When I’m driving I started to hear the gear shifter sound like it’s moving inbetween drive or maybe out of drive I’m not really sure. Then after that happens when I stop driving and turn the car off the car won’t release the key from the ignition. I have to wait for it to lock itself into park and then the key will release.
Component premature failure. 1. Purge valve replaced at 61,048 miles 2. Coolant flange and seal replaced at 61,511 miles 3. P0299 indicates problem with turbo charger compromised boost power, - injector control pressure sensor - EGR - MAP - Accelerator pedal Input I have to pay a expensive diagnostic from the dealer to find out the issue, it’s too expensive to do that now after Covid-19 money is scarce.
While stopped and ready to move forward when I press the accelerator the car jerks only from stop to go forward it hesitates. It has the same transmission symptoms as other car I had. I’m very concerned about this issue because a transmission it’s very expensive and can’t afford to fix it due to Covid-19 have no money. Considering how much the dealers charge for a diagnostic it’s ridiculously expensive just to check a problem they already know that exists. Please help.
#1 - Safety Issue of the Passenger Rear Door's Lock will not lock/unlock (button will not go up and down) to be able to get in or out of car from the back seat - the 'motor'? can be heard engaging when either the door lock/unlock button is pressed or the key fob is pressed to lock/unlock - but the button is stuck in a position that you cannot pull it up to get in or out of the car. ------ #2 - Safety Issue of the Back Seat Safety Belts near door continues to twist within an area that cannot easily be gotten to, causing the Safety Belt to not be able to be pulled out or retract - making them unable to be used, as they are jammed and cannot fit around a person to lock into the clasp to hold them into the back seat. Safety Issue of the Passenger Rear Door's Lock will not lock/unlock (button will not go up and down) to be able to get in or out of car from the back seat - the 'motor'? can be heard engaging when either the door lock/unlock button is pressed or the key fob is pressed to lock/unlock - but the button is stuck in a position that you cannot pull it up to get in or out of the car. Both incidents occurred after Purchase in November, 2020 at First City Used Auto, Gonic NH and they would not claim responsibility to fix, despite both issues being Safety Issues/Defects of Car.
WITH ONLY 62,000 MILES THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL HAS A CRACK IN THE SIDE OF THE CASING. THIS ISSUE LEADS TO THE COMPLETE DRAINAGE OF THE DIFFERENTIAL FLUID. THIS IS AN ISSUE IN MULTIPLE CHEVY TRAX MODELS. IT HAS POTENTIAL TO SEIZE THE DIFFERENTIAL AND CAUSE A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE WAS FOUND WHILE DRIVING AND A LOUD NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL.
MY KEY WILL NOT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION WHEN PUT IN PARK AND TRYING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 CHEVY TRAX, THE TRANSMISSION GOT STUCK IN THIRD GEAR. I SWITCHED TO MANUAL AND IT STILL WOULDN'T MOVE OUT OF THIRD GEAR. IN ORDER TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD, I HAD TO DRIVE IT TO A SAFE PLACE. SITTING AT A RED LIGHT IN DRIVE, I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BREAK AND THE CAR DIDN'T INCH FORWARD LIKE NORMAL. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WAS ON SO WAS THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT. THERE IS ONLY 80,000 MILES ON THE CAR. THE RECOMMENDED MILEAGE TO SERVICE IS 100,000 MILES ON THIS VEHICLE.
EXPERIENCED SEVERE MECHANICAL ISSUES, SUCH AS THE ENGINE OVERHEATING, TEMPERATURE GAUGE BREAKING, COOLANT SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONING, BATTERY HAVING TO BE REPLACE TWICE, BRAKES OVERHEATING, BRAKES UNABLE TO COME TO A FULL STOP, BRAKES SQUEAKING, VEHICLE SQUEAKING WHEN BACKING UP, THROTTLE JUMPING, AND THE STABILITY TRACK ALSO BREAKING
THE CAR IS SPUDDERING WHEN I DRIVE AND, ITS REALLY UNSAFE. WHEN I TRY TO DRIVE IT BASICALLY SKIPS WHEN I TRY TO DRIVE.
MY CAR IS LITERALLY SPUDDERING TECHNICALLY SKIPPING THEN, JERKING BACK. IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD ALREADY ALMOST HIT A COUPLE CARS BECAUSE, ITS JERKING I NEED HELP TRYING TO GET MY CAR CHANGED OUT. THIS IS A HUGE DEFECT ON THE CAR. PLEASE HELPP
THE CAR JUMPED THE CURB WHEN I WAS MAKING A LEDR HAND TURN. TOOK IT FOR INSPECTION RECENTLY AND IT FAILED DUE TO FAULTY CONTROL ARMS.THE FRONT END OF THE CAR BOUNCES AND RIDES ROUGH WHEN IT HITS A BUMP
I BOUGHT A USED 2015 CHEVY TRAX IN NOV 2019. ONE OIL CHANGE INTO MY TRAX IN FEB 2020 THE PAINT STARTED BUBBLING AND COMING OFF IN THE SNOW IN MY DRIVEWAY SITTING! THEN MORE STARTED COMING OFF. I NOW HAVE 2 SPOTS ON THE BACK HATCH AND BOTH SIDES OF THE HOOD. I LIVE IN WI. THE DEALERSHIP WOULD PAY1/2 OF THE TOUCH UP OR I COULD TRADE IT IN AND THEN HAVE A VEHICLE PAYMENT. I PAID ALMOST 13,000. FOR IT. BECAUSE THE COVID 19 STRUCK I HAD TO WAIT CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO APPARENTLY LOOSE 1/2 OF WHAT I PAID FOR IT! DEALERSHIP OFFERED ME 6THOUSAND! I CONTACTED GM AND WAS TOLD AFTER SOME PHONE CALLS THAT GM WOULD PAY FOR IT...THEN MY CASE WAS GIVEN TO SOMEONE ELSE AND THE OFFER WAS TAKEN BACK.
I HAVE HAD TO TAKE MY VEHICLE IN SEVERAL TIMES FOR REPAIR I AM THE FIRST OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE AND IT ONLY HAS 87,000 MILES ON IT. AT 87,000 MILES I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE VALVE COVER REPLACED FOR LEAKING. I HAVE ALSO HAD TO HAVE AN OIL PAN LEAK REPLACED. AN OIL PAN PIN GASKET REPLACED. AND NOW MY SEAT BELT INDICATOR LIGHT IS NOT MAKING NOISE WHEN THE SEATBELT IS NOT BUCKLED IN. I HAVE TRIED TO DRIVE WITHOUT A SEATBELT ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS TO SEE IF THE LIGHT WOULD MAKE NOISE AND IT DOES NOT THE LIGHT IS ON ON THE DASHBOARD BUT NO NOISE IS MADE TO INDICATE THAT THE SEAT BELT IS NOT ON.
WHEN EVER YOU RESET THE DATE & TIME ON THE CAR IT ONLY STAYS CORRECT DURING THE TIME YOU ARE IN THE CAR TRAVELING. ONCE YOU TURN THE CAR OFF & TURN IT BACK ON, THE TIME HAS CHANGED & SOMETIMES THE DATE.
THE LOWER CONTROL ARM IS VERY LOOSE. WHEN WE ACCELERATE TO LOW SPEEDS (20-25MPH) WE HEAR A LOUD THUMPING NOISE THAT EVENTUALLY STOPS WHEN WE GET TO HIGHER SPEEDS. SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO LET UP OFF THE THROTTLE TO MAKE IT STOP AND THEN REACCELERATE. WE LOOKED UNDERNEATH FOR THE PROBLEM AND WE CAN PHYSICALLY SHAKE THE LOWER CONTROL ARM.
MY CAR STARTED TO OVERHEAT. I NOTICED THE RADIATOR CAP WOULD NOT CLOSE ANYMORE. I HAD TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR CAP. CAR KEPT OVERHEATING, TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP AND IT TURNED OUT I HAD TO REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT, WATER OUTLET HOUSING, AND WATER PUMP.
CAR AIR CONDITIONER STARTED TO BLOW HOT AIR. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE A MULTI-POINT INSPECTION. FOUND REFRIGERANT TO BE LOW, UPON FURTHER INSPECTION HVAC DYE ON COMPRESSOR. WAS TOLD THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR NEEDS TO BE CHANGED OUT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HER DAUGHTER WHO WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT AND GOT TO A DETOUR, AND MADE A TURN, DRIVING DOWN HILL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BASED ON THE POLICE REPORT, THE DRIVER STOPPED, ATTEMPTING TO AVOID DRIVING OFF THE ROAD, SHE TRIED TO PULL THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, IT APPEARED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT TURN TO THE INTENDED DIRECTION AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CRASH INTO A TREE, RESULTING IN A FATALITY. THE DRIVER, A 26-YEAR-OLD, WAS THROWN OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER HER AND INTO AN OPEN FIELD. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO KNOWN WARNING INDICATORS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT WAS TWISTED AND UNLATCHED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED TO A POLICE IMPOUND LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TOWED AWAY BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V652000 (SUSPENSION). THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO TOOK HER INFORMATION AND STATED THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL BACK. THE CONTACT WAS CALLED BACK BUT WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CALLED BACK. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 62,000.
THE REAR SEAT BELTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE THEY HAVE FAILED TO RETRACT. THE VEHICLE HAS A LITTLE OVER 50,000 MILES.
MY WIFE AND I OWN A 2015 CHEVY TRAX, ONE OF MY RELATIVES OWNS A 2017 CHEVY TRAX. THE WIFE AND I ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE THAT MY RELATIVE WAS WITH THE FRONT END NAMELY THE LOWER CONTROL ARM AND GM SAYS THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT.
I HAVE BEEN SENT A PRETTY EGREGIOUS RECALL BY GM. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THEY HAD TO ORDER THE PART. IT'S BEEN A MONTH. WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY SAID THE PART WAS NOT IN. MEANWHILE, MY FRIEND HAD HER RECALL FIXED THERE. THIS IS REGARDING A JOINT IN ONE OR BOTH FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS THAT CAN SEPARATE YOUR TIRES FROM THE VEHICLE. PRETTY SCARY, BUT I AM GETTING NOWHERE WITH THE CHEVROLET PEOPLE. I CALL EVERY DAY. HOW CAN YOU HELP ME ?
NOTICED COOLANT RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY. PUT IT IN THE SHOP AND IT IS THE TURBO THAT CHEVY MANUFACTURES WITH THE ENGINE. IT IS LEAKING. THE VEHICLE IS ONLY A 2015 WITH 34,000 MILES, THE TURBO SHOULD NOT BE LEAKING ALREADY. IT DOES NEED TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE GOTTEN ALL THE MAINTENANCE DONE.
RELAY SYSTEM- TRUCK RELAY WENT OUT MULTIPLE TIMES, UNABLE TO OPEN TRUNK. WHEN REPLACED CAUSED ALL RELAYS INCLUDING (AIRBAG, HEADLIGHTS, DASH BOARD, AND TRUNK RELAYS) TO NO LONGER WORK. HAVE HAD MECHANIC REPROGRAM SYSTEM BUT NO LONGER WORKS.
WHEN DRIVING DOWN TO ROAD I FEEL LIKE I'M SIFTING IN THE OTHER PERSON LANE.I HAVE HAD IT LOOKED THEY SAY IT NOT MY TIRES.PEOPE BLOW WHEN I GET OVER IT SAME LIKE I'M GOING RUN OFF THE ROAD.
ONE DAY WHEN I STARTED UP MY CAR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, BUT GAVE ME NO FURTHER INFORMATION ON THE ISSUE. I DON'T SEE WHY THE WHOLE PART NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ESPECIALLY SINCE NOTHING HAS PROMPTED THIS ISSUE. I OPTED OUT OF THE REPLACEMENT THAT WOULD HAVE COSTED ME $1000 AND CHANGE SINCE THE CAR WORKS JUST FINE, BUT NOW I DRIVE IN FEAR THAT IT WILL DIE ON ME FOR AN ISSUE THE DEALER HAD NO DETAILS ON. I HOPE THIS WILL OPEN AN INVESTIGATION ON THE VEHICLE TO TRY AND FOUND OUT WHY EXACTLY MY CAR IS EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE WHEN IT HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF SINCE I DROVE IT OFF THE LOT.
NO BRAKES WHEN DRIVING HOME FROM WORK. PEDAL PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. PUMPING BRAKES MADE NO DIFFERENCE. THANKFULLY WAS ON A LESS TRAVELED COUNTRY ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO LIMP THE VEHICLE HOME USING PARKING BRAKE. BRAKE FLUID LEVEL CHECKED FINE AND THERE WAS NO BRAKE FLUID LEAKING AROUND ANY WHEEL OR UNDER CAR SO IT WAS NOT A BROKEN BRAKE LINE OR SEAL. VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP DETERMINED "BRAKE VACUUM SWITCH" WAS BAD AND REPLACED. CLAIMED THIS WAS NOT A *WARRANTY* COVERED PART AND WAS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.
STARTED 2015 CHEVY TRAX IN DRIVEWAY AND IT STARTED IDLING VERY ROUGH. CAR WAS WORKING FINE THE PREVIOUS DAY AND HAD NOT BEEN STARTED / DRIVEN SINCE. LEFT FOR WORK AND CAR WAS JERKING, LOOSING POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. TURNED AROUND AND RETURNED TO HOUSE SO DAD COULD LOOK AT IT AND SISTER DROVE ME TO WORK IN HER CAR. DAD'S COMMENTS: DROVE CAR TO ADVANCED AUTO PARTS, APPROX. 2 MILES, WHERE THEY CHECKED THE BATTERY, STARTER AND ALTERNATOR. BATTERY / STARTER CHECKED OK, ALTERNATOR CHECKED OUT AS BAD. *ATTEMPTED* TO DRIVE BACK HOME AND EXPERIENCED SAME PROBLEMS AS DAUGHTER. CAR WAS IDLING ROUGH, WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. PULLED OFF THE ROAD, SHUT OFF CAR, WAITED A FEW MOMENTS AND RESTARTED. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED SOLIDLY ON. TURNED ONTO MAIN HIGHWAY AND WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. CAR STARTED SHAKING AND SMELL OF BURNING OIL WAS PRESENT. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS "FLASHING" SINCE I WAS 1/4 MILE OR LESS FROM THE HOUSE, I WAS ABLE TO LIMP THE CAR HOME AND CALLED DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND IS CURRENTLY SITTING AT MCCLUSKY CHEVROLET IN KINGS AUTO MALL, WHICH IS WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED USED IN JAN 2019. ONSTAR SENT 4 MESSAGES: ONE WAS SERVICE INTERLOCK BRAKING SYSTEM, TWO WERE REGARDING THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM AND ONE WAS FOR THE EXHAUST EMISSIONS SYSTEM. NOTE: THIS IS THE 5TH TIME THE CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN IN FOR MAJOR REPAIRS SINCE JANUARY 2019 (WHEN PURCHASED) AND THE 2ND TIME IN 2 MONTHS IT HAD TO BE TOWED IN. LAST TIME WAS JUL 29, 2019 FOR FAILING BRAKES. OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THESE EXACT SAME ISSUES HERE ON THE NHTSA.GOV SITE SO THERE ARE OBVIOUSLY ISSUES WITH THE 2015 CHEVY TRAX THAT GM IS NOT ADDRESSING.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 CHEV TRAX AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE STARTED IDLING VERY ROUGH AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE. WHEN I WOULD PUSH ON THE ACCELERATOR IT WOULD GO DOWN BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT SPEED UP. I TOOK THE VEHICLE HOME AND THE NEXT DAY I TOOK IT TO AN AUTO REPAIR PLACE WHERE THE MECHANIC SAID THAT THERE WERE MULTIPLE MISCODES FIRING AND THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS FLASHING.
WHILE DRIVING 40MPH VEHICLE SEEMED TO SHIFT GEARS WHILE IN DRIVE GEAR. WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, VEHICLE WOULD NOT STEER (STEERING WHEEL LOCKED) AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO TURN. VEHICLE BEHAVED AS IF IT WAS IN PARKED GEAR, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS IN DRIVE GEAR AND IN MOTION. WHILE TRYING TO STOP, I WAS UNABLE TO STEER, BUT WAS ABLE TO RUN OFF THE ROAD INTO A PARKING LOT. ONCE STOPPED, MOVING GEAR SHIFTER DID NOT SEEM TO SWITCH GEARS. I TRIED PUTTING THE GEAR SHIFTER IN PARK, OR REVERSE AND NOTHING HAPPENED. VEHICLE WOULD NOT LET ME TURN THE WHEELS AND WOULD NOT GO FORWARD OR REVERSE. ERROR LIGHTS ILLUMINATED WERE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR, STABILITRACK, PARK, AND POWER STEERING LIGHT. CHEVROLET INFORMED OF ISSUE. CHEVROLET REFUSED TO FIX VEHICLE. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 40,510 MILES. CHEVROLET REFUSES TO ADMIT IT HAS A PROBLEM WITH TRANSMISSIONS OR POWER STEERING IN THESE VEHICLES. I AM LUCKY I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT INTO A PARKING LOT AND NOT RUN INTO ANYONE OR ANYTHING. *AS THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM WAS THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE WHICH WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW PART. *TR
THE VEHICLE WILL STALL WHILE DRIVING AND NOT TURN BACK ON UNLESS THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK AND THE KEY IS TAKEN OUT AND PUT BACK IN. THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD AS IT HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO CRASH MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 CHEV TRAX AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE STARTED IDLING VERY ROUGH AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELARATE. WHEN I WOULD PUSH ON THE ACCELARATOR IT WOULD GO DOWN BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT SPEED UP. I TOOK THE VEHICLE HOME AND THE NEXT DAY I TOOK IT TO AN AUTO REPAIR PLACE WHERE THE MECHANIC SAID THAT THERE WERE MULTIPLE MISCODES FIRING AND THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS FLASHING. THEY ADVISED THAT I IMMEDIATELY TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND ON THE WAY THERE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE DIED. I SAT FOR A MINUTE AND RESTARTED AND DROVE IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP. THE SERVICE PERSON SAID I SHOULD HAVE TURNED IT OFF AND HAD IT TOWED BUT I WAS CLOSE TO THE DEALERSHIP. ONSTAR SENT ME 3 MESSAGES: TWO WERE REGARDING THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM AND ONE WAS FOR THE EXHAUST EMISSIONS SYSTEM. AS NOTHING HAD CHANGED FROM THE PREVIOUS DAYS THIS MAY BE A TRAX ISSUE. I DID FILL UP MY GAS TASK A WEEK BEFORE BUT NOTHING HAPPENED DURING THE MAJORITY OF THAT WEEK AS I DROVE THEN VEH APPROX 150 MILES AFTER THAT. VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT JAKE SWEENEY CHEV IN TRI-COUNTY OH
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING CITY STREETS AND THERE WERE NO OTHER SYMPTOMS. IT WAS INTERMITTENT. TOOK CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY FIXED SOME LOOSE COMPUTER CONNECTORS. TWO WEEKS LATER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. STABILITY CONTROL OFF LIGHT CAME ON. AT ONE POINT LOST POWER STEERING AND THE DASHBOARD DISPLAY INCLUDING SPEEDOMETER ZEROED OUT FOR A FEW SECONDS WHILE DRIVING CITY STREETS. DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE CAR GOT TO 4000RPM WITHOUT PROPERLY SHIFTING FOR THE ENTIRE DRIVE. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND THEY FIXED A DIFFERENT LOOSE GROUND CONNECTION FOR THE COMPUTER. ON THE DRIVE HOME IN CITY STREETS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON INTERMITTENTLY AND THE STABILITY CONTROL OFF LIGHT CAME ON. ENGINE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO A PROPER GEAR AND DROVE AT CLOSE TO 3000 RPM INSTEAD OF THE 2000 USUAL RPM. REAR VIEW CAMERA WOULD NOT FUNCTION.
THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FAILED AT 88,000 MILES CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON. THIS IS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AFTER 80,000 MILES. WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION UNTIL REPLACED, BUT THERE IS A NATIIONWIDE BACKORDER ON THIS PART. IS THIS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT THEY AREN'T TELLING THE CAR OWNERS ABOUT? CAR DOES NOT RUN AS EFFICIENTLY, CONSUMES MORE FUEL THAN PROMISED.
THE AIRBAG SENSOR FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WHEN PASSENGER IS SEATED THE LIGHT "PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF" IS SHOWN AS IF NO ONE IS SEATED. AIRBAG ISN'T TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. THIS HAPPENS AS SOON AS THE PASSENGER SEATS DOWN, WHILE THE CAR IS STATIONARY OR MOVING. THE SENSOR IS DEFECTIVE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING LIKE THIS FOR FEW YEARS NOW. WHEN BROUGHT UP THE ISSUE I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY AN EMPLOYE AT THE DEALERSHIP IT WAS BECAUSE THE PASSENGER MIGHT NOT BE SEATED PROPERLY. I FINALLY INSISTED ON HAVING IT CHECK AND TURNED OUT THAT THE DEALER FOUND THE SENSOR FOR THE AIRBAG PASSENGER SEAT WAS IN FACT DEFECTIVE/FAILING. THE DEALER CHARGED ME THE COST OF THE REPAIR (AS I NOW OWN THE CAR) EVEN THOUGH AT THE TIME WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED THE CAR WAS STILL UNDER THE WARRANTY. THIS PROBLEM DID OCCUR 1 YEAR AFTER I STARTED LEASING THE CAR AND I KNOW NOW THAT MY PASSENGER WAS AT RISK THE WHOLE TIME, DURING AND AFTER THEIR WARRANTY EXPIRED. I HAVE LOOKED INTO SOME FORUM AND REALIZED OTHER PEOPLE HAD THE SAME ISSUES AND WERE TOLD THE SAME THING AT FIRST (THAT THE PASSENGER WASN'T SEATING RIGHT OR LIGHT WEIGHT ETC..) WHEN IN FACT THEIR SENSOR WAS/IS DEFECTIVE.

IN ADDITION, THE POWER STEERING, CHECK ENGINE, AND ELECTRONIC THROTTLE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SERRA CHEVROLET OF SOUTHFIELD (28111 TELEGRAPH RD, SOUTHFIELD, MI), BUT THE FAILURES COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FELDMAN CHEVROLET OF LIVONIA (32570 PLYMOUTH RD, LIVONIA, MI), BUT THE FAILURES COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. WHEN I BOUGT IT MY VEHICLE WAS JUST LIKE THAT....
POWER STEERING, TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. AND STEERING COLUMN LOCKED UP. AFTER 20 MINUTES THE POWER STEERING AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS WENT OFF. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS READ AND P069E CODE WAS READ BACK. AFTER 4 DAYS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF ON ITS OWN.
EVEN AFTER REMOVING THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, THE CAR WILL CHIME LIKE THE KEY IS STILL IN IT. AFTER THE ALLOTTED 10 MINS, THE RADIO WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY TURN OFF WHICH IN TURN IS KILLING THE BATTERY. THE KEY FOBS WILL NO LONGER WORK DUE TO THE CAR THINKING THE KEY IS STILL IN THE IGNITION.
ON TUESDAY MARCH 20TH, 2018 THE 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX IN WHICH I WAS A FRONT SEAT PASSENGER WAS STUCK FROM BEHIND BY A 2012 DODGE RAM FULL SIZE PICK UP TRUCK. THE SEAT BELT THAT WAS RESTRAINING ME FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE FORWARD MOTION OF MY BODY AT IMPACT. THE SEAT BELT DID NOT TIGHTEN UP, IT ALLOWED MY BODY TO BE PROPELLED FORWARD UNRESTRAINED. I SUFFERED A NECK INJURY AND WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED WITH CONCUSSION TYPE SYMPTOMS AT THE ER. THE VEHICLE WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP WAITING FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC TO PASS WHEN IT WAS STUCK IN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE BY THE PICK UP TRAVELING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE, IT LOST POWER AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SMOKE PROFUSELY WHILE THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (TURNPIKE CHEVROLET, 4130 1 ST AVENUE, NITRO, WV 25143) INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NO OPEN RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,295.
NOV 2015 RADIO CONTINUES TO PLAY AFTER I EXITED AND WALKED AWAY, THIS HAPPEN 2-4 ADDITIONAL TIMES. NOV. 2015 AFTER A HEAVY RAIN THERE WOULD BE STATIC IN THE RADIO, THE INSIDE DOOR PANEL WOULD BE WET. 11/21/15 THE INSIDE WINDSHIELD HAD CONDENSATION AND FROST, THE VIDEOS PROVIDED WILL SHOW 2 ADDITIONAL TIMES THE CONDENSATION INSIDE WAS PRESENT. MARCH 2016, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND REMAINED ON FOR A FEW DAYS. THE FOLLOWING EVENTS ALL HAPPENED BETWEEN JAN 2016- PRESENT, DASHBOARD DISPLAY WOULD FLICKER, AND GO DEM BOTH DAYTIME AND NIGHT (WHILE IN MOTION). THE BACK UP CAMERA WOULD GO BLACK WHEN IT REAPPEARED IT WOULD HAVE RED AND YELLOW STREAKS. THE DISPLAY WOULD GO BLACK, I COULD HEAR THE RADIO PLAYING BUT SCREEN WOULD BE BLACK( WHILE IN MOTION). THE START UP DISPLAY WOULD FREEZE AS WELL AS THE BACK UP CAMERA FREEZES AND I DON'T KNOW THAT IS ANYTHING OR ANYONE BEHIND ME, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN (WHILE IN MOTION). MOST RECENTLY THE DASHBOARD DISPLAY IS NOT ALWAYS PRESENT ONLY A BLACK SCREEN, AND THE HEADLIGHTS ARE INTERMITTENTLY GOING COMPLETELY OUT WHEN PUT IN PARK AND AFTER ABOUT 10-15 SECONDS COMES BACK ON. ALL OTHER ISSUES THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. WHEN FILLING UP THE GAS TANK I USE TO GET APPROXIMATELY 370 MILES UNTIL EMPTY, HOWEVER INTERMITTENTLY I NOW GET 290-386. THE FILE OF ALL THE RECEIPTS I'VE RECEIVE FROM BILLION WHEN I WOULD TAKE THE VEHICLE IN, IS TO LARGE TO ATTACH. WHICH ARE VIDEOS THAT SHOW THE CONDENSATION AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (BILLION AUTO CHEVROLET LOCATED AT 4200 W 12TH ST, SIOUX FALLS, SD 57107; (605) 988-8538) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED AND WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND OR STOP. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT BECAME PARTIALLY DETACHED. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. MY 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX HAS 7900 MILES ON IT AND I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH SMELLING GAS IN THE CAB FOR OVER A YEAR. I SMELL IT MOST IN THE WINTER WHEN THE HEATER IS ON AND WHEN I START THE VEHICLE. THE SMELL ONLY LAST FOR A MINUTE OR SO BUT IT IS VERY STRONG. WE HAVE TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. WE CALLED GM AND THEY TALKED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD US SINCE THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM THEN THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO. I KNOW THAT IT DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME I START THE VEHICLE. I NOTICE IT MORE WHEN I HAVE DRIVEN IT A LITTLE AND THEN STOPPED TO GO IN THE STORE AND WHEN I COME BACK OUT AND START IT THE FUMES ARE REALLY BAD. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP THIS AND THEY TRIED DRIVING IT AND STOPPING AND TURNING IT BACK ON, BUT THEY HAVE NEVER SMELLED IT. I DID A GOOGLE SEARCH FOR CHEVROLET TAX GAS SMELL IN CAR AND FOUND A CHEVY TRAX FORUM WHERE OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND THERE DEALERSHIPS ARE TELLING THEM THE SAME THING. THEY CAN REPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I AM JUST WORRIED THAT WITH THE FUMES BEING SO STRONG THAT IF THERE WAS A SPARK OR IF MY PHONE WOULD RING COULD THIS CAUSE AN EXPLOSION, OR COULD IT CAUSE HEALTH PROBLEMS FROM BREATHING THE FUMES.
VEHICLE ROLLS BACKWARD IN DRIVE CAUSING NEAR COLLISION. I WAS OPERATING THE VEHICLE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS ON A SLIGHT INCLINE AND THE GEAR SELECTOR IN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE SHIFTS TO NEUTRAL CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ROLL BACKWARD WHEN THE BRAKE IS RELEASED AND ON 2 OCCASIONS CAUSING A NEAR ROLL BACK REAR TO FRONT COLLISION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING ANY FAILURES WITH ANY OF THE SEAT BELTS UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V651000 (SEAT BELTS). WEEKS LATER, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT FAILED TO BUCKLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO FORCE THE BUCKLE TO SECURE AND GET THE SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATOR TO GO OFF. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WHILE IDLING. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,657.
WHEN DRIVING WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN, THE AIR FLOW INSIDE THE VEHICLE WOBBLES CREATING A BOTHERSOME EAR DISCOMFORT. AT FASTER SPEEDS, IT EVEN CREATES A NOISE. THIS EFFECT IS DISTRACTING AND CAUSES A DIVERSION FROM DRIVING CONCENTRATION. I BELIEVE IT IS A DESIGN ERROR.
MY 2015 TRAX HAD COLIDED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE TRAAX VERSES THE BED OF A GMC PICKUP AT A MOERATE SPEED. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. PASSENGER IN RIGHT HAND FRONT SEAT WAS FASTENED WHITH A SEAT BELT AND SUFFERERD A CLOSED SCULL CONCUSSION WITH WHIPLASH.THE VEHICLE COLLIDED ON A PRIVATE STREET WHEN THE GMC PICKUP BACKED OUT OF A DRIVEWAY WHITHOUT YEIDING THE RIGHT OF WAY(POLICE REPORT FINDING).
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE. THE CONTACT PRESENTED A RECALL NOTICE AND THE DEALER SCHEDULED THE REPAIR FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V422000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EQUIPMENT). THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE BEFORE THE DEALER COMPLETED THE RECALL REPAIR. AFTER THE REPAIR, THE CONTACT'S PHONE FAILED TO PROPERLY SYNC WITH THE BLUETOOTH ACCESS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO GET A NEW PHONE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO PURCHASE A NEW PHONE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
I NOTICE A BURNING OIL ODOR FROM INSIDE MY TRAX AFTER THE CAR WARMS UP OR IN WARM WEATHER. USING THE AIR CONDITIONER IS OUT OF THE QUESTION ON THESE 90+ DEGREE DAYS. I PLAN TO GET THE CAR IN TOMMORROW TO HE CHECKED. BETWEEN THE BURNING OIL UNDER 9500 MILES, THE BAD BRAKES UNDER 4000 AND ROLLOUT BACKWARDS WHEN AT A STOP ON AN INCLINE, WORST CHEVY, PROBABLY LAST I EVER BUY.
THE INFORMATION CLUSTER (WHICH DISPLAYS MY SPEED, MILEAGE, GAS GAUGE, ETC.) WENT COMPLETELY BLACK FOR ~10-15 MILES AS WAS DRIVING HOME ONE DAY FROM WORK ON A CITY ROAD. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AS I STOPPED FOR GAS BUT THE DISPLAY WAS STILL BLACK WHEN I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON. IT FINALLY CAME BACK ON SPONTANEOUSLY WHEN I WAS HALF WAY HOME ON A COUNTY ROAD. I HAVE HAD ISSUES WHERE THE DISPLAY WILL GO BLACK TEMPORARILY (1-2 SECONDS) AS I AM DRIVING BUT IT QUICKLY TURNS BACK ON, RESETTING MY DISPLAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED 7X IN THE PAST WEEK AND I'VE NOTICED IT MORE AS THE WEATHER HAS GOTTEN HOT AND HUMID AND IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE. I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE IT OBVIOUSLY IS NOT SAFE TO BE DRIVING WITHOUT KNOWING YOUR SPEED OR IF YOU ARE RUNNING LOW ON GAS. THE PHOTO BELOW WAS TAKEN DURING MY TRIP HOME WHILE I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE FACE, CHEST, AND LEGS, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TOWED AND DESTROYED. BACKING UP VEHICLE, PRESSED BRAKES, WENT TO FLOOR, NO BRAKES. PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL TILL VEHICLE STRUCK ANOTHER PARKED VEHICLE. PUT CAR IN DRIVE, PUT FOOT ON BRAKES TO STOP AND CHECK DAMAGE, NO BRAKES. PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL, CRUISED TO STOP. TRIED TO PUT CAR IN A PARKING SLOT, NO BRAKES, CAR PUT IN NEUTRAL AND I TURNED INTO A CURB TO STOP CAR. BEFORE LEAVING PUMPED BRAKE AND CHECKED FOR PRESSURE - NOW OK. DROVE HOME AND PARKED CAR IN DRIVE. CALLED GENERAL MOTORS TO HAVE CAR BRAKES CHECKED OUT. HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE - EXACT TIME UNKNOWN - IN PARKING LOT - WITH NO CARS AROUND, TO BACK INTO. NO PRESSURE ON BRAKE PEDAL. I THOUGHT I JUST MISSED THE BRAKE PEDAL. MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES.
THE BRAKES WERE NOTICEABLY SQUEEZING AT LESS THAN 4000 MILES. I'M NOT SURE FOR HOW LONG BECAUSE I DO PLAY LOUD MUSIC, ALTHOUGH I HAD NOTICED THAT STOPPING WAS REQUIRING MORE PRESSURE, I THOUGHT IT WAS JUSTVMYVIMAGINATION. THEN I HEARD THE SQUEEZING OVER MY RADIO. I ASKED MY BOYFRIEND TO DRIVE THE 2015 TRAX AND HE SAID I NEEDED NEW BRAKES AND REFUSED TO DRIVE IT AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO AN AUTHORIZED CHEVY DEALER AND WAS CHARGED 25.OO FOR AN INSPECTION BECAUSE THEY CLAIMED THE SHORT DISTANCE THEY DROVE COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE SOUND, NO DEFECTS FOUND. THE SQUEEKING GOT LOUDER, I TOOK IT TO THE CHEVY DEALER THAT HOSED ME ON THE PURCHASE OF THE CAR, THEY ALSO STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY DEFECT NOR COULD THEY HEAR ANYTHING, SO I OFFERED TO TAKE THE MECHANIC AND MANAGER OF SERVICE FOR A RIDE AT THEIR LRISURE, BOTH DECLINED, I EVEN OFFERED TO LET THEM DRIVE, AGAIN THEY REFUSED, I WAS LATER TOLD THAT THEY KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG BUT THEY DIDN'T FEEL UNDER CHEVY GUIDELINES IT WAS NECESSARY TOBREPAIR. THEY WOULDN'T REPAIR THE BRAKES EVEN AFTER I SAID I WOULD PAY FOR MY OWN SAFETY! I WENT BACK IN AND GOT BOTH THEIR CARDS AND ADVISED THAT IF THEY WERE GOING TO PROMOTE THE CHEVY BRAND, MY SON SHOULD KNOW WHO TO SUE IF I DIE IN THAT DEATH TRAP. I LATER TALKED TO MY CAR INSURANCE CARRIER ABOUT MY HIGH RATES, HE STATED THAT IT WAS DUE TO THE TRAX PROVEN HISTORY OF ISSUES/FAILURES FOR ESPECIALLY FOR BEING A FAIRLY NEW CHEVY MODEL, SPECIFICALLY THOSE WHICH THE PUBLIC IS STILL UNAWARE OF. I PAID 32000 FOR THE UPGRADE MODEL AND I CAN'T EVEN GET AN OFFER BETTER THAN 16000 WITH LESS THAN 7500 MILES ON IT. OH, AND THE AC CONSTANTLY CYCLES AND MY OLD TEN SPEED BLEW COLDER AIR!
ON JUNE 11, 2016, I WAS DRIVING 60 MPH AND HAD A FRONT END COLLISION. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE. THIS WAS A 4 LANE HIGHWAY, AND A DEER RAN OUT IN FRONT OF ME. THE SHERRIFF'S DEPARTMENT RESPONDED AND A REPORT HAS BEEN FILED.
I HAD A FRONT END COLLISION LAST NIGHT DOING 60 MILES PER HOUR. THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY.
THE BRAKE STARTED SQEEKING AFTER DROVE OF LOT IN FEB 2016 UP TILL THIS VERY DAY JUNE 2016. ALSO WHEN APPLYING BRAKE HARD CAR SLIDES PAST STOP.
I HAVE HAD MY TRAX IN FOR SERVICE 5+ TIMES DUE TO THE "BYOM" MEDIA AND DUE TO MY CAR BEING HACKED THROUGH THE "GLITCH" THROUGH THE MYLINK MEDIA CENTER AND INFORMANT SYSTEM, WHICH, IRONICALLY, AT THE BEGINNING OF MAY 2016, A RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT OUT ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I HAD MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE FOR THE 5TH TIME (SAME THING!!!) AND GM EXPLAINED TO ME THAT I WAS MISSING RELAY'S AND FUSES IN MY CAR (YES, CAUSE THE CAR DOESN'T LOCK AND THE REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY HAD A GLITCH IN IT DUE TO THE RECALL")! I HAVE FILED SEVERAL CASES WITH GM ABOUT THIS AND HAVE HAD MY IDENTITY STOLEN, 2 WEEKS AFTER GETTING THIS VEHICLE!!!! SINCE THESE ITEMS WERE MISSING, THEY WANTED ME TO PAY FOR THIS OUT OF MY OWN POCKET, AGAIN GM'S RECALL AND ISSUE NOT MINE!!! SINCE I WOULDN'T PAY FOR WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WARRANTIED, THEY REMOVED THE MISSING COMPONENTS FROM MY CAR, CHARGED ME $250 FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC AND A LOANER CAR (TOTAL SCAM AND THEY ARE ALLOWING ME TO DRIVE AROUND WITH MISSING COMPONENTS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE GLITCHES IN THE "BYOM" AND CAR!? I AM DRIVING AROUND A SAFETY AND IDENTITY THEFT HAZARD NOW DUE TO GM AND THEIR LACK OF FOLLOW THROUGH ON A KNOWN ISSUE BROUGHT TO THEIR ATTENTION AT THE BEGINNING OF 2015 AT DEFCON CONVENTION!! SEE WIRED.COM- SAM KAMKAR BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION. THEY SOLD VEHICLES THAT WERE HACKABLE AND ARE JUST NOW BRINING IT TO OWNER'S ATTENTION! I AM BASICALLY DRIVING AROUND A CAR THAT MAY OR MAY NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY FOR MY SAFETY DUE TO THEIR GREED AND LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR ISSUES BUILDING THIS VEHICLE. THIS IS A DEATH HAZZARD TO ME AND THE 6 YO TWINS THAT RIDE IN MY CAR!! I WANTED TO BRING THIS TO YOUR ATTENTION AS I AM CONTINUING TO BE FOLLOWED AND HACKED IN MY CAR DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE.

CHEVROLET HAS REPEATEDLY STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION ON THE TRAX IS OPERATING AS DESIGNED WHEN IT ALLOWS THE VEHICLE TO ROLL BACKWARDS ON ANY SORT OF INCLINE, HOWEVER CHEVROLET ADVERTISES THE TRAX AS HAVING HILL START ASSIST, WHICH AUTOMATICALLY APPLIES BRAKES FOR UP TO 2 SECONDS BETWEEN WHEN A DRIVER TAKES THEIR FOOT OFF THE BRAKES AND APPLIES IT TO THE ACCELERATOR. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT DO THIS AT ALL. THE TRANSMISSION ALLOWS IT TO ROLL FULLY BACKWARDS, DESPITE WHAT CHEVY ADVERTISES AND STATES IN THE VEHICLE MANUAL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TRAX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE BACK UP CAMERA FAILED TO FULLY ILLUMINATE, AS A SECTION OF THE CAMERA WAS BLANK. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 600. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
THE VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION IS DANGEROUS. IT FREQUENTLY CAUSES SURGING WHEN BRAKING OR CREEPING IN TRAFFIC, THAT CAN CAUSE UNINTENDED SURGES INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU. THE TRANSMISSION ALSO SHUDDERS WHEN CREEPING IN TRAFFIC, WHICH CAN ALSO CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO SURGE FORWARD UNEXPECTEDLY. GM HAS REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT IS AN ISSUE.
( FIRST COMPLAINT)WHEN IN GEAR ON A HILL THE VEHICLE STARTS ROLLING BACK WARD FOR NO REASON I NOW HAVE TO DRIVE WITH TWO FEET (SECOND COMPLAINT) MY REAR VIEW CAMERA YOU CAN ONLY SEE 3/4 OF THE PICTUER THE PART IS BLACKED OUT. (THIRD COMPLAINT) THE OIL THINS VERY FAST HAD HTREE OIL CHANGES LESS THAN SIXMONTHS. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEAL 4 TIMES THE FOURTH TIME THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE (INCLINE BRAKE) AND THE ONLY WAY IT COULD BE FIXED IS I WOULD HAVE TO GET A NEW VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS BUILT IN AND NO WAY THEY CAN FIX IT. THE CAMERA ISSUE THEY SAID IT MET GM AN CHEVROLET SPECS SO NOTHING WAS GOING TO BE DONE ABOUR IT. THERE ARE SERIOUS ISSUES WITH ALL MY COMPLAINT I AM NOT TRYING TO BE A STASTIC OF A RECALL VEHICLE. I AM SEND ATTATCHMENTS OF THE DEALERSHIPS DEMIALS OF THE PROBLEMS EXISTING. PLEASE SEE ATTATCHMENTS I WAS WONDERING IF I SHOULD GET THE NEWS MEDIA INVOLVED BECAUSE I SEE COMPLAINTS AND NO INVESTIGATIONS DONE ON ANY OF THESES MATTERS. [XXX]. I NOTICE A BURNING OIL ODOR FROM INSIDE MY SUV AFTER THE CAR WARMS UP OR IN WARM WEATHER. I GOOGLED THE SYMPTOM & FOUND THAT GM IS RECALLING SOME 2015 TRAX FOR THIS PROBLEM. I CALLED DEALER & THEY FOUND NOTHING IN THEIR DATA BASE. I TOOK MY TRAX IN ANY WAY . THEY HAD IT FOR A DAY & COULDN'T CONFIRM ANY STRANGE ODOR. I'M CONCERNED THIS MIGHT BE ANOTHER IGNITION KEY SENEREO.
