After 86,000 miles, the oil consumption per week are 1 quart of gallon. And smell weird
The engine started burning oil at about 105,000 miles, despite it never missing an oil change and never abused. Apparently other Hyundais and Kia’s have also experienced early engine failure due to the manufactures poor quality control. It’ll burn about a quart of oil about every 1,500 miles. The engine has about 127,000 miles on the odometer.
The contact owns a 2014 Hyundai Accent. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds and when sitting idle the air conditioning warning light would flicker the rpm would drop down or go straight to zero, the speedometer would drop down zero and the vehicle began to have hesitation as if it intends to stall. The contact stated that when the issues occurs on the highway they would pull over to the side of the road where the vehicle would then stall once they were idle. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer who was not able to find the cause of the failure. The dealer performed an induction service. The failure reoccurred immediately after. The contact stated that they then took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who confirmed the dealer's information. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 67,000.
Always needed oil
While driving to work one day i noticed my oil light flashing. So after work i took my car to Pep Boys to see what was going on with it and why my oil light was flashing. Mechanic asked me to bring it back on Saturday when he can take a better look at why it was flashing. After he did a diagnostics on my vehicle he said he couldnt find anything besides that the engine is burning oil and they couldnt figure out why or where it was that was causing this problem. Told me that i should check my oil everyday to see if its low and fill it if it does get low. My vehicle has 140,000 miles on it and this is the first time any of the flashing lights on the dashboard have come on.
AIRBAGS DIDN'T GO OFF IN A SERIOUS CRASH. HIT A DITCH GOING 40MPH AND ROLLED SEVERAL TIMES*DT*DT
ON 2/11/21, I WAS DRIVING NORTH ON I294 WHEN I SUDDENLY LOST ACCELERATION. I HAD SEVERAL NEAR MISSES WITH A SEMI AND THE VEHICLES BEHIND ME. I PULLED OVER, CHECKED THE VEHICLE AND DID NOT FIND AN ISSUE. I WENT BACK ON THE ROAD AND THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING. I TOOK THE CAR INTO THE SHOP, WHERE IT WAS FOUND TO HAVE A BAD CATALYTIC CONVERTER, SPARK PLUGS, AND IGNITION COILS. THIS WAS NOT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED OVER TIME. IT WAS VERY QUICK. I HAD THE PARTS REPLACED. 700 MILES LATER, ON 2/25/21, THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED. AGAIN, VERY CLOSE TO WRECKING AND CAUSING A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I TOOK THE CAR IN AGAIN, AND THEY WERE SHOCKED TO FIND THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAD MELTED. PER MECHANIC, IT IS DUE TO SERVICE BULLETIN 428 AND 429. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE AREA FOR ADDING SPEED, AND ONE AREA FOR DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE. MY VEHICLE IS MAKING TICKING SOUNDS IN THE ENGINE
I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY 2014 HYUNDAI ACCENT. WAS ON NOV 29 2020. WE HAD RAN SOME ERRANDS AND HAD A BIRTHDAY DINNER WITH MY MOTHER WHO LIVES A HR AWAY. WE PULLED INTO OUR DRIVEWAY AND TOOK MY ITEMS INTO THE HOUSE.AS I WAS GOING IN I HEARD A LOT OF A CAR HONKING. I LOOKED OUT MY WINDOW AND MY CAR WAS IN FLAMES. 911 WAS CALLED. TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF THE OWNER OF A 2014 HYUNDAI ACCENT. WHILE DRIVING 68-70 MPH, THE VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL WELL BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE OWNER'S VEHICLE SPUN AROUND, CRASHED INTO A CONCRETE BARRIER, FLIPPED OVER THREE TIMES, AND LANDED ON ALL FOUR TIRES; HOWEVER, THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION AND A COMPRESSED SPINE, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE OTHER DRIVER FLED THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, BUT THE CONTACT WAS PLACED ON HOLD AND THEN THE LINE DISCONNECTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
THIS CAR AND ITS SEAT HAVE GRADUALLY ERODED BY LOWER BACK AND SPINE. THE SEAT IS SHAPED IN AN SUCH A WAY THAT IT FORCES THE SPINE INTO AN UNNATURAL POSITION. WHEN FACTORING IN THE FACT THAT EVEN MINOR BUMPS IN THIS CAR CAUSE ITS WEAK SUSPENSION TO SEND VIBRATIONS THROUGHOUT THE SEAT, MY BACK HAS SUFFERED LONG LASTING DAMAGE. NO AMOUNT OF BUILT IN LUMBAR SUPPORT OR ADDED CUSHIONS HAS RESOLVED THIS ISSUE. IN ADDITION THE ONLY WAY TO GET ADEQUATE LEG ROOM IS TO HAVE THE SEAT BACK BUT THE POSITION OF THE STEERING WHEEL PULLS THE SHOULDERS FORWARD. THIS HAS RESULTED IN A GREAT AMOUNT OF PAIN AND PUTS THE SPINE IN A FURTHER VULNERABLE POSITION TO BE SUBJECTED TO VIBRATIONS FROM THE ROAD AND FORCES AN UNNATURAL SITTING POSITION. IN THE ATTACHED IMAGES, PLEASE NOTE THE POSITION AT WHICH THE STEERING WHEEL IS IN RELATION TO THE SEAT. IT DOES NOT ALLOW FOR A NATURAL BEND OF THE ELBOW. IN STEAD IT FORCES THE DRIVER TO KEEP THEIR ELBOW POINTED UP. THIS SEAT IS A CLEAR SAFETY VIOLATION, NOT JUST FOR MY BACK AND PHYSICAL WELL BEING BUT FOR THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND OTHER DRIVERS. THIS CAR DOES NOT ALLOW FOR ME TO PROPERLY SEE THE ROAD AND HANDLE THE CAR AS I AM DRIVING. THE PHYSICAL PAIN AND DISCOMFORT IT CAUSES MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO CONCENTRATE ON THE ROAD. I OFTEN FEAR THAT IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THIS RESULTS IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
WAS DRIVING WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY AIR FLOW STOPPED WORKING. IT MADE SOUND BUT WOULDNT CHANGE OVER TO FEET/FULL BODY OR DEFROST. STAYED LIKE THAT WHILE DRIVING AND IN MOTION
IT APPEARS THE RACKENPENION HAS GONE OUT AND IS UNABLE TO STEER PROPERLY. ALSO THE TRACTION CONTROL CONTINUES TO COME ON CAUSING THE TIRES UNABLE TO GRIP THE ROAD PROPERLY AND THE GAS PETAL TO SHUT OFF.
ON 12OCT2018 WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY, I NOTICED A CHEMICAL SMELL COMING FROM MY CAR. WITHIN SECONDS, ALL OF THE DASH LIGHTS CAME ON. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I REALIZED THAT I HAD NO BRAKES AND THAT FLAMES WERE COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. UPON IMMEDIATELY EXITING THE VEHICLE, I NOTICED FLAMES UNDER THE VEHICLE AND COMING OUT OF THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. MY CAR BECAME TOTALLY ENGULFED AND IS A TOTAL LOSS. FIREFIGHTERS WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE.
MY RED AIRBAG LIGHT HAS TURNED ON AND I'M BEING TOLD THAT I NEED TO GET A SENSOR REPLACED THAT COSTS $300-$400. I TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT AND HAVE DONE NOTHING FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. IT SEEMS LIKE A MANUFACTURING ERROR THAT HYUNDAI HAS AFTER LOOKING ONLINE.
THE ENGINE 1ST STOPPED 2 WEEKS AGO AT A RED LIGHT. I SAY "STOPPED" BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT DID "STOP," NO WARNING LIGHT OR SIGNAL. IT SIMPLY STOPPED. HAD TO GET PUSHED OFF THE ROAD. STARTED AFTER 15-20 MIN. TOOK IT TO MECHANIC, FOUND NOTHING WRONG. SENSORS, GAS, ELECTRIC. "I CANT DO NOTHING, NO SYMPTOMS." 2ND TIME IT STOPPED WHILE DRIVING. STILL ROLLING, I GUIDED THE VEHICLE OF THE ROAD. STARTED AFTER 10-15MIN. 3RD TIME AT A CONVENIENCE STORE CALLED THE FIRST MECHANIC HE SAID TO CALL HIM WHEN IT STOPPED AGAIN. HE COULD USE A PORTABLE GAGE WHILE IT WAS IN THE "STOPPED" STATE. BUT IT STARTED AGAIN BEFORE THE MECHANIC GOT THERE SO HE COULDN'T USE THE GAGE. I CALLED TO THE COMPANY WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR. HE SENT ME TO THEIR LOCAL MECHANIC WHO DID THE SAME CHECK AS THE FIRST; SAW NO PROBLEM. LASTLY, IT STOPPED MULTI PAL TIMES IN 1 DAY. EVEN WHILE TURNING ONTO A TWO- LANE SIDE- STREET, IN HIGH TRAFFIC! OTHER CARS HAD TO STOP RIGHT BEHIND ME IN A TURNING POSITION AND GO AROUND. AGAIN HAD TO GET PUSHED OUT OF THE ROAD. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. THE COMPANY.. I BOUGHT IT WENT BEYOND THEIR POLICY AND HAD THEIR MECHANICS TO CHECK IT, STILL NOTHING. THIS IS THE 3RD WEEK. I DON'T TRUST THIS VEHICLE TO DRIVE IT SO, THE COMPANY IS SENDING IT TO A HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP TODAY. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR EXPECT FROM THIS WHOLE ISSUE. I AM NOT SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE AND TO PAY ANYTHING OUT OF POCKET IS UNTHINKABLE. AS IT IS ONLY 4 YRS OLD. I GOT IT WHEN IT WAS 2 YRS OLD. THE WAY THE VEHICLE STOPS IS UNUSUAL. TAKATA RECALL WHILE DRIVING THE CAR I WOULD NOTICE THAT THE STREERING WHEEL WOULD SWAY TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT INSTEAD OF BEING FIRMLY IT SEEMED AS IF IT WAS NOT STABLE ENOUGH. I WENT TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS BUT, THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. IN NOVEMBER 2016 THERE WAS A CRASH FROM A DUI INDIVIDUAL AND THE CAR WAS TOTALED. FOR THE LEVEL OF IMPACT; ALL THE AIRBAGS ON THE LEFT SIDE SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. BUT, THEY DIDN'T. I DID FILE A COMPLAIN WITH THE CAR MANUFACTURER BUT, THEY SAID SINCE THE INITIAL IMPACT WAS NOT VELOCITY TO DEPLOY THE AIRBAGS, THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR ONE MORNING I HIT A PATCH OF ICE GOING 35MPH IN A 40MPH ZONE. UPON HITTING THE ICE MY CAR SWERVED AND I OVERCORRECTED, CAUSING THE CAR TO JERK OFF OF THE ROAD AND FLIP ONTO ITS TOP, ALL WHILE TAKING OUT A TELEPHONE POLE IN THE PROCESS. THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS INJURED AND THERE WAS NO PROPERTY DAMAGE OTHER THAN THE CAR AND TELEPHONE POLE. HOWEVER, NOT A SINGLE AIRBAG IN THE 2014 HYUNDAI ACCENT DEPLOYED DURING THE ACCIDENT. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS INTACT WHEN THE CAR CEASED MOTION. AGAIN, I TOOK OUT A TELEPHONE POLE, SO I EXPECT THAT MY AIRBAGS WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE TO BUFFER HAD I BEEN JERKED FORWARD OR SIDEWAYS. TO MY UNDERSTANDING AIRBAGS DEPLOY GENERALLY BETWEEN 16 AND 30 MPH SO I FIND IT ODD THAT THEY DID NOT.

AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUFFERED BACK AND NECK PAIN AND MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE TIRE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE PLACE OF PURCHASE WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRE DID NOT HAVE WIRE AND WAS PURE RUBBER, WHICH CAUSED THE TIRE TO FAIL AND SUFFER A BLOWOUT. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRE WAS A REPLACEMENT TIRE. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE APPROXIMATE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE. NP
WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE IN PHOENIX AT NOON ON A DRY AND CLEAR DAY, TRAFFIC STOPPED ABRUPTLY. I REAR-ENDED A FULL SIZED PICKUP TRUCK. THE FRONT END WENT MOSTLY UNDER THE TRUCK, SHATTERED THE UPPER HALF OF THE BUMPER AND HEADLIGHTS, FOLDED THE HOOD IN HALF. THE WINDSHIELD WAS ALSO BROKEN. MY HEAD HIT THE STEERING WHEEL AND NO AIRBAGS WERE DEPLOYED. THE POLICE REPORT ESTIMATED SPEED AT IMPACT TO BE 25 MPH BUT THERE WAS NOT AN EXTENSIVE INVESTIGATION.
AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY IN A CRASH INTO MEDIAN BARRIER ON A HIGHWAY. SPEED AT ABOUT 50 MPH, WITH A FRONT/SIDE IMPACT, AFTER SPINNING ON ICY ROADS.
MY YOUNGER SISTER AND HER PASSENGER TURNED LEFT LEAVING THE HOSPITAL HEADED SOUTH BOUND ON NST TRAVELING THROUGH THE GREEN LIGHT A CAR COMING EAST BOUND CAME THROUGH THE RED LIGHT AND HIT MY CAR. BOTH CARS WENT SPINNING OUT AND THEN SHUT OFF. I WAS A CAR BEHIND THEM SO I JUMPED OUT OF MY OTHER CAR TO CHECK ON HER TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE OK. AFTER ASKING THAT I CALLED 911 MYSELF AND SOMEONE ELSE. WHEN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND AMBULANCE ARRIVED THEY CHECKED THEM OUT AND DETERMINED THAT MY SISTER NEEDED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL BUT BEFORE THEY LEFT THEY ASK BECAUSE OF THE DAMAGE THEY ASK ABOUT THE AIRBAGS AND LOOKED TO SEE IF THEY DIDN'T DEPLOY AND THEY HADN'T. THEY LEFT AND THEN THE POLICE CAME THEY TOOK STATEMENTS FROM WITNESSES AND CHECKED FOR THE AIRBAGS ALSO AT THAT TIME THEY INFORMED ME THAT I NEED TO SPEAK WITH MY INSURANCE AND CALL HYUNDAI. I DID DOBBOTH OF THEM WHEN I SPOKE TO HYUNDAI THEY THEN GAVE US A REPRESENTATIVE NAME [XXX] HE THEN INFORMED ME THAT THEY NEEDED TO DO AN INSPECTION ON THE CAR. THE INSPECTORS NAME IS [XXX]. [XXX] THEN SPOKE WITH ME ABOUT THE WAY THINGS WORK AND THAT HE NEEDED TO TOW THE CAR TO A HYUNDAI LOT TO USE THEIR MACHINES AND COMPUTERS. HE DID THAT AND A WEEK LATER HE CALL TO TELL ME THAT THE REPORT HE SUBMITTED 4 DAYS PRIOR HAD BEEN CORRUPTED AT THE HYUNDAI OFFICE AND HE NEEDED TO DO ANOTHER INSPECTION BUT THIS ONE HE DIDN'T NEED TO TOW IT FOR THIS ONE. LONG STORY SHORT THEY CALLED THE CITY AND TOLD THEM THE CAR WAS ABANDONED AND HAD IT TOWED THE SAME DAY THEY INFORMED THAT THE AIRBAGS SENSOR ACTED ACCORDINGLY IT WASN'T HIT HEAD ON AND THAT THE CAR NEEDED TO BE HIT RIGHT BY THE LICENSE PLATE WHICH WAS KNOCKED OFF IN THE CRASH AND EVERYTHING WAS SMASHED IN. THEY ARE TRYING TO COVER UP THIS AIRBAG PROBLEM SO THEY DON'T HAVE TO RECALL THIS CAR LIKE THEY DID WITH THE SONATAS AND THEIR AIRBAGS. I NEED HELP. PURCHASED THE CAR USED IN 2015 WITH LESS THAN 30,000 MILES AND IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS THE POWER STEERING STARTED MALFUNCTIONING REGULARLY. WARNING LIGHT WOULD COME ON WHILE DRIVING AND THEN THE NEXT TIME I'D START THE CAR IT'D BE OKAY. THEN THE SAME THING WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN 3 DAYS LATER, OVER AND OVER AGAIN. TERRIBLE.

I BOUGHT A 2014 HYUNDAI ACCENT WITH 16,XXX MILES ON IT AND AFTER A MONTH OF DRIVING THE CAR I NOTICED A BUBBLE IN THE SIDE WALL. WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND THAT "I MUST HAVE CAUSED THE DAMAGE" WORDS DIRECTLY FROM THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP. I HAVE ANALYZED THE TIRE AND THERE IS NO SIGN OF HITTING ANYTHING (POTHOLE, CURB, ETC) VERY DISPLEASED WITH THESE TIRES AND THE FACT THAT ITS $120+ FOR A TIRE THAT SHOULD'VE BEEN RECALLED.
I BOUGHT MY HYUNDAI AROUND MARCH OR APRIL 2015. AFTER ABOUT A MONTH I NOTICED THAT THE ESC WAS COMING ON AND OFF. WHILE VISITING FAMILY IN FISHERS INDIANA IN AUGUST I NOTICED THAT NOT ONLY WAS THE ESC COMING BUT ALSO ALL THE OTHER WARNING LIGHTS I.E. ABS, AIR BAG, PARKING BRAKE AND EPS. ON AUGUST 17 I TOOK MY CAR TO THE NOBLESVILLE HYUNDAI DEALER. ON THE 18TH I WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM WAS A NEGATIVE COMPONENT NOT GROUNDED AND WAS FIXED. ABOUT 1.5 WEEKS LATER THE PROBLEM RETURNED PLUS NOW THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT WAS COMING ON. ON THE 31ST OF AUGUST I WENT BACK TO THE DEALER EXPLAINING THAT THE PROBLEM HAD RETURNED. AS OF SEPTEMBER 2 THEY STILL HAVE NOT DETERMINED WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. PICKED UP MY CAR ON SEPTEMBER 3RD AND WAS TOLD THAT SINCE THEY COULDN'T GET THE CAR TO ACT UP THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO SO I TOOK MY CAR. I'LL JUST HAVE TO SEE IF AND WHEN THE PROBLEM OCCURS AGAIN THEN TAKE IT STRAIGHT BACK TO DEALER.
I BOUGHT MY CAR IN FEB 2014, SINCE THAT THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) INDICATOR HAS COME ON SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING. WHEN THE ESC IS ON, THE OTHER INDICATORS AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT, ABS, PARKING BRAKE & BRAKE FLUID WARNING LIGHT, LOW TIRE PRESSURE TELLTALE AND ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING (EPS) INDICATOR WILL ALSO TAKE TURNS TO COME ON FOR A WHILE AND THEN OFF FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN BACK ON AGAIN. AFTER I RESTART, ESC LIGHT WILL STAY ON AND THE OTHER LIGHTS TAKE TURNS TO ON AND OFF. THIS WILL LAST SEVERAL DAYS AND THEN BACK TO NORMAL. THE WORST THING HAPPENED ON JUNE, 2015, AFTER THE LIGHTS HAVE BEEN ON AND OFF THE DAY BEFORE, THE ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING WAS LOST WHEN I STARTED MY CAR. AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT, ABS, PARKING BRAKE & BRAKE FLUID WARNING LIGHT AND EPS WERE ALL ON. I WAS TOTALLY IN SHOCK BY WHAT HAD HAPPENED SINCE I BASICALLY COULD NOT BACK OUT FROM THE PARKING LOT WITH THE STIFF STEERING. I RESTARTED SEVERAL TIMES AND COULD NOT WORK OUT. WHEN I FINALLY GOT TO DEALER, THE TECHNICIAN TURNED ON THE CAR, EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL. THEY TRIED TO GET A CODE FOR ME BUT NO CODE SHOWED ANY MALFUNCTION. SINCE THEN, I WAS DRIVING IN AFRAID THAT THIS MAY HAPPEN AGAIN AT ANY TIME AND I MAY LOSE CONTROL AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
MY DAUGHTER RECENTLY PURCHASED (JAN 29 2015) A 2014 HYUNDAI/ ACCENT/ GLS, VEHICLE # [XXX] FROM HADDAD OF THE BERKSHIRE HADDAD HYUNDAI, 689 EAST STREET IN PITTSFIELD , MA 01201 THIS VEHICLE CAME EQUIPPED WITH 4 KUHMO TIRES (LOW PROFILE # [XXX] . WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE TWO OF THE ORIGINAL TIRES THE DRIVER LEFT FRONT TIRE DEVELOPED A GIANT BULGE IN THE SIDEWALL (THE TIRE AND RIM HAVE NO INDICATION OF SCRAP ON THE SIDE ), WE ALSO NOTICED THE RIGHT REAR TIRE IS DEVELOPING A BULGE IN THE SIDEWALL. I JUST HAD THE LEFT FRONT DRIVERS TIRE REPLACED AT THE ORIGINAL DEALER HADDAD OF THE BERKSHIRE HADDAD HYUNDAI, 689 EAST STREET IN PITTSFIELD , MA 01201 . UPON REVIEW WITH SERVICE ASSOCIATE THEY DETERMINED THE TIRES ARE NOT FAULTY AND ARE NOT COVERED AS WARRANTY. I FEEL DIFFERENTLY ABOUT THIS ISSUE, THREE PROBLEMS WITH TIRES ON A CAR LESS THAN OLD LEAVES ME WONDERING ABOUT THE KUMHO TIRES AND THE TIRES COMPATIBILITY AND ABILITY TO PERFORM ON THIS HYUNDAI ACCENT. DEALERS COMMENTS" I REVIEWED YOUR EMAIL WITH [XXX] , OUR SERVICE DIRECTOR AND WE ALSO SPOKE TO [XXX] AT HYUNDAI. THIS BULGING CONDITION ON THE TIRES IS CONSIDERED A ROAD HAZARD WHICH IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. IT IS CAUSED BY POT HOLES AND WHEN THEY ARE HIT, IT BREAKS THE SIDE WALL STEAL BELT. THIS CAUSES THE BULGE WHICH EVENTUALLY WILL POP. THE TIRES ARE ALSO A LOWER PROFILE TIRE. " IT APPEARS TO ME THERE IS A DEFECT WITH THESE TWO TIRES THAT BULGED OUT, KEEP IN MIND THE RIMS AND TIRES IN QUESTION HAVE NO SCRAPS OR DENTS.. IN MY OPINION THE KUMHO TIRES / DESCRIPTION [XXX] LOW PROFILE POSE A SERIOUS HAZARD TO ANY VEHICLE THAT IS EQUIPPED WITH THEM DUE TO THE ABILITY TO DAMAGE UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS.
