THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V887000 (AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS) IN AUGUST OF 2019, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
AIRBAG 'OFF INDICATOR STAYS ON CONSTANTLY. HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM LEXUS SAYING IT IS A SEAT BELT TENSION SENSOR AND TO BE PATIENT WHILE THEY PREPARE A REMEDY FOR THIS CONDITION. THE LIGHT CAME ON ONE DAY AND HAS REMAINED ON SINCE.

SENSOR IN PASSENGER SEAT BELT BUCKLE. SEAT BELT INDICATOR LIGHT IS BLINKING ALL TIME EVEN WITH SEAT BELT CONNECTED-SAYS THAT AIR BAG OFF - FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT INTERNAL SHORT. AFRAID AIR BAG WILL NOT GO OFF IF VEHICLE IS EVER IN ACCIDENT.
WHEN A PASSENGER IS BELTED AND SEATED IN THE FRONT SEAT, THE AIRBAG SENSOR GOES OFF. HAD TAKEN IN THE CAR 6 TIMES TO THE DEALER. HAD IT PHYSICALLY FIXED TWICE. STILL MALFUNCTIONING.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN A FREEWAY WITH NO CARS AROUND ME. I HEAR A LOUD BANG ON MY ROOF, AND THEN HEAR CRACKING. TURNS OUT THAT MY SUNROOF WAS BROKEN, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING AROUND ME TO CAUSE THIS. WHEN TRYING TO GET HOME, THE WINDOW SUBSEQUENTLY SHATTERED. I TOOK THIS INTO THE DEAL AND THEY FIXED IT PROMPTLY. MY ISSUE IS THAT THIS APPARENTLY IS A KNOWN DEFECT WITH NEW SUNROOFS, AND YET THIS PRODUCT HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. I PAID OUT OF POCKET TO FIX MY SUNROOF, AND FEEL LIKE I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THIS. IN FACT, I HAVE HEARD THAT LEXUS IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, AND YET SAID NOTHING TO ME ABOUT IT AND DIDN'T OFFER TO FIX IT FREE OF CHARGE.
