Water ingress on the passenger side from the Windshield, could result in visibility issues and electronics failure as already noted in the bulletin - https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10152016-9999.pdf I was in a car wash when suddenly I noticed the water ingress and Land Rover of Bethesda is not going to take care of the issue even after the Bulletin detail was shared with them

There is a leak from the windshield. A lot of Landrover Discovery’s owners having the same issue and the manufacturer is not fixing it if the vehicle is not on warranty. I called my dealer in Orlando and they told me that I should take it to my insurance but it was not caused by an accident. It is a problem with most Discoveries from 2020 and under. Please help! Summary

The windshield failed allowing rain water to pool in the floorboards of the vehicle. The electronics were destroyed, the damage done was well above $20,000.00. Land Rover didn’t take any responsibility as it was 40 days outside of warranty. The car had less than 40,000 miles on it. Likely my insurance kicked in and declared the vehicle a total loss.

Summary

I have a 2017 Land Rover Discovery with multiple episodes of significant water leakage problems due to a known windshield seal issue on the model as identified by the dealer. During the warranty the windshield and seal were replaced and would then fail twice, on the 2nd occurrence I instructed to the dealer to notate my account with concerns about electrical issues due to the amount of water that entered the dashboard, center console, and overhead electrical. Reviewing my own service records I can see electrical problems occurred on the vehicle with notes to "let it dry out". The final time this happened was just outside of manufacturer's warranty still within the CPO period, we were told it was no longer covered even though this has never been solved. Dealer stated they've never seen this much water come in, we have significant staining and electrical concerns for which LRNA show no concern or remorse. I am uncomfortable being put in a position to sell this car knowing what happened and the potential repair costs (10k+ for significant electrical work) plus the safety concerns of failure. My car has been at the dealer for almost 20 days now with no loaner and no activity on my case. I have spoken to my case worker only twice, once when I opened it and once when she finally answered one of my calls 10 days later. I call every day to ask for updates, the dealer reaches out on my behalf and still no progress has been made. No loaners have been offered, 10 days in I was told I would need to wait another 10 days, plus the dealer indicated at least 3 days to order the windshield (at least 23 days total at the dealership). I believe water entering a vehicle like it did and coming into contact with electrical systems poses a significant threat to the operability and safety of the vehicle with LRNA showing no regard for the situation, happily letting myself or someone else get "stuck" with this problem and the potential failure assocaited with it.

Summary

I purchased a used 2017 Disco sport last July in great condition. After one year of driving it, and reaching a total of 70k miles, the camshaft intake actuator broke off, separating from the car. Clearly highlighting a textbook NHTSA “critical safety defect”. I only noticed the issue due to the check engine light and an engine fluttering noise. My local LR technician openly confirmed with me that this routinely happens with the 2015-2017 discovery sport and other Evoque models, as reported in LR’s technical bulletin (LTB00916NAS5 - Intake Camshaft Variable Cam Timing Actuator - Component Failure). In order to to fix this part I was been quoted $2362.00, and was told the part is essentially the same and could likely break again, putting myself and passengers at serious risk. When I told Land Rover’s customer service center of the issue they said they are not responsible since the warranty only cover the first 50k miles. Since this has been acknowledged by Land Rover as a common component failure, which has led to the part being on back order, it warrants LR to submit a formal recall on the part. Fixing it should also be free of charge. I feel it is unethical and irresponsible to Land Rover’s customers, to expect them to pay for an engineering failure both with their wallet and potentially their lives.

Summary

I have received many faults since owning this car (purchased: 10/19/2019); child safety-restraint fault, gear-box failure, turn signal in-operable intermittently Occurred approx. 11/2/2019 - The failure in turn signals intermittently almost resulted in a collision with someone speeding down the turning lane as I was merging over, the other drivers speed required him to travel into oncoming lanes to safely get around me without collision. Taken to Land Rover servicing center and in their possession from approx. 11/2/19 - 2/3/2020 - after having the car back for 9 days started to receiving the same fault messages, was taken back to Land Rover and in their possession from 2/13/2020 - 4/21/2020 Occurred approx. 6/1 - car completely lost acceleration on the freeway with a "gear box" fault message and was unable to accelerate in the middle of construction with reduced/split lanes with very few safe pull out areas for emergencies leading to impeding traffic due to no acceleration, using the quickly decelerating speed I had to get to an area I could pull far enough off of the freeway. After pulling off the side of the road and restarting the car in attempt to get to a exit ramp or safer location, I was presented with the same fault message and the car would not accelerate. Car had to be towed from location to Land Rover servicing center on 6/1/2021 - current. Vehicle has been inspected by Land Rover service department for extensive periods of time on several occasions, each time I am told they are unable to replicate the issue to find the problem therefore are unable to resolve the electrical faults that are risking my safety and other drivers. Each time the car is returned to me, similar electrical faults have appeared with no resolution. No insurance/police reports as physical damage/accidents. Can provide documentation of incidents and prior logs at a later time/upon request. Do not currently have access to a scanner. Car is available upon request for inspection

Summary

The door hinge cables within the door panels comes loose. This prevents the passenger the ability to open the door of the vehicle from the inside. At first my front passenger door came loose so I took it back to the Land Rover dealership and had it fixed by them removing the panel and re-hooking the door cable. Now my driver front door has come loose and I am unable to open my door from the inside. I am now currently waiting on the Land Rover dealership to return my calls to have this fixed. At first this was aggravating, however this is now a safety issue. I have an infant who began gagging and I was unable to get out of the car to get to my backseat to assist my baby from possibly chocking. I had to adjust my seat and then crawl over the seat to escape out the passenger door. This would be an even greater safety concern for the disable, in the case of an accident, or even a fire.

THERE IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE IN LANDROVER DISCOVERY 2017 THAT ABRUPTLY SHUTS DOWN THE ENGINE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. ON NOV 20TH, 2020 MY WIFE WAS TRAVELLING TO PITTSBURGH PA ON ROUTE 76 PA TURNPIKE. NEAR BRADFORDFORD, PA THE ENGINE SUDDENLY SHUT ITSELF DOWN WITHOUT ANY PRE-WARNING. THE CAR STALLED WITH NO ABILITY OR AMPLE TIME FOR HER TO STEER TO THE SHOULDER. UNTIL HIGHWAY PATROL ARRIVED, SHE WAS COMPLETELY LEFT IN A HELPLESS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. ANY BIG TRUCK COULD'VE EASILY REAR ENDED HER AND KILLED HER. HIGHWAY PATROL AND TURNPIKE AUTHORITY SERVICE PERSONNEL ARRIVED ONSITE, INSPECTED THE CAR BUT DID NOT FIND ANY APPARENT ISSUE. WITHOUT ANYTHING DONE ON THE CAR, AFTER 15 MINS OR SO THE ENGINE STARTED NORMALLY AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED.

Summary

THE BACK LEFT PASSENGER DOOR OPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND WHEN I STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR IT WOULD NOT SHUT, IT WOULD SPRING OPEN AND NOT LATCH. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW. THE FIRST TIME IT OCCURRED ONE MONTH AGO AND I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY CLAIMED THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THEY ALLEGED TO HAVE DONE A RESET WHICH THEY UNDERSTOOD WOULD SOLVE THE SAFETY ISSUE. YESTERDAY, APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH LATER, IT OCCURRED AGAIN. I WAS DRIVING ON A MAIN ROADWAY WITH MANY CARS AROUND ME AND I NOTICED THE DOOR WAS AJAR AND IN RISK OF HITTING THE CARS DRIVING BY ME. I IMMEDIATELY SLOWED DOWN AND PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR AND IT WOULD NOT LATCH CLOSE. BOTH TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING AT MODERATE SPEED, AT AROUND 35 MPH, ON MAIN ROADWAYS WITH MANY OTHER CARS AROUND ME, SO IT WAS DIFFICULT TO IMMEDIATELY PULL OVER AND AVOID DAMAGE AND HARM. YESTERDAY, WHEN I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD SEND A TOWING TRUCK. AFTER WAITING 2 HOURS ON SIDE OF ROAD, MY HUSBAND CAME AND TAPED THE DOOR SHUT SO THAT I COULD DRIVE IT TO THE DEALER. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE DEALER THE SERVICE SUPERVISOR CAME OUT AND VIEWED IT AND SAW IT FOR HIMSELF AND EXPERIMENTED WITH THE FACT THAT THE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE, NO MATTER WHAT EFFORT WAS MADE. THE DEALER IS IN POSSESSION OF THE CAR NOW, APPARENTLY CHECKING WHAT THE ISSUE IS AND TO THEN FIND A SOLUTION. HOWEVER, I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE THAT THEY WILL IN FACT SOLVE THIS SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED ONE TIME AND THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT AND IT OCCURRED AGAIN ONE MONTH LATER. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE I HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN WHO SIT IN THE BACK SEAT AND ALSO OTHER PEOPLE/VEHICLES COULD BE AFFECTED BY A DOOR FLYING OPEN WHILE A CAR IS IN MOTION IN A PUBLIC ROAD.

Summary

2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY HSE, MAJOR WATER LEAK FROM THE UPPER CORNER, PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. THE LEAK HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS OR SNOWS (BOTH STANDING STILL OR IN MOTION). THE WATER SO FAR HAS TOUCHED THE A-PILLAR AIRBAG, THE SAFETY CAMERAS ON THE WINDSHIELD AND OTHER ELECTRICAL WIRING. ADDITIONALLY THE WATER FINDS ITS WAY TO THE CARPETING ON THE FLOOR. IN ONE OCCASION TODAY (1/8/2020) WATER SPILLED INTO MY HEAD FROM RIGHT ABOVE THE REAR-VIEW MIRROR WHILE I WAS TAKING AN EXIT RAMP. THIS GOT ME DISTRACTED FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS, ALMOST RUNNING OFF THE ROAD. LAND ROVER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, HOWEVER THEY WAIT FOR THE CUSTOMER TO REPORT THE PROBLEM BEFORE THEY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT SEEMS THAT THE OWNERS HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE AS EARLY AS LATE 2017 (BASED ON INTERNET BLOGS). IT ALSO SEEMS THAT THERE IS A FLAW WITH THE EARLY PRODUCTION MODELS, REQUIRING LAND ROVER TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE, HOWEVER AFTER OVER 50 DAYS OF REPORTING THE ISSUE, LAND ROVER HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE THE REPLACEMENT PART. AS A CONSUMER I BELIEVE THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE, MAINLY BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE WITH SAFETY COMPONENTS, IN ADDITION TO DISTRACTING THE DRIVER DUE TO UNEXPECTED WATER DROP WHILE OPERATING THE CAR.

I WAS DRIVING ON MAIN ROAD AT THE SPEED LIMIT (45 MPH). I HAD SLOWED DOWN AS I OBSERVED A CAR PULLING OUT AHEAD OF ME ONTO THE ROAD. AS I GAVE MY VEHICLE GAS IN ORDER TO GET BACK UP TO SPEED, I FELT A PAUSE IN THE ENGINE AND THEN THE CAR COMPLETELY LOST POWER- THE ENGINE STOPPED, THE RED BATTERY ICON APPEARED ON THE DASH, AND MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE SCREEN WITH THE HEADING "SPECIAL PROGRAM SUSPENDED" OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT-- I HAD NO TIME TO READ THAT MESSAGE AS I HAD TO STEER MY CAR AS FAR TO THE RIGHT AS I WAS ABLE TO. I TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD NOT START AND THE MESSAGE DISAPPEARED-- I HAD NO CHANCE TO READ IT AS I WAS ON A BUSY AND HEAVY TRAVELED ROAD AND HAD TO ENSURE I WAS SAFELY PULLED OVER. UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME AS TO WHAT CAUSED THIS MALFUNCTION. THIS CREATED AN UNSAFE CONDITION AS THE CAR LOST POWER WITH NO FOREWARNING. I AM LUCKY THAT IT DID NOT HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY ON WHICH I TRAVEL MOST OF THE TIME. I CONTACTED LAND ROVER ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THE CAR WAS PUT ON A FLATBED AND BROUGHT TO THE DEALER.

Summary

ON JANUARY 2, 2019, WHILE DRIVING, THE "BRAKE PADS WORN" LIGHT CAME ON IN MY VEHICLE. I WAS ON A CITY STREET, IN MOTION WITHOUT MY BRAKES DEPRESSED, BUT RATHER MY FOOT ON THE GAS DRIVING. I IN TURN CONTACTED LAND ROVER CUSTOMER SERVICE TO SEE IF THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AS THIS LIGHT APPEARED WHEN MY VEHICLE HAD 13,680 DRIVEN MILES ON IT. I WAS ADVISED AT THAT TIME TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION OF THE BRAKES. I DID AS I WAS TOLD, TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP 1.09.2019--THEIR EARLIEST DATE AVAILABLE. THEY ADVISED MY THAT MY BACK ROTORS WERE RUSTING, THAT THE LEFT BACK BRAKE WAS 2MM AND THE RIGHT WAS 4MM. THEY RECOMMENDED AT THAT TIME TO REPLACE ONLY THE LEFT SIDE. WHEN I QUESTIONED WHY THEY WERE NOT WEARING EQUALLY, THE SERVICE ADVISOR SUGGESTED THAT PERHAPS BECAUSE IT WAS MY FIRST TIME DRIVING AN SUV--WHICH WAS NOT THE CASE AND I TOLD HIM THIS AT THAT TIME. I ALSO ASKED WHY THE ROTORS WERE RUSTING SO QUICKLY, HE STATED THAT PERHAPS IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE AREA OF THE COUNTRY WHERE WE LIVE--I REFUTTED THIS STATING I HAVE OWNED OTHER SUVS BY OTHER MANUFACTURERS ALL WHILE LIVING IN THE SAME AREA AND DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE. I DID NOT ACCEPT THEIR QUOTE AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED ELSEWHERE--OF WHICH THEY TOO COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY THE BRAKES WENT TO QUICKLY ON THE VEHICLE AND COMMENTED TO ME THAT THIS IS ABNORMAL. I CONTACTED LAND ROVER CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY STATED THEY WOULD INVESTIGATE THE ISSUE--THEY SIMPLY CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND NOTHING MORE, ADVISING ME THAT THE BRAKES NEED REPAIRED OUT OF POCKET. MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WHERE THE ROTORS SHOULD NOT TYPICALLY RUST THIS QUICKLY, THE BRAKE PADS SHOULD NOT BE, AS THE SERVICE ADVISOR STATED BE "CHEWED UP FROM THE RUSTING ROTORS." LAST, THE BRAKES SHOULD NOT BE WEARING UNEVENLY ON THE VEHICLE.

Summary

I WAS DRIVING FROM WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY TO LONG ISLAND VIA I-695 HEADING TOWARD THE THROGS NECK BRIDGE ON 12/12/18. I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE JUST BEFORE THE LAST EXIT BEFORE THE BRIDGE WHEN MY DASHBOARD WENT DARK, THE RED BATTERY LIGHT (BELOW THE SPEEDOMETER) CAME ON, I LOST POWER AND STEERING. LUCKILY A SMALL SHOULDER OPENED UP AND I WAS ABLE TO TUG THE WHEEL LEFT TO GET INTO THE SHOULDER BEFORE MY CAR COMPLETELY ROLLED TO A STOP. I AVOIDED A CRASH BUT IT WAS LUCK. I HAD TO BE TOWED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND BACK TO THE DEALER. CLEARLY THIS WAS NO BATTERY ISSUE (AS DRIVING RECHARGES A BATTER). THE DEALER'S SERVICE CENTER DIAGNOSED IT AS A DISCONNECTED VACUUM LINE. THE REPAIR NOTES INDICATE THAT IT WAS RECONNECTED USING A "ZIP TIE." WHEN I INQUIRED ABOUT WHETHER THAT WAS THE APPROPRIATE FIX, THE DEALER SENT ME LR'S TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN DESCRIBING THE REPAIR FOR A CERTAIN RANGE OF VINS, INCLUDING MINE. THE ZIP TIE IS THE LAST STEP - THE BULLETIN ALSO SAYS THE LOCKING RING NEEDS TO BE DISCARDED AND A NEW ONE INSTALLED. THE DEALER STILL HAS NOT CONFIRMED WITH ME (2 DAYS LATER) THAT THEY DID THIS. IN ANY EVENT, THIS IS MORE THAN A TECHNICAL SERVICE ISSUE; THIS COULD BE A LIFE OR DEATH ISSUE THAT WARRANTS A RECALL FOR AFFECTED VEHICLES.

THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION ON AN SURFACE AND IS VERY DISTRACTING AND IS ALSO SEEMINGLY A SAFETY PROBLEM AS REPORTED BY THE NHTSA AS "NOT HAVING THOSE WELDS MEANS THE STRENGTH OF THE STRUCTURE IS REDUCED AND THAT COULD "INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY IN A CRASH" SUBARU SAID. IN THIS CASE THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE FIXED, AND IN THE LAND ROVER ISSUE I HAVE THE PROBLEMS COULD NOT BE FIXED OVER 6 REPAIR ATTEMPTS ACROSS 2 DIFFERENT DISCOVERY SPORT VEHICLES, WHERE THE FIRST ONE WAS SWAPPED FOR A SECOND NEW ONE WHICH BOTH EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM.

WAS DRIVING 60 MILES PER HOUR, APPROXIMATELY, AND TWO WARNING MESSAGES APPEARED. GEARBOX FAULT AND PARKING BRAKE FAULT. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OUT OF TRAFFIC LANE BY COASTING AND STOP ON SIDE OF ROAD. PLACED VEHICLE IN PARK AND READ THE FAULTS AGAIN. WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE GEAR SELECTOR OUT OF PARK. SHUT OFF ENGINE AND RESTARTED WITH FOOT ON BRAKE. STILL SAME FAULT MESSAGES ALTERNATING. UNABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK WITH FOOT ON BRAKE. CALLED LAND ROVER ASSISTANCE AND THEY SUGGESTED TURNING VEHICLE BACK OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN. NO RESOLUTION AFTER THREE TRIES. VEHICLE TOWED BY FLATBED WRECKER TO SOUTHWEST LAND ROVER HOUSTON TEXAS. WRECKER DRIVER STATED THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH LAND ROVERS IN GENERAL AND WAS VERY HELPFUL. AT DEALER THE VEHICLE WAS UNLOADED FROM WRECKER AND NO PROBLEMS FOUND. DEALER DID NOT HAVE EXPLANATION FOR REASON NO POWER AND COULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. NO FAULT CODES WERE RECORDED BY COMPUTER. IF ROAD DID NOT HAVE SHOULDER, COULD HAVE CAUSED SEROUS OR FATAL ACCIDENT. MANY ROADS IN HOUSTON DO NOT HAVE ESCAPE LANES OR SHOULDERS AND SPEEDS ARE IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. CONCERNED NO FAULT CODES RECORDED AND NO GUARANTEE WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.

Summary

THE REAR FOG LIGHTS ARE PLACED DIRECTLY IN THE LINE OF SIGHT OF MOST PASSENGER CARS. THE BUTTON ON THE STALK MAKES IT TOO EASY FOR DRIVERS TO DEPRESS IT, BLINDING MOTORISTS FOLLOWING THE CAR AND CAUSING DANGEROUS VISIBILITY ISSUES. IN FOUR INSTANCES IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS, I HAVE HAD TO ALTER MY PATH OR PULL OFF THE ROADWAY TO AVOID THIS MAKE OF VEHICLE RUNNING REAR FOGS IN THE BROAD DAYLIGHT.

Summary

I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT HSE FOR MY DAUGHTER ON MAY 20, 2017 FROM RUSNAK JAGUAR/LAND ROVER IN ANAHEIM HILLS, CALIFORNIA AND IT HAS BEEN AT THE LAND ROVER DEALERSHIP MORE THAN IT HAS BEEN IN MY HOUSE. WE NOTICED WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF BUYING THE VEHICLE THAT THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE PASSENGER'S SIDE. THE DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED THE NOISE BEING THE B PILLAR. THE SERVICE MANAGER INSTRUCTED A LAND ROVER LEAD SERVICE TECH TO DO A ROAD TEST WITH ME AND HE VERIFIED THE CREAKING NOISE. WE HAVE LEFT THE VEHICLE WITH THE DEALERSHIP MANY TIMES AND AFTER SEVERAL FAILED ATTEMPTS TO FIX THE B PILLAR (IT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED THAT SERVICE EVEN USED CAULKING TO TRY AND FIX THE B PILLAR) WHICH ALSO FAILED. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE LAND ROVER DEALERSHIP/SERVICE CENTER CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM AFTER THE 4TH TIME. I PAID CASH FOR THIS VEHICLE AND I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL. I HAVE SUBMITTED EMAILS AND SPOKE WITH THE DEALER ABOUT THE CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN. THIS IS A BLATANT DISREGARD FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY; BEING THAT THE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF THIS VEHICLE IS UNDERMINED. THIS 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT HSE IS A COMPLETE LEMON AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY SINCE THE LAND ROVER SERVICE CENTER HAS HAD NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS AND AMPLE TIME TO REPAIR B PILLAR. ON THE DEALERSHIPS LAST ATTEMPT TO FIX THE B PILLAR (BY USING CAULKING) IT IS STILL CREAKING WITH A METAL SOUND.

Summary

THE 2017 DISCOVERY HAS BEEN DESIGNED WITH ONLY 4 AIR VENTS IN THE FRONT DASH AND 2 VERY WEAK AIR VENTS IN THE 2ND ROW. THIS IS A 3 ROW PASSENGER VEHICLE WITH NO VENTS IN THE 3RD ROW. THE CAR IS MISSING AT LEAST 4 VENTS AND IS CREATING A SAFETY HAZARD IN HOT AND COLD ENVIRONMENTS. I CANNOT HAVE PASSENGERS OR ANIMALS IN THE REAR OF THE CAR DUE TO THE LACK OF VENTILATION IN THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, DUE TO ATTEMPTING TO COOL THE CAR DOWN, RUNNING THE CAR WITH MAX AC IS GIVING ME ONLY 9-10 MPG. CAR IS ADVERTISED AS 16 MPG CITY. THIS IS A BLATANT DESIGN AND SAFETY ISSUE FOR CLIMATE CONTROL AND FALSE MPG STANDARDS.
