAR IS AT IDLE. WHEN DRIVING THE CAR, THE A/C WILL BEGIN TO COOL THE INTERIOR AND SEEMS TO BE FINE. WHEN STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, STOP SIGN, OR IN MY DRIVE WAY, THE A/C WILL STOP COOLING AND BLOWS WARM AIR OUT OF THE VENTS. A FOURTH WARRANTY SERVICE CALL WAS OPENED FOR THIS PROBLEM IN EARLY JULY. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TROUBLESHOOT THE A/C ISSUE AND DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP HAS GIVEN ME A CASE NUMBER FROM GENERAL MOTORS LLC AND TOLD ME THAT THE ENGINEERS AT GM ARE WORKING ON A REPAIR FOR THIS ISSUE (PIC5858A: INSUFFICIENT A/C PERFORMANCE AT IDLE - JUN 13, 2013). IT IS NOW AUGUST OF 2013 AND NO RESOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND. THE DEALERSHIP HAS NO NEW INFORMATION AND GM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NO HELP EITHER. MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED ON 08/2012. IT IS THE LS MODEL WITH A 5-SPEED TRANSMISSION. *TR

HAVE TAKEN VEHICLE BACK TO DEALERSHIP 5 TIMES IN THE PAST 40 DAYS AND PROBLEM IS STILL APPARENT. CHEVROLET ENGINEERING HAS BEEN INVOLVED FOR PAST 10 DAYS AND THEY ARE ALSO UNABLE TO REPAIR PROBLEM. THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING COLUMN ARE NOT ILLUMINATED. AT NIGHT THIS PRESENTS A PROBLEM AS THE CONTROLS CAN NOT BE SEEN AND IF PRESSED INADVERTENTLY CAN CREATE AND UNSAFE SITUATION AS IT IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DETERMINE WHAT HAS HAPPENED. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE KEPT ACCELERATING AND SLOWING DOWN. BY WATCHING THE TACHOMETER, I COULD SEE THE RPMS GO UP AND DOWN CONTINUOUSLY, AND FEEL THE VEHICLE SURGING FORWARD AND SLOWING AGAIN. THE VEHICLE ALSO DID THIS WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 60 MPH. WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET AND COASTING, YOU CAN FEEL THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING UP AND DOWN, AND THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY ACCELERATE ON IT'S OWN, MAKING THIS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION SINCE IF YOU ARE NOT ALERT, YOU MAY BE DRIVEN INTO THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU. *TR
I EXPERIENCED TWO INSTANCES OF SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION IN MID APRIL 2013. IN THE FIRST INSTANCE, APPROX. 04/10/2013, MY SPARK STRUCK A STEEL POLE USED TO SUSPEND A BIRD FEEDER NEXT TO MY DRIVEWAY, WHEN SHIFTING TO REVERSE, AND KNOCKED IT DOWN, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE REAR BUMPER. IN THE SECOND INSTANCE, ON 04/16/2013, MY SPARK SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND STRUCK AND SEVERELY DAMAGED THE CHAIN LINK FENCE BORDERING MY DRIVEWAY, WHEN SHIFTING TO DRIVE, AND STRUCK AND DAMAGED MY GARAGE DOOR WHEN SHIFTING TO REVERSE. THIS CAUSED APPROXIMATELY $3000.00 DAMAGE TO MY CAR. NOW I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR!

GM IS AWARE OF THE SITUATION AND HAS REPAIRED IT IN MODELS BUILT AFTER OCTOBER 25 2012, BUT WILL NOT FIX IT IN THE MODELS BUILT BEFORE THEN. WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN NOVEMBER OF 2012, I WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE CHANGE BEFORE THE PURCHASE, LEADING ME TO BELIEVE THAT GM AND ITS DEALERS INTENTIONALLY MISLEAD ME INTO BUYING A CAR THAT THEY HAD ALREADY DEEMED AS HAVING AN UNSAFE FEATURE OR THEY WOULD NOT HAVE CHANGED IT. *TR

THIS PRESENTS A SEVERE DRIVING HAZARD, AS THERE ARE NO ALTERNATIVE CONTROLS FOR THE CRUISE. IN ORDER TO USE THE CONTROLS, YOU MUST TAKE YOUR EYES OFF OF THE ROAD AND BLINDLY FUMBLE, TRYING TO DETERMINE WHICH OF THE TEN MOUNTED CONTROLS YOU NEED TO USE, THUS AVERTING YOUR ATTENTION FROM YOUR SURROUNDINGS, MOMENTARILY. THE VEHICLE'S HEADLIGHTS ARE AT A BRIGHT ENOUGH LEVEL FOR ONE TO ASSUME THAT ALL LIGHTS ARE ON. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013 Buick Encore vehicles manufactured April 10, 2013, to May 8, 2013, and Chevrolet Spark vehicles manufactured December 30, 2012, to March 1, 2013. In the affected vehicles, an improper weld on the passenger side front air bag inflator may result in the air bag not deploying.
