Overnight, my car dumped all of my fuel onto the garage floor beneath my car.
Passenger right front door will not latch shut.
My forward collision warning alert frequently goes off unnecessarily but this is not a big deal. However, recently it went off and partially applied the brakes. This should not have occurred and could have been a very big safety issue.
I HAD BACKED IN TO THE GARAGE AND TURNED THE 'KNOB' TO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, I HAD REMOVED MY SEATBELT BUT NOT EXITED THE CAR YET AND THE CAR WENT BACKWARDS WITH SOME FORCE AND BREAKING DIDN'T STOP IT, ONLY AFTER I HIT THE BUTTON TO CUT IT OFF, MULTIPLE TIMES, DID IT FINALLY SHUT DOWN. MY HUSBAND WAS BEHIND THE CAR, GETTING READY TO GET THE GROCERIES OUT OF THE REAR. THIS VEHICLE STRUCK HIM AND WENT THRU THE KITCHEN WALL OF OUR CONDO. HIS LEG WAS STUCK UNDER THE TIRE WHICH THAT WAS TURNING ON TOP OF HIS CALF. I AM ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN THE CAR WAS IN PARK BC NOT ONLY WAS THE KNOB SET AT P BUT ALSO THE P WAS ON THE SCREEN. ONLY CERTAIN BECAUSE I'M ALWAYS CAUTIOUS DUE TO THE PROXIMITY OF DISTANCE OF EVERYTHING IN THE GARAGE AND TIGHT QUARTERS.
3 OF THE 4 DOORS (DRIVER'S DOOR, REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR) WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK. KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK, NOR DOES USING KEY FOB. DOORS CAN'T BE LOCKED WHILE CAR IS IN MOTION OR WHEN STOPPED. THE 3 DOORS MENTIONED ABOVE STAY UNLOCKED AT ALL TIMES. *TR
WAS STATIONARY WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AT A STOP LIGHT. TRUCK ACCELERATED WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AND JERKED THE VEHICLE FORWARD. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED.

THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V392000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.

THE CONTACT TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LAND ROVER SCARBOROUGH (371 US-1, SCARBOROUGH, ME 04074, (207) 883-0161) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING RACK BOLTS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: [XXX] AND THE MANUFACTURER OFFERED 80% ASSISTANCE TOWARD THE REPAIR COST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THERE IS A DANGEROUS LAG IN THE ACCELERATOR WHEN STARTING FROM A STOP, OR A LOW SPEED TURN. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME I COME TO A QUICK STOP AT A SIGN OR WHEN TURNING A SLOW SPEED CORNER.. IT IS MOST DANGEROUS WHEN PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT OR CROSS STREET WHEN ONCOMING TRAFFIC IS COMING AND YOU NEED THE CAR TO RESPOND ACCURATELY TO YOUR GAS PEDAL INPUT. INSTEAD, THE VEHICLE DOES NOTHING FOR 1-1.5 SECONDS, THEN LURCHES FORWARD. THIS CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN YOU COMMIT TO PULL INTO TRAFFIC, HIT THE GAS PEDAL, AND THE VEHICLE DOESN'T ACTUALLY MOVE UNTIL THE DELAY. I'M SURE IT SEEMS TO APPROACHING TRAFFIC AS IF I STALLED IN FRONT OF THEM. IT IS REALLY ONLY NOTICEABLE AT LOW SPEED OR ROLLING STARTS.
DOOR LATCH FAILURE. DRIVER DOOR LATCH FAILED AND WAS REPLACED IN OCTOBER 2018. WE REQUESTED CHANGE OF ALL LATCHES AS THERE IS A RECALL ISSUED ON DOOR LATCH FAILURE. RANGE ROVER DENIED AND SAID THE OTHER LATCHES WILL NOT FAIL. OUR PASSENGER FRONT LATCH FAILED AND THE DOOR HAD TO BE HELD CLOSED BY HAND TO DRIVE IN JAN 2019. REQUESTED RANGE ROVER TO REPLACE ALL DOOR LATCHES AGAIN AND THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE REAR LATCHES AS THEY HAVE NOT YET FAILED. TO AVOID COMPROMISING SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN, WE ARE PAYING OUT OF POCKET TO REPLACE THOSE LATCHES. LAND ROVER NORTH AMERICA REPEATEDLY REFUSED OUR REQUEST DESPITE TALKING TO MULTIPLE CASE MANAGERS AND A SUPERVISOR.
REAR MIDDLE SEAT BELT BECOME UNLATCHED. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHEN STATIONARY AS WELL AS WHILE IN MOTION. WE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS SEVERAL TIMES WHILE TURNING AS WELL AS WHILE IDLE.
RIGHT REAR DOOR WILL NOT LOCK WHEN USING THE REMOTE OR ELECTRIC LOCK FEATURE. IN ORDER TO LOCK THE DOOR YOU MUST MANUALLY DEPRESS THE LOCK FEATURE. WHEN DRIVING THE DOOR REMAINS UNLOCKED AND THEREFORE COULD OPEN.
09/06/18 I WAS STOPPED ,WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, WAITING TO TURN LEFT BECAUSE THERE WAS ONCOMING TRAFFIC. SUDDENLY, WHILE I STILL HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. MY VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND I HAD TO VEER AND SWERVE TO MISS ONCOMING TRAFFIC. 09/07/18 IT WAS ABOUT 10:50 AM AND I WAS PREPARING TO PARK NEXT TO A STORE. AS I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PARK, AGAIN WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, MY VEHICLE ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL AND I WAS THRUST UP THE CURB, ACROSS A SIDE WALK AND THRU THE STORE FRONT. EVEN THOUGH MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE, IT WOULDN'T STOP. THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE AND THE STORE MY AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE SLOWED ON ITS OWN. IT WAS PLACED ON A TOW TRUCK AND DELIVERED TO THE H&H PREMIER AUTOMOTIVE IN OMAHA. LAND ROVER ENGINEERS AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY ARE INVESTIGATING MY CASE NUMBER WITH LAND ROVER IS 8000569280 I DO HAVE PICTURES IF YOU EMAIL ME I CAN ATTACH THEM TO THAT EMAIL. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS. I'M AFRAID RANGE ROVER WILL NOT ADMIT THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A MAJOR RECALL BUT SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE KILLED IF THIS CONTINUES.

THE CONTACT'S NINE MONTH OLD CHILD WAS SEATED IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE CLOSEST TO THE DOOR. ANOTHER PASSENGER WAS SEATED ON THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE AND QUICKLY REACHED OVER THE CHILD'S CAR SEAT TO KEEP THE CHILD FROM FALLING FROM THE MOVING VEHICLE. AS A RESULT, THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED FRACTURED RIBS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DOOR WAS TIGHTLY SECURED PRIOR TO THE RELEASE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED AND LOCK WAS REPLACED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V385000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE VEHICLE PRODUCTION DATE WAS MARCH 14, 2015; HOWEVER, THE AFFECTED VEHICLE'S MANUFACTURED DATE ONLY EXTENDED TO MARCH 9, 2015. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING DIMMED WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED A STRESS CRACK IN THEIR LAND ROVER'S WINDSHIELD. WE HAVE HAD TWO LAND ROVER SPORTS, 2013 AND 2015, AND BOTH HAVE HAD STRESS FRACTURES FROM THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD THAT RESULTED IN HUGE CRACKS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND SIDE TO SIDE IN THE COURSE OF ONE DAY THAT ARE EXTREMELY UNSAFE. THE PEOPLE AT OUR LAND ROVER DEALERSHIP HAD A REP FROM A-1AUTO GLASS IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS LOOK AT IT WHILE HE WAS THERE. HE SAID THAT THERE WAS A BREAK AT THE TOP AND SURMISED THAT IT WAS FROM A ROCK. HOWEVER, THE CAR WASN'T DRIVEN AND HAD BEEN PARKED IN OUR HOUSE MILES AND MILES FROM ANY ROAD TRAFFIC. THOUGH I UNDERSTAND THAT CRACKS CAN OCCUR OVER TIME, WE HAVE A COMPARISON--FORTUNATELY OR UNFORTUNATELY-- OF AN ACTUAL ROCK CHIP RIGHT ON THE WINDSHIELD AND THE RESULT IS WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT, A CENTRAL STRIKE WITH RADIATING LINES AND A DISCERNIBLE POINT OF IMPACT. HAVING THE SAME STRESS FRACTURE AT THE EXACT SAME PLACE ON NOT ONE, BUT TWO LAND ROVERS IS REALLY BEYOND COINCIDENCE. FORGET THAT THESE WINDSHIELDS COST $1400 TO REPLACE. THE FACT THAT A STRIKE THAT WAS APPARENTLY SO TINY THAT A PICTURE HAD TO BE TAKEN AND ENLARGED TO FIND THE POINT OF IMPACT WOULD CREATE IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS A COMPLETE BISECTION OF THE WINDSHIELD FROM SIDE TO SIDE IS UNCANNY. NOT ON ONE CAR. BUT ON TWO CARS OF THE SAME MODEL LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT ON THESE WINDSHIELDS THAT RENDERS THEM VERY UNSAFE. WE ARE HAVING IT LOOKED AT INDEPENDENTLY AND WILL UPLOAD PICTURES AND VIDEO FROM THOSE INTERVIEWS HERE.
MY CAR HAS BEEN IN 4 TIMES WITH THE SAME ISSUE, THE VEHICLE WILL RANDOMLY SHUT ITSELF OFF, I.E. THE CAR SHUTS OFF, THE TRANSMISSION MOVES TO PARK. IT IS NOT ECOSTART OR FROM MY UNBUCKLING THE SEATBELT. THIS HAPPENS WHEN I AM TURNING INTO PARKING SPACES AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE VEHICLE STOPS, OCCURRENCE IS 20+ TIMES NOW. THE FAULT WILL NOT SAVE IN THE COMPUTER AND LAND ROVERS ENGINEERS HAVE ADMITTED ITS PROBABLY A SOFTWARE GLITCH BUT CANNOT FIX IF IT DOESN'T SHOW IN COMPUTER. I HAVE ATTEMPTED BUYBACK PROCESS WITH LAND ROVER WITH THEM ADMITTING MY CAR HAS "INHERENT DEFECTS" THEY WILL NOT BUY THE VEHICLE BACK, ARE UNABLE TO FIX THIS AND OTHER ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. LAND ROVER CLAIMS THE ISSUE DOES NOT AFFECT DRIVEABILITY.
WHEN FUELING THE VEHICLE, THE FUEL HANDLE CONSTANTLY STOPS DUE TO A VEHICLE DESIGN DEFECT. IT CAN SOMETIMES TAKE TEN TO FIFTEEN ATTEMPTS TO COMPLETE THE FUELING OF THE VEHICLE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU CAN NEVER KNOW WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS FULL SO THAT WHILE FUELING THE VEHICLE THE TANK CAN OVER FILL AND OVER FLOW CAUSING THE EXCESS FUEL TO GET ALLOVER YOUR HAND, THE SIDE OF THE CAR AND THE GROUND. THIS CAN RUIN THE FINISH OF THE VEHICLE BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY; THERE IS A DANGER THAT A SPARK OF ANY KIND CAN IGNITE THE EXCESS FUEL AND CAUSE AN EXPLOSION. I HAD REPORTED THIS TO THE DEALER SOON AFTER I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN LATE 2014, THEY KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT HAD NO SOLUTION. I HAVE GROWN TIRED AND AFRAID OF THIS SO I REPORTED IT TODAY DIRECTLY TO RANGE ROVER CUSTOMER SERVICE (BRIDGETTE) AND SHE SAID THAT THEY ALSO KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND ARE STILL WORKING ON IT OVER A YEAR LATER. THERE IS NO CURRENT FIX AND I BELIEVE THAT THE NHTSA SHOULD LOOK INTO IT BEFORE THERE IS A FATAL ACCIDENT.
IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES THE RANGE ROVER'S ECO MODE WAS ENGAGING PROPERLY AND SHUTTING DOWN THE ENGINE. IT HAD BEEN RESTARTING PROPERLY HOWEVER IN ONE INSTANCE THE VEHICLE DID NOT RESTART AND THE 'D' INDICATOR FLASHED. THIS LEFT THE VEHICLE DISABLED IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF TRAFFIC. RESTARTING THE ENGINE SOLVED THE PROBLEM HOWEVER THIS COULD HAVE BEEN DANGEROUS IF I HAD BEEN UNABLE TO REENGAGE 'DRIVE.'
WITHIN THE FIRST WEEKS OF OWNERSHIP FAILED TO REENGAGE THE TRANSMISSION AFTER THE ECO FEATURE TURNED OFF THE ENGINE. ECO FEATURE TURNS THE CAR OFF WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED IN TRAFFIC OR A STOP SIGNAL TO SAVE FUEL ETC. WHEN THIS OCCURS THE CAR WILL NOT RESPOND TO GAS PEDAL BEING PUSHED AND THE CAR DOES NOT GO. THE CAR HAS TO BE TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED TO GET THE TRANSMISSION TO ENGAGE. THIS TAKES SEVERAL SECONDS TO DO AND CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.I HAVE CONTACTED THE SALESMAN AT THE DEALERSHIP AND HE SAID HE HAS HEARD THIS HAPPEN TO OTHERS BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE A FIX YET.
WHILE DRIVING ON A 4 LANE ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 40-45MPH, MY VEHICLE (5 MONTHS OLD, 6,200 MILES) SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND RAPIDLY DECELERATED AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. A LARGE WARNING SIGNAL DISPLAYED ON THE DASHBOARD INDICATING "WARNING GEARBOX FAILURE". LUCKILY TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT AT THE TIME AND I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD WITHOUT INCIDENT. IT APPEARED THE TRANSMISSION FROZE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. LAND ROVER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AN AREA WITH HEAVIER TRAFFIC, OR ON AN INTERSTATE I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT A MAJOR CRASH WOULD HAVE OCCURRED. IN RESEARCHING THE 2015 EVOQUE IT APPEARS LAND ROVER HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING SIGNIFICANT ISSUES WITH THE 9 SPEED TRANSMISSION IN THIS VEHICLE BASED ON WEB SEARCH RESULTS. IT APPEARS THIS TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN RECALLED IN SEVERAL COUNTRIES, SPECIFICALLY CHINA. I BELIEVE THAT IN THE INTEREST OF PUBLIC SAFETY A REVIEW OF THIS VEHICLE MODEL'S PERFORMANCE HISTORY NEEDS EXTENSIVE REVIEW.

(VIDEO AVAILABLE) WHEN THIS OCCURES THE CAR WILL NOT RESPOND TO GAS PEDEL BEING PUSHED AND THE CAR DOES NOT GO. THE CAR HAS TO BE TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED TO GET THE TRANMISSION TO ENGAGE. TRAFFIC HAS TO GO AROUND THE CAR, CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS AND POSSIBLE LIFE THREATENING SITUATION.
THE VEHICLE WITHIN THE FIRST FEW WEEKS OF OWNERSHIP FAILED TO OPERATE WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. AFTER BEING STOPPED, THE VEHICLE TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE SEEMED TO MALFUNCTION AND THE CAR WAS STUCK ON THE FREEWAY WITH TRAFFIC MOVING AROUND THE CAR, CREATING A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE VIN WAS PART OF A GROUP OF VINS THAT RECEIVED BAD SOFTWARE THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE APPEARED TO OPERATE NORMALLY AND IT WAS ULTIMATELY TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE VEHICLE HAS ALSO EXPERIENCED CERTAIN ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS STARTING ON THE FIRST DAY OF OWNERSHIP. *TR
THE AUTOMATED PARKING FEATURE ON THE CAR DOES NOT WORK. OUR VEHICLE WENT UP ON A CURB AND ALMOST HIT A CAR AND A TREE WHEN WE TRIED USING THIS FEATURE. WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE MANUFACTURER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, ALL OTHER 2015 MODELS HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, AND THE MANUFACTURER IS LOOKING INTO A FIX. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY. *TR
I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND WHEN I WENT TO GO THE CAR WOULD NOT GO INTO DRIVE - IT WOULD ONLY ROLL BACKWARDS. I ROLLED BACKWARDS INTO ANOTHER CAR. AFTER THE ACCIDENT MY CAR WOULD ALSO NOT GO INTO PARK. I HAD TO STAY IN THE CAR WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE UNTIL THE POLICE AND TOW TRUCK ARRIVED. LAND ROVER SAID THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND APPLIED A SOFTWARE PATCH TO THE VEHICLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM WITH THE ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A POTENTIALLY FATAL CONDITION THAT SHOULD WARRANT A MANDATORY RECALL. LAND ROVER DOES NOT FEEL THAT CONSUMERS SHOULD BE NOTIFIED, AND THE SOFTWARE PATCH SHOULD ONLY BE APPLIED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. *TR
BRANDNEW 2015.5 RANGE ROVER SPORT CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINTS ARE EXTREMELY RUSTED ON THE SHAFT. *TR
THE FUEL SYSTEM OF THE 2015 RANGE ROVER SPORT DOES NOT ALLOW THE USER TO APPROPRIATELY FILL THE GAS TANK WITH FUEL WITHOUT THE PUMP SHUTTING OFF AFTER JUST EVERY COUPLE OF GALLONS. THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW THAT THE TANK IS FULL WITHOUT FILLING THE TANK TO THE POINT THAT GAS SPILLS OUT NECK OF THE GAS TANK. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER TWICE FOR THE PROBLEM. LAND ROVER ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THE FUEL TANK AND THEY HAVE REPRODUCED THE PROBLEM EVER TIME THEY HAVE TESTED IT. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY AS WELL AS ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM. THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE IS NOT ABLE TO FILL THE TANK WITHOUT MANY RESETS OF THE PUMP AND ULTIMATELY SPILLING FUEL TO KNOW THAT THE TANK IS FULL. I HAVE TAKEN THIS CASE TO LAND ROVER CORPORATE OFFICES AND THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE BUT SAID THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT AT THIS TIME. *TR
