The contact owns a 2017 Lexus IS200T. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, grinding noises were heard and the front driver side tire would jump. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer test drove the vehicle and diagnosed it with tire scrub. The vehicle was taken to another dealer Lexus of Seattle (20300 Hwy 99, Lynnwood, WA 98036), and diagnosed as tire scrub from suspension and tire friction with the geometry of the vehicle from manufacturing. The contact was informed by the dealer that the grinding noises were normal, and no correction was needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not provide assistance since the contact had purchased the vehicle from a third party. The failure mileage was approximately 26,000.

ADDITIONALLY, WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO PROPERLY SHIFT GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER LEXUS OF WESLEY CHAPEL LOCATED AT 5350 EAGLESTON BLVD, WESLEY CHAPEL, FL 33544 WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V682000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCED SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT YET NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE PUSH TO START BUTTON WAS DEPRESSED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THE VEHICLE TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V012000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. AUTONATION TOYOTA CERRITOS (18700 STUDEBAKER RD, CERRITOS, CA 90703, (562) 802-4000) WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 58,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
LEASED A BRAND NEW LEXUS 2017 IS200T F SPORT. HAD TO GET NEW BRAKE PADS ON THE FRONT AT 13K MILES AND THEN AGAIN AT 22K MILES. I DRIVE THE CAR ABOUT 10K MILES A YEAR ONLY FOR SHORT WORK AND SCHOOL COMMUTE. I HAVE NEVER RACED OR OVER USED THE BRAKES REAR BRAKE PADS ARE STILL ORIGINAL. .
SRS AIRBAG MALFUNCTION
HAS THROWN A CODE ABOUT AIRBAGS. I ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH AT TIMES THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START. ATTACHED MULTIPLE PICTURES (DEPRESS BRAKE, BRAKE FLUID LOW)THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT SET ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. (RADAR CAN'T BE SET.) I DIDN'T GET A PICTURE I WAS DRIVING. I HAVE HAD A LOT OF ISSUES WITH MY CAR. WITHIN THE FIRST 5 MONTHS OF PURCHASING THE VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LEXUS OF SERRAMONTE (700 SERRAMONTE BLVD IN COLMA, CA), BUT THE FAILRE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND RECOMMENDED THE CONTACT FILE FOR THE STATE LEMON LAW. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 320.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) recalled certain 2018-2019 4Runner, Highlander, Camry, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma and Tundra, and Lexus RC 300, RC 350, GS 350, GX 460, IS 300, LC 500, LS 500, LX 570, RX 350L, and 2019 Toyota Avalon and Corolla, and certain Lexus NX 300, and ES 350 vehicles on January 13, 2020. On March 4, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include certain 2014-2015 Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser, 2018 Avalon, Corolla, 2014 FJ Cruiser, 2017 Sienna and Lexus 2018 ES 350, 2018-2019 GS 300, 2013-2014 GS350, 2014-2015 GX 460, IS 350 and LX 570, 2014 IS F, 2018-2019 IS 350, LC 500H and LS 500H, 2013-2015 LS 460, 2015 NX 200T and RC350, 2017 RC 200T and RX 350. Toyota also removed the 2018-2019 Toyota 4Runner and Land Cruiser and 2018-2019 Lexus GX 460 and LX 570 and 2019 NX300 from inclusion in this recall. On March 19, 2020, Toyota expanded the recall to include 2015 Lexus GS350 vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
