Nissan is disconnecting service for Nissan Connect Service. This disables the SOS connect function. This could result in a sever crash not being reported that could complicate or hinder occupant(s)injuries. Also, it affects I-Key functions and other various data functions. Nissan Support claims it would not be a problem and the dealership, Tristate Nissan-Winchester VA 22602, stated there is nothing that can be done. Supposedly it is due to the loss of 3G telecommunications service. Other Automotive manufacturers are facing the same issue except they are are offering reprogramming to correct the issue, Honda for example.

Summary

When hitting any imperfections in the road, the Pathfinder will lose traction and steering. On the highway it is most dangerous, online it is called "the death sway" and is a known issue to consumers in the Pathfinder and Infiniti Qx80. Forums identify Bushing and bushing arms as the likely culprit. I have never been more afraid to drive a vehicle and have had others drive my vehicle to verify the issue is not caused by my driving. I contacted Nissan twice and they have informed me both times that there isn't anything they can do about it

Summary

Began hearing a rapid patterned running at first, which quickly developed into a shaking that could be felt in the steering wheel. Determined that it only happened while the heating and ventilation system was active. Opened the hood, no signs of obstructions, does look like the fan blades of the radiator are loose and hitting the shroud. Given the need for heat to defrost windows as well as safetly operate in the winter with children in the car, it is unsafe to use the vehicle until this mater can be resolved, as without the radiator fans the engine could overheat as well. Will be looking to have the part replaced asap, as the vehicle is needed for livelihood, and with as many people have reported this issue, surprised there has yet to be a recall to address this, as it seems to be the same issue, with others having bearings going out causing a similar issue.

Summary

Power steering fluid is leaking from my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. Currently, the fluid level is well below the minimum level marked on the fluid reservoir. The dipstick is dry. Concerned that this can lead to an accident if the power steering fails while I'm driving, not to mention the cost of repairing the issue. My car is 1 year out of its factory warranty.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED SHE WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE OUT OF PARK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS FLUSHED AND REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE PERSISTED WITH AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WAS SMOKE EXITING THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE LOCAL DEALER WITHIN A MONTH. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED A THIRD TIME BUT WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY MAINTENANCE DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,971.

My 2017 Pathfinder started with a grinding feeling and noise while driving , then it would start but would not go in drive or reverse, with 51,000 miles. I had it towed to the dealership where I purchased it new , with all types of warranty as an additional cost to me ...on inspection they said a code P0776 pressure solenoid B from low CVT fluid from a leak at the drain plug , they replaced and found no other leaks, they also replaced all stuff that was not a problem including wiper blades, did not change oil but replaced air filter, and element and a few other things to fill his cache my cost for all of no problem solved was $ 734.70 . I was back with the same problem and an additional plume of blackish grey smoke on starting up with an awful smell. my car was not fixed on 2nd encounter I took my keys after waiting for 3 hours because for their new diagnosis i would again have to pay out of pocket in spite of all such warranties which covers none of the presenting issues. i am back again for the 3rd time .. their diagnosis is " the engine is gone and is beyond them fixing it, I can only drive the car until it dies with no guarantee when ..can some please assist I am a 71 yr old woman and , still owe $ 22000. 0n this car. Nissan advisers or corporate somebody please help.

MY WIFE DOES NOTHING BUT DRIVE TO AND FROM WORK, AVERAGING AROUND 10K MILES A YEAR ON HER PATHFINDER UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS AND WE ARE BEING ASKED TO REPLACE A FAN THAT HAS MYSTERIOUSLY JUST STARTED MAKING ALL KINDS OF NOISE. NOT ONLY IS THIS A PROBLEM BUT IT'S CAUSING CONSUMERS TO SPEND UPWARDS OF $1000 TO REPLACE THIS. I HAVE RECENTLY FOUND A PATHFINDER FORUM WITH WELL OVER 450 RESULTS RELATED TO THIS PARTICULAR ITEM ONLY. OBVIOUSLY, THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER NORMAL DRIVE TRAIN WARRANTY SO THIS IS COMING OUT OF CONSUMER POCKETS. THIS ISN'T FAIR TO ME OR ANYONE ELSE THAT I HAVE SPOKEN TO. WHY WOULD THIS FAN JUST GO OUT FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN IT'S A FAULTY FAN WITH POOR WORKMANSHIP ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRODUCT. NISSAN DEALERSHIPS ARE MAKING A KILLING, $400 TO $600 JUST IN LABOR WITH ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS. COOLING FAN REPLACED BY LOCAL MECHANIC FOR APPROXIMATELY $600 WITH AN AFTERMARKET PART. THIS FAN IS IMPERATIVE IN KEEPING THE TEMPERATURE REGULATED AND CAN CAUSE FURTHER DAMAGE AND SAFETY CONCERNS. WHICH LEADS ME TO MY NEXT COMPLAINT. SUMMER 2020. I TAKE MY PATHFINDER TO MY MECHANIC (BRAKES, TIRES, OIL CHANGE). MECHANIC IS UNABLE TO LOCATE PART, EVEN FROM DEALERSHIP. I BEGIN HAVING ISSUES WITH ENGINE SURGING WHILE DRIVING/IDLING, RATTLING ENGINE, STALLING AT LIGHTS, ISSUES STARTING INCLUDING HESITANCY FOLLOWED BY REVVING. OVER TWO WEEKS, I WAS EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT FLASHING INDICATOR LIGHTS. NO MECHANIC, AUTO PARTS WAS ABLE TO FIND A CODE. I CALLED MY CLOSEST DEALERSHIP THE LAST WEEK OF AUGUST AND RECEIVED AN APPOINTMENT FOR 9/14, 3 WEEKS AWAY. I GREW CONCERNED WITH MY FAMILIES SAFETY EACH DRIVE AND BEGAN REACHING OUT TO OTHER DEALERS (2+ HRS AWAY). MY PATHFINDER WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER 9/4/20. THE ENGINE COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY FAILED AT 36,000 MILES (RIGHT WHEN WARRANTY EXPIRES) AND IT SOUNDED LIKE RAPID FIRE GOING OFF IN THE FRONT GRILL. AFTER DRIVING A WHILE YOU CAN SMELL AS IF SOMETHING IS BURNING UNDER THE HOOD AND THE BURNING SMELL MAKES IT INSIDE THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. YOU CANNOT DRIVE THE CAR FOR TOO LONG BEFORE THE BURNING SMELL STARTS BOTHERING YOU AND GIVING YOU HEADACHES. ONCE THE COOLING FAN GOES BAD, IT ALSO SPILLS SOME SHORT OF LIQUID IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WHICH CAN CAUSE THE BURNING SMELL TO STILL BE AROUND FOR 1-2 WEEK EVEN AFTER GETTING THE COOLING FAN REPLACED. WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO NISSAN SERVICE CENTER, THE LADY THERE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THE ISSUE WAS WITHOUT EVEN OPENING THE HOOD. AT THIS POINT WE HAVE TURNED THE WHEELS BACK TO A CENTER POSITION AND GO TO ACCELERATE TO MOVE FORWARD. THE ENGINE RPM DOESN'T INCREASE AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE. THE TRUCK IS RUNNING, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. AFTER 3-5 SECONDS, THE TRUCKS ACCELERATOR PEDAL WILL ENGAGE AND THE TRUCK WILL PROCCED FORWARD. OVER 70% OF THE TIME, AFTER THIS OCCURS, THE TRUCK EXHIBITS A LOSS OF POWER AND A LOUD "ROAR" COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. HOWEVER, THERE ARE TIMES WHEN YOU GO TO START THE VEHICLE (USING THE START/STOP BUTTON ON THE DASH) AND THE ENGINE SOUNDS LIKE IT TURNS HALF A ROTATION, AND THEN STOPS. APPROXIMATELY 1 - 1.5 SECONDS LATER, THE ENGINE WILL CONTINUE TO TURN OVER AND THE TRUCK WILL START. THE TECHNICIANS AT CREST NISSAN ORIGINALLY TOLD US THAT THEY COULDN'T FIND THE ISSUE AND THAT OUR VEHICLE WAS READY FOR PICKUP ON 07/11. MY WIFE AND I WENT TO THE DEALER, GOT INTO THE TRUCK, AND WITHIN FIVE MINUTES DUPLICATED THE PROBLEM. WE WENT BACK INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, ASKED BILLY TO RIDE WITH US AND HE SAW THE PROBLEM. THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE VIBRATING IS TO TURN OFF THE A/C WHICH IN OUR TEXAS SUMMER HEAT REACHING OVER 100 DEGREES IS UNREALISTIC CONSIDERING I USE THIS AS A FAMILY VEHICLE. IF YOU LOOK AT ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS REPORTED YOU AND DO A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH YOU WILL SEE THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND NISSAN IS FULLY AWARE OF IT AND IN MY OPINION SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR INSTALLING A FAULTY FAN. THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE REPLACED INTERNAL FUEL PUMP AND AND THE VEHICLE FUEL GAUGE WAS THEN READING AT THE APPROPRIATE LEVEL AND THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO US. ON JAN 14, 2019 WE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO NISSAN FOR THE SAME MECHANICAL PROBLEM AND THEY KEPT IT UNTIL FEB 6 CLAIMING THAT THEY WERE DOING EXTENSIVE RESEARCH TO DIAGNOSE AND FIX THE PROBLEM. AFTER 3 WEEKS WITHOUT OUR VEHICLE WE WERE CALLED TO PICK IT UP AND THE WORK ORDER STATED 'ROAD TESTED VEHICLE AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE CONDITION'. HOWEVER THE PAPERWORK INDICATES THAT THE MILEAGE IN WAS 23181 AND THE MILEAGE OUT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME, 23181, INDICATING THAT NISSAN NEVER REALLY DID ANYTHING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. WE ARE A FAMILY OF 5 AND FOR US THIS VEHICLE WAS A HUGE INVESTMENT, WE'RE CONFIDENT IN THE NISSAN BRAND NAME BUT NOW WE ARE REGRETTING OUR DECISION. SHOULD THE FAN CEASE TO FUNCTION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE ENGINE MAY OVERHEAT WHICH MAY CAUSE IT TO SEIZE POSSIBILITY CAUSING A CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENT. THE BACK UP CAMERA OCCURS WHEN MOVING AND IN PARK. THE DISTORTION WILL OCCUR WHILE YOU ARE IN REVERSE MOVING OR NOT MOVING. ALL OF THESE THINGS OCCUR INTERMITTENTLY. I HAVE AN EMAIL FROM NISSAN SAYING THEY HAVE NO FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO TAKE THE CAR BACK. THEY DON'T SEE HOW THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE A SAFETY HAZARD (YES, THEY HAVE ACTUALLY TOLD ME THIS). ALSO, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE VIDEO DOCUMENTATION SHOWING THESE EVENTS THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE IT. I DON'T WANT SOMEONE GETTING KILLED BECAUSE OF THIS!

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2017 PATHFINDER. I HAVE OWNED NISSAN PRODUCTS FOR MANY MANY YEARS AND APPRECIATE THE QUALITY AND SAFETY. HOWEVER, MY PATHFINDER HAS WHAT REALLY COULD BE A FATAL FLAW IN THAT THE SIDE MIRRORS, ESPECIALLY THE DRIVERS SIDE ARE TOO HIGH ON THE FRAME TO SAFELY SEE WHEN TURNING.. THE FOG LIGHT COULD HAVE STRUCK AND DESTROYED THE COOLERS THAT SIT BEHIND IT. THEY REPLACED THE FOG LIGHT HOUSING. VEHICLE WAS BEING PULLED INTO DRIVEWAY WHEN A CLUNKING SOUND WAS HEARD, WHEN CHECKING IS WHEN IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE LIGHT WAS NOT IN THE HOUSING AND WAS LAYING INSIDE THE BUMPER ONLY BEING HELD IN BY THE WIRING
