VEHICLE STUTTERS WHEN ACCELERATING WHICH CAUSES SAFETY ISSUES. THIS HAPPENS WHEN TAKING OFF.
THE UV PROTECTION ON THE NAVIGATION SCREEN IS COMING OFF LOOKS LIKE IT HAS BEEN SCRATCHED WHEN I ASKED LEXUS ABOUT THIS I WAS TOLD MY WARRANTY WAS UP AND THAT IT WOULD COST ME ABOUT 950.00 TO REPLACE IT. I SEARCHED THE PROBLEM ON LINE AND MANY PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS LEXUS IS A WHERE OF THE PROBLEM AND WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT WHEN IT HAPPENS. I WAS TOLD IF IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED BEFORE MY WARRANTY RAN OUT IT WOULD BE COVERED. IT IS CLEARLY A DEFECT OF THE UV PROTECTION ON THE SCREEN .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 LEXUS NX 200. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V012000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED AN UNKNOWN FAILURE RELATED TO THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED TWO UNKNOWN DEALERS OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. *BF
HELLO I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET INFORMATION IF MY VEHICLE IS PART OF A RECALL . I AM MILITARY OVERSEAS PLEASE ADVISE WHERE I CAN TAKE THE VEHICLE IN GERMANY OR PROVIDE ME WITH A LETTER THAT IS NOT ABLE TO FIX HERE SO WHEN I MOVE BACK IN A FEW MONTHS I CAN SHIP IT.
LEXUS HAS ISSUED A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE AND DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO REPAIR, I COULD BE IN EXTREME DANGER. THEY NEED TO REPAIR IMMEDIATELY OR, GIVE ME ANOTHER VEHICLE.
BAD HEAD ON COLLISION AND MY AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, SEATBELT DIDN'T KEEP ME FROM POUNDING MY FACE INTO WHEEL MY CAR AND OTHER BOTH ARE A TOTAL LOSS CITY STREET DRIVING STRAIGHT . CURRENTLY IN INSURANCE COMPANY HANDS CAN GET PICTURES.
WAS ENTERING HIGHWAY AND REACHED SPEEDS OF ABOUT 70MPH WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE SUNROOF EXPLODED AND SHATTERED. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED LEXUS AS I KNEW NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY HIT MY CAR AT THOSE SPEEDS AND NOT COME FLYING THROUGH THE ROOF AND DAMAGE THE FRAME AND OTHER MOVING PARTS. THE ONLY THING THAT SAVED ME WAS THAT I HAD THE INTERIOR SLIDE HATCH HALFWAY CLOSED SO GLASS DIDN'T ENTER THE VEHICLE. I IMMEDIATELY SHUT IT AND DROVE TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE AGENT WHO LOOKED AT MY CAR REPORTED THAT THIS TYPE OF INCIDENT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST AND IT LOOKED REMOTELY SIMILAR. WE CHECKED FOR A ROCK LIKE STRUCTURE BY SHINING A LIGHT IN THE ROOF AREA AND NOTHING WAS FOUND. I CONTACTED LEXUS EXECUTIVE OFFICE AND WHILE THEY WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL, THE THEORY THAT SOMETHING HIT MY CAR WAS NOT SUPPORTED BY THE LAW OF PHYSICS OR MOTION. IF SOMETHING HIT THE TOP OF THE VEHICLE WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 70MPH THE SPEED OF IMPACT FROM THE OBJECT WOULD BE DOUBLED EVEN TRIPLED AND DEFINITELY INSIDE MY CAR OR ON TOP OF MY HEAD. THE TRAJECTORY PATH FROM THIS OBJECT HAD TO BE SPOT ON AND COME FROM EXTREME HEIGHTS AND DISTANCE TO LAND ON TOP OF THE CAR. THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE VEHICULAR DAMAGE AND I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY HURT IF THAT WERE THE CASE AS THE HOLE IS MORE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. ALL IN ALL NO ONE WAS HURT AND THANKFULLY MY SUNROOF WILL BE REPLACED. I FEEL AS THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MORE THAN SEVERAL OCCASIONS AS TO WHY I WAS TAKEN CARE OF SO QUICKLY. I JUST LEARNED THAT THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IN ANOTHER STATE ABOUT THE RX SUNROOF EXPLODING.
ON 7/29/2018 - WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN ROUTINE STREET (NON-HIGHWAY) TRAFFIC I FELT A SLIGHT DRAG AND THEN THE YELLOW WARNING LIGHT APPEARED INDICATING 'AWD SYSTEM MALFUNCTION 2WD ENGAGED.' LESS THAN A WEEK EARLIER I HAD THIS PROBLEM ADDRESSED AT A LOCAL AUTO SHOP AND THEIR DIAGNOSTIC INDICATED THIS WAS A TURBO GATE PROBLEM AND THE GATE WAS NOT CLOSING ELECTRONICALLY. I WAS ADVISED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER IF THE PROBLEM RETURNS. I HAVE CHECKED ONLINE AND SEE THIS APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM FOR OTHER NX300T OWNERS AND CONSIDER THIS MALFUNCTION CAN BE CATASTROPHIC SHOULD THIS MALFUNCTION OCCUR WHILE DRIVING DURING BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS. IN ADDITION TO THIS PROBLEM I WAS HIGHWAY DRIVING APPROXIMATELY DECEMBER 2018 WHEN I EXPERIENCED THE VEHICLE SURGINDAS THOUGH HYDROPLANING BY THERE WAS NO BAD WEATHER AT THE TIME. I HAVE NOT HAD A REPEAT OF THIS OCCURRENCE.
JUST OVER 50,000 MILES. A/C BLOWING VERY HOT AIR, EVEN AFTER A/C TURNED OFF. NOT GETTING OUT SIDE AIR. INSIDE TEMPERATURE WOULD GO ABOVE 90 DEGREES F. NO ENGINE WARNINGS AND ANY OTHER SHORT OF INDICATION.

BOUGHT A BRAND NEW NX300H ON 12/29/14 IN NJ. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 75 MPH AND WHEN I WENT TO DECELERATE THE ENGINE STARTED JERKING LIKE THE CAR WAS BREAKING DOWN. I'VE GONE TO DIFFERENT DEALERS...ONE TOLD ME THEY FELT IT AND KEPT THE CAR THEN TO WENT ON TO TELL ME THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG INFO AND IT WASN'T MY CAR. THE OTHER DEALER TOLD ME RECENTLY THEY TESTED IT AGAINST ANOTHER NX300H AND IT DRIVES THE SAME...THE OPERATIONS MANAGER TOLD ME THEY HAVEN'T HAD AN NX SINCE NOVEMBER. HAD MAJOR VISIBILITY ISSUES FROM DAY ONE WITH THE WIPERS...MASSIVE ICE FORMED ON THEM AND A SMEAR RIGHT IN MY VISION LINE KEPT FORMING. HAD TO BRING IT TO THREE DEALERS BEFORE I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A PART MISSING FROM THE WIPERS AND THEN ON THE PAPERWORK THEY SAID HOUSING WAS CRACKED..AGAIN, THE FISHY COMMUNICATION DOESN'T MAKE IT CLEAR WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. THE CAR HAS MANY OTHER ISSUES BUT THESE TWO ARE THE BIGGEST SAFETY ISSUES. I'VE STARTED THE PROCESS TO MAKE IT A LEMON SO WE WILL SEE WHERE TI GOES. ALTHOUGH I THINK IT NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED SINCE IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND THE DEALERS ARE MAKING STUFF UP BASICALLY ON WHAT THEY COMPARE IT TO AND ETC. ANOTHER ISSUE IS THE MPG. THEY TRIED TO TELL ME I DONT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A HYBRID. HOWEVER MY FATHER HAS THE RX350H AND I AM ABLE TO GET BETTER MPG WITH HIS CAR THEN MINE. I'VE NEVER SEEN 30. I KNOW ITS AN ISSUE WITH MY PARTICULAR CAR BC I'VE SPOKEN TO OTHER OWNERS AND THEY ARE NOT EXPERIENCING THIS.
