1) Transmission or power train 2) The vehicle may be inspected at request 3) The vehicle starts and may go for about a mile, and then it will buck and act like it's in neutral for all gears. I got stuck in the middle of an intersection turning left. I managed to get it back home, and then needed help pushing it into the driveway, where it sits. 4) I have seen several similar complaints for the years; 2012, and 2014 through 2021. 5) The vehicle has been worked on, and the valve body for the transmission was replaced about a month ago. 6) The warning message that popped up just before the issue was "Transmission service is required." It appeared on 9/27/2021, the day I was giving a ride to someone across town. I had recently replaced the valve body, because the solenoids were failing, and the transmission itself was serviced.
My catalytic converter just went in my vehicle. I was told by dealership that the warranty expired by months. I contacted Mitsubishi and a case was opened. I was called by them today and they wont make an exception even though my mieage is well under the 80000 miles (under by over 28,000 miles) When I asked to talk to a manager I was told no and no exception would be made. I just want them to pay for the defective part.
My vehicle has had over 10 recalls but Mitsubishi has refused to properly fix any of the problems. I will attach a photo of the control arms and certain parts and recalls THEY cleared, and sent me on my way with. Now there is full suspension damage. Tire damage. And an entire list of other recalls that were never fixed by Mitsubishi. Also Airbag light, incorrect gas level. Windshield fluid leaking, and more. My front tire is about to fly off. There are problems with the struts. And no mechanic wants to touch it due to a strut recall and can’t even buy struts anywhere for my car. They have been taken off the market completely. I have a 8 year old child in this car. And both of our lives at risk. I have brought it to several mechanics and they are in shock at the damage and how we have survived. I have had to pay with my own money for certain repairs because Mitsubishi said “everything looks fine” and sent me on my way. And now refuse to open a claim and pay it back. Or fix all the damage it has caused since the first control arm problem. I can get receipts and invoices together. But honestly the entire car is A huge liability and needs an IMMEDIATE SOLUTION!
A PARKING BRAKE RECALL HAS NOT FIXED THE CORROSION/LOCKING OF REAR PARKING BREAK CALIPERS. ROLLS WHILE IN GEAR AND TURNED OFF-IF ON INCLINE. PARKING BRAKE DOESN'T ENGAGE FULLY AND THEN STICKS BUT WILL NOT KEEP CAR FROM MOVING. STICKS WHILE FROZEN OR IN WARM WEATHER.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN AN ACTIVE STABILITY CONTROL SERVICE WARNING DISPLAYED ON THE DASHBOARD. IT WAS COUPLED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND IMMEDIATELY CAUSED MY CAR TO SEIZE UP MAKING ME MOMENTARILY LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. AS I REGAINED CONTROL THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO RESIST ANY ACCELERATION WHILE THE RPMS WOULD FREQUENTLY SPIKE. I ALSO LOST ANTI-LOCK BRAKE FUNCTIONALITY WITH NO DASHBOARD WARNING. THROUGH MY MECHANIC I LATER FOUND OUT THE CAR WAS FORCING ITSELF INTO "LIMP MODE" BECAUSE THE ENGINE AIR FLOW SENSOR WAS GIVING A FAULTY READING. ALL OF THIS PUT MY CAR INTO CONDITIONS FOR A CRASH HAD I NOT ACTED QUICKLY TO AVOID IT. IT ALSO CREATED A REPAIR BILL THAT WAS UNNECESSARY AS THIS IS APPARENTLY PART OF A KNOWN TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN TSB-13-13-008. I FIND IT INAPPROPRIATE AND IRRESPONSIBLE OF MITSUBISHI TO NOT HAVE ALERTED ME TO THE DEFECT IN THE AIR FLOW SENSOR AND FILTER BOX. IT CAUSED A NEEDLESS DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITION AND EXCESS REPAIRS.

TRANSMISSION IS OVER HEATING AFTER DRIVING A SHORT DISTANCE AND FAILS TO SHIFT GEARS. TAKEN TO A TWO SEPERATE INDEPENDENT MECHANICS AND WAS VERIFIED THE TRANSMISSION IS THE PROBLEM. I RESEARCHED RECALLS AND FOUND THE SAME ISSUES WITH 2015-2016 OUTLANDER TANSMISSIONS.
DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE ITS ABOUT 85 DEGREES OUT AND IM GOING 70 MPH. THE TRANSMISSION OVER HEAT LIGHT COME ON AND IT SAYS TO SLOW DOWN. I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE BECAUSE THE CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN ON ITS OWN. ABOUT 5 MILES A PULL OVER AT A EXIT. I LET IT SIT FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES. EVERYTHING CLEARED UP AND I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME WITH NO MORE PROBLEMS.
AIR BAG LIGHT ON NO CODES CAN BE READ.
IMMOBIZER SYSTEM I HAD BEEN OUT OVER TWO HRS IN MY CAR CAME HOME FOR MIN TURNED CARE OFF IT DINGED SAYING IMMOBIZER SYSTEM NEEDS SERVICE AND CAR WOULD NOT START BACK EVEN THIS MORNING
THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS RECALLED AND REPLACED IN NOVEMBER OF 2017, BUT NOW THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS RUSTED FROM THE INSIDE WHICH CAUSED BITS TO BREAK OFF AND FALL INTO THE NEW CATALYTIC CONVERTER. NOW THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD NEEDS TO BE REPLACED (THERE ARE ONLY 4 PARTS IN THE NATION FOR THIS??) AND THE NEW, LESS THAN A YEAR OLD, CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAS TO BE CLEANED OUT OF ALL THE RUSTY METAL BITS. THERE IS A RATTLING NOISE IN THE ENGINE WHEN IDLE (RPMS JUMP UP AND DOWN SLIGHTLY IN IDLE), QUIETS A BIT ONCE YOU HIT 2-3K RPMS AND THEN IS LOUD AGAIN AROUND 1-2K RPMS. THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD IS NEARLY A THOUSAND DOLLARS TO REPLACE! I DON'T LIVE NEAR THE OCEAN OR A PLACE WHERE IT SNOWS FREQUENTLY. MY 5 YEAR OLD CAR SHOULDN'T HAVE RUST IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE OTHER RECALL JUST LAST YEAR. SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR WEEKS SINCE THE PROBLEM STARTED. THEY TOLD ME IT'S OUT OF MY WARRANTY BECAUSE MY CAR IS AT 75K MILES.
AFTER A LONG DRIVE, EVEN MORE SO UPHILLS, THE TRANSMISSION STARTS SLIPPING AND THE CAR HESITATES TO GO AFTER A STOP. A WARNING MESSAGE THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS OVER HEATING APPEARS AND THE CAR RUNS AT HIGH RPMS AT ONLY 60 MPH. ERROR CODE P1778 HAS APPEARED TWICE. THE CAR ONLY HAS 71,000 MILES
KEEPING THIS SIMPLE, THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 60,000 MILES ON IT, AND I WAS SMELLING GAS. TOOK IT TO THE GARAGE, AND WAS TOLD THAT THE GAS TANK, NEAR THE TALK, RUSTED AS IT PROBABLY WAS NOT SEALED PROPERLY. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN, IT SEEMS IT IS RIGHT AROUND WHERE IT CONNECTS TOGETHER. THIS IS RIDICULOUS, AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. I NOTICED THAT IT WAS ON CARS, BUT NOT ON THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO, AS IT JEOPARDIZED THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND MY CHILD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPORT. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE "SERVICE AIR BAG REQUIRED" MESSAGE DISPLAYED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,000.
MY CAR WAS TOTALED A FEW DAYS AGO I WAS DRIVING HOME AND HIT A DEAR AT 55MPH AND MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY MY FRONT END WAS DESTROYED MY RADIATOR WAS DESTROYED ALONG WITH OTHER PARTS OF THE CAR AND THE CAR WAS CONSIDERED TOTALED. I WAS INFORMED MY AIR BAGS SHOULD OF DEPLOYED BUT THEY DID NOT
ON APRIL 12TH, THURSDAY NIGHT AROUND 8 PM, I WAS HEADING NEAR THE I-290/ I-90 INTERSECTION, RIDING ON I-90 WEST. I HEARD A SHARP CRACK IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR. I LOST POWER STEERING, CHECK BATTERY CHARGE LIGHT CAME ON AND WITHIN 2-3 MINUTES, ENGINE OVERHEATING LIGHT CAME ON. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO A STOP IN A SAFE AREA BETWEEN THE INTERSECTING HIGHWAYS. A HIGHWAY WORKER PROTECTED ME WITH HIS SAFETY TRUCK TILL AAA TOW TRUCK TOOK MY CAR TO THE LOCAL SCHAUMBURG MITSUBISHI DEALER ANY STEPS YOU TOOK TO ISOLATE THE PROBLEM, SUCH AS CHECKING FOR FLOOR MATS. BE SPECIFIC ABOUT WHAT YOU DID AND HOW YOU DID IT. THE DEALER/SERVICE PERSONNEL FOUND THAT THE BELT TENSIONER BEARING WAS PULLING OUT AND THE BELT WAS NOT RIDING ON THE PULLEY CORRECTLY. THE TENSIONER WAS REPLACED AND THE SERPENTINE BELT WAS REPLACED I BELIEVE THIS IS A DESIGN FAULT WITH THE BELT TENSIONER/ BEARING AND SHOULD BE FIXED FOR THESE CARS. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH WILL SHOW THIS IS A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM

CAR WOULD RANDOMLY SHUDDER AND RPMS FLUCTUATE WHILE IDLING. THEN WOULD JUST DIE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO GO FROM IDLE. EVENTUALLY ASC SERVICE REQUIRED WARNING CAME ON WITH SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT. TRANSMISSION TUNNLER WAS REPLACED. CAR RAN FINE FOR A FEW WEEKS AND PROBLEM HAS STARTED AGAIN. PULLING INTO GAS STATION, CAR STARTED TO SHUDDER. RPMS FLUCTUATED AND ASC SERVICE REQUIRED CAME ON AGAIN.
WITHOUT WARNING THE RPM WILL DROP TO ZERO. AT FIRST IT WOULD START RIGHT BACK UP WITHOUT HAVING TO RESTART IT. NOW WITHOUT WARNING IT WILL JUST DIE AND RPM GOES TO ZERO AND I HAVE TO RESTART IT. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON BUT NO DIAGNOSTIC CODES ARE STORED AS TO WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE STOPPED AS WELL AS DRIVING DON THE ROAD AT 50 MPH.

ALTHOUGH AT THE TIME OF IMPACT I WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING BETWEEN 45-55 MPH, AND THE IMPACT AREA OF MY VEHICLE WAS ALL FRONT END, NOT ONE SINGLE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. WE PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE FROM LITTLE JOE'S MITSUBISHI AT 1601 S MILITARY HWY, CHESAPEAKE, VA 23320 ON MAY 20, 2016 AS A PRE OWNED VEHICLE. TWO WEEKS AFTER TAKING POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE ONE DAY WHEN IT WAS RAINING, THE WIPERS WOULD STOP WITH THE WIPER BLADES STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN AND STAY THERE TILL L HIT THE WIPER HANDLE ON THE STEERING WHEEL ON THE RIGHT SIDE, L CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND SPOKE TO CHRIS BLAIR TJE SALES REPRESENTATIVE AND ADVISED HIM OF THIS THE SAME DAY IT HAPPENED, HE TOL ME HE WOULD TRANSFER ME TO SERVICE, SPOKE TO A MANAGER NAME WAS NICOLE IN SERVICE AND TOLD HER THE PROBLEM, SHE TOLD ME TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN, TOLD HER L WOULD WHEN L RETURNED BACK TO THE STATE AS L WAS OUT OF STATE AS THIS WIPER SITUATION HAPPENED TO ME ON THE WAY TO THE AIRPORT IN MY AREA. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR FRIDAY JUNE 17,2016 AND THEY HAD A MECHANIC CHECK IT AND THIS IS WHAT THEY SAID WAS POSSIBLE WRONG, SEE ATTACHED. THEY TOLD ME L WOULD HAVE TO PAY HALF OF $632 WHICH WAS $316 AND L TOLD THEM THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THIS AS IT WAS A SAFETY ISSUE, AND GOD FORBID IF THEY STOPPED WORKING WHILE L WAS DRIVING WHEN IT WAS RAINING OR SNOWING OR ANY WET CONDITION L COULD BE POTENTIALLY INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AS L WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SEE WHERE L AM GOING, THE SERVICE MANAGER NICOLE WHO WAS RUDE SAID IT WAS WORKING WHEN WE HAD THE VEHICLE, L TOLD HER L DID NOT BREAK IT. I TOLD HER THIS IS A SAFETY RELATED DRIVING ISSUE, SHE DID NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT. I ASKED FOR THE COPY OF THE SITUATION IN RELATION TO THE WIPER ISSUE AND TOLD HER L WOULD FILE A COMPLAINT. I AM ASKING THEY REPLACE THIS SAFETY RELATED DRIVING ISSUE AT THERE EXPENSE 100%, SINCE MAY 20, 2016 TILL JUNE 17, 2016 L HAVE ONLY PUT 1623 MILES ON THE VEHICLE SINCE L TOOK OWNERSHIP. THE FINANCE MANAGER ON MAY 20,2016 WHEN ASKED IF THE FLUIDS HAD BEEN CHANGED STATED YES, SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAYS ONLY OIL WAS.
TAILGATE IS RUSTING NEAR THE LIFT GATE HANDLE AND ALSO BOTH SIDES OF THE UPPER PART NEAR THE GLASS WHERE THE TAILGATE MEETS THE SPOILER. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH MITSUBISHI THEY WILL NOT HONOR ANY RUST ISSUES UNLESS I AM ABLE TO POKE A HOLE THROUGH THE AFFECTED AREAS. MEANWHILE THE CAR IS CLEARLY RUSTING AND THE PLASTIC HANDLE WHICH IS AROUND THE RUSTED AREA ON THE TAILGATE IS COMING LOOSE DUE TO THE RUST. THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ONLINE OF OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE EXACT SAME RUST ISSUE.
OVER NIGHT, MY BATTERY DIED. WHEN I TRIED TO TURN THE CAR ON, THE WINDSHIELD WHISPERS WOULD GO CRAZY, RADIO WOULD TURN ON, BUT NOT THE CAR. PURCHASED A NEW BATTERY, CAR IS ONLY 3 YRS OLD. THE NEW BATTERY IS BEING DRAINED NOW. WHEN THE CAR IS OFF, THE RADIO TURNS ON AND OFF BY ITSELF, THE FOG LIGHTS STROBE, AND THERE IS A BEEPING NOISE. THE DEALERSHIP TEASED EVERYTHING AND FOUND THAT IT IS THE ECU (ELECTRICAL CONTROL UNIT) WHICH IS ON RECALL FOR MY MAKE, YEAR, AND MODEL, BUT NOT FOR MY CAR BASED OFF THE VIN. IT IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING WRONG IN OTHER VEHICLES EXACTLY MY YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL, BUT NOT ACCORDING TO MY VIN #.
UNLESS WE ARE WITHIN 12 INCHES OF THE CAR THE PANIC BUTTON DOES NOT WORK, THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM, HOWEVER MOST OF THE TIME IT DOES NOT WORK. WE HAVE MADE THIS COMPLAINT ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND HAD ARBITRATION AND MITSUBISHI WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE PROBLEM. I WAS IN A PUBLIC PARKING GARAGE AND I THOUGHT I WAS BEING FOLLOWED AND THE PANIC BUTTON DID NOT WORK (FORTUNATELY I WAS NOT BEING FOLLOWED).
WHEN I STARTED THE CAR IN PARK, AND ESPECIALLY WHEN I PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL, THERE WAS A NOISE IN THE ENGINE THAT KEEP UP WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN IN PARK WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING. THE SOUND WAS LIKE WHEN A CAR HAS LOW OIL IN THE STEERING WHEEL BUT I ASKED A NEIGHBOR AND HE SAYS THESE CARS DON'T USE OIL FOR THE STEERING WHEEL THAT THE NOISE WAS MOST LIKELY THE ALTERNATOR. AND IT HAS BEING GETTING LOUDER. I AM AFRAID THAT THE CAR MAY BREAK DOWN. ALSO IN THE FIRST MONTH OF BUYING THE CAR I NOTICED THE FRONT TRAIN SEEMED LOOSE BUT I WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG. IS THERE ANY RECALL FOR THIS? . ALSO I LOOKED UP THE RECALLS FOR MY MODEL AND YEAR OF CAR AND OF ALL THE ONES THAT SHOW UP I HAVE RECEIVED ONLY ONE RECALL AND IT WAS FOR A TORCH IN THE SEAT BELT FOR FRONT PASSENGER SIDE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY OF THE OTHERS. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN PASSED UP IN THESE RECALLS SINCE 2013 TO THIS DATE JAN 2015 AND THAT IT BE TOO LATE TO REQUEST THE REPAIRS. *TR
BETWEEN APRIL AND MAY 2014 THIS 2013 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER HAS BEEN HAVING DIFFICULTY IN STARTING, AT ONE POINT IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. SOME BELTS (I DON'T KNOW WHICH) SQUEAK EVERY SO OFTEN. ON 03 JULY 2014 THE DEALER WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED AND HAS SINCE BEEN RECEIVING IT'S SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE, INDICATED THAT THE ALTERNATOR HAS TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THEY HAD NONE IN STOCK. I WAS TOLD TO CALL BACK IN A WEEK. I HAVE CALLED EVERY WEEK SINCE THEN AND I AM ALWAYS TOLD IT IS IN BACK ORDER, THAT THERE ARE MANY OF THE SAME VEHICLES WAITING FOR THIS PART. SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS IS INDICATIVE OF A PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN 55 DAYS SINCE THEY FINALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND CANNOT KEEP A ALTERNATOR FOR MY VEHICLE IN STOCK LONG ENOUGH TO REPLACE THE FAULTY ONE IN MY VEHICLE. *TR
MY AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, THE SEAT BELT DID NOT ENGAGE. THEREFORE I STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL TWICE, AND WHIPPED MY NECK. *TR

3RD ROW SEAT BROKE THE FABRIC HAS GIVEN AWAY THERE IS NO SUPPORT OR ANY TYPE OF CUSHION FOR YOUR BUTT. ALL THERE IS , IS THE METAL FRAME STRUCTURE AND WHEN YOU FOLD THE SEAT BACK TO STORE IT, IT WONT STAY DOWN, DOESN'T LATCH SO WHEN YOUR DRIVING ANY BUMP YOU HIT OR ON THE FREEWAY THE SEAT RATTLES AND BOUNCES UP AND DOWN, I FEEL THIS IS A BIG SAFETY HAZARD, WE WILL NOT LET OUR KIDS SIT BACK THERE ANYMORE, ALSO IT HURTS THEM TO SIT ON THAT SEAT, WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 5-2-2013 AND THEY TOLD US MITSUBISHI CONSIDERS IT TO BE TRIM AND WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, AS FAR AS THE LATCH TO HOLD THE SEAT DOWN WHEN IT IS FOLDED THEY SAID THAT'S THE WAY IT IS, IT WAS NEVER LIKE THAT UNTIL THE DAY MY 15 YR OLD DAUGHTER SAT BACK THERE AND THE FABRIC TORE UNDERNEATH AND SHE SAID THE SEAT DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT, WHEN I LOOKED AT IT AND TRIED TO FOLD IT BACK DOWN THE SEAT FELT SLOPPY LIKE SOMETHING BROKE MECHANICAL WISE, IM UPSET CAUSE THAT'S WHY WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE IT HAS THREE ROWS OF SEATS, MITSUBISHI DEALERSHIP SAID ITS A TEMPORARY SEAT NOT TO BE USED ALL THE TIME. THERE IS NOTHING THAT STATS ITS A TEMPORARY SEAT OR A WEIGHT LIMIT ANYWHERE ON THE VEHICLE OR IN THE VEHICLES MANUAL.....PLEASE HELP *TR
I NOTICED OIL DRIPPING FROM UNDERNEATH THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID IT WAS TO FULL OF OIL, TOOK VEHICLE BACK HOME CONTINUED TO LEAK, TOOK VEHICLE BACK AGAIN TO DEALERSHIP FOR SAME LEAK THEY SAID IT WAS THE CVT FILTER SO THEY REPLACED IT. TOOK VEHICLE HOME PARKED IT IN GARAGE WHEN I WOKE UP NEXT DAY TO CHECK ON IT THERE WAS A PUDDLE OF OIL UNDER THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION, HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING THE SEAL BETWEEN THE MOTOR AND TRANS. IS BAD, THEN THEY SAID THAT WASN'T IT THAT THE TRANSMISSION'S MOLD IS DEFECTIVE AND THEY HAVE TO ORDER A NEW TRANSMISSION FROM MITSUBISHI IN JAPAN, I HAVEN'T HAD THE VEHICLE NOW FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS AND THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE ANOTHER 2 WEEKS. *TR
I HAD OWNED MY OUTLANDER FOR JUST OVER A WEEK AND WAS ATTEMPTING A NORMAL LEFT HAND TURN. MY LONG-SLEEVE, CUFFED SHIRT BECAME CAUGHT ON THE LOWER PORTION OF THE RIGHT PADDLE SHIFTER. AS I ATTEMPTED TO STRAIGHTEN THE CAR FROM THE TURN, THE WHEEL TURNED AND PULLED MY STUCK RIGHT ARM INTO AN OPENING ON THE STEERING WHEEL.CONSEQUENTLY, MY VEHICLE CONTINUED TURNING INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AS I BOTH TRIED TO STOP AND FREE MY ARM. LUCKILY, APPROACHING TRAFFIC SAW MY CAR IN ENOUGH TIME TO AVOID HITTING ME. I WAS NOT ABLE TO FREE MY HAND UNTIL I BROUGHT THE CAR TO A STOP AND REPOSITIONED THE STEERING WHEEL. THE PADDLE SHIFTERS ON THIS CAR ARE EACH OVER 4" LONG AND AWKWARDLY PLACED ON THE STEERING COLUMN. CLOTHING OR JEWELRY CAN EASILY BECOME ENTANGLED IN THE MECHANISM. I BELIEVE MY SAFETY AND THE POTENTIAL SAFETY OF OTHER OUTLANDER OWNERS IS IN QUESTION. I HAVE ASKED THE COMPANY TO REMOVE THEM FROM MY CAR TO WHICH MITSUBISHI CORPORATE REPLIED "WE ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY PROCEDURES OR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE PADDLE SHIFTERS." MY DEALERSHIPS HANDS ARE TIED WITH MITSUBISHI HEADQUARTERS POSITION. I FEEL THAT THE COMPANY IS MAKING LIGHT OF MY CONCERN AND HAS NO INTEREST IN ACKNOWLEDGING OR SOLVING THIS PROBLEM. *TR
ARRIVED HOME AFTER PURCHASE AROUND 8PM. NOTICED WATER CONDENSATION INSIDE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT. BROUGHT BACK TO DEALER TWICE. FIRST TIME BACK NO ANSWERS, SECOND TIME BACK THEY SAY "IT IS DUE TO THE CAR SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT FOR A WHILE, NO REPAIRED NEEDED" DUE TO THE COLD TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE AND THE HOT TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE HEADLAMP THE WATER CONDENSATION BEGINS TO CLOULD THE VIEW OF ACTUAL LIGHT THUS DECREASING VISIBILITY ON THE DRIVER SIDE DUE TO THE BLOCKED LIGHT. BASICALLY DRIVING WITH ONE HEADLIGHT~ MUST BE A FAULTY SEALED HEADLAMP ENCLOSURE THAT NEEDS TO BE RESEALED,RECALLED, OR JUST REPLACED. *TR
