TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 LAND ROVER LR2. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR PEDALS BECAME DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE DEALER (LAND ROVER SOUTHWEST HOUSTON, 10150 SOUTHWEST FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77074, (844) 894-5469) WAS CONTACTED. THE CONTACT PLANNED ON TOWING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000.
VEHICLE WAS MOVING FORWARD AND T-BONED ON THE SIDE BY A SMALLER VEHICLE. VEHICLE ROLLED OVER ON TO ITS ROOF. SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BUT THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2010-2015 LR2 and 2012-2013 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. A component within the Occupant Classification System (OCS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may fail, resulting in the front seat passenger air bag being totally or partially disabled.
