I received a recall letter about problem with the Engine, They did to Tess at 1200 miles each but the car runs out of oil between 25 and 3000 mile every time but they did nothing about it
When driving on interstate, all at once, dashboard lit up with lights, one of the lights being the check engine light. Towed car to dealership and found there was a problem in the CVT valve body which was replaced. I think this should be a recall because it's dangerous to be driving down an interstate with dashboard lit up. Have no idea what would have happened to engine or other parts of car if I wasn't able to get off highway in time.
Oil is consumed excessively. I had an oil change done at around 120K miles and my oil light is popping on to let me know that I need another oil change. I have only driven it 2,000 miles since my last oil change and my oil level is low. Looking back at the Carfax, the previous owner had oil changed every 2,000-3,000 miles, but the owner's manual states that oil should be changed every 5,000 miles. It seems this is a safety hazard and possible EPA violation.
THE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY FAILED ON THIS SUBARU LEGACY AT 83874 MILES. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL AND THREE ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON. THIS WAS COVERED UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AS THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. I HAVE THREE COMPLAINTS / CONCERNS WHERE I BELIEVE THE CONSUMER IS NOW ON THE HOOK FOR THE MANUFACTURER'S PROBLEM. I AM TOLD THE NEW VALVE BODY IS IDENTICAL TO THE OLD AND WILL FAIL AGAIN. THE DEALER ALSO TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION FLUID MUST BE REPLACED EVERY 30000 MILES, NOT THE 100000 MILES IN THE OWNERS MANUAL. THIS IS AT A CURRENT COST OF $413.00; ALSO - I HAD TO PAY TODAY $413.00 TO REPLACE THE FLUID, WHICH IS NOT COVERED BY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, EVEN THOUGH DIRTY FLUID IS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THIS ISSUE AFFECTS MANY SUBARUS AND SHOULD BE ON A PERMANENT RECALL REPAIR LIST AT SUBARU'S EXPENSE FOR THE SERVICABLE LIFE OF THE CAR, OR A RECALL WHERE THE VALVE BODY IS REPLACED BY ONE THAT WILL NOT FAIL AGAIN. NO ONE SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM A $413.00 FLUID CHANGE EVERY 30000 MILES.
TORQUE CONVERTOR CLUTCH SOLENOID WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 75MPH. ENDED UP HAVING IT REPLACED AT 138,000 MILES ON 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. COST $1,700 AT SUBARU DEALERSHIP.
THERE WAS A HORRIBLE WHINING THAT STARTED VERY QUIET ON AND OFF IN 2017 AND BECAME LOUDER THIS YEAR. WE DROVE INTO A CITY INTERSECTION TO TURN, AND THE CAR STALLED. WE WERE LUCKY THAT WE DIDN'T GET HIT BY ANOTHER CAR. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AS WE DO ALL RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE AND SOMETHING WAS REALLY WRONG TO MAKE IT STALL LIKE THAT. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IT IS A CVT TRANSMISSION, AND THEY ARE KNOWN TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM. TOLD US TO CALL SUBARU. THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OFFERED IN 2018, BUT WE NEVER WERE NOTIFIED OF THAT AND ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNER. IF WE HAD THE NOTIFICATION WE WOULD HAVE HAD THIS FIXED AS IT OCCASIONALLY MADE THE NOISE BUT IT DID NOT REPEAT WHEN AT OUR SERVICE CENTER. WE WOULD HAVE HAD THE DEALER CHECK IT IF WE KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND WARRANTY. I EXPECTED A SUBARU TO LAST LONGER THAN THIS BEFORE NEEDING AN $9,000 REPAIR. CALLED SUBARU AND THEY OFFERED ME $1,000 TOWARD A NEW SUBARU. I PAID $36,000 FOR THIS CAR. I DON'T THINK $1,000 OFF ONE NOW IS GOING TO HELP ME VERY MUCH FOR A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS TRANSMISSION THAT PUT US IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
WHILE TRAVELING ON A BUSY INTERSTATE. MY CAR SUDDENLY JERKED AS IF I HAD PUT INTO NEUTRAL. I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH. NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT TRYING TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY. IT WOULD NOT ENGAGE IN MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC MODE. AFTER HAVING IT TOWED TO A MECHANICS SHOP, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED, WITHOUT WARNING. THIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT IF I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD.
CAR HAS EXTENDED CRANKING ISSUE - IT ACTS LIKE THE STARTER IS BAD OR THE BATTERY IS DYING. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND TOLD THEM THAT THE CAR HAS A HARD TIME STARTING. IT HAS DIED A COUPLE TIMES SO I REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH AN INTERSTATE BATTERY AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE BATTERY WAS BAD. I HAD THE BATTERY CHECKED AND IT IS DEFINITELY NOT BAD. ASKED THE DEALER TO CHECK THE STARTER AND THEY SAID IT IS FINE. IT SEEMS THAT THE CAR HAS SOME OTHER ISSUE WITH POWER BEING DRAWN FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BE SERVICED AT HEUBERGER SUBARU (1080 MOTOR CITY DR, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO 80905, 719-475-1920) FOR TRANSMISSION FAILURE. INITIALLY, THE DEALER WOULD NOT COVER THE COST OF THE REPAIR DUE TO THE WARRANTY EXPIRING; HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ULTIMATELY AGREED TO SERVICE THE VEHICLE UNDER WARRANTY. SINCE THEN, THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER FOR NEARLY TWO MONTHS. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE ECU UNIT AND GEAR SHIFTER WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE REPAIR WOULD COST $1,900. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V297000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,128.
I BOUGHT THIS 2013 SUBARU LEGACY LIMITED ON JUNE 12,2019 AND A WEEK LATER THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LIGHT AND CRUISE CONTROL DID NOT WORK AND THE LIGHTS WERE ON THE DASHBOARD. I BROUGHT THE CAR TO A SUBARU DEALER IN WILMINGTON, NC AND WAS TOLD THAT IT NEEDED THE CONTROL PANEL FOR THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WHICH EFFECTS THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS SAME PROBLEM IS A CURRENT RECALL IN SUBARU LEGACY MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND I FEEL THAT THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL WITH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AS WELL SINCE MY CAR IS AFFECTED BY THE SAME PROBLEM. THE CAR WAS JUST OUT OF WARRANTY AND JUST OVER 100,000 MILES . THE REPAIR IS OVER $1200 AND IT IS JUST NOT RIGHT THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED AND IT IS NOT A RECALL. PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM AS THE MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS ON THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. I CAN BE REACHED AT [XXX] . THANK YOU, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
DRIVER FRONT WINDOW REGULATOR GETS REALLY HOT. DOES NOT MOVE THE WINDOW UP OR DOWN. BEFORE THAT I HAD TO KEEP RE-SYNC THE WINDOW TO THE MASTER SWITCH FOR SOME REASON. IT WILL LOSE IT'S MEMORY RANDOMLY.
WE JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR AND 2 DAYS LATER THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON AND THE BRAKE ICON WAS BLINKING AND THE CRUISE CONTROL DIDNT WORK. A SUBARU DEALER TOLD ME THAT IT NEEDS THE PARKING BREAK ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL. I FIND THIS STRANGE AS THE CAR IS ONLY 6 YEARS OLD. PLEASE ADVISE ME WHAT YOU FIND OUT.
I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR PASSENGER AIR BAG AND THE COMPANY SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME. HOWEVER, I REMEMBER RECEIVING A RECALL FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG A YEAR OR SO AGO, AND WHEN I CALLED THE COMPANY I PURCHASED IT FROM, THEY TOLD ME THE RECALL WAS NOT MEANT FOR MY LEGACY, SO I THREW AWAY THE LETTER. NOW I AM WONDERING - WAS THERE A RECALL FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE AND CAN I STILL GET IT REPLACE BY THAT COMPANY?

TAKATA RECALL. WE GOT A RECALL NOTICE FROM SUBARU, RECALL TKB19, STATING THAT NO PASSENGERS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RIDE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL THE REPAIR IS PERFORMED. HOWEVER, THE ONLY SUBARU IN THE RALEIGH AREA SAID THE EARLIEST THE REPAIR COULD BE DONE WAS IN AUGUST; I CALLED LATE IN MARCH. MY WIFE RIDES IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, SO NOW WE CANNOT USE THE VEHICLE, WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, WHAT CAN BE DONE TO GET SUBARU TO EITHER PERFORM THE REPAIR SOON OR PROVIDE A LOANER MEANWHILE ? THANKS

I HAVE AN URGENT NEED TO ADDRESS A SAFETY RECALL FOR PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND WINDSHIELD WIPER REPLACEMENTS . THERE ARE NO SUBARU DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA THAT CAN TEND TO THIS REPAIR IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY ARE ALL BOOKED OUT UNTIL SEPTEMBER. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. EXTENDED CRANK ISSUE - I'VE HAD AN EXTENDED CRANK ISSUE WITH MY CAR FOR THE LAST 10 MONTHS. THE CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE SUBARU DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED 3 TIME. THE CAR SPENT 30 DAYS IN THE SHOP DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. THE CAR IS HAVING A VERY HARD TIME STARTING AFTER IT'S BEEN SITTING FOR A FEW HOURS. AND SOMETIMES NOT STARTING AT ALL, WHEN IT DOES EVENTUALLY START IT'S CRANKING FOR AN ADDITIONAL 10-30 SECONDS. ONE IT DOES START THE ENGINE KNOCKS AND RUNS ROUGH UNTIL IT WARM, THEN GOES AWAY. WHEN THE CAR WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE EXTENDED CRANK IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR THE YEAR I HAVE. I WAS TOLD THE COMPUTER SYSTEM IN THE CAR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IN ORDER TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I REPRESENTATIVE FROM SUBARU CAME OUT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO LOOK AT MY CAR AND 2 OTHERS SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL THAT WERE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THE REPRESENTATIVE DEEMED IT "NORMAL" HE SAID " NOTHING I CAN DO UNTIL A RECALL GETS APPROVED" AND "SUBARU NEEDS TO FIX BUGS IN THE SYSTEM". HE ALSO SAID THAT WHILE THE CAR HAS THE EXTENDED CRANK ISSUE IT IS PUTTING MORE WEAR AND TEAR ON THE ENGINE AND IT WOULD SOON NEED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS THEN SENT ON MY WAY BECAUSE, THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE CAR IS STILL HAVING ISSUES BECAUSE OF THE EXTENDED CRANK, NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED.
2013 SUBARU LEGACY PREMIUM RECALL OIL CONSUMPTION LIGHT COMES ON AFTER OIL CHANGES WHEN PARKED AND DRIVING
TAKATA RECALL : I WAS DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY JUST DOING ROUGHLY 55 TO 60 MPH AND THE CAR REVS UP AS IF I HAD PUT IT INTO NEUTRAL. I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T ENGAGE ANY GEAR. IT STARTED WHINING REALLY BAD TO WHERE PEOPLE ASKED CONCERNINGLY WHAT WAS MAKING IT SOUND THAT WAY TOWARDS THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR AND JUST EXCEEDED UNTIL THIS INCIDENCE. 6 MONTHS AGO I HAD THE TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSHED AND REPLACED FOR A HIGHLY FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS. THIS SHOULDN'T OF HAPPENED TRUTHFULLY AND OTHER FAMILY AND FRIENDS IT SEEMS ODDLY STRANGE. NOT TO MENTION I HAVE NEVER RELIEVED A LETTER ABOUT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY OF THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. NOW THE WARRANTY IS EXPIRED AS ITS ALL NEW NEWS TO ME. IF I'D KNOWN OF THE RECALL I WOULD'VE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT MAINTENANCED BECAUSE I DEFINITELY KNEW IT SEEMED TO BE MORE THAN NEEDING THE TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGED. TO BEAT IT ALL SHOULDN'T I HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION FROM THE DEALERSHIP WHEN I HAD THEM DO THE FLUID EXCHANGE AND BOUGHT BRAND NEW TIRES? I FEEL AS IF I HAVE BEEN "CHEATED" OUT OF A RECALL AND IT REALLY UPSETS ME AS I'M A SUBARU LOVER. CAN I PLEASE HAVE HELP? THIS IS UNFAIR...
#1 SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED I HAD TO ADD AT LEAST ONE QUART OF OIL TO THE ENGINE BETWEEN EACH RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE. I INFORMED THE DEALER WHO HAD ME RETURN APPROX 1300 MILES AFTER MY LAST OIL CHANGE, WHICH I DID. THE DEALER INDICATED TO ME THAT THE OIL LEVEL WAS FINE. BY 3,700 MILES THE OIL WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD TO ADD A QUART OF OIL. #2 SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED I HAD TO TURN THE ROTORS OR PURCHASE NEW ROTORS EVERY 6 MONTH. WHEN YOU TRY TO STOP THE BRAKING SYSTEM HAS EXTENSIVE SHAKING WHEN BRAKING. IT MAKES THE CAR HARD TO STOP WHEN THE SHAKING OCCURS. WHEN YOU TURN THE ROTORS THE SHAKING GOES AWAY BUT WILL RETURN IN ABOUT 4 TO 6 MONTHS.
MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THERE WAS A RECALL ON OLDER LEGACY'S LIKE 2010-2012 ABOUT THE BRAKE LINES. HE WENT ON TO CHECK MY BRAKE LINES (WITH MY CAR ON A LIFT) AND SAW THEY WERE COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT AND SWOLLEN. ALSO, FOR SOME REASON WHEN I'M DRIVING, MY CAR PULLS TO ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER, SPECIFICALLY ON THE HIGHWAY. I CANNOT DRIVE STRAIGHT OR LET GO OF THE STEERING WHEEL OR ELSE IT'LL PULL ME OFF THE ROAD. MY MECHANIC HAS ALREADY LOOKED EVERYTHING OVER AND SAID EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. SO I'M NOT SURE WHERE THE PROBLEM IS BUT IT'S WITH THE STEERING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, WHEN THE OIL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND ADDED A QUART OF OIL. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE OIL CONSUMPTION ON THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN AN ISSUE FOR APPROXIMATELY A YEAR, A QUART OF OIL HAD TO BE ADDED EVERY 3,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000. *TT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE, THE DRIVER NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT WAS WET. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, THE DRIVER FOUND A PUDDLE OF WATER UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SUBARU OF CHERRY HILL (1800 MARLTON PIKE W, CHERRY HILL, NJ 08002, (856) 330-1500) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOON-ROOF DRAIN NEEDED TO BE CLEANED OUT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MOON-ROOF DRAIN WAS CLEANED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL MORE TIMES OVER THE YEARS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO ANOTHER SUBARU DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.
THE VEHICLE SLAMMED INTO A SNOWBANK DUE TO ICY CONDITIONS. THE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS SIGNIFICANTLY DAMAGED, BUT THE AIRBAG DID NOT INFLATE UPON IMPACT
I AM ON MY THIRD ENGINE DUE TO THE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUES. I JUST HAD A THE THIRD ENGINE PUT IN AND THE LIGHT CAME ON AT 2300 MILES. I ALSO HAD TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND THE CLUTCH. I AM STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CLUTCH AS WELL. IT'S A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY 2.5L MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND SUBARU WON'T MAKE THINGS RIGHT. I SPENT 80% OF MY TIME THAT I OWNED IT PERFORMING OIL CONSUMPTION CHECKS.
CAR ACCIDENT THAT TOTALED CAR ON HIGHWAY WITH FRONT END COLLISION WITH GUARD RAIL AND AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. ACCIDENT DUE TO RAINY WEATHER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE OIL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT 30 OUNCES OF OIL WERE ADDED TO THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE CONSUMED 11 OUNCES OF OIL EVERY 1,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED, BUT WAS TESTED FOR AN OIL CONSUMPTION FAILURE AT THE RUGE DEALER. THE RESULTS HAVE NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
ON 03/18/2017, I WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT RAN THE RED LIGHT, AND MY VEHICLE FAILED TO DEPLOY THE AIR BAGS. AS A RESULT I HIT MY HEAD ON THE WIDOW AND SUSTAINED VARIOUS INJURIES.
THE CAR INTERMITTENTLY LOSES POWER WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOPPED POSITION. MOST OFTEN HAPPENS WHEN I AM TURNING LEFT. SUBARU SAYS THERE ARE NO COMPUTER CODES IN THE CHECK ENGINE HISTORY. CAUSE UNKNOWN BUT SPECULATION ADVANCED ABOUT NEURAL NETWORK LEARNING OF THE COMPUTER (SEEMS WORST AFTER RECENT ENGINE REBUILD UNTIL CAR WAS DRIVEN FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS WHERE FREQUENCY OF POWER LOSS DIMINISHED BUT NOT GO AWAY). ALSO PROPOSED: 87 OCTANE GAS-SHOULD USE 92, IF NOT 97 ONLY FROM OIL COMPANY STATIONS, NOT FRED MEYER OR COSTCO EVEN THOUGH CAR IS RATED TO ACCEPT 87 OCTANE GAS. OTHER HYPOTHESES: FULL GAS TANK VS 1/2 OR LESS , FUEL STARVATION CAUSES POWER DROP (NOTE: ENGINE DOESN'T FULLY DIE & CAN BE COAXED BACK TO LIFE BY PUMPING THE ACCELERATOR), ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM PERHAPS THE CULPRIT. THIS PROBLEM IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE OF THE RANDOM & SUDDEN (WITHOUT WARNING) LOSS OF POWER WHICH ANY DRIVER IMMEDIATELY BEHIND MY CAR WOULD NOT BE EXPECTING & THEREBY CAUSE A REAR-END COLLISION. ALSO, DANGEROUS WHEN ENTERING A LANE OF TRAFFIC & SUDDENLY THE POWER IS GONE JUST WHEN YOU NEED ACCELERATION IN ORDER TO MERGE AT TRAFFIC SPEED INTO YOUR LANE. SOMETIMES PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN GOING UP A LOW ANGLE INCLINE (EST. 10-15 DEGREES?) BUT NOT NECESSARILY. WHEN LEAVING A STOPPED POSITION, IF LEFT FOOT IS ON THE BRAKE & RIGHT IS SLIGHTLY ACCELERATING IN ORDER TO PULL AWAY MORE RAPIDLY FROM STOPPED POSITION, THE CONTROLLING COMPUTER WILL SOMETIMES PROVIDE ZERO POWER TO THE ACCELERATOR BUT THIS HAPPENS ONLY OCCASIONALLY & OFTEN WILL WORK JUST FINE TO GIVE THE EXTRA ACCELERATION NEEDED. SUBARU SAYS THIS CONFUSES THEIR COMPUTER & IT WILL SHUT DOWN BUT I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS HAPPENS ABOUT 1/3 OF THE TIME, IN MY EXPERIENCE. DANGER COMES FROM LOSING POWER DURING THE TIME YOU NEED IT THE MOST ESP. LEFT TURNS WHICH CROSS TRAFFIC LANES BEFORE YOU CAN MERGE AND DRIVING COMPLETELY NORMALLY. *TR
ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKES- MALFUNCTION CAUSING THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKES TO BECOME STUCK AND WILL NOT DISENGAGE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BE IMMOBILE.
ABOUT MID SEPTEMBER MY SON TOOK THE CAR IN DUE TO A NOISE HE HEARD, WAS ADVISED THAT IT WAS THE SERPENTINE BELT & NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HAD THE RECOMMENDED SERVICE DONE..HEARD NOISE AGAIN AND RETURNED CAR, WAS ADVISED "TECH CAN NOT DUPLICATE NOISE". TOOK CAR BACK 3RD TIME AND MADE TECH GET INTO CAR WITH HIM TO GO FOR RIDE..TECH NOW HEARS NOISE AND ADVISES MY SON TO LEAVE THE CAR, YOU'LL HAVE IT BACK IN AN HOUR. A COUPLE HOURS LATER HE GETS A CALL ADVISING THAT THEY COULDN'T DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND WOULD CONTACT A FIELD ENGINEER TO RESPOND TO THIS DEALERSHIP AND WOULD GIVE HIM A LOANER CAR. WHEN ASKED OVER THE PHONE WHETHER HE COULD DRIVE HIS CAR HE WAS ADVISED THE "CAR WAS UNSAFE". WE WERE ADVISED THAT THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED OVER THE PHONE WHEN WE WENT TO PICK UP THE LOANER CAR. WHEN ASKED IF WE ARE GETTING A REFUND FOR A REPLACEMENT BELT THAT WAS NOT BAD WE WERE ADVISED THAT "THERE WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE BELTS BUT THERE WAS NO RECALL". NOISE WOULD START AT 15MPH AND ABOVE.

OIL CONSUMPTION. I CONTINUE TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. CONSUMES A QUART OF FULL SYNTHETIC OIL EVERY 3000 MILES. I RECEIVED PAPERWORK ABOUT A CLAS ACTION LAWSUIT WHICH OUTLINES THE PROBLEM. IT'S RIDICULOUS; THEY EXPECT ME TO PRODUCE EVERY RECEIPT FOR THE OIL I'VE PURCHASED OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS IF I WANT TO BE REIMBURSED! DEALER STILL SAYS IT'S "NORMAL"; I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY CAR BURN A QUART OF OIL EVERY 3000 MILES REGARDLESS OF MAKE, AGE OR CONDITION. NATURALLY, EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS I'M ON THE ROAD ANY FROM HOME SO I HAVE TO ADD OIL TO ENSURE THAT I GET HOME OK. REALLY GETTING PERTURBED WITH THE LACK OF ACTION FROM THE DEALER. NOTICED YOU HAVE INFO ABOUT THE PROBLEM ON YOUR SITE BUT I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT A RECALL FROM MY DEALER.
UNUSUAL OIL CONSUMPTION. CURRENTLY THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ONGOING. I HAVE MY SERVICE REPORT PAPERS, A TSB REPORT (SURFACE TREATMENT CHANGE TO OIL CONTROL PISTON RINGS) AND MY CAR HAS BEEN CHECKED OUT BY WALNUT CREEK SUBARU DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY STATE THE PROBLEM IS NOT SEVERE ENOUGH TO DO ANYTHING AT THIS TIME.
VEHICLE BURNS A QUART OF SYNTHETIC OIL EVERY 2800'MILES. DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT'S NORMAL. I SAY THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE OIL CONSUMPTION.
SUBARU LEGACY DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG FAILURE. WAS PULLING FORWARD ON A GREEN LIGHT WHEN I WAS T-BONED ON DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND FRONT WING/WHEEL. MY SPEED APPROX 5 MPH,, STRAIGHT, OTHER CAR DRIVING ABOVE THE THRESHOLD FOR A FRONT AIRBAG TO DEPLOY IN A HYUNDAI SONATA 2013, WHICH I BELIEVE ABOVE 14 MPH INTO SOLID CONCRETE WALL OR 28 MPH PARKED CAR PER TESTS. HYUNDAI CAR WAS PERPENDICULAR TO LEGACY WHEN IT STRUCK. SIDE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY DESPITE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO DRIVER DOOR AND LEFT WING. LET FRONT WHEEL BENT UPWARDS INTO ENGINE AREA, WINDSCREEN CRACKED, COMPLETE DAMAGE TO LEFT FRONT END AND SIDE UP TO END OF DRIVER DOOR. REAR DOOR UNMARKED. UPDATE 9/15/15*CW *CN
ISSUE: SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. FIRST OCCURRENCE WHEN SLOWLY PULLING INTO DRIVEWAY. CAR SURGED FORWARD WITH HIGH ENGINE REVS. DEALER APPLIED SOFTWARE UPDATE, BUT PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN ONE MONTH LATER WHEN SLOWLY DRIVING UP TO A MAIL BOX AT THE POST OFFICE. THIS LATEST TIME, CAR WAS SLOWLY MOVING FORWARD - AND THEN 3 HIGH ENGINE REVS AND SURGED FORWARD BEFORE I TURNED OFF THE IGNITION. WHEN I RESTARTED THE CAR, THE SAME THING HAPPENED - WITH THE HIGH ENGINE REVS AND SURGING FORWARD. AFTER LETTING THE CAR SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES, I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR AND DRIVE THE CAR NORMALLY. IF THERE HAD BEEN ANOTHER CAR IN FRONT OF ME, I WOULD HAVE PLOWED INTO THAT CAR. THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE CONDITION. DEALER NOW HAS THE CAR AND IS ATTEMPTING TO RE-CREATE THE PROBLEM.
SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED I HAD TO ADD AT LEAST ONE QUART OF OIL TO THE ENGINE BETWEEN EACH RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE. THE SUBARU HAS APPROX 24,550 MILES. I HAVE NEVER OWNED A VEHICLE WHERE I HAD TO ADD OIL PRIOR TO SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT REAR ROOF OF THE VEHICLE COLLAPSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000.
THE VEHICLE HAS A CVT TRANSMISSION. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WHEN THE SPEED HAS STABILIZED ABOVE 40 MPH THE ENGINE RPM RUNS AT 1750 -1800. MILEAGE WAS IN THE AREA OF 37-40 MPG. I NOTICED MILEAGE DROPPING AND THE ENGINE RPM WAS SETTLING ABOUT 2000-2100. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I FOUND OUT THE THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET THE RPM TO DROP INTO THE NORMAL RANGE WAS TO TURN OFF THE HEATER FAN OR TURN THE TEMP TO THE COLDEST SETTING AND THE RPM WOULD DROP FROM THE 2000 RANGE TO NORMAL ABOUT 1750. THERE WAS NO OTHER WAY TO MAKE THE RPM DROP TO THIS RANGE. CONTACT SUBARU AND THEY ADVISED THIS WAS NORMAL. I ASKED THE CONTACT PERSON IF THIS WAS YOUR VEHICLE WOULD YOU CONSIDER THIS NORMAL. SHE SAID NO. SO I HAVE BEEN PURSING THIS THROUGH SUBARU WITH NO RESULTS. ITS DANGEROUS TO HAVE TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE WITH THE HEATER CONTROLS. I NEED HELP IN THIS MATTER. *JS
IN 2012 DECEMBER, I PURCHASED A SUBARU LEGACY,2013, FROM RYE FORD & SUBARU. THE CAR HAS BEEN BURNING OIL IN THE ENGINE. I HAVE BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE SUBARU LEGACY DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES IN AN EFFORT TO PREVENT THE CAR FROM BURNING OIL. AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY CHANGED THE BLOCK AND PISTON RINGS, AND AT THE LAST OIL CHANGE THEY REPORTED THAT EVERY 1000 MILES 3 OUNCES OF OIL BURNS. THEY ADVISED ME TO CARRY COUPLE OF QUARTS OF OIL IN THE CAR EACH TIME I DRIVE. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES TO PERSIST, EACH TIME I DRIVE MY CAR. I CALLED THE MAIN OFFICE IN NEW JERSEY AND DEMANDED A NEW CAR OR RE-FUND FOR THE CAR I PURCHASED. THE MAIN OFFICE STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A REFUND FOR MY CAR. WITHIN THE PAST TWO YEARS THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPAIRED MY CAR SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUES. I HAVE BEEN CARRYING THE ADDITIONAL QUARTS OF OIL WITH ME WHILE I DRIVE, BUT IT IS NOT THE EXPERIENCE I WAS LOOKING FOR WHEN I PURCHASED MY SUBARU VEHICLE. I EXPECT TO BE COMFORTABLE AND SECURE WHEN DRIVING MY CAR AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS CAR HAS BEEN ANYTHING BUT THAT. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I FEEL UNSAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE IT BURNS OIL. MY QUESTION HERE IS, WHAT GOOD IS IT TO CONTINUE TO REPAIR A CAR, WHEN THE CAR HAS SOME BASIC ENGINE TROUBLE, WHICH THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT DIAGNOSE? THE PROBLEM STILL REMAINS AND MY SAFETY IS AT RISK. I AM ALSO NOT COMFORTABLE OPENING THE HOOD, POURING THE OIL, AND WATCHING THE ODOMETER ALL THE TIME TO SEE THE MILEAGE ON THE CAR. THAT IS NOT THE PURPOSE OF BUYING A NEW CAR. THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT BE PUT IN A POSITION OF CONSTANTLY GOING BACK AND FORTH TO A CAR DEALERSHIP ESPECIALLY WHEN THE DEALERSHIP HAS ALREADY TRIED TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE AND FAILED TO DO SO. PLEASE UNDERSTAND MY SITUATION AND PLEASE ADVISE THE SUBARU COMPANY TO GIVE ME A NEW CAR WITH THEIR GOLD WARRANTY, OR REFUND THE PURCHASE PRICE. UPDATED 4/7/2016*JS
ON 01/17/14, THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR WAS TAKEN TO SUBARU DEALER. DEALER VERIFIED CONDITION AND PERFORMED RE-CALIBRATION OF THE AIR BAG SYSTEM. THIS CLEARED THE AIR BAG. ON 01/21/14, THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR HAD 10611 MILES. CAR WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AND TECH VERIFIED AND STATED THERE WAS A SHORT IN THE RIGHT SEAT FRAME. SEAT FRAME WAS ORDERED AND REPLACED. ISSUES SOLVED FOR A FEW DAYS. ON 01/24/14, THE AIR BAG CAME ON AGAIN AND VEHICLE HAD 10929 MILES. CAR WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AND TECH VERIFIED AND FOUND THERE WAS A SHORT IN THE DETECTION MODULE AND STATED CAR WAS UNSAFE. DEALER PROVIDED A LOANER WHILE THE CAR WAS IN SHOP WAITING FOR PARTS. ON 02/07/14, THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN WITH 12,052 MILES. DEALER FOUND RIGHT FRONT SEAT BUCKLE WAS NOT STAYING CORRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE WIRE HARNESS. ON 11/17/14. THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR WAS TAKEN TO DEALER. DEALER STATED THEY WILL CONTACT SUBARU TO FIND OUT EXACTLY WHY THIS KEEPS HAPPENING. CARS AIR BAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. *TR
THE ISSUE IS WITH THE OIL CONSUMPTION. I PURCHASE A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY LIMITED IN JANUARY 2014 WITH JUST OVER 12,100 MILES ON IT . I WOULD DO A FULL SYNTHETIC OIL CHANGE REGARDLESS BUT THIS MAKE/MODEL/YEAR REQUIRES FULL SYNTHETIC. THE 0W FULL SYNTHETIC IS WICKED EXPENSIVE TO BEGIN WITH. I HAVE BROUGHT THE CAR IN 3 TIMES IN THE 10 MONTHS I HAVE OWNED IT FOR AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST AND OF COURSE I AM TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH IT SUCKING UP OIL ON OTHER OCCASIONS, I JUST DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO BRING IT IN BECAUSE I TRAVEL FOR WORK SO I DUMPED A QUART IN MYSELF ON THOSE OCCASIONS. I EVEN LEAP FROGGED THE DEALERSHIP AND WENT STRAIGHT TO SUBARU OF AMERICA AND AGAIN WAS TOLD THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE NEW VEHICLES OIL CONSUMPTION AND THEY JUST EAT MORE OIL (BTW, I DID SAVE THAT EMAIL). I DISAGREE, I DRIVE ROUGHLY 3000-6000 MILES PER MONTH AND I HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE OIL LIGHT COMING ON AFTER 3000 MILES. MAYBE IF IT WERE RUNNING REGULAR OIL; BUT IT REQUIRES FULL SYNTHETIC. SO EITHER THE DEALERSHIP IS PUTTING REGULAR OIL IN A CAR THAT REQUIRES A SYNTHETIC OIL OR SUBARU IS HIDING SOMETHING. EITHER WAY I WILL GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT AND IF I FIND OUT THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING, THEN THEY CAN TALK TO MY ATTORNEY AND THE NEWS MEDIA. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2014 I DROVE 799 MILES FOR WORK AND WAS HALFWAY HOME OF A 4 HOUR COMMUTE AND THAT STUPID LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND BEGAN BLINKING EVERY TEN MILES OR SO. THE CAR IS GOING IN TOMORROW BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO BRING IT IN BEFOREHAND; AND IT'S BEEN ROUGHLY 3000 MILES SINCE THE LAST OIL CHANGE. *TR
LOW OIL WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS NORMAL. AT 10,500 MILES, SAME THING HAPPENED. LIKE CLOCKWORK, EVERY 3,000 MILES THE LIGHT GOES ON AND I'M DOWN AT LEAST A QUART OF OIL. THIS HAS HAPPENED EVERY 3,000 MILES SINCE THEN. I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR 50+ YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANY VEHICLE, FOREIGN OR DOMESTIC, USE A QUART OF OIL EVERY 3,000 MILES NO MATTER HOW OLD OR NEW THE CAR WAS. BEING TOLD THIS IS "NORMAL" IS RIDICULOUS. THERE MUST BE FLAW IN THE 2.5L BOXER ENGINE PRODUCED BY SUBARU. *TR
GETTING ON A HIGHWAY FROM ON RAMP. I ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE. THE ACCELERATOR WENT TO THE FLOOR, THE CAR WAS GRUMBLING AND THE PICK UP OF SPEED WAS EXCEPTIONALLY SLOW. RPMS WENT TO APPROXIMATELY 4600. I EASED BACK ON THE ACCELERATOR AND TRIED AGAIN WITH SAME SLOW PICK UP, TO FLOOR ACCELERATOR AND ROOMS TO 4000S. I WAS NOT IN DANGER HOWEVER I HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE (FILED A REPORT DECEMBER 2013) WHICH DID PUT ME IN DANGER. THE CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER AND ONE OTHER SUBARU DEALERSHIP MULTIPLY WITH THE DEALER REPORTING OVERFILLED TRANSMISSION FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND COMPLETE REPAIR BY SIPHONING OFF THE EXTRA. THEY REPORT "UNABLE TO DUPLICATE" AND ASSUME THEREFORE NO PROBLEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
AIRBAG FAULT WARNING LIGHT TURN ON WITH FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF LIGHT TURN ON AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT UNBUCKLE WARNING ALSO TURN ON WHILE DRIVING. THERE IS A PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT WITH SEAT BELT ON. TURN OFF THE CAR AND STARTED THE CAR AGAIN MULTIPLE TIME DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT STAY OFF WITH SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT ON EVEN WITH OR WITHOUT FRONT PASSENGER. *TR
MY VEHICLE SHOWED SIGNIFICANT LAG IN SPEEDING UP AFTER PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR AND REVVED VERY HIGH RPMS (34-4200). THIS ALSO OCCURRED WHEN I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR GOING DOWN A HILL...HIGH RPM (34-400) WITHOUT DECREASE IN SPEED. SUBARU OF MANCHESTER DETERMINED TRANSMISSION CAME FROM MANUFACTURER WITH OVERFILLED FLUID CAUSING HESITANCY AND LAG. REPAIRED AND RESET. ON 12/28/13, MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHILE TRAVELLING AT 60MPH ON A HIGHWAY SO I COULD AVOID BEING HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE WHO WAS DRIFTING TOWARDS MY RIGHT SIDE AS IT ATTEMPTED TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY. I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR CONTINUOUSLY AND THEN TO THE FLOOR; RPM'S REVVED TO 5400; LOUD AIRPLANE TYPE SOUND; WITH NO ACCELERATION. SUBARU OF MANCHESTER HAS SINCE DETERMINED THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED AN UPDATE AND RESET OF THE TRANSMISSION SETTINGS. THEY ALSO FOUND A LEAK BETWEEN THE TRANSMISSION AND THE ENGINE WHICH THEY STATE CAME FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THEY STATED THE POWER TRAIN IS FINE. I WILL PICK MY VEHICLE UP FROM THIS REPAIR WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS AND WILL SEE IF THAT WAS IN FACT THE ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TELESCOPIC STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT LOCK INTO POSITION. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE THE STEERING WHEEL SHAFT WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 13V194000 (STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
AS I DROVE MY VEHICLE INTO A PARKING SPACE WITH A CONCRETE BUMPER AT THE HEAD, JUST AS IT WAS READY TO STOP, IT SUDDENLY LUNGED FORWARD OVER THE CONCRETE BUMPER AND FINALLY CAME TO A STOP WHEN THE BACK WHEELS MADE CONTACT WITH THE CONCRETE BUMPER AND THE IGNITION WAS TURNED OFF. A VERY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE. AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING THIS CAR FOR FEAR OF ANOTHER SIMILAR OCCURRENCE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE WANDERED LEFT AND RIGHT. AN INSPECTION WAS PERFORMED, BUT NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V194000 (STEERING). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100. UPDATED 10/22/13*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED ADJUSTMENTS WERE MADE, BUT IT DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM.
2013 SUBARU LEGACY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE ACCELERATION PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE ENGINE STALLED QUITE FREQUENTLY ON ACCELERATION, USUALLY AT SPEEDS OF 35 MPH. IT WOULD OCCUR WHEN GOING UP SLIGHT HILLS, DOWN HILL AND LEVEL ROADS. THE ENGINE WOULD RE-START ITSELF AFTER LOOSING 5-10 MPH. APPLYING THE ACCELERATOR MADE NO DIFFERENCE. THE DEALER REPROGRAMMED THE COMPUTER, BUT THE PROBLEM RETURNED, SHORTLY THEREAFTER. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 SUBARU LEGACY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SWERVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I HAVE A DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT LOCK THAT CLICKS ALL THE TIME AND CREATES A HAZARD WHEN DRIVING. THE NOISE IS EXCESSIVE AND CAN DISTRACT A DRIVER FROM THE ROAD, THINKING THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG. I AM REPORTING THIS TO YOU, BECAUSE SUBARU THINKS THIS IS NORMAL. I, AS A LESSEE, WAS NEVER INFORMED REGARDING THIS ISSUE BEFORE SIGNING PAPERWORK. IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE AND IS VERY DISTRACTING. *TR
