CAR STOPPED WORKING IN THE FREEWAY WARRANTY DETECTED,AFTER I HAD TO PAY $1200 TO TEAR ENGINE, THAT A HOSE BEHIND ENGINE WAS DISCONNECTED WHICH CAUSED OVERHEATING OF ENGINE. NO SENSOR WARNING ALERTS SHOWN. CAR HAS 64K MILEAGE SOLD WITH 41K. WARRANTY DIDN'T COVER DEALER WILL START CHARGING ME FOR STORAGE. CAR WITH DEALER SINCE 11/20 WARRANTY JUST CHECKED ON MARCH 2021
BACKED CAR OUT OF GARAGE ONTO DRIVEWAY. PASSENGER SIDE MIRROW WAS NOT IN PROPER POSITION. PUT VEHICLE IN PARK AND LEFT ENGINE RUNNING. WALKED AROUND CAR AND WHEN I TOUCHED MIRROR VEHICLE STARTED MOVING FORWARD. JUMPED IN PASSENGER DOOR AND LEANING ACROSS CONSOLE PUT HAND ON BRAKE. BOTH DOORS SLAMMED SHUT AND WERE DAMAGED AS DOORS HIT GARAGE FRAME.REACHED UP WITH OTHER HAND AND SHUT ENGINE OFF. A FEW YEARS AGO I HAD AN ISSUE WHERE THE CAR WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND WHEN I TOOK FOOT OFF BRAKE AND TOUCHED THE GAS THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. THIS WAS A SOFTWARE ISSUE AND DEALER HAD TO REPROGRAM SO IT DID NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. THIS SEEMS TO BE THE REVERSE WHERE THE ENGINE WAS IN PARK BUT STARTED MOVING FORWARD ON ITS OWN. DRIVEWAY SLOPES DOWN FROM THE GARAGE TO THE STREET.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 JAGUAR XJ. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO OVERHEAT AND THE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. PROBLEM INVOLVES INTERCOOLER PIPE THAT WAS MADE FOR THE CAR DURING PRODUCTION AND JAGUAR NOW MAKES A NEW INTERCOOLER PIPE DIFFRENT FROM ORIGINAL THAT DOES NOT COME IN THE CAR ORIGINALLY THAT CAUSES CAR TO OVER HEAT AND CAUSE ENGINE DAMAGE AS WELL AS RUINING YOUR WATER PUMP WHICH IN TIME IF NOT TREATED CAN CAUSE A FIRE AND ENGINE DAMAGE ALSO REAR SUSPENSION HAS FAULTY BUSHINGS AND AIR SUSPENSION IS LEAKS CAUSING SUSPENSION TO BREAK DOWN EASILY AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT NOT TO LAST MAY CAUSE SUSPENSION TO COLLAPSE MAKING IT HAZARDOUS ON THE ROAD

EVERY COUPLE OF WEEKS THE BLIND SPOT MONITOR FUNCTION ON MY 2014 XJ AWD MALFUNCTIONS FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I GET THE FAULT MESSAGE, "BLIND SPOT MONITOR BLOCKED" EVEN THOUGH NOTHING IS BLOCKING THE SENSOR. THIS FUNCTION STOPS WORKING UNTIL I TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART IT TO RESET THE VEHICLE'S COMPUTER. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO ROSENTHAL JAGUAR OF TYSON CORNER IN VIENNA, VA TWICE FOR THIS MALFUNCTION. THE TECHNICIANS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. OTHER JAGUAR OWNERS WITH THIS FEATURE IN THEIR VEHICLES ARE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS CLEARLY A DESIGN ISSUE WITH THE JAGUAR VEHICLES THAT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED SO THAT A SOLUTION CAN BE FOUND TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AND A RECALL CAN BE CONDUCTED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES TO FIX THIS ISSUE. *TR
