Strong fuel Oder in car after fueling. It's been venting in the cabin and it makes you lightheaded after some time of driving. I've checked for leaks and no leaks. I suspect fuel is gathering under rear seats. The smell seems to be most prominent around the rear D/S seat and near the fuel nozzle entry area.
The center console and both front door panels need to be replaced as the panel is pulling away from the doors and the console. Research shows that when the panels on the door requires repair, this could render side front air bags ineffective and the car can easily lose heat and allow cold air inside. Similarly, with the center console, this could cause the p/n/r/d gears to malfunction. I did contact Chrysler (case# 80922998) as was advised that my claim was declined because the 2-year warranty had been exceeded. My car is a 2015 Chrysler 300. The issue did not start until 2020. Research also revealed that many of the Chrysler 300s are experiencing this issue. Also, I did have the dealer to take a look at the panels when I went to have my car serviced on 10/27/2021 and was advised to submit a claim with Chrysler. Finally, please note that my car is a 2015 with only 19,609 miles as of 10/27/2021.
ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS I REFUELED MY VEHICLE WITHOUT TOPPING OFF. A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL CAN BE SMELLED IN THE CABIN OF THE CAR AFTER FUELING WHILE DRIVING AND EVEN MORE WHEN STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. WHEN I PARKED TO INVESTIGATE THE STRONG GASOLINE SMELL, RAW FUEL COULD BE SEEN RUNNING FROM BEHIND THE WHEEL WELL ONTO THE GROUND. I TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND WAITED FOR THE FUEL TO STOP HITTING THE GROUND BEFORE STARTING AND DRIVING THE VEHICLE AGAIN. MY CONCERN WAS THE FUEL LEAKING ONTO THE HOT EXHAUST AND CAUSING A FIRE.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL/ ABS LIGHT/ BRAKE LIGHT.. WHILE DRIVING THE ESC AND ABS POPPED ON TOGETHER, AFTER CRANKING BACK UP THE VEHICLES BRAKE LIGHT APPEARED, SOMETHING IS STOPPING THE VEHICLE FROM DRIVING NORMAL. UPON STOPPING AT RED LIGHTS THE CAR JERKS, ALSO IT SKIDS WHEN MAKING LEFT AND RIGHT HAND TURNS. THE CAR REVS WHEN ACCELERATING BUT THE RPMS ARE REDUCED AS IF IN LIMP MODE. THE CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ESPECIALLY TWO LANE HIGHWAYS IT GRAVITATED TOWARDS THE DITCH THIS TIME I JUST COULD TURN THE WHEEL, BECAUSE SOMETIMES THE WHEEL IS VERY HARD TO TURN.
LOSS POWER ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE PASSING LANE SO I STOPPED AND CHECKED OIL LEVEL. THE OIL WAS LOW AND FOUND I HAD A MAJOR OIL LEAK FROM THE OIL HOUSING. TONS OF FORUMS ONLINE DISCUSSING THE PROBLEM. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY HAVE 14 OIL HOUSING KITS THEY ARE WAITING FOR TO FIX CUSTOMERS VEHICLES. THIS IS COSTLY AND SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM.

VEHICLE STARS BUT WILL NOT MOVE FORWARD OR BACKWARDS, IT ROLLS FORWARD WHEN IN PARK, HAVE TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP. CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE OR REVERSE; IT'S JUST STUCK . HAD IT PHYSICALLY MOVED TO THE HOUSE UNTIL I CAN REPAIR IT
THE ANTI LOCK BREAK AND ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHTS COME ON. WHEN THIS HAPPENS SPEED CONTROL IS DEACTIVATED. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP, IT IS AN ISSUE WITH THE SENSORS, AS I HAVE HAD TWO OF THESE REPLACED OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS. MY ACCOUNT MANAGER MADE THE COMMENT TO JUST "REPLACE" ALL OF THEM AS THIS IS A REGULAR PROBLEM. THE COST IS EXCESSIVE, COMING IN AT $400 PER SENSOR. THE LIGHTS HAVE NOW COME ON A 3RD TIME, SO THE ACCOUNT MANAGER WAS RIGHT. THE DATE WAS AUGUST 26, 2020. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 60,000 MILES, SO I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED.

MY WIFE WAS IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE SHE WAS HIT IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE AT HER DOOR, REAR PASSENGER DOOR AND FRONT FENDER WHILE TURNING LEFT AT AN INTERSECTION. IMPACT WAS 35-40 MPH. NOT ONE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. SHE HIT HER HEAD AND SHOULDER ON WINDOW CAUSING SEVERE PAIN TO HER HEAD,NECK AND COLLAR BONE, AND WE WANT TO KNOW WHY THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE TOLD THE PARAMEDIC THAT HER NECK AND BACK WERE HURTING. THE CONTACT WAS EXAMINED AND RELEASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WITHIN A MONTH, SHE WENT TO HER DOCTOR AND WAS TOLD THAT HER KIDNEY NEEDED TO BE WATCHED. THE CONTACT HAD TWO BACK SURGERIES SEVEN MONTHS LATER AND A NECK SURGERY NINE MONTHS LATER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SURGERIES RESULTED FROM THE CRASH. THE CONTACT LATER RECEIVED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 18V332000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL) AND 19V018000 (AIR BAGS). THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A COST ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR AND WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALER THAT THEY WOULD ATTEMPT TO SEE IF THEY COULD ASSIST WITH THE COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD WORK WITH THE DEALER TO ASSIST WITH THE COST OF REPAIRS. THE DEALER CALLED THE CONTACT BACK A FEW DAYS LATER WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT ASSIST WITH THE COST OF THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE DRIVER & FRONT PASSENGER DOOR PANELS ARE SEPARATING AT THE TOP OF THE DOOR WHERE IT MEETS THE WINDOW. TOOK THE CAR TO SIERRA CHRYSLER DEALER & ASKED TO FIX THE PROBLEM & HE SAID THIS WAS COMMON TO HAPPEN WITH THIS MODEL. ASKED IF IT WAS COVERED UNDER OUR WARRANTY & HE REPLIED "NO" BUT WE COULD PAY OVER $900 TO REPLACE EACH PANEL. WE ARE DISGUSTED AFTER TAKING CARE OF THIS CAR TO FIND OUT THE DOOR PANELS ARE DEFECTIVE AND ITS KNOWN BY CHRYSLER. THIS SHOULD BE REPAIRED AT NO COST TO ME. THIS CAR HAS UNDER 36,000, WELL MAINTAINED & THE INSIDE DOOR PANELS ARE SEPARATING FROM THE DOOR.
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK WITH GEAR ON D THE CAR SUDDENLY CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP AND A MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD READ, SHIFT TO P THEN TO DESIRED GEAR. I ATTEMPTED TO REVERSE AND OR PUT THE GEAR IN DRIVE SEVERAL TIMES ONLY TO RECEIVE THE SAME MESSAGE. I TRIED TURNING THE CAR OFF MULTIPLE TIMES AND I STILL HAD THE SAME RESULT. UNTIL ABOUT 10 MINUTES OR SO OF THIS SAME ISSUE I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND PARK. ON 8/6/2019 MY CAR WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP GETTING RECALLS FIXED AND THEN THIS OCCURED. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE BEFORE.
MY CHRYSLER DEALER IS SLOW IN DEALING WITH TWO RECALLS. ONE YEAR WAITING FOR AIR BAG RECALL SOLUTION AND NOW I'M TOLD "NO PARTS" FOR EMISSION CANISTER RECALL. WHY THE DELAY AT THIS TERRIBLE SERVICE CENTER?

AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE IN DEC. 2018, I WAS NOT GETTING A SMOOTH RIDE. I RETURNED IT TO THE DEALER FOR SCHEDULED OIL CHANGES( 5,000) AND 50,000; 60,000 SERVICE INTERVALS. AFTER A ROUGH SNOWY WINTER, I PURCHASED 4 NEW TIRES, FRONT END ALIGNMENT, AND STILL WASN'T GETTING SMOOTH RIDE. DEALER DETERMINED I NEEDED NEW FRONT STRUTS, ( PAID OVER $1,100 FOR THE STRUTS)AND ANOTHER ALIGNMENT. I'M STILL NOT GETTING A SMOOTH RIDE WHEREAS I FEEL EVERY BUMP I COME ACROSS WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND MILDLY ON THE HIGHWAY.

WHEN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 15-25 MPH ON BOTH STREETS AND HIGHWAYS THE FRONT SUSPENSION GENERATES A SOUND THAT RELATES TO WORN BUSHINGS OR A 'LOOSE'STRUTS. THE DEALERSHIP HAS WORKED ON THIS ISSUE. THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS A PROBLEM, BUT HAS NOT RESOLVED SAME. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE AND APPARENTLY WITH OTHER VEHICLES IN THIS 300 MODEL. THEY HAVE PLACED THIS PROBLEM ON A 'STAR' LIST AND ARE TELLING ME THE PROBLEM WILL HAVE TO GET WORSE BEFORE ANY FURTHER CORRECTIONS WILL BE ADDRESSED. THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED FROM THIS DEALERSHIP AND I AM THE ONLY OWNER OF THIS CAR. TECHNICIANS HAVE RIDDEN WITH ME IN THE CAR AND CONFIRM THE ' LOOSE SOUND' IS PRESENT. THEY APPARENTLY DO NOT HAVE A RELIABLE SOLUTION!

THIS IS NOT A 3 HOUR JOB. CURRENTLY THERE ARE NO WHEEL SPEED SENSORS AVAILABLE AND ARE ON INDEFINITE BACK ORDER DUE TO AN UNBELIEVABLY HIGH DEMAND. WHEN ACCELERATING ON A FREEWAY RAMP AND ALSO FROM A STOP THE TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED TO CHANGE GEARS UNTIL THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. IT HAS HAPPENED ONCE IN EACH SITUATION. CAR KEEPS SAYING SERVICE FUEL SENSOR. I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR IN MARCH 2015 AND IN JUNE 2015 THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE GAS TANK PICTURE KELP BLINKING. I HAVE PUT ON ABOUT 1K MILES SO FAR, AND I AM NOTICING A BURNING SMELL - LIKE HEATED CERAMIC, WHILE INSIDE THE CAR WHEN I AM STATIONARY, AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR ABOUT AN HOUR (HIGHWAY AND STREET). CONCERNED THAT I SEE THERE WERE RECALLS FOR THE ALTERNATOR ON PREVIOUS MODEL YEARS - BURNING UP AND CAUSING FIRES. ALTERNATOR IS IN THE SAME AREA AS THE SMELL. NO RECALLS OR COMPLAINTS ON FILE FOR THIS SITUATION FOR MY YEAR AND MODEL.
ON A LEVEL SURFACE WITH AND WITHOUT THE AUTO RUNNING, SEAT BELTS ARE FULLY EXTENDED, AND WILL NOT RETRACT.
CAR SHIFT HARSH WHEN STOPING OR COMING TO A STOP. DEALER SAYS ITS PART OF LEARNING PROCESS. MY CAR NOW HAS 45K MILES.FIRST COMPLAINT WAS AROUND 1000 MILES. EVERYTIME I TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALER THEY ALWAYS SAY THE SAME THING.
RUNNING HEADLIGHTS ARE TOO BRIGHT. SINCE THE PURCHSE OF THIS VEHICLE I AM CONSTANTLY HAVING OTHER DRIVERS FLICK THEIR HEADLIGHTS ON AT ME TO INFORM ME MY BRIGHT LIGHTS ARE ON, WHICH THEY ARE NOT! I JUST HAD AN INCIDENT LAST NIGHT, A DRIVER IN FRONT OF ME THOUGHT I WAS RUNNING MY BRIGHT LIGHTS ON, THE DRIVER PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND GOT BEHIND ME WITH THEIR BRIGHT LIGHTS ON AS A WAY OF LETTING ME KNOW, THIS DRIVER WAS APPROX 10 INCHES OFF OF MY BUMPER DOING 50 MPH. PLEASE OFFER A DIMMER BULB. THIS ISSUE WILL INSUE "ROAD RAGE" FROM OTHER DRIVERS!
I HAVE HAD ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS ABOUT (6) DIFFERENT TIMES THE CAR LOCKS-UP AND I AM UNABLE TO GET THE CAR IN MOTION IN THE PARKED MODE , THE MESSAGE BOARD READS (SERVICE SHIFT SELECTOR). IN THE STATIONARY POSITION.

AFTER THE VEHICLE STALLED, IT WAS SHIFTED INTO DRIVE FROM REVERSE AND BACK INTO DRIVE TWICE AND THEN INDEPENDENTLY RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE ENTIRE FRONT SUSPENSION HAS MAJOR RUSTING AND WAS NOTICED A WEEK AFTER PURCHASE. THE VEHICLE IS BRAND NEW AND AT THE TIME OF NOTICING THE RUST, IT HAD LESS THAN 200 MILES. I DO NOT LEAVE IN AN AREA THAT THE CAR HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO ANY ROAD SALT OR DE-ICING AGENT. THE RUST APPEARS TO MORE THAN JUST SURFACE RUSTING AND HAS CAUSED ALL THE BOLTS, BUSHING AND CONTROL ARMS TO HAVE MAJOR RUST AND IN SOME PARTS THE METAL IS FLAKING. I FEEL THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND MY PASSENGERS ARE AT RISK AND NEVER HAVE SEEN THIS AMOUNT OF CORROSION ON A VEHICLE, MUCH LESS A BRAND NEW ONE
MY 2015 CHRYSLER 300S MODEL WITH LESS THEN 300 MILES ON IT HAS SERVER CORROSION DUE TO HEAVY RUSTING ON AND AROUND THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER CONTROL ARMS AND BOLTS AND BUSHINGS. I LIVE IN TEXAS AND THE VEHICLE HASNT BEEN EXPOSED TO ANY HARSH CLIMATES WITHIN THE TWO WEEKS OF OWNERSHIP. THE VEHICLE HAD APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES (TEST DRIVE MILES) WHEN PURCHASED. FROM THE RESEARCH I HAVE DONE THERE ARE SEVERAL LATE MODEL CHRYSLER'S 300 WITH THE SAME RUSTING ISSUE, IN SOME CASES SEVER CRASHES HAVE BEEN REPORTED DUE TO SUSPENSION BREAKING FROM RUST CORROSION.
WHILE WALKING OUT OF THE STORE THE CAR WOULD NOT UNLOCK BY USING THE FOB. WHEN I OPENED IT MANUALLY AND PUSHED THE UNLOCK BUTTON, IT STILL WOULD NOT UNLOCK. I HAD TO HAVE EVERYONE CLIMB IN THROUGH MY DOOR TO GET TO THEIR SEATS. THE NEXT DAY THE CAR WOULD NOT LOCK WITH THE FOB AND BY MANUALLY PUSHING THE BUTTONS. I HAVE NOW TAKEN IT IN TWICE AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT. AT RANDOM TIMES AND DAYS THE DOORS EITHER DO NOT UNLOCK, THEY WILL LOCK AND NOT LET PEOPLE OUT, OR THE TRUNK WILL NOT OPEN. IT HAPPENS WITH THE FOB OR BY PUSHING THE MANUAL BUTTONS. FOR BEING A BRAND NEW CAR IT HAS BEEN VERY FRUSTRATING THAT NO SOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND. IT HAS STAYED AT THE DEALER FOR 3 WEEKS AND AFTER GETTING IT BACK NOT 2 WEEKS HAVE PASSED WHERE IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I JUST TOOK IT IN AGAIN THIS WEEK AND RECEIVED IT BACK SO I AM WAITING TO SEE IF IT IS FIXED OR IF IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE ISSUE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200.
MY REAR SUNROOF EXPLODED. I WAS DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MILES AN HOUR ON AN OVERCAST DAY WITH AN OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE OF APPROXIMATELY 52 DEGREES (F). MY WINDOWS WERE ALL CLOSED. WHILE DRIVING I HEARD A BIG BANG, AND WITHIN SECONDS I NOTICED THAT ME REAR SUNROOF HAD A LARGE HOLE IN IT. I IMMEDIATELY DROVE THE CAR DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD PURCHASED THE CAR 15 MONTHS AGO. THEY INSPECTED THE DAMAGE AND NOTED THAT IT WAS AN OUTWARD EXPLOSION AS THE REMAINING GLASS IN THE SUNROOF WAS PUSHED OUT, NOT IN. THEY ALSO INSPECTED THE CAR FOR ANY SIGNS THAT SOMETHING MIGHT HAVE EXPLODED WITHIN THE CAR AND SHOT THROUGH THE ROOF - THERE WERE ABSOLUTELY NO SUCH SIGNS. THE CAR DEALERSHIP CONTACTED CHRYSLER TO SEE IF THEY WOULD COVER THE DAMAGE AS IT WAS OBVIOUSLY THE RESULT OF SUBSTANDARD GLASS OR A DESIGN FLAW. CHRYSLER DENIED COVERAGE. I SEARCHED THE INTERNET FOR EXPLODING SUNROOFS AND FOUND OUT THAT MY EXPERIENCE WASN'T UNIQUE. THERE WERE MANY ACCOUNTS OF OTHER SUCH INCIDENCES, AND EVEN SOME RECALLS BY ONE OR TWO CAR MANUFACTURERS. MY CONCERNS ARE: 1) SAFETY. I WAS ALONE IN THE CAR, AND WAS NOT HURT. HOWEVER, I'M NOT SURE IF I HAD BACKSEAT PASSENGERS IF THEY WOULD HAVE ESCAPED INJURY. I AM ALSO CONCERNED ABOUT MY SAFETY IF THE FRONT SUNROOF (OVER MY HEAD) WOULD HAVE EXPLODED INSTEAD OF THE REAR SUNROOF. 2) RESPONSIBILITY. THE DENIAL OF ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS INCIDENT BY CHRYSLER IS TROUBLING. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY AND EVEN PURCHASED EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THIS VEHICLE. THIS EXPLOSION WAS OBVIOUSLY CREATED BY A DESIGN FLAW OR THE USE OF SUBSTANDARD GLASS. 3) COST. THOUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN, I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RATHER EXPENSIVE REPAIR. *TR

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Stage 1 Kit Performance Packages Powertrain Control Modules (PCM) Part Numbers P5160023, P5160025, and Demon Crate PCM Part Number 68412287AA. The PCMs are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.
