The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Challenger. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph when the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a median which resulted in none of the air bags deploying. 2 people were injured and were sitting in the driver and front passenger side seat. The contact sought medical treatment and sustained whiplash, concussion, and fiancé sustained contusion on ribs, hematoma in the right knee, concussion, contusion on left thigh. A police report was taken and the vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The contact stated no warning lights were illuminated. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000

The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The contact called the local dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 57,469.
I went to Jiffy Lube on June 7,2021 for a regular oil change and they discovered that I have a major oil leak in my transmission panel and my car is only at 68,000 miles that’s a estimated guess but it’s for sure around that mileage

SCREEN MELTED FROM THE HEAT, RADIO GLITCHES, USB PORT GLITCHES, DOESN'T RECOGNIZE DEVICE, UCONNECT GLITCHES, SCREEN GLITCHES AND DOESN'T STAY CONNECTED AND OVERHEATS. SOMETIMES THE VOLUME BUTTON TOO WORKING.
RADIO MALFUNCTIONS, FAVORITE SONG/ ARTISTS DISPLAYS, WILL CONTINUE TO SHOW SAME SONG OVER AND OVER AGAIN EVEN WHEN NOT ON, FREEZES, AND NO VOLUME. DOES NOT MATTER IF THE CAR IS IN PARK, DRIVING OR IDELING.THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS.

I WANTED TO REPORT THAT I WAS INJURED ON 10/6/2020. WHEN MY 2017 V6 CHALLENGER WENT OUT OF GEAR FROM "PARK" AND DRUG ME DOWN, AS IT ROLLED BACKWARDS (WHILE IN "PARK"). UCONNECT 8.4IN SCREEN STARTED TO BECOME BLURRY, LIKE THE SCREEN WAS PEELING AWAY OR DELAMINATING CAUSING MALFUNCTION IN TOUCH CONTROLS, WHICH INCLUDES CONTROLLING VEHICLE PERFORMANCE AND SETTINGS. DEALER SAID SCREEN WAS CRACKED, NOT OF MY OWN DOING. THEY STATED THAT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, THOUGH VEHICLE WAS CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED WITH ADDITIONAL WARRANTY PURCHASED. VEHICLE OWNED FOR 7MTHS AND DRIVEN 6000 MILES.

I WAS DRIVING MY 2017 CHALLENGER RT WITH ONLY 22K MILES DOWN A CITY STREET. AND WHILE APPROACHING A STOP SIGN AND MY FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL COMPLETELY BROKE OFF. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY CUT OFF ON ME FORCING ME TO PULL OVER THE CAR LOST POWER.VERY VERY UNSAFE. I PULL OVER AND WAS ABLE TO PRESS THE PUSH START AND THE VEHICLE STARTED AGAIN ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATE IT CUT COMPLETELY OFF AGAIN LOSING ALL POWER I END UP GETTING THE VEHICLE TOWED. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING TOW THE POWER CAME BACK ON THEN LOST ALL POWER AGAIN. I THOUGHT IT WAS MY BATTERY SO I PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY HOWEVER THAT WAS NOT THE CASE TRAVELING BACK HOW THAT SAME DAY IT CUT OFF TWICE ON THE HIGHWAY SCARING THE YOU KNOW WHAT OUT OF ME. I MANAGED TO MAKE HOME. THE NEXT MORNING I WENT TO START THE CAR AND THE POWER COMPLETELY DEAD SO I TRIED PLAYING WITH THE BATTERY AND POWER CUT ON SO I CRANKED UP THE VEHICLE AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE TO WORK THE POWER CUT OUT AGAIN RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD IN FRONT OF MY APARTMENT COMPLEX. SO I STARTED THE VEHICLE AGAIN AND PARKED IT THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP.
THE DASHBORD SAYS THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS SERVICE. I PUT THE CAR ON PARK, IT STARTS BLINKING SAYING CAR NOT ON PARK AND ONCE I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE THE ENGINE TURNS OFF. PLUS THE SWITCH STAYS ON SO I HAD TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY.
ALL TOO OFTEN WHILE DRIVING....... DISTRACTING, USELESS WEATHER ALERTS POP UP ON MY UCONNECT (RADIO)SCREEN. I MUST TAP "OK" TO GET RID OF THEM. I CALLED DODGE, UCONNECT, AND SIRRIUS. NOTHING HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL AT STOPPING THESE ALERTS. THERE IS NO WAY TO DISABLE THEM.
IN NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER OF 2017 AND AGAIN IN JANUARY 2018 AND SERIES OF POWER-TRAIN GEAR CHANGING WHILE DRIVING OCCURRED WHILE ON INTERSTATE I-20 AND 285 AND 85 AND GENERALLY AROUND TOWN WHICH CAUSED TO HAVE TO PULL OVER AND CALL A TOW TRUCK OR PARK UNTIL THE ISSUE WOULD STOP. THE VEHICLES WAS TAKEN TO DON JACKSON AND LANDMARK AND LIITHIA SPRINGS CHRYSLER JEEP AND NO ONE TO THIS POINT HAS REPAIRED IT. THIS CONTINUES TO CAUSE ME TO HAVE TO PULL OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECOMES THE CAR BEGINS TO CHANGE GEARS WITH NO REASON AT ALL AT HIGH SPEEDS. ON 4-27-19 DON JACKSON CHRYSLER PERFORMED A RECALL AND WORK ON THE COMPUTER AND SINCE THEN MY CAR CRUISE CONTROL COMES ON AND GOES OFF WHEN EVER WNATS TO AS WELL THE RADIO AND DASH DISPLAY FLICKERS. THE CRUISE CONTROL IS ALARMING BECAUSE I AM DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS ON THE ROADS AND CAR SUDDENLY SPEEDS UP WITH OUT MY DEPRESSING THE OR INCREASING THE GAS PEDAL. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME I COULD NOT SEE THE TECHNICIAN UNTIL MAY 10, 2019. THIS MATTER ALL TOGETHER POINTS TO A LIFE SAFETY ISSUE AND I WOULD ASK AND HOPE YOUR ORGANIZATION COULD SEND A ENGINEER AND ACCESS THIS VEHICLE. THE DEALS HAVE SAID TO ME WHILE THE CAR THE WAS NEW THAT THEY WOULD NOT PROVIDE A LOANER OF GO TO ANY EXPENSE TO SOLVE THE ISSUES. PLEASE ADVISE

MY OFFICE EXIT CROSSES A 3 LANE ROAD WITH TRAFFIC SPEED LIMIT OF 45 MPH. EXPECTING THE VEHICLE TO MOVE WITHOUT DELAY TRYING TO CROSS TRAFFIC IS DANGEROUS AND I WAS ALMOST HIT BY CROSS TRAFFIC BECAUSE OF THE DELAY. DEALER HAS CHECKED TRANSMISSION AND STATES EVERYTHING IS NORMAL.
BRAKES HAVE WORN INTO ROTOR WITHIN LAST 3 DAYS. RECALL ISSUED FOR CRUISE CONTROL. BOTH SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS ISSUES. CAR BASICALLY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. DEALER WON'T LET MAKE APPOINTMENT UNTIL MID NOVEMBER. CAR HAS LESS THAN 12,000 MILES.

RADIO AND NAVIGATION SCREEN CONSTANTLY TAKEN OVER BY POP-UP MESSAGES ABOUT WEATHER THAT CANNOT BE REMOVED WITHOUT PHYSICALLY TOUCHING THE SCREEN WHILE DRIVING, THUS CAUSING DISTRACTION TO THE DRIVER. THERE IS NO OPTION TO DISABLE THESE, AND THEY POP-UP AS FREQUENTLY AS EVERY 2-3 MINUTES, DESPITE CLOSING THEM. HAVE CALLED DEALERSHIP, SIRIUS/XM AND DODGE MULTIPLE TIMES TO NO AVAIL. CONCERNED THAT DISTRACTED DRIVING AS A RESULT OF UNWANTED MESSAGES POPPING UP IN LARGE FORMAT ON RADIO SCREEN COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
2017 CHALLENGER SCAT PACK 392: TRUNK DECK LID RENDERED INOPERABLE. UNABLE TO ACCESS TRUNK USING KEY FOB FUNCTION, INTERIOR PUSH-BUTTON FUNCTION OR EXTERIOR PUSH-BUTTON FUNCTION. TRUNK DECK LID WILL ONLY OPEN WHILE GAINING ACCESS THROUGH FOLD-DOWN REAR SEATS AND PULLING EMERGENCY LATCH CABLE. PROBLEM OCCURS WHILE VEHICLE IS IN PARK AND STATIONARY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SIERRA MOTORS INC-BILL WALSH AUTO GROUP (510 E NORRIS DR, OTTAWA, IL 61350 (815) 433-1666) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH FAULTY OIL COOLER LINES THAT NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INQUIRED ABOUT NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V496000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL WAS SET TO BEGIN ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2017. THE AFFECTED VINS WERE NOT RELEASED YET. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,700.
