IN ON ABOUT 2018 DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW MOTOR FAILED WITH WINDOW IN DOWN POSITION ON INTERSTATE IN THUNDERSTORM CAUSING LOW VISIBILITY AND RAIN AND SOME HAIL TO ENTER. DEALER CHANGED OR REPAIRED. THEN ABOUT 08/10/20 THE WINDOW MOTOR FAILED AGAIN. SOON AFTERWARDS THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW MOTOR FAILED CAUSING ELECTRICAL SMELL / SMOKE TO ENGULF CAR INTERIOR. I'VE TRIED MULITPLE TIMES FOR MITSUBISHI TO REPLY. TODAY,. A SPOKE PERSON TOLD ME I NEED TO TAKE THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION. NOTE:. I CAN HEAR THE MOTOR ON DRIVER'S WINDOW WHEN PUSHING THE UP/ DOWN BUTTON.
I HAVE A 2017 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE G4 AND THE CAR HAS LOST TOTAL POWER. THIS VEHICLE IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD AND COMPLETELY BROKE DOWN.
TWICE ABOUT 6 MONTHS APART DRIVING CITY SPEEDS THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS GONE TO THE FLOOR, A QUICK PUMP AND EVERYTHING IS GOOD BUT IT SCARES YOU TO DEATH! NOTHING CAN BE FOUND WRONG AND ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTY?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE G4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,000.
THE VEHICLE WAS SHOWING NO SIGNS INITIALLY THEN AS I ENTERED THE HWY, THE ENGINE LIGHT, BATTERY AND ALL LIGHTS CAME ON. THEN IT STARTED BANGING LOUDLY AND PULLED OVER TO EXIT BUT THEN THE CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN AND DIED ON THE SHOULDER OF THE HWY. I BARELY MADE IT OFF AND IT RESTED ON THE EXIT RAMP. I WAS FEARFUL AND SHOCKED AS I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS PREVIOUS TO THIS ISSUE. CAR WAS TOWED TO OUR MECHANIC, HE TURNED THE WORK DOWN BECAUSE IT WAS INTERNAL TO THE ENGINE. THEN IT WAS CONFIRMED BY FRANK LETA MITSUBISHI THAT IT WAS CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM ENTERPRISE 02/09/2019 AS A SECOND OWNER WITH THEIR APPROVAL THAT IT WAS A GREAT CAR. IT IS NOT AND ALL SO ABRUPT!
AS FOR THE MOST PART I LOVE MY CAR BUT THE INTERIOR FOGS UP AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE . YOU CAN NOT DRIVE THIS CAR IF THE WIND IS BLOWING. IT'S HARD TO KEEP IT ON THE ROAD. NEVER! ACCIDENTALLY RUN OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT WILL ALMOST FLIP. SO I HAVE FOUND THAT DRIVING DEFENSE IS THE ONLY WAS TO DRIVE THE MIRAGE. ITS TIRESOME JUST TO GO GET GROCERIES. LOVE THE GAS MILEAGE. I SHOULD HAVE RESEARCHED THE CAR. I HAD AN ECLIPSE AND I LOVED IT. I GUESS I THOUGHT THE MIRAGE, BEING A MITSUBISHI WOULD HAVE KINDA THE SAME. NOT IN POWER BUT THE WAY IT DROVE.

ON MAY 30TH THIS CAR WAS IN THE SHOP AT LA PORTE MITSUBISHI FOR ANOTHER ISSUE. THEY NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE APRIL 29, 2019 RECALL ABOUT THE AIRBAG SENSOR. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY NOTICE OR CALL ABOUT THIS RECALL. I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS RECALL FROM MY SON AND MYSELF LOOKING ON THIS SITE ABOUT IT.
I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN DRIVING OVER ROUGH ROAD, OR AFTER AN ABRUPT POTHOLE, ALL ELECTRONICS IN THE CAR WILL SHUT OFF. AFTER ABOUT FIVE MINUTES A RESET WILL START AND, EVEN THOUGH I'M STILL DRIVING, ALL THE DASH LIGHTS AND TEST WILL GO THROUGH THE CYCLE USUALLY RESERVED FOR WHEN I START THE CAR. IF I HAPPEN TO TURN OFF THE CAR WHILE IT IS IN THIS SORT OF OUTAGE, IT WILL REQUIRE A JUMP TO START. THE RADIO WILL FORGET ITS STATIONS, AND THE CLOCK WILL NEED TO HAVE THE TIME SET AGAIN. I HAVE TRIED MY OWN REMEDIES (LIKE JIGGLING THE FUSE BOX (WHICH DOES NOT SEEM WELL ATTACHED), AND WIGGLING WIRES) TRYING TO TRACK DOWN THE PROBELM WITH NO SUCCESS. MY PRIVATE MECHANIC SAYS THAT HE HAS SEEN THIS IN OTHER MIRAGES AND NEVER FOUND THE CAUSE. IT ONLY HAPPENS ABOUT A SECOND AFTER A LARGE BUMP OR HEAVY REPEATED VIBRATIONS. I BOUGHT THE CAR USED (FROM ENTERPRISE RENTALS), HAVE OWNED IT ABOUT A YEAR, AND IT HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES. THANK YOU FOR THE GOOD WORK YOU DO. I HOPE THIS HELPS.

NEVER NOTIFIED THERE WAS A RECALL
LOST OF ACCELERATION OR SUDDEN ACCELERATION, HELLO, I PURCHASED THIS MITSUBISHI MIRAGE 2017, AND I DROVE IT FOR 2000 MILES. I HAVE NOTICED THE LOST OF ACCELERATION OR SOMETIMES SUDDEN ACCELERATION WITHOUT PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR. I AM REPORTING MY MITSUBISHI TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE, AND I AM ASKING IF THIS PROBLEM CAN BE A TRIGGER FOR A RECALL ABOUT THIS CAR. I WANTED TO STOP FOR A STOP SIGN, BUT THE CAR DID A SUDDEN ACCELERATE, AND I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKES HARD. I HAD 3 PASSENGERS IN THE CAR, AND THE ACCELERATION WAS LOSING POWER, AND I HAD TO DRIVE MY CAR VERY SLOW. BUT WHEN I DROPPED THE PASSENGERS, THE CAR WAS DRIVING FINE.

VEHICLE ONLY HAS 400MILES ON THE ODO. SRS WARNING LIGHT AND PASSENGER SEAT BELT LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, VEHICLE IN MOTION AT THE RATE OF 70MPH. NO PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE. FIRST THE PASSENGER SEATBEALT WARNING LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND OFF THEN SHORTLY AFTER THE SRS WARNING LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE. I INSERTED THE PASSENGER SEATBEALT TO TURN OFF THE LIGHT AND PASSENGER SEATBEALT LIGHT TURN OFF BUT SRS WARNING LIGHT STILL STAYED ON. ALL LIGHTS TURNED OFF ONCE ARRIVED TO MY DISTANATION, I DID NOTICE THAT THE PASSENGERS SEAT WAS WET FROM MY WATER BOTTLE LEAKING ABOUT 6OZ OF WATER.

MY AIRBAG LIGHT IN THE DASH IS ALWAYS LIT. THE DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE $120 JUST TO LOOK AT IT. I'M SEEING OTHER PEOPLE SAY THAT THEIR CAR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AND SOME HAVE HAD ACCIDENTS AND THEIR AIR BAGS ARE NOT DEPLOYING. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE G4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR DRIVER SIDE AND PUSHED THE VEHICLE INTO A THIRD VEHICLE IMPACTING THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. NONE OF THE FRONTAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT AND A PASSENGER WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. THE CONTACT HAD BRUISES ON THE CHEST AND OTHER AREAS OF THE BODY. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED A HEAD CONCLUSION AND BRUISES ON THE LEGS. THE DRIVER ON THE THIRD VEHICLE DIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BY THE POLICE IMPOUND LOT PENDING INVESTIGATION. A POLICE REPORT NUMBER 2017-7-392-1517 WAS FILED. THE MITSUBISHI NIMAY DEALER IN CAGUAS, PUERTO RICO WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND THEY ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL MANUFACTURER HEADQUARTERS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65.
I WAS STOPPED IN TRAFFIC WHEN I WAS REAR ENDED BY A DRIVER DOING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH ON A 3 LANE PARKWAY, WHICH CAUSED ME TO CRASH INTO THE CAR RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. THE COLLISION WAS VIOLENT ENOUGH TO CAUSE BRUISING ON MY BICEP AND UPPER THIGHS AND KNOCKED MY HEARING AIDS ONTO THE DASH. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT INERTIAL REEL DID NOT ACTIVATE PROPERLY AS MY HEAD WAS ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN IT FINALLY CAUGHT. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE SEATBELT REACHED THE END OF ITS LENGTH, OR THE INERTIAL REEL FINALLY LOCKED, BUT WHEN IT DID STOP ME, THE LAP BELT WAS ON MY UPPER THINGS, THE SHOULDER STRAP WAS DOWN ACROSS MY ARM AND STOMACH AND MY HEAD WAS UP OVER THE STEERING WHEEL HEADED FOR THE FRONT WINDOW. I BELIEVE THIS EXACERBATED MY LOWER BACK INJURY BY CAUSING A SEVERE TWISTING MOMENT AS OPPOSED TO BEING RESTRAINED PROPERLY IN THE SEAT.
