on my vehicle the Electrical system in the Drivers door and All 4 doors have connector connecting the doors electrical to the main Body harness. These connectors DO NOT HAVE a gasket or any means of sealing out the weather, This connector rides between door and body between the Hinges and is exposed to weather and Road Conditions. This Connector not being weather Proofed has rotted and shorted/Corroded pins. This failure of the Pins has disabled all electrical function controlled from the Driver door. 1. Driver is unable to adjust Power mirrors. 2. Driver is unable to lock or unlock other doors. 3. Driver is unable to Disable Other passengers ability to open or close ANY power windows 4. Driver is unable to open/close Drivers window and or Passenger windows. (ie child opens) 5. Driver is unable to Open or close any power windows. 6. Should driver manually lock Driver Door and become incapacitated in any way, Driver Door lock does not respond to Lock/UN-Lock form other doors or computer. I recently bought this vehicle in a private sale, Previous owner did point out window buttons not working, I believe was unaware of the other Door Controls not functioning, was un-aware of functions not working. Searching on google has reviled this issue to me on wide range of years and makes for Chevy/GMC

Car shutters when between 30-40 mph. Multiple other reports online with same vehicles claiming torque converter issues.
Air bag on right side is off, Vehicle front dash has the air bag needs to be serviced. this started as of the 1st month of purchased, took to dealership and they could not duplicated the problem. The air bag would go off and off from time to time, but by the time I had my appointment at the dealership it would go back on. Now I am out of warranty and the light is always red that the air bag on the right side is off. I noticed that when we would close the back of the vehicle after placing groceries the light would go off and when closing again it would go off. Now it is always on indicating that the right air bag is not on.
The headlights constantly burn out, at a rate of one bulb every two months. It would be a tragic safety event if they both went out at the same time. The design of the headlight system is poor in that you have to replace the light through the inner fender, making it nearly impossible to do without touching the bulb. Poor design and something needs to be done to address this issue.
Vehicle shuts off while driving check engine light and traction light turn on.. sometimes starts shaking really bad... also decelerates while driving.. incidents have occurred multiple times within the last 4 months
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated while driving at 5 MPH and turning into a parking spot, the steering wheel inadvertently lost power steering assist functionality. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated she was able to forcefully steer the steering wheel with the assistance of her son and the vehicle was parked. The dealer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that they would be able to diagnose the vehicle in the next 3 weeks. The contact also stated that she noticed that the steering wheel would regain power steering functionality while the accelerator pedal was depressed and would lose power steering functionality after releasing the accelerator pedal. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
Power steering pump and high pressure hose gave out needing to be replaced. GM has manufactured a replacement pump that is superior to the original obviously noticing that it was not going to hold up.
From almost the time it left the factory, the onboard navigation system included in this vehicle has contained out of date and dangerous mapping. Drivers should be warned not to rely on the system until proper updates are provided by the manufacturer. This is particularly dangerous in areas where new construction has altered entrance and exit points on highways. Countless attempts to work with the manufacturer to obtain an update have fallen on deaf ears. On a recent trip the outdated mapping recommended a 150 mile detour where none was ultimately needed.
Vehicle started bucking and shaking when taking off from traffic light. With excessive speed 50-60MPH that followed the bucking. Tried applying both feet by standing on the brakes. Car started to slow down, only to speed back up until, the vehicle could be shut off. Lights on dash were flashing. On such a heavy traveled, congested road, someone could have been killed. My car is scheduled to be looked at by Dealer.
THE SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. I HAVE TO MOVE THE WIRING UNDER PASSENGER SEAT FOR IT TO RESET. WHEN EVER I START THE CAR, SOMETIMES IT GOES ON WHEN THE REAR LIFTGATE IS CLOSED.
VEHICLE BEGAN STUTTERING WHEN UPSHIFT OR DOWNSHIFT 2ND-3RD GEARS LOW SPEEDS. TOOK TO DEALER. AT FIRST COULD NOT REPLICATE BUT THEN FOUND GM SERVICE BULLETIN # 18-NA-358 (SEE ATTACHED). FIRST RELEASED IN NOVEMBER 2018 AND MOST RECENTLY UPDATED OCTOBER 2020. IT LISTS THIS EXACT PROBLEM AND A FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. IT INCLUDES MANY GM VEHICLES INCLUDING MY 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. THE DEALER SAID THERE WAS NOT A RECALL THAT THIS WAS JUST A NORMAL BULLETIN TO HELP TECHNICIANS HANDLE PREVIOUSLY REPORTED PROBLEMS. I WOULD REQUEST SOMEONE TO REVIEW FOR A POSSIBLE RECALL. MY TRAVERSE ONLY HAS 94,000 MILES.
CHEVY TRAVERSE 2015 WITH 72700 MILES HAS PROBLEMS WITH POWER STEERING PUMP ITS MAKING NOISES, AND FEELS HARD WHEN MANEUVERING, I WAS CHECKING RECALLS BUT, MY CAR ITS OUT OF IT BECAUSE IT IS FROM 11/2014 AND RECALL IS FROM 12/ 2014 JUST A COUE OF DAYS, BESIDES THAT THE A/C WAS FIXED BECAUSE DIDN'T WORKED FOR A WHILE MOSTLY IN THE BACK SEATS, I PAYED ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS TO GET IT FIXED.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM MOTOR 'SHREDDED' FROM THE INSIDE. ENTIRE SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. STOPPED PRODUCING COLD AIR SUMMER 2020.
I PURCHASED A USED 2015 CHEVY TRAVERSE FROM A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP WITH 58435 MILES. WITHIN 200 MILES, THE REAR AC WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING TO AN AIR SHOW IN JUNE 2020. I LIVE IN THE SOUTHEAST WHERE TEMPS CAN GET VERY HOT AND HUMID QUICKLY, AND I HAVE TWO YOUNG CHILDREN. SO NOW, MY CAR HAS BECOME A HAZARD TO MY CHILDREN AS I AM NOT ABLE TO DRIVE THEM ANYWHERE WHEN THE SUN IS OUT. IT IS UNIMAGINABLE TO LEAVE A CHILD IN A HOT CAR, SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE WHEN CHEVROLET HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE AC ISSUES IN ITS VEHICLES FOR YEARS!!! CHEVROLET HAS ALREADY ISSUED AN UPDATED PART! THEY KNOW, AND YET THERE IS NO RECALL. HAVING A MANUFACTURER KNOW ABOUT A FAULTY AC IS A SAFETY PROBLEM, FOR CHILDREN. PERIOD. AND THEY NEED TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND OWN UP TO IT. JUST GOOGLE KNOWN AC PROBLEMS IN 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WAVEPLATE FAILURE CAUSING TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT PER DEALERSHIP. THEY STATE NO WARRANTY OR RECALLS. VEHICLE VIBRATES AND GEARS SLIP AT 15-25 MPH, ESPECIALLY ON LOW INCLINE. 113K MILES.

(3736 US-10, LUDINGTON, MI 49431) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULE. THE CONTACT WAS THEN PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED ON 04/19/2021.
I COME TO A STOP THEN MY SUV STARTS TO SHAKE THEN TURNS OFF AS I AM AT A LIGHT OR ABOUT TO TURN AT A STOP. WHEN I PUSH AN THE GAS PEDAL THE WHOLE SUV SHAKES AND SOMETIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON RIGHT BEFORE THE WHOLE CAR JUST TURN OFF WHEN I COME TO A STOP. I'VE HAD ALL 4 CO2 SENSORS CHANGED. EVERYTHING THE DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD ME TO FIX I HAVE PAID TO HAVE DONE ON MY CAR. AND YET MY PROBLEM IS THE SAME THING FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. I COULDN'T RETURN IT BECAUSE I WAITED TO LONG AFTER MY WARRANTY. NOW I AM TOLD TO KEEP PAYING FOR SERVICES I HAVE ALREADY PAID TO HAVE DONE. WHEN STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, MY CAR'S OIL PRESSURE LOW LIGHT CAME ON. I GOT TO A PLACE WHERE I COULD PULL OFF THE ROAD AND PARK. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND HAD IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC. THE CAR WAS WELL MAINTAINED WITH ABOUT 65,000 MILES. THE ENGINE IS DONE AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM IS UNKNOWN.

THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THE STEERING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REACHED OUT TO THE DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.

THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SERVICED BY THE DEALER ON FIVE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
DRIVER SIDE REAR BRAKE PAD RETAINER DEFECTIVE. PART IS MADE SO THAT THE BRAKE PADS DO NOT MOVE SO THAT YOU GET SEVERE PAD WEAR, SAME AS IF YOU HAD A FROZEN CALIPER. DEALER DID NOTHING TO FIX IT. MY BROTHER HAD A 2016 AND THE OTHER SIDE DID THE SAME THING. I ALSO NOTICED MY FRIENDS 2019 BLAZER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. CAN'T FIND ONE TO REPLACE IT SO I GROUND THE ENDS OF THE PADS SO THEY COULD MOVE FREELY. OTHER INDICATION IS SPONGY FEEL STOPPING THE CAR. THE POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING RANDOMLY. IT HAPPENS WHEN I'M AT A VERY LOW SPEED AND TRYING TO TURN INTO A PARKING SPACE FOR EXAMPLE. ONCE YOU GIVE THE VEHICLE GAS IT SOMETIMES COMES BACK.
A WEEK AFTER THE PURCHASE, THE CAR STARTED TO STALL WHILE DRIVING AND THE AC WENT OUT. THE DEALER REPLACED THE AIR COMPRESSOR. ABOUT A FEW WEEKS LATER, THE VEHICLE STOPPED WOULDN'T START. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE TAKEN IT TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP AND THEY DEEMED IT AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE FIXED IT. I GOT THE VEHICLE BACK AND THE VERY NEXT DAY IT STARTED TO SMOKE WHILE DRIVING AND THE AC WENT OUT AGAIN.
INITIALLY I HAD AN ISSUE WITH SUDDEN HEAVY VIBRATION, PRIMARILY WHILE TURNING, WAS NOT RECORDING WITH A FAULT. PER MY SERVICE RECORDS ATTACHED THERE WERE SEVERAL TRIPS TRY A DIAGNOSE AND REPAIR THE ISSUE. THE MYSTERIOUS ISSUE REQUIRING GM ENGINEER SUPPORT OUTSIDE OF THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP TECHNICIANS. SHORTLY AFTER MY FINAL SERVICE FOR THE VIBRATION ISSUE I REPORTED ABNORMAL SHIFTING DURING ACCELERATION AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE SHIFTING TRAINED TO THE DRIVER. THE ABNORMAL SHIFTING NEVER RESOLVED ITSELF. PERIODICALLY THE WARNING FOR SERVICE STABILITRACK AND TRACTION CONTROL PRESENTS AND THE TRAVERSE PERFORMS ROUGHLY. THIS OCCURS RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING..THE RELATED FAULT IS NOT RECORDED EITHER. RECENTLY I HAVE HAD THIS OCCUR AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE EVEN WITH THE ACCELERATOR PRESSED TO THE FLOOR. I WAS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD BUT FEAR THAT THIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT HAD IT OCCURED ON A BUSIER STREET OR HIGHWAY. I REACHED OUT TO GENERAL MOTORS AND CMA COLONIAL CHEVY AND THEY WANT TO PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC. I JUST HAD A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND HE ADVISED THAT THE FAULT CODES WERE NOT RECORDED AND THAT MY TRANSMISSIONIS FAILING. HISTORY OF SERVICE WITH THIS VEHICLE LEADS ME TO KNOW THAT PAYING FOR A 2ND DIAGNOSTIC AT THE DEALERSHIP WILL PRESENT THE SAME RESULTS.
I RECENTLY GOT THIS CAR FROM A LICENSED DEALERSHIP AND I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES. I THE CAR HAS BROKEN DOWN TWICE AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES. 2 OF WHICH WERE FOR THE SAME ISSUE. WHILE DRIVING YOU EITHER FEEL A CONSTANT PULL THEN ITS ALMOST LIKE IT RELEASES AND THEN IT SPEEDS UP. THEN I HAVE A HARD TIME SLOWING IT DOWN. WHEN THE CAR BROKE DOWN THE TEMP GAUGE DROPPED ALL THE WAY DOWN, AC STOPPED WORKING AND WHEN I PULLED OVER AND STOPPED THE CAR IT WOULD START AGAIN. AFTER 30 MIN IT STARTED BUT IMMEDIATELY REV UP IN RPMS TO MAX AND WOULDN'T STOP TILL I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF. THEY CAR HAS BEEN IN AS I WAS TOLD IT WAS FIXED BUT IT STILL REVS UP RPMS HARD AND LONG, WHEN IT SHIFTS IT JUMPS, WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE FEELS AS IF ITS LOOSING POWER ,THE BATTER LEVELS CONSTANTLY FLUCTUATE AND THE STEERING WHEEL FEELS LIKE ITS TRYING TO JUMP OUT OF MY HANDS. JOLTS ME LIKE I'VE HIT A POT HOLE BUT THERE IS NO POT HOLE. ELECTRICAL ISSUES AS FAR AS JUST BARLEY PUTTING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND THE LIGHTS DO SOME STUFF AND ALL THE DOORS LOCK, AND ITS SET TO LOCK WHEN UP TO SPEED. SOMETIMES WHEN STARTING THE CAR IT WILL HAVE A WEEK REV AND IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WOULD WHEN YOU GET A JUMP AND YOUR TRYING TO PUMP THE JUICES. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS FIXED BUT IT STILL FEELING LIKE ITS PULLING AND THEN SPEEDS UP. RPMS STILL JUMP UP HARD AND LONG. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND EVERYONE KEEPS TELLING ME ITS FIXED BUT IT IS NOT. THIS VEHICLE WAS MENTIONED TO BE A FAMILY CAR BUT I CANT TRUST ME OR MY FAMILY IS SAFE. IT WAS MADE 07/14 BUT HAS A 2015 VIN NUMBER. THIS CAR SHOULD OF BEEN PUT OUT OF SERVICE AND NEVER SOLD TO ANYONE. SINCE THE TRAVERS HAD SO MANY RECALLS IN 2014 WHICH BY THE WAY MATCH PERFECTLY AND MORE TO WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS CAR.

SOMEONE PLEASE LOOK IN TO THIS ITS NOT COOL TO HAVE SOMETHING LIKE AN AIRBAG SAY IT NEED SERVICE JUST TO HAVE THEM SAY THAT. THE FIX COST ME 145.59 AND IT TOOK THEM AROUND 8 OR 10 MINS TO REPAIR IT. TRANSMISSION STARTED SHAKING VIGOROUSLY WHILE SLOWING DOWN THRU RESIDENTIAL AREA AT LOW SPEED GOING UP A SLIGHT INCLINE AT ABOUT 15 TO 25 MPH. ENGINE STARTED TO HEAT. NOT A SINGLE WARNING LIGHT TURNED ON AND NEVER DID PRIOR TO TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE ONLY HAS LESS THAN 86000 MILES, & APPARENTLY GM HAS NOT RECALLED THIS VEHICLE(S) FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AS IT APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP & THEY SAID THEY REPROGRAMMED THE TRANSMISSION SOLENOID AND TOOK IT FOR A 16 MILE TEST DRIVE. SUPPOSEDLY, IT WAS FIXED. BUT IT WASN'T. MULTIPLE REPORTS ON THE INTERNET SAY THE TORQUE CONVERTER IS THE PROBLEM & WILL FAIL BECAUSE OF LACK OF ADEQUATE COOLING FOR TRANSMISSION. TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING AT 42000 MILES FROM EITHER 1ST TO 2ND GEAR OR 2ND TO 3RD GEAR.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 60 MILES PER HOUR. THE CAR JARRED FORWARD , MADE A POPPING SOUND AND LOST POWER AND THE ENGINE SPEED DROPPED. I GOT OFF THE INTERSTATE THE CAR SHUT DOWN AND WOULD NOT GO. THE STABILITY TRAC CAME ON THE DASH AS WELL AS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS AND THE CAR STARTED AND I DROVE HOME. I LOOKED THIS UP ON YOUTUBE AND FOUND OUT THE CAR DOES NOT KEEP A MEMORY OF THE CODE THE CAR THROWS WHEN THIS HAPPEN. AFTER THE CAR SITS ALL NIGHT IT "RESETS" ITSELF AND THE ENGINE LIGHT GOES OFF. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND I WAS LUCKY IT DID NOT STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE . MY AIRBAG SERVICE REQUIRED LIGHT CAME ON IN JULY OF 2019. I TOOK IT TO GOSH CHEVY AND IT WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THE SAME PROBLEM OF THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT REOCCURRED IN APRIL OF 2020. I TOOK IT BACK TO GOSH CHEVY AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND THAT IT WOULD COST ME $150 TO INVESTIGATE THE PROBLEM AND WHAT EVER THE COSTS INVOLVED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM WOULD BE ON ME. AS A SAFETY ITEM AS IMPORTANT AS AN AIRBAG I WOULD THINK CHECKING THEIR ORIGINAL REPAIR WOULD BE COVERED BY THEM.

WHEN MY VEHICLE IS IN IDLE OR PARK THE FAN MAKES A TICKING NOISE. I TURN AC OR HEAT UP OR DOWN AND THE NOISE CONTINUES AT TIMES THE NOISE IS LOUDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY NATIONWIDE TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE COSMETIC REPAIRS WERE BEING PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE WARE OF THE FAILURE. THE DAMAGE WAS TO THE BUILDING AND FRONT BUMPER. NO DEALER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,700.
CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, AND I ACCELERATED THE CAR UP AN ENTRANCE RAMP ON TO A 65 MPH HIGHWAY (INTERSTATE 40, DURHAM, NC) TO MERGE INTO MODERATE TRAFFIC HEADING WEST. THE CAR THEN BEGAN ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN DESPITE TAKING MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL, AND PROBABLY REACHED 70 MPH. I PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL, WHICH SLOWED THE CAR IN A SHUDDERING MANNER, BUT DID NOT DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL, WHICH CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE. BECAUSE OF THE DANGER OF HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF US, I BRAKED AGAIN, WITH A SIMILAR RESULT. TURNING OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL BY PUSHING THE BUTTON ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL DID NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT. THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY, SO I BRAKED AGAIN AND HELD THEM HARD, WHICH SLOWED THE VEHICLE. ON THIS THIRD TRY, THE CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED, AND I WAS ABLE TO TURN IT OFF. IT'S NOT BEEN USED SINCE, SO ITS STATUS IS UNKNOWN. NO ACCIDENT AROSE FROM THIS INCIDENT.

I WAS TOLD THERE WERE A SENOR TO BE REPLACED AND PAYED FOR THE REPLACEMENT. SEPTEMBER ( AROUND 09/18/2019), THE SERVICE AIR BAG CAME ON AGAIN LESS THAN A MONTH WITH THE SAME NOTIFICATION. I WAS TOLD THEN THERE WAS A SECOND SENOR THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HERE I AM NOW IN NOVEMBER (11/20/19) WITH THE SERVICE AIR BAG NOTIFCATION ON MY DASH BOARD AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME. I'M IN THE PROCESS OF CONTACTING CHEVROLET ONCE MORE ABOUT THIS. I RESERACH THE RECALL BUT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE. I'M UNSURE IF ANYONE ELSE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. THE LIGHT EITHER POP UP AT THE START OF TURNING ON THE VEHICLE OR DURING THE DRIVE. WE HAVE 2 ISSUES. 1ST WAS IN JULY 2019, OUR POWER STEERING PUMP WENT OUT WITH ON 60,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND WE WERE TOLD THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE TRAVERSES. 2ND CONCERN IS IN SEPTEMBER 2019 OUR VEHICLE LOST ACCELERATION CAPABILITIES ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE DISPLAY SAID HAVE STABILITY CONTROL SERVICED. WE HAD TROUBLE MAKING IT HOME AND AFTER I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF FOR A FEW HOURS IT THEN RAN FINE. IT WAS LIKE A COMPUTER GLITCH ON THE HIGHWAY WHICH OCCURRED FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND WAS VERY UNSAFE. WE WERE DRIVING STRAIGHT 50 MPH ON A CLEAR NICE AFTERNOON AND SLOWED TO 25 WHEN IT HAPPENED AND IT WOULDN'T ACCELERATE PROPERLY.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,351.

HOW IS THERE NOT A RECALL? HOW MANY PEOPLE MUST DIE IN ACCIDENTS CAUSED BY ENGINE POWER LOSS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING?!

I NOTICED THERE WAS A RECALL ON SIMILAR YEAR MAKES/MODELS IN REGARDS TO BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURES. MY 2015 CHEVY TRAVERSE FREQUENTLY HAS BRAKING ISSUES RELATED TO THE RECALL. IT OFTEN ALWAYS HAS NOISE FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN DEPRESSED THAT SOUNDS LIKE AIR BEING EXPELLED FROM THE LINE. THIS HAPPENS AT MULTIPLE RATES OF SPEEDS IN MULTIPLE DRIVING CONDITIONS; INCLUDING SLOW CITY DRIVING, HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS, IN RAIN AND IN SNOW AS WELL AS DRY DAYS. MY CAR HAS NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AT ALL. MY WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID WILL NOT DISPERSE AS WELL WIPER ARM HAND WAS REPLACED LINES WERE CHECKED AND FLUID IN THE RESERVOIR AND STILL NO FLUID AVAILABLE WHICH AFFECTS VISIBILITY WHEN ANYTHING SPLASHING ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON SUDDENLY ONE DAY WHEN I STARTED UP MY CAR.

FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, "THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE, BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL, AND THEREFORE CHEVROLET, NOR GM WILL HAVE NO PART IN HELPING WITH REPAIRS AND/OR REPLACEMENTS". THE NOISE ACTUALLY STARTED AROUND 37000 MILES BUT THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS JUST MY IMAGINATION THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. NOW I DO SOME RESEARCH AND FIND IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH TRAVERSES AND THE DEALER STILL ACTS LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN IT HAPPEN BEFORE. I OPENED MY POWER LIFT GATE USING MY KEY FAB. AFTER PUTTING ITEMS IN THE BACK, I PUSHED THE CLOSE BUTTON LOCATED ON THE LIFT GATE. I THOUGHT I HAD LEFT MY KEYS LAYING INSIDE WITH THE ITEMS I HAD JUST PLACED IN THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. KNOWING THAT THE SENSORS WOULD READ THAT MY ARM WOULD BLOCK THE DOOR FROM CLOSING, I COULD RETRIEVE MY KEYS. AS IT CONTINUED TO CLOSE, I REALIZED THAT IT WAS NOT RECOGNIZING MY ARM. AS I TRIED TO PULL MY ARM AWAY FROM THE DOOR, IT CAUGHT MY THUMB AND CRUSHED IT. IT REMAINED CLOSED IN THE BACK HATCH UNTIL HELP ARRIVED TO OPEN IT WITH THE KEYS. I WENT TO MY DR AND RECEIVED XRAYS. I FRACTURED MY THUMB AND AM CURRENTLY RECEIVING PHYSICAL THERAPY TREATMENT. I AM CONSTANTLY IN PAIN. WHEN I CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS, I WAS BRUSHED OFF.

REPLACEMENT PARTS $1,254 AND REPLACEMENT PARTS ONLY GUARANTEED FOR 2 YEARS. GM NEEDS TO USE METAL PARTS THAT DON'T CORRODE, AS COIL IS LOCATED UNDER THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL. POOR ENGINEERING AS IT WILL GET LOTS OF CORROSIVE SPRAY WITH NO WAY TO CLEAN IT AS IT IS SURROUNDED BY A METAL PLATE WITH SMALL HOLES. THIS PART SHOULD BE ENCLOSED SOMEHOW AWAY FROM CORROSIVE ROAD SPRAY. I THINK A RECALL IS IN ORDER, AND REIMBURSEMENT FROM GM TO ME BECAUSE OF POOR ENGINEERING DESIGN.

THE FOLLOWING DAY I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE POWER STEERING PUMP WAS LEAKING AND SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY. UNFORTUNATELY THE DEALER TOLD ME IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND I HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED. I PAID FOR THE REPAIR AND NOW JUST A FEW WEEKS LATER THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING. I HAVE THE VEHICLE SCHEDULED TO GO INTO THE SHOP AGAIN ON MONDAY.

THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE ONCE WHILE DRIVING (STRAIGHT ON 25MPH ROAD) ONCE-MOST RECENT- WHILE IDLING AT A STOP LIGHT. AFTER FIRST TIME, HAD VEHICLE SERVICED AND HAD A PURGE VALVE REPLACED PER COMPUTER ERROR CODE. VEHICLE IS AWAITING SERVICE AGAIN. TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE, SHUT OFF IS REQUIRED (TWO TIMES) BUT ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 36,000 MILES. WEATHER WAS FAIR BOTH DAYS-OVERCAST, BUT ROADS WERE DRY. VEHICLE HAS BEEN SUBJECT TO A VERY WET SUMMER, PREVIOUSLY A WINTER WITH A LOT OF SALT AND ANTI-SKID TREATMENTS. VEHICLE DOES NOT TRAVEL MUCH OTHER THAN TO MY CHILD'S SCHOOL AND BASIC ERRANDS. ONLY IN MY POSSESSION 2 YEARS AS OF JULY.

I JUST BOUGHT MY 2015 TRAVERSE A WEEK AGO AND NOTICED THAT THE TIRES HAVE LARGE CRACKS IN THEM, MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 34,000 MILES ON IT AND THE TIRES ARE THE ONES PUT ON FROM THE FACTORY, I'VE LOOKED FOR RECALLS, AND THERE IS ONE OUT FOR THE TIRES, BUT NOT FOR MY SPECIFIC VIN. THE TIRES ARE DOING THE EXACT SAME WAY AS THE RECALL.
I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE A LITTLE OVER 38 MONTHS. THE PROBLEM BEGAN ON 6-13-2018 WHILE I WAS STOPPED AT THE END OF MY DRIVEWAY. WHEN I SHIFTED OUT OF PARK THERE WERE CLICKING NOISES IN THE DASH. THIS HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WHO STATED IT WAS A SOLENOID THAT NEEDED REPLACING IN THE DASH. IT WAS REPLACED, BUT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THERE ARE TWO OF THESE SOLENOIDS SO THEY ORDERED THE OTHER ONE AND THAT WASN'T THE PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THE "HOUSING" FOR ONE OF THESE SOLENOIDS NEEDED REPLACING. THEY HAD TWO OTHER 2015 TRAVERSES AND BOTH OF THEM HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THE MECHANICS HAD NEVER HAD THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM BEFORE. I THINK THAT THE OWNERS OF THE OTHER TWO VEHICLES NEVER PAID ATTENTION TO THIS NOISE AND/OR THOUGHT IT WAS NORMAL. MY POINT IS THAT THIS SHOULD BE RESEARCHED TO SEE IF THESE SOLENOIDS/HOUSINGS ARE FAULTY. IF ONE FAILS THEN YOU CAN'T GET OUT OF PARK TO SHIFT. IF THEY ARE FAULTY, THEN WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION.

I HAD THE CAR IMMEDIATELY TOWED TO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP SO THEY CAN ASSESS THE ISSUE AND I DID NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING STARTING IT UP AND DRIVING AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 83298884002 AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO FOLLOW-UP WITH THE BBB. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,870.
THIS COMPLAINT INVOLVES THE BRITAX B SAFE 35 ELITE INFANT CAR SEAT AND THE RED RELEASE BUTTON FOUND ON TOP OF THE SEAT WHERE AN INFANT'S FEET/LEGS REST. MY DAUGHTER JUST TURNED 1 A FEW WEEKS AGO AND IS ABLE TO RELEASE THE STRAPS IN THIS CAR SEAT HERSELF. SHE RESTS HER FEET ON THE RED BUTTON AND WITH THE ROAD MOVEMENT OF THE CAR AND HER WIGGLING AROUND, SHE IS ABLE TO LOOSEN THE SEAT ENOUGH TO GET HER ARM OUT OF THE STRAP. IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH FORCE WHATSOEVER TO PUSH DOWN ON THE BUTTON TO CAUSE THE STRAPS TO LOOSEN. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME SHE HAS LOOSENED HERSELF FROM THIS SEAT. THE BUTTON IS FULLY EXPOSED WITH NO COVERING IN AN AREA THAT CHILDREN REST THEIR FEET. AFTER VISITING SEVERAL CAR SEAT RETAILERS, I NOTED THAT BRITAX B SAFE INFANT SEAT WAS THE ONLY CAR SEAT THAT DID NOT HAVE A COVERING OVER THE RELEASE BUTTON. I HAVE PHOTOS OF THOSE CAR SEATS IF NEEDED. EVEN BRITAX'S OWN CONVERTIBLE SEATS AT LEAST HAVE A LIP OVER THE BUTTON TO PREVENT CHILDREN FROM RELEASING IT. EVERY SINGLE CAR SEAT I CAME ACROSS EITHER HAD THE RELEASE BUTTON UNDER THE PADDING, HAD A PLASTIC LIP THAT EXTENDED OVER THE BUTTON, OR WAS POSITIONED IN A WAY THAT A CHILD COULD NOT RELEASE IT (MUCH LESS AN INFANT). THIS CLEARLY SEEMS TO BE A DESIGN AND SAFETY FEATURE THAT WAS OVERLOOKED BY BRITAX. BRITAX CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME MY DAUGHTER WAS TOO TALL FOR THE SEAT YET SHE FALLS UNDER THE HEIGHT AND WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS OF 32 INCHES AND/OR 35 LBS. THIS IS MY 4TH BRITAX CAR SEAT PURCHASE AND I HAVE BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THEIR BRAND UP UNTIL NOW. I RECENTLY NOTED SEVERE DRY ROT OR CRACKING IN THE TIRE TREAD. THE CAR IS LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD AND HAS 22K MILES. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE (PREMATURE TREAD CRACKING) FOR THE SPECIFIC OE TIRE MODEL AND SIZE THAT MY VEHICLE HAS. ON SEPT. 17 2016, WHILE DRIVING ALONG THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH, THE CAR'S ENGINE SLOWED DRAMATICALLY AND STABILITY TRACK, TRACTION CONTROL, AND SLOW ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS BEGAN TO FLASH. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I MANAGED TO GET THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE AND TURNED IT OFF. I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE IMMEDIATELY AND THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME TO TURN OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL. THERE WAS A PUNGENT SMELL ALL INSIDE THE CAR OF GAS AND OTHER FUMES, BUT I DID NOT SEE ANY FLUIDS LEAKING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME TO START THE CAR WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL OFF. I ROLLED DOWN ALL OF THE WINDOWS TO LESSEN THE ODOR. THE CAR STARTED AS USUAL AND I STARTED BACK DOWN THE HIGHWAY. WITHIN 3 MILES THE CAR STOPPED AGAIN, THE SAME WARNING LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING. I HAD LOST SEVERAL GALLONS OF FUEL IN 3 MILES. I GOT THE CAR TO A PARKING LOT OFF THE INTERSTATE AND IT DIED AND WOULD NOT TURN BACK OVER. WHEN I TRIED TO GET IT TO START, THE IGNITION GOT STUCK AND WOULD NOT STOP TRYING TO TURN OVER. THE CAR WAS LOSING FUEL AND WOULD NOT RUN AT ALL. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A FUEL PUMP ISSUE AND THEY REPLACED THE PART SEVERAL DAYS LATER. ON NOV. 11, 2016, AS I DROVE TO WORK THIS MORNING, I WAS AT A RED LIGHT AND WHEN I PUSHED THE ACCELERATOR AND NOTHING HAPPENED. THE CAR BEGAN FLASHING THE EXACT SAME WARNING CODES AS IN SEPT. THE CAR WOULD GO ABOUT 5-10 MPH AND I WAS STRANDED IN A 6 LANE INTERSECTION. I TURNED OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL AND MANAGED TO GET THE CAR INTO A PARKING LOT, ONCE AGAIN. I AM VERY LUCKY THAT I HAVE NOT HAD A SEVERE ACCIDENT WHEN THIS HAS OCCURRED. SOMEONE IS EVENTUALLY GOING TO GET SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED WHEN THIS HAPPENS. DRIVING MY 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE ON AN EXPRESSWAY AT 65 TO 70 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SLOW DOWN EVEN WHEN PRESSING ON THE ACCELERATOR. THE SPEED CONTINUED DECREASING WHEN WE NOTICED THAT THE RADIO HAD ALSO SHUT DOWN. FORTUNATELY WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE OUR WAY TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE WITHOUT ANY MISHAP. THAT'S WHEN WE NOTICE THE ENGINE WAS ALSO COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. WE WERE FORTUNATE THAT WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. WE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM AND WAS PUZZLED THAT THEY WERE NOT TOO CONCERNED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. MY WIFE IS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE NOTICED THAT COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN REPORTING A SIMILAR PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A LOANER IN THE MEANTIME. I WAS TOLD THAT MOST LIKELY THEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIND ANY PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. THIS IS NOT MUCH CONSOLATION, TO US WHEN WE WILL BE RETURNING TO FLORIDA IN THE NEAR FUTURE AND WONDER WHETHER THIS PROBLEM WILL OCCUR AGAIN WHEN WE ARE ON EXPRESSWAYS WITH FIVE TO SIX LANES, ALL GOING 70 MPH OR MORE AND WITH LITTLE ROOM TO GET OUT OF THE WAY TO SAFETY. LOOKING AT OTHER SIMILAR ISSUES, WHAT IS MENTIONED AS THE PROBLEM COULD BE THE SWITCH, THE BATTERY OR THE ALTERNATOR, OR WIRING TO ALL THESE COMPONENTS. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS ISSUE CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED AND REMEDIED IMMEDIATELY BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT.
MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING OUR 2015 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE ON THE INTERSTATE TRAVELING AT 80MPH. WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR THE ACCELERATOR STAYED IN THE DOWN POSITION AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE. WE WERE UP TO 90 MPH. I PUT MY FEET ON THE BRAKES AND WAS ABLE TO SLOW THE VEHICLE TO 70MPH. THE ACCELERATOR WAS STILL STUCK IN THE FLOORED POSITION AND FIGHTING THE BRAKES. I WAS ABLE TO MANIPULATE MY FOOT BEHIND THE ACCELERATOR AND AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO PULL THE ACCELERATOR UP IT RELEASED. THERE WAS A LOUD CLUNK AND WE WERE ABLE TO PULL THE CAR OFF THE INTERSTATE. WHEN THE CAR WAS PLACED IN PARK, ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS WENT ON AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WOULD NO LONGER START. CHEVROLET TOWED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THE ACCELERATOR SENSOR AND MODULE WENT 'BAD' PER THE DEALER. THE SENSOR MALFUNCTION CAUSED THE ACCELERATOR TO STICK PER THE DEALERSHIP.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH ON SECONDARY ROADWAY AND THE CAR SUDDENLY DECELERATED WITH THE DASH CLUSTER INDICATING THAT THE STABILTRAK SYSTEM WAS OFF AND ENGINE POWER REDUCED. OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS IN THE MID 30'S AND THERE WAS PRECIPITATION ON THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 25MPH. THIS HAPPENED AFTER A LONG HIGHWAY RUN FROM NYC TO CLEVELAND. I WAS LUCKY I WAS NOT DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DEALERSHIP IN A COUPLE OF DAYS BUT I SEE SIMILAR POSTS AND I'M NOT SURE THIS CAR IS SAFE.
TAKATA RECALL, THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON AS SERVICE AIR BAG IN MY INSTRUMENT PANEL. SO NOW I HAVE TO PAY TO SERVICE MY AIR BAG BECAUSE I HAVE PASSED THE 30K BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT AN AIRBAG NOT DEPLOYING OR DEPLOYING AT THE WRONG TIME. PLEASE ENACT LAWS THAT PROHIBIT REVERSE LIGHTS FROM ILLUMINATING WHEN THE VEHICLE IS NOT IN REVERSE! THE REVERSE LIGHTS ARE TO LET OTHER DRIVERS AND PEDESTRIANS KNOW THAT THE CAR IS IN THE REVERSE GEAR AND MAY BACK UP. IT FREQUENTLY WILL NOT START FOLLOWING MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS AT TURNING THE IGNITION KEY, AND HAS ACTUALLY STALLED IN MOVING TRAFFIC WHILE MY WIFE AND CHILD WERE DRIVING, A CLEAR SAFETY ISSUE. DEALERSHIP HAS TWICE HAD VEHICLE FOR 4-5 DAYS AND INDICATED NO TROUBLE FOUND BOTH TIMES. DEALERSHIP HAS PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE IN CONTACTING GM (JOE LUNGHAMER CHEVROLET, WATERFORD MI). WE HAVE VIDEO OF PARKED VEHICLE NOT TURNING OVER IN GARAGE FOLLOWING MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS AT TURNING THE IGNITION, WHICH WOULD APPEAR TO BE AN IGNITION SWITCH OR ELECTRICAL DEFECT. IN 1 MONTH 4 INCIDENTS THAT I LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING, 3XS ON MAIN STREET, ONCE ON HIGHWAY. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED FOR A MOMENT THEN SHUT OFF. DURING THE LAST 2XS VEHICLE WAS SHAKING. DURING THE 3X, STABILITRAK LIGHTS CAME ON. ALL TIMES, I PULLED OVER (THANKFULLY NO ACCIDENT), SHUT CAR OFF THEN RESTART. UPON 3X DEALERSHIP REPLACED PLUGS AND COILS, THEN HAD 4TH INCIDENT. DEALERSHIP SAYS NO CODES AND CANNOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. CAR IS GOING BACK IN TODAY FOR ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTICS. VEHICLE IS LEASED AND JUST GOT TO 1 YEAR AND 12K MILES (130 MILES DEALER PUT ON TRYING TO RECREATE PROBLEM). THIS IS BEYOND DANGEROUS.
I HAVE A 2015 CHEVY TRAVERSE WITH 13,000 MILES. I WAS IN A NEIGHBORHOOD AFTER REVERSING OUT OF THE PARKING SPOT AND DRIVING DOWN A SHORT STEEP HILL. I WANTED TO TURN AND TRIED TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT IT WAS NOT IN THE PROPER LOCATION. I GLIDED, PUT IN NEUTRAL AND PRESSED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP. IT WAS AT NIGHT AND I DID NOT SEE THE LOCATION OF THE BRAKE PEDAL OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS WHERE IT SHOULD BE. I PUT IN PARK AND TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND THE BRAKE PEDAL APPEARED TO BE IN THE CORRECT POSITION AND WORKING. I HAD CHEVY CHECK IT OUT AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I DON'T KNOW IF THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS STUCK TO THE FLOOR AND IF I HAD PRESSED IT IF IT WOULD HAVE WORKED. IT SEEMS TO HAVE AN AIR LEAK SOUND SOMETIMES WHEN DEPRESSING BRAKE AND THEY JUST SAID IT WAS NORMAL THOUGH I DON'T RECALL HEARING THAT FOR 13,000 MILES BEFORE. ABOUT THE LURCHING, SHE SAID IT WAS LIKE THE CAR WAS TRYING TO BRAKE TO A STOP. SHE HAD A WHOLE DASHBOARD FULL OF LIGHTS, AND SHE SAW A STATUS MESSAGE IN PLACE OF THE ODOMETER THAT SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THE TRACTION CONTROL TURNING OFF. SHE WAS IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE WITHOUT ANY SHOULDERS, AND COULDN'T IMMEDIATELY GET OFF THE ROAD, BUT THE ENGINE POWER RETURNED, SO SHE TOOK THE FIRST FREEWAY EXIT AND WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR. AFTER SHE RESTARTED THE CAR, IT SEEMED TO BE NORMAL, SO SHE DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IT IS WORKING PROPERLY NOW, SO THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING.
WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC SIGNAL, WITHOUT WARNING THE LIGHTS IN THE DASH, WENT OUT. THE LIGHTS IN THE CENTER DAS CONSOLE (FOR RADIO, ETC) WNET OUT. ALL INTERIOR LIUGHT WERE OUT. THIS LASTED FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MINUTES. I COULD NOT SIGNAL TO TURN, I DID NOT HAVE ANY WAY TO DETERMINE MY VEHICLE SPEED OR ANYTHING ABOUT THE OPERATING SYSTEM OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER ABOUT THREE MINUTES ALL LIGHT CAME BACK ON. THIS HAS HAPPENDED TWICE IN A PERIOD OF APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS SINCE I LEASED THE VEHICLE ON 07/25/2015.

I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE. FORTUNATELY NO CARS HIT ME. I ROLLED INTO A SMALL DITCH AND STOPPED. IF I STEPPED ON THE GAS, NOTHING REALLY HAPPENED. I SHUT CAR OFF AND LOOKED IN OWNERS MANUAL WHERE IT SAID TO START CAR UP AGAIN. I DID AND THEN IT WORKED. I DROVE TO CAR DEALER NEXT DAY AND THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING ON AS I GOT OUT OF MY CAR THEY SAID THEY WOULD GIVE ME A LOANER, WHICH I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING. MTHE SAID IT WAS A TRANSMISSION SENSOR OR SWITCH THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE. OBVIOUSLY, GMMKNOWS ABOUT THIS. THIS COULD HVE BEEN A FATAL ACCIDENT, EASILY. THIS IS A CRIME IN THAT MY DEALER SOLD ME THIS CAR WITHOUT DISCLOSING A KNOWN PROBLEM TO ME. THESE CARS ARE NOT SAFE AND I WILL TRY TO TRADE IT IN ASAP FOR SOMETHING LESS HAZARDOUS. AGAIN, THIS IS A CRIMINAL ACT THAT GM IS DOING BY CONTINUING TO SELL THESE CARS. IF NO ONE HAS DIED YET, THEY WILL SOON. VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM.
ONE OF THE TIRES ON MY NEW CHEVY TRAVERSE WENT FLAT AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE TIRE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED BECAUSE IT WASN'T A PUNCTURE HOLE. I WAS TOLD IT WAS MORE OF A TEAR AND WHEN I LOOKED AT THE TIRE THE SPLIT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS A CONTINUATION FROM THE PART OF THE TIRE THAT HAS THE TREAD LINE. I FIND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS TIRE AND EVEN THOUGH MY TIRE WAS MANUFACTURED A FEW MONTHS PAST THE RECALL DATE (13TH WEEK, 2015 YEAR), MY VEHICLE IS FROM THE SAME PLANT AND THE TIRE SIZE IS THE EXACT TIRE--GOODYEAR FORTERA P255/65R18 109S. I DO HAVE THE TIRE IN QUESTION AT MY HOUSE AND CAN TAKE PICTURES IF YOU NEED THEM. I WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ISSUE WHEN I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR AND ASKED HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN WITH BRAND NEW TIRES AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TIRE(S). I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AFTER READING THE RECALL NOTICE BECAUSE I DRIVE ON A LOT OF SECONDARY HIGHWAYS THAT ARE VERY ISOLATED AND I DO NOT WANT TO BECOME STRANDING. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I HAVE A CASE IN REGARDS TO THIS MATTER. THANK YOU.
WHEN MAKING A SHARP LEFT TURN IN A PARKING LOT THE CAR STARTED TO ROLL BACKWARDS DOWN A SLOPE. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE ENGINE WAS NO LONGER RUNNING. PLACED FOOT ON BRAKE TO STOP VEHICLE FROM ROLLING BACK WARDS AND PUT TRANSMISSION INTO PARK. PUT TRANSMISSION BACK INTO DRIVE AND FOUND THAT CAR WAS DEAD. PUT INTO PARK TURNED KEY TO OFF WAITED A SECOND AND TURNED KEY TO START ENGINE AND IT RESTARTED. *TR

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Buick Enclave vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 14, 2015, 2015 Chevrolet Traverse vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 20, 2015, and 2015 GMC Acadia vehicles manufactured December 9, 2014, to January 16, 2015, and all equipped with Goodyear P255/65R18 Fortera HL tires. These vehicles are equipped with tires that may experience tread cracking. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, "Tire Selection and Rims and Motor Home/Recreation Vehicle Trailer Load Carrying Capacity Information for Motor Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) or Less."
