The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving 35 MPH, he heard loud buzzing and popping noises coming from the door speakers accompanied by severe vibration from the door speakers. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact reported that the noise was distracting to the point that he pulled onto the side of the road. The contact said that the noise stopped once he had pulled over. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and two microphones of the "Active Noise Canceling Microphone" system were replaced on the driver’s side roof and the rear passenger middle roof. The contact experienced a recurrence of the same loud buzzing and popping noise again. The contact stated that he returned the vehicle to the same dealer and the microphones were not replaced. The contact said that the noise recently returned, and he took the vehicle back to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed the issue and was told that the manufacturer had no remedy available. The contact said the manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
Upon accelerating on a highway, the malfunction indicator light came on and the car lost power. Without drive power it was very dangerous to maneuver to exit the freeway. The dealership recognized that this was due to issues with the intercooler and PGM-FI software for this vehicle and is spelled out in a technical service bulletin (Honda 21-052). However, even though the car is under the original warranty, they want to charge over $250 for the repair.
At approximately 16:08 EST on Jan 1, 2022 I was traveling westbound on I-76 at mile marker 146.9 WB (40°02'03.0"N 78°29'50.0"W) in the center lane on a straight section of road at approximately 70mph. Car mileage was 21264 at the time of the crash. The weather at the time of the crash was light rain and with temperature approximately 50F. The car suddenly and for no apparent reason began skidding / fishtailing. I tried steering to regain control of the vehicle and applying the brakes to slow down, but the car continued fishtailing. I did not feel the anti lock brakes engage at any point during the skid. I went into the left lane, and struck the center concrete barrier, causing the airbags to deploy and the car to come to rest in the left lane. 3 symptoms appeared the day of the crash which had never happened before: 1) Several hours before the crash, the vehicle began handling strangely. It felt like there was either steering or brake input from the land keeping assist / adaptive cruise control / traction control systems which was "fighting" me and causing the vehicle to swerve slightly. These handling anomalies occurred randomly about 10 times immediately before the crash. 2) About 2 hours before the crash, the check engine light began flashing and there was a loss of engine power. I pulled over and restarted the car, which seemed to resolve the check engine light / power loss. 3) At one point the adaptive cruise control turned itself off and gave a message about traction conditions. To my knowledge the problem has not been confirmed or reproduced, and the vehicle has not yet been inspected by Honda, my insurer, or anyone else. As of Jan 6, the vehicle is currently in a yard near Altoona PA awaiting assessment, and is available for inspection upon request. I informed Honda about the crash on Jan 6, 2022. They gave me a case number and said to work through my insurer on next steps. Honda service bulletin 21-052 may be relevant to this incident.

No one was injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an auto body shop who repaired the physical damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to who inspected the vehicle but could not diagnosed the caused of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired, however the contact concern is that failure could reoccurred again. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,504.

The contact was able to restart the vehicle after waiting approximately two hours. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. Twice in the last 4 weeks ( 11/18/21 and 11/30/21) my 2019 Honda Accord came to complete and sudden stop for no apparent reason. My foot was on the gas, my speed was approximately 25mph, an orange warning light on the dash was activated very briefly. Cars behind me had to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting me. Going from 25 mph to Zero, caused my neck to snap forward and back and forward again which was very painful. The mileage on my car was approximately 6,650. This exact problem first occurred on 2/6/21. Subsequently, I took the car to the dealershipd where they performed and scanned the vehicle and no codes or error messages were found. Ran air fuel system test etc. and they advised me that no system failure was detected. I reported the incident to NHTSA on approxamately 2/10/21. My Complaint Number for the 2/6/21 incident is 11395658.
On 11/30/21, I was driving approximatley at 25 mph when my car suddenly came to a complete stop for no apparent reason. My foot was on the accelerator, an orange warning on the dash flashed and my head and neck snapped. This is the third incident this year. Other incidents were 11/18/21 and 2/6/21. Both were reported to NHTSA. Complaint number for 11/18/21 is 11442365. The Complaint number for 2/6/21 is 11395658. I do plan to take the car to the dealer again for diagnostic tests even though the tests performed on 2/10/21 showed "no system failure was detected at this moment". I fully expect to be told the same thing regarding this incident.
Vehicle repeatedly experiences a "cylinder misfire error" when driving above 45 mph. The check engine light will flash and the car surges like it is stalling. Loss of the ability to accelerate when it occurs. Also, the car shakes violently when the vehicle comes to a stop before turning off the engine. Many times, after restarting problem temporarily stops. I have taken it to the dealership multiple times, but problem is unsolved. Happens at least once a week. Started at 58,000 miles. More recently, the vehicle experiences a safety system failure when driving above 45 mph. 10 system warning lights were activated and will continually appear on instrument panel. I had to boost my brothers vehicle because his battery was dead. Ever since then, the "charging system failure" notification has been on. Been on for about 1.5 years. Have not noticed any issues with the car but can't get the indicator to go off without bringing it to the Honda dealer and paying $150 for them to "check it."
Twice the brake hold system didn't hold and creeping up on vehicle in front. I stomped on the brakes and it delayed in engaging almost hitting the car in front. For several moments the brakes wouldn't respond. (Where was the car going? We were stopped, brake hold engaged.) Previously the dealership checked the brake hold system, saying it was okay.

Randomly my vehicles LKAS, ACC, blind spot monitoring will go out with a message to visit dealer. Also my exterior headlight controls won't work, turn signal stops working, backup camera stops working, rear trunk control, rear defroster. All steering wheel controls stop working as well. This can last for a couple days or as short as a few minutes. Every time I have taken it to the dealer the problem has 'fixed' itself and they can not find any errors. I have two videos I can share showing the errors. I did do a screen shot of the errors from the video and uploaded.

The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and it was confirmed that the parts were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Tire Sensor light keeps coming on and tires are brand new, and air same pressure. Dealership said it was because of tread depth so I got new tires but tire sensor keeps coming on
I had the fuel pump recall done at my local Honda service center in Gardena, CA. They replace the potential bad fuel pump with a fuel pump kit. After the fuel pump replacement, the car has problem start up. Normally it takes 2 to 3 crank to start the engine. But now it take more than 10 cranks. And the problem is intermittent. It's very random. It does not matter if it's in the morning or night. Or does not matter if the car is being first started or had been driven. Seem the new pump is defective as well. Wrote to American Honda on several occasions, but never got a response.

The car’s steering wheel doesn’t respond to driver’s input correctly causing the car to constantly wander around within the lane. It is impossible for the driver to keep the car centered within a highway lane. In creates an increased chance of hitting nearby vehicles. Also, it requires the driver to focus mostly on centering the car inside the lane and less time on wider observation of the surroundings. During an emergency maneuver to avoid any object on the road, the car may not respond to the driver’s input as intended. As shown in the attached video, as the driver tries to turn the steering wheel clockwise from the centered position, the steering wheel doesn’t move a bit as if something is tightly holding it. When more turning force is applied by the driver, the steering wheel loosens up instantly which creates an over turning of the car. Although the degree of the movement appears small in the video, this is big enough to noticeably shift the car within a highway lane. I am very afraid that if the car will let driver turn the steering during an emergency situation. This problem happens with all the active safety system turned off including lane departure warning and lane keep assists. The problem is more reproduceable in certain condition.The temperature should be around 50 degrees or below. The car must be driven for 30min or longer on highway at around 70mph. The steering wheel must be turned from the centered position. The car is available for inspection upon request. Other Honda Accord and civic owners seem to experience the same problem as discussed in Internet forums. I took the car to the dealer and they couldn’t reproduce the problem or stated that it is within design specification. There haven’t been other problem in the car to cause this behavior. I purchased this car new and the problem started after a year of ownership.

Collision mitigation braking system is braking my car at least 4xs when there is nothing on the road in front of me . Luckily there wasn't a car behind me. I was driving each time about 40 miles/he. Took my car to Davis Honda in Burlington County on Aug.6 2021 and they stated to me there was a piece of debri in the multi purpose camera which was cleaned out by them. Otherwise nothing came up in computer check. I believe there is a class action suit against Honda for this problem.

The passenger side Headlight has stopped working - the electronic display shows headlight issue, show dealer. This is a 2 year old car with around 60,000 miles on it ( relatively new) - but the LED going out so fast is a concern especially when LED lights lasts for years. My Honda dealer has asked me to replace the entire units as the power to the unit is on but the headlight itself is not working.

I have a 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring. I hear a very loud humming noise coming from the underside (both sides) of the car when I am driving between 50 and 55mph. It gets increasingly louder for a 5 - 10 second span, then goes away completely. It is more prevalent when there is a passenger in the front passenger seat and repeats when I am in that speed range, especially while going around a curve. It has not resulted in any handling issues yet, but I do not know what is being affected.
On 6/25/21, while driving my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid Ex-L, at a speed of 30-40 mph the car displayed various warnings. I was on a major road with no where to pull over. Within about a block the car unexpectedly braked hard and slowed down from about 40 to 15 mph. I attempted to press on the gas to avoid causing an accident but, the car continued at the slower speed and did not react to my gas press. This issue then cleared and I was able to accelerate. This was very scary but to make it worse about a 1/2 block later my car veered to the left and out of my lane, again at this point I was on high alert and the veer was not correct. I was able to gain control and get the vehicle back in the correct lane. I then pulled into a parking lot(~1 block later). I tried to document all of the warnings at this time. I called Randy Kuehl Honda and decided to drive back roads to the dealership(~4 miles). Prior to arriving(~3.8 miles into drive), additional warnings were displayed. I arrived at the dealership and they said that the issue was because there was a crack in my brake light and water had gotten in. But I am having a hard time accepting that because of a busted taillight it is normal/acceptable/safe for the car to brake and swerve and lose all of the indicated systems. Seems like a pretty big SAFETY CONCERN. I can quickly find other instances similar to mine on the internet. Below is a list of all the warnings I was able to remember. Rear passenger side outside brake pad wear out much faster than the other 7 brake pads on the car. It worn out completely at 33k miles and the rotor and brake pad was metal on metal, because of this both had to be replaced.

My 2019 Accord was due for a fuel pump recall (NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V215000), so I took it in to First Texas Honda and they completed a “remedy” by replacing it. 2 weeks later, I drove my car for the first slightly longer trip of 100 miles at night, and the car lost its power on the highway. Pretty much all the malfunction indicator lights were on, the dashboard LCD displayed failure of all major systems, and the car would not start again. I had it towed to Allen Honda, another Honda dealership, who told me that the new fuel pump First Texas Honda installed for the recall was probably not done properly and that some o-ring had worn out. They had to replace the fuel pump again. It appears that First Texas Honda made an awful mistake on the recall that could have resulted in an accident.

I HAD AN AUTO COLLISION ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET. THE STEERING WHEEL COLUMN AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY WHICH CAUSED ME TO HIT MY FACE ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND WHICH I SUSTAINED A SWOLLEN NOSE AND FREQUENT HEADACHES.
I FILED A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS VEHICLE IN OCTOBER OF 2020 WHEN IT WAS 5 MONTHS OLD AT THAT TIME BECAUSE IT WOULD SLAM ON BREAKS AND JERK THE STEERING WHEEL FOR NO KNOWN REASON AND WITH NO ONE AROUND. IT HAS CONTINUED TO DO THIS INTERMITTENTLY AS WELL AS OTHER ERRATIC DRIVING THAT CANT BE ACCOUNTED FOR INCLUDING AT TIMES GETTING CONFUSED WHEN PASSING EXIT RAMPS WHERE THE CAR WILL SLAM ON BREAKS AND JERK TO TRY TO EXIT. I WAS DRIVING THIS AFTERNOON AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO SHIMMY (VIBRATING BACK AND FORTH). IT FELT LIKE THERE WAS A POTNETIAL TIRE BLOW OUT BUT MY TPMS DID NOT INDICATE ANY LOSS OF PRESSURE. I ASSUMED THE CAR WAS HAVING ANOTHER ONE OF ITS UNEXPLAINED STEERING BEHAVIORS. I KNOW FROM PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE THAT TURNING THE BLINKER ON WILL STOP THE SHIMMYING IF IT THINKS YOU ARE TRYING TO SWITCH LANES SO I TURNED MY BLINKER ON AND I MOVED OVER ONE LANE HOPING IT WOULD STOP. THE SHIMMYING (VIBRATING OF STEERING WHEEL) CONTINUED AND SHORTLY THERE AFTER IT PULLED HARD LEFT ON ME DRIVING ME DIRECTLY INTO A CEMENT BARRICADE THAT WAS LOCATED A FEW FEET OFF OF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I HIT THE BARRICADE AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND BOUNCED OFF OF IT SPUN AROUND AND RE-HIT THE BARRICADE WITH THE REAR OF THE CAR WHICH IS WHAT SUSTAINED THE MAJORITY OF THE DAMAGE WHEN IT HIT. THOUGH I HIT THE BARRICADE WITH SIGNIFICANT FORCE THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN IN THE CAR WITH ME ON A PREVIOUS OCCASION WHEN THE CAR HAS DONE THIS AND I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT NUMEROUS TIMES TO NUMEROUS PEOPLE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR...IT ONLY DOES THIS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND ON THE HIGHWAY...IT WILL KILL ME OR SOMEONE ELSE IF SOMETHING IS NOT DONE. I HAVE CONTACTED HONDA COOPERATE AND ALSO FILED A REPORT WITH THEM AS WELL.
CAR FIRED CODE P2119F WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. WHEN IT WAS DIAGNOSED IT NEEDS FUEL INJECTORS AND FUEL RAIL REPLACED AND WARNED NOT TO DRIVE IT AS IT WILL GO INTO "LIMP MODE," AT SHUT THE CARE DOWN IMMEDIATELY TO 10 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. COST TO REPLACE ~$1325
WHEN STATIONARY TO OBTAIN FUEL, FUEL LID ACTUATOR ELECTRONIC SWITCH FAILURE. FUEL DOOR REMAINS IN LOCKED POSITION. MANUAL METAL CABLE PULL CORD IN TRUNK FOR EMERGENCIES DOES NOT FUNCTION. INABILITY TO OBTAIN FUEL UNLESS FUEL LID IS PRIED OPEN DAMAGING THE VEHICLE.
I PURCHASED MY HONDA ACCORD SPORT LAST MONTH AND HAD NO ISSUES 5,000 MILES ON IT. BUT AS I'VE BEEN DRIVING IT THE BRAKES ARE NOT OPERATING AS THEY SHOULD WAY TOO SENSITIVE AND IS NOT A SMOOTH PROCESS AS IT SHOULD BE THE SLIGHTEST PRESSURE MAKES IT JOLT FORWARD. ON IDLE MY RPMS START TO LOWER THEN GO UP I DON'T BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE HAPPENING. I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S A VACUUM LEAK, FUEL PUMP OR SPARK PLUGS BUT THERE IS AN ISSUE.

RODENT CHEWED THE SOY BASED WIRING HARNESS IN THE ENGINE BAY CAUSING VARIOUS FAULT CODES: ELECTRIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM PROBLEM, BRAKE SYSTEM PROBLEM BRAKE PERFORMANCE MAY BE REDUCED, TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SYSTEM PROBLEM. DEALER REMOVED INTAKE MANIFOLD, THROTTLE BODY, REMOVE FUEL RAIL AND #3 INJECTOR. REPAIR CONNECTOR WIRING HARNESS TO #3 INJECTOR. REPLACE ENGINE WIRING HARNESS. AFTER THE HARNESS IS REPLACED. THERE ARE STILL WARNING LIGHTS THAT WILL NOT CLEAR. PULL ENGINE COVER AND LOWER BUMPER COVER AT FRONT/NOTE THAT THERE IS RODENT DAMAGE ON TWO OTHER WIRING HARNESSES REMOVED AND REPLACED FRONT BUMPER WIRING HARNESS AND ENGINE TO BODY WIRING HARNESS. HONDA HAS A RODENT REPELLENT TAPE PART # 4019-2317. HOWEVER, SERVICE ADVISOR DID NOT HAVE ANY KNOWLEDGE THAT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SOLD THIS TAPE. THIS PROVES HONDA IS AWARE OF THE RODENT ISSUE OF EATING WIRING HARNESS.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING A NORMAL LANE CHANGE THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN LOST ALL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. LOSS OF POWER AND MANEUVERABILITY. I ALSO GET OCCASIONAL COFFEE CUP ICONS WITH A DRIVER ALERT SIGNAL EVEN WHEN I AM DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE, YET CONSCIOUS OF THE NEED TO STEER A BIT TO TELL THE SYSTEM I AM ALERT. THE ALERTS HAPPEN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THIS HAS HAPPENED QUITE A FEW TIMES. THE DEALER'S ONLY RESPONSE WAS THAT HONDA IS AWARE AND BLAMES THE PROBLEM ON USING THE CORD THAT MUST BE USED TO ACTIVATE CARPLAY AND THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM!
I WAS ON THE FREEWAY GOING ABOUT 75MPH, WHEN SUDDENLY, MY VEHICLE'S CMBS SYSTEM ACTIVATED AND SLOWED DOWN SPEED TO 20MPH APPROX. WITHOUT HAVING ANY VEHICLES IN FRONT OR NEAR ME. LUCKILY, THE DRIVER BEHIND ME WAS NOT FOLLOWING CLOSE AND WAS ABLE TO AVOID A COLLISION BY SWITCHING LANES. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TWICE, BUT NO ONE CAN FIND OR DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. MOREOVER, A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, WHEN I WAS SWITCHING LANES, TOWARD THE RIGHT, THE LEFT WARNING LIGHT AND BEEPING NOISE CAME ON. SO FAR, I HAVE RECORDED NINE INCIDENTS WHEN THE VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN ON ITS OWN, AND FOUR OF THOSE WERE ON THE FREEWAY. I WAS FORCED TO DEACTIVATED ALL "SAFETY" SENSORS WHILE I AM DRIVING TO AVOID ANYMORE INCIDENTS OR ACCIDENTS.
AT 25,000 MILES, TOOK CAR IN FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, RECALL 20-039, ACC MALFUNCTION, AND HAZARD MITIGATION WARNING LIGHT ON DASHBOARD. DURING INSPECTION ON VEHICLE BY TECHNICIAN, WAS FOUND THAT FRONT BRAKES WERE AT 7 MMS AND REAR BRAKES WERE AT 0 MMS. REAR BRAKE PADS WERE COMPLETELY WORN DOWN AND ROTORS WERE RUSTED AND BEYOND ANY REPAIR. TECHNICIAN AND SERVICE MANAGER SAID THIS WAS "NORMAL." HONDA CORPORATION WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IN TALKING TO SEVERAL OUTSIDE MECHANICS AND MY KNOWLEDGE OF BRAKE REPAIR, ALL AGREE THAT REAR BRAKES SHOULD NOT COMPLETELY WEAR OUT BEFORE FRONT BRAKES AT 25,000 MILES. THE HONDA MECHANIC STATED THAT DOING THE RECALL OF REPROGRAMMING THE BCM WOULD CORRECT PROBLEM WITH ACC - ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS RE-PROGRAMMING DID NOT CORRECT THE ACC PROBLEM AND ACTUALLY MADE IT INOPERABLE. WE HAVE FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT TO LOOK AT ACC PROBLEM. DEALER SAID IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN, THEY WILL HAVE HONDA CORP. INSPECT VEHICLE. WE HAVE ON FILE ALL ROUTINE MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS RECORDED IN "MAINTENANCE & SERVICE HANDBOOK" AND HONDA MULTI POINT VEHICLE INSPECTION CHECKLISTS. INCURRED $355 EXPENDITURE TO REPLACE REAR BRAKES AND ROTORS WHICH SHOULD BE COVERED BY HONDA ALONG WITH RESOLUTION OF ISSUE.
WHILE DRIVING, CAR AUTOMATICALLY APPLIES BRAKES. SPEED WILL SLOW ALL THE WAY DOWN, ALMOST TO A STOP. MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS DEALING WITH BRAKE SYSTEM WILL RANDOMLY POP UP, BUT ALSO LEAVE ON THEIR OWN JUST TO REOCCUR LATER ON. I JUST GOT THIS CAR A MONTH AGO WITH ONLY 19,XXX MILES.
THE CMBS WILL BREAK AUTOMATICALLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN ROUNDING CORNERS WHEN A SEMI IS NEXT TO IT. THE CAR SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN YOU DON'T EXPECT IT IS VERY SCARY. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES.
THE NOISE ISSUE HAS THESE FEATURES: 1. IT IS INTERMITTENT. IT COMES OUT RANDOMLY ON HIGHWAY, AND MAY CONTINUE FOR A FEW RANDOM SECONDS, THEN GOES AWAY. 2. IT IS LOW-FREQUENCY AND DOESN'T CHANGE. AS A COMPARISON, IT IS LOWER THAN 2500RPM ENGINE SOUND. 3. IT IS LOUDNESS-VARYING. EACH TIME IT COMES OUT WITH LITTLE LOUDNESS, BUT THEN INCREASES FOR THE NEXT FEW SECONDS TO AN UNCOMFORTABLE LEVEL. IT MAY STAY QUIET, OR INCREASE TO ANY LOUDNESS LEVEL BEFORE IT GOES AWAY. 4. IT IS MOSTLY DESCRIBED AS HUMMING NOISE. HOWEVER, IN MY OPINION NOT QUITE THE SAME AS ENGINE SOUND I HAVE HAD THIS NOISE FOR THE PAST 8 MONTHS. THIS NOISE TENDS TO COME ON AT AROUND 52-54 MPH, IT INCREASES IN LOUDNESS AND THEN PROMPTLY GOES AWAY. IT IS NOT ALWAYS REPRODUCEABLE AND EVEN THOUGH I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAY THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS. THEY NOTATE IT AND SEND ME ON MY WAY SAYING THEY CAN'T REPRODUCE THE SOUND. I HAVE RECORDED THE SOUND AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T HELP ME UNLESS THEY CAN REPRODUCE IT. I AM WORRIED THAT THIS MAY BE SOMETHING SERIOUS?

THE "SOLUTION" SO FAR IS PULL OVER AND TURN THE VEHICLE OVER AND RESTART IT AND HOPE FOR THE BEFORE, BUT IT ONLY GIVES A TEMPORARY FIX.
FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD HAS A STRESS CRACK FROM EDGE OF FRAME TO CENTER OF WINDSHIELD. AND IT'S WITH NO APPARENT REASON OR IMPACT. ON THE EXTERIOR, THE CRACK IS APPARENT BY SIGHT BUT CANNOT BE FELT BY TOUCH. THE CRACK LOOKS TO BE INSIDE THE GLASS. THE CAR HAS BEEN DROPPED OFF AT THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP FOUR HOURS AGO AND WAITING FOR THEIR ASSESSMENT.

AFTER DRIVING FOR ABOUT 25 MINUTES, THE REAR VENTS AT THE BACK OF THE CENTER CONSOLE START BLOWING COLD AIR ONTO THE REAR SEAT PASSENGERS. IF THE CAR SITS WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING, THE VENTS BLOW WARM AIR; BUT AFTER IT STARTS DRIVING, THE REAR VENTS BLOW COLD AIR AGAIN. WHENEVER I HAVE REAR SEAT PASSENGERS, I HAVE TO CLOSE THE REAR VENTS. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND RECEIVED A MEANINGLESS ANSWER THAT THE HEAT WORKS. THIS HAS HAPPENED BOTH WINTERS I HAVE HAD THE CAR.

ON 02/06/2021, AFTER ENTERING A GATED RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY, THE CAR SUDDENLY BRAKES FOR NO REASON. NO OTHER VEHICLES OR PEDESTRIANS WERE ON THE ROAD. WEATHER WAS OVERCAST. ROADWAY WAS DRY. SPEED WAS APPROXIMATLEY 27 MPH. NECK AND HEAD INJURY RESULTED. HONDA DEALER COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG AFTER RUNNING ALL TESTS. THEREFORE, THEY SAID NOTHIG WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. I RESTARTED THE CAR IT DROVE OK AND NO MORE TROUBLE THAT DAY. ON 01/12/2020 IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON I 81 INTERSTATE AND AGAIN IT SHUT OFF OR LOST ALL POWER FOR ABOUT A MINUTE THEN IT RECOVERED ITSELF.THIS WAS A VERY BAD SITUATION AS I WAS IN 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC WITH TRACTOR TRAILERS ALL AROUND GOING 70 MPH.I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO MILLER HONDA, THREE TIMES. A THAT TIME THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID HE COULD FIND NOTHING THAT SHOWED IT HAD EVER SHUT ITSELF OFF IN THE PAST. I DID SHUT ITSELF OFF 3 TIMES AND I DONT CARE WHAT HE SAID IT DID HAPPEN AND I DO NOT FEEL THIS VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE. IT IS A YEAR OLD I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AT MILLER HONDA IN WINCHESTER VA. AND IT HAS ONLY 5400, MILES ON IT.

ON THE FIRST AND MAIN OCCASION, I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE TRAVELING AT ABOUT 75MPH. MY CAR FLASHED THE EMERGENCY "BRAKE" NOTIFICATION ON THE DRIVER INFORMATION SIDE OF THE DASHBOARD, AND AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED BRAKES BRINGING ME DOWN TO ABOUT 50-55 MPH BEFORE THE WARNING WENT AWAY, BRAKES WERE RELEASED AND EVERYTHING PROCEEDED AS NORMAL. CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT ON AND THERE WERE NO CARS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME NOR NEXT TO ME. THE SUN WAS NOT RISING NOR SETTING, SO I DON'T BELIEVE THERE TO HAVE BEEN ANY SUN GLARE AFFECTING THE RADAR. I HAD THIS ISSUE AGAIN DRIVING AT NIGHT ON BACK ROADS. I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35 MILES AN HOUR WHEN THE "BRAKE" NOTIFICATION APPEARED AND THE CAR AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED BRAKES, DESPITE NOTHING BEING IN MY LINE OF TRAVEL. AFTER THIS, I FIGURED OUT HOW TO DISABLE THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING AND CHANGE IT TO JUST A WARNING. THE THIRD TIME THIS HAPPENED WAS AGAIN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I DON'T RECALL MY SPEED, BUT NO ONE WAS IN FRONT OF ME. MY CAR FLASHED "BRAKE" FOR NO REASON BEFORE DISAPPEARING. I DO NORMALLY GET THE "BRAKE" NOTIFICATION WHEN I AM APPROACHING A SLOWED VEHICLE, BUT I DON'T GET AUTOMATIC BRAKING WITH THOSE AS I AM ALREADY APPLYING BRAKES. IN ALL THREE OF THESE CIRCUMSTANCES THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANYONE IN FRONT OF ME TO TRIGGER THE BRAKE WARNING.

WITH THIS HAPPENING I KNOW SOMETHING IS GOING ON WITH THE FUEL PUMP AND I'VE PUT PREMIUM GAS IN THE CAR SINCE I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW . I WENT ONLINE TO READ UP ON IT AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR 2018-2019 MODEL ACCORDS , SO I WENT TO THE DEALER THINKING YES THEY CAN FIX IT BUT WHEN THEY SEARCHED MY VIN THE ONLY THING THAT CAME UP WAS THE BCM UPDATE. BUT KNOWING THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE EXACT PROBLEM I'M HAVING AND I CAN'T GET IT FIXED UNTIL I SAVE UP A LITTLE BIT . IS THERE A WAY THIS RECALL CAN BE DONE TO MY VEHICLE. I HAVE NOTICED THAT I HAVE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH MY LANE DEPARTURE WARNING AND THE FORWARD COLLISION WARNING HAS BEEN NOT WORKING 100% OF THE TIME RECENTLY, BUT THAT NEVER BOTHERED ME BEFORE. WHAT IS UPSETTING IS THAT I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO HAVE HONDA REPLACE THE FRONT SENSOR DUE TO MY CAR THROWING CODES (LKAS, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL & FRONT COLLISION WARNING) NOT FUNCTIONING, AS WELL AS MY BACK DRIVER DOOR LOCK (ALREADY GONE BAD). NOW THIS. MY CAR ISN'T EVEN 2 YEARS OLD.I TOOK MY CAR BY MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP (PRIORITY HONDA OF ROANOKE) ON 12/30/20 WHERE I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT AMERICAN HONDA BECAUSE OF THE RECALL ON THE BCM ON MY CAR AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS MOST LIKELY CONTRIBUTED TO THE ACCIDENT. AFTER CONTACTING AMERICAN HONDA I WAS BASICALLY TOLD THAT IT IS NOT A SAFETY RECALL BUT A "NON-COMPLIANCE" RECALL AND THAT THE SAFETY FEATURES THEY BOAST ABOUT ARE NOT ACTUAL SAFETY FEATURES OF THE CAR AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON IN ANY CASE. SO, THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES. THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH WORSE AND I AM THANKFUL THAT IT WASN'T, BUT I AM STILL SICKENED OVER THIS! I TOOK THE CAR TO VANN YORK HONDA, WAS TOLD IT WAS A RECALL FOR A BCM MODULE (OBVIOUSLY UNTRUE, THAT IS FOR WIPERS, REAR DEFOGGER, ETC), BUT I DID GET THE ISSUE DOCUMENTED ON PAPER. THIS WAS IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO ME, I OR MY FAMILY HAVE DOCUMENTATION THAT THE CAR DOES HAVE AN ISSUE WITH BRAKING AT HIGH RATE OF SPEED FOR NO REASON. AT TIMES THE BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON, THE LAST TWO TIMES LANE DEPARTURE LIGHT HAS COME ON AND I HAVE BEEN CENTERED UP IN MY LANE, NO ONE IN FRONT OF ME OR AS I STATED BESIDE ME. THE CAR IS A DANGER TO THE DRIVER, ANY POTENTIAL PASSENGERS AND THE VEHICLE FOLLOWING. I PURCHASED MY CAR BRAND NEW LAST YEAR IN 2019 YET THIS DEFECTIVE BATTERY CAUSED ME TO BE STRANDED, WHICH I DON'T EXPECT TO HAPPEN WITH AN ESSENTIALLY NEW CAR.

I'LL HAVE TO GET THE METAL PART REPLACED OR REPAIRED. I DON'T HAVE A QUOTE FOR THE REPAIR BUT TO REPLACE IT COMPLETELY WILL COST $500 MORE DOLLARS.

WHILE I WAS ON THE WAY HOME FROM WORK, I WAITED FOR THE BROKEN YELLOW LINE TO PASS 2 CARS IN FRONT OF ME, WHEN I WAS MIDWAY THROUGH PASSING BOTH OF THEM, THE SECOND CAR IN LINE WANTED TO PASS THE CAR IN FRONT AS WELL BUT DID NOT LOOK TO SEE THAT I WAS ALREADY PASSING AND RIGHT BESIDE HIM, AND JERKED OVER AND HIT THE SIDE OF ME WHICH CAUSED ME THEN TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL AND LAND IN A RAVINE. THE ENTIRE FRONT SIDE OF MY VEHICLE IS COMING OFF AND I WAS JERKED AROUND IN THE CAR, BUT NO AIRBAG IN THE BACKSEATS NOR DRIVER SEAT CAME OUT, AND MY DAUGHTERS CAR SEAT WAS FLIPPED TOWARDS THE WINDOW SO THANK GOD SHE WAS NOT IN THE VEHICLE WHEN THIS HAPPENED.

WHEN REMOVING THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE, TO BEGIN DRIVING, ONE OR MORE BRAKE PADS GET STUCK TO THE ROTOR THEN IS VIOLENTLY RETURNED TO THE OPEN POSITION. THIS HAPPENS IN WEATHER BELOW 40 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT, AFTER DRIVING, THEN PARKING FOR MERE MINUTES, EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS STILL RUNNING. MANY SOURCES THIS IS DUE TO THE MASTER CYLINDER NOT HAVING ENOUGH PRESSURE TO RELAX THE CALIPER. MAX SPEED REACHED ON THE FREEWAY BEFORE COLLISION WAS 65 MPH. TRYING TO BRAKE WAS NOT SMOOTH AND I HAD TO PRESS DOWN EXTREMELY HARD IN ORDER FOR THE BRAKING SYSTEM TO RESPOND AND STILL ENDED UP COLLIDING WITH THE OTHER VEHICLE AT A HIGHER RATE OF SPEED THAN THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WHEN PAYING ATTENTION TO SURROUNDING TRAFFIC, EVEN WITH A CAR LENGTH DISTANCE INFRONT OF ME AT THE START OF BREAKING. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS TOLD THAT THE SENSOR HAD BEEN DISLODGED. THIS TIME THEY ARE SAYING THAT THERE IS A CRACK IN THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY WHICH SET OFF THE WARNING SYSTEM. THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND A NEW BRAKE ASSEMBLY IS NEEDED. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK FINE. EVEN IF THEY WERE BOTH CONTROLLED BY THE SAME COMPUTER, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON AN OUTPUT FROM THE COMPUTER OR PEDAL SWITCH. THE WARNING SEEMS TO INDICATE THERE MIGHT BE PROBLEM WITH THE SENSOR WHICH WOULD BE AN INPUT SYSTEM. CONTROL, SENSORS, AND INDICATION SYSTEMS HAVE SEPARATE ELECTRICAL PATHS EVEN IF MANAGED BY THE SAME COMPUTER. SO THEIR "DIAGNOSIS" SEEMS HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

THE CAR WAS TOWED FOR A SECOND TIME TO A DIFFERENT HONDA DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY STATED THERE WAS NO WAY THE FIRST DEALERSHIP FIXED THE CAR. THERE WERE METAL SHAVINGS NOTED THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM, THE FUEL INJECTOR AND ALL OF THE CYLINDERS HAD TO BE REPLACED. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE METAL SHAVING NOTED IN MY OIL AND THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM CAUSING FURTHER ENGINE DAMAGE AS TIME GOES ON. HONDA HAS ALSO REFUSED TO PAY FOR MY RENTAL CAR DURING THIS PROCESS EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE. HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 6/7/19 ALSO STATED THAT IF THE CAR GOES INTO LIMP MODE AGAIN AND I GET HIT, ALL ADDITIONAL DAMAGE CAUSED FROM THE ACCIDENT WILL BE MY RESPONSIBILITY.

"COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM SEE YOUR DEALER" NORMAL CONDITIONS ON THE ROAD & TRAFFIC WHEN THE PROBLEM HAPPENS. THE WARNING LIGHT RESETS AFTER THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER & NOTHING WAS FOUND IN THE SYSTEM. THEY RECOMMENDED REMOVING TOLL STICKER FROM THE WINDSHIELD. I REMOVED THE STICKER & LEAVE THE DEALER TO TEST THE SYSTEM. 2ND TIME: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ON, SPEED SET TO 60MPH ON HIGHWAY. NORMAL CONDITIONS ON THE ROAD & TRAFFIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ROADSIDE SERVICE TOWED THE VEHICLE TO THE SAME DEALER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS $3,700 WORTH OF DAMAGE, BUT NO FAILURE CODES WERE LOCATED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED AND FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND A LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 700. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
I STARTED TO NOTICE MONTHS AGO, WHEN STOPPED OR IDLING, MY VEHICLE BEGINS TO MISFIRE OR THE RPM ACCELERATES.TOOK IT IN THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES, THEY CAN'T SEEM TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE, I HAVE ALMOST HIT SEVERAL PEDESTRIANS AND OTHER VEHICLES DUE TO THIS ISSUE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY SUN/MOON ROOF JUST SHATTERED FOR NO REASON. THERE WERE NO CARS AROUND ME, AND I DID NOT GO UNDER ANY OVERPASSES. THE GLASS DID NOT HAVE ANY CHIPS, CRACKS, OR ANY DAMAGE FROM BEING ON THE ROAD. IT LITERALLY JUST EXPLODED. I WAS LUCKY TO HAVE MY SUN ROOF COVER CLOSED, OR I WOULD HAVE HAD THE GLASS RAIN DOWN ON ME WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY.
THE OEM HANKOOK TIRES ARE UNSAFE AT ANY SPEED. THE TIRES ROUTINELY HYDROPLANE ON WET PAVEMENT WITH SPEEDS AS SLOW AS 45 MPH. THIS IS A MONTHLY OCCURRENCE. THE REAR TIRES LOSE GRIP DURING LANE CHANGES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ON DRY PAVEMENT. THE TIRE DESIGN IS UNSAFE.
OUR BRAND NEW 2019 HONDA ACCORD, WITH ABOUT 1,000 MILES ON IT, WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION ON OCTOBER 13, 2019 AT 1:24 PM ON A CITY STREET WITH A SPEED LIMIT OF 45 MPH. WE STRUCK A 2001 F250 AT 45 MPH IN THE SIDE AFTER THE INDIVIDUAL FAILED TO YIELD AND STOPPED SIDEWAYS DIRECTLY IN OUR LANE OF TRAFFIC. MY HONDA RECEIVED SERIOUS FRONT END DAMAGE AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS SMOKING, BUT NOT A SINGLE AIR BAG DEPLOYED DURING THIS ACCIDENT. THERE WERE THREE (3) ADULTS AND ONE (1) CHILD IN THE HONDA, THE CHILD AND TWO (2) ADULTS WERE SENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM VIA AMBULANCE. THERE WERE NO MAJOR INJURIES OTHER THAN SEVERE BRUISING AND SOME PULLED MUSCLES WHICH WERE CAUSED BY THE SEAT BELTS. THE FAILURE OF THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT DURING A HEAD ON COLLISION OF THIS PROPORTION IS VERY DISTURBING AND AS A RESULT WE HAVE LOST COMPLETE FAITH AND CONFIDENCE IN HONDA'S SAFETY FEATURES. WE ARE VERY THANKFUL THAT THE SEAT BELTS PREVENTED US FROM SLAMMING OUR HEADS INTO THE DASH AND WINDSHIELD, ESPECIALLY SINCE OUR AIR BAGS FAILED US.
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE AND NOTICED ON THE WAY HOME FROM DEALER THAT IT HAD A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING. AT 62MPH THE VIBRATION WAS VERY BAD. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE WEIGHT ON THE WHEEL PROBABLY CAME OFF. I DROVE THIS VEHICLE 300 MILES AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. THEY REMOVED THE WHEEL AND TIRE AND FOUND A BULGE ON FRONT TIRE. THEY REPLACED THE TIRE AND TODAY I GOT AN E-MAIL FROM HONDA MOTOR STATING THIS WAS NOT A HONDA PROBLEM AND I NEEDED TO CONTACT THE TIRE COMPANY [HANKOOK] THIS CAR SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN SOLD AND THE DEFECT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT EITHER WITH THE TIRE MANUFACTURE OR BY HONDA WHEN IT WAS INSTALLED. THEIR TAKE ON THIS IS ALMOST LIKE IT IS MY FAULT I SELECTED THE THE WRONG CAR

RECEIVED "COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER." ERROR MESSAGES NO LESS THAN 5 TIMES. THE 2019 ACCORD TOURING HAS ROUGHLY 5K MILES. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE FIRST TIME AND RESTARTED THE CAR IN THE BAY. THE ERROR LIGHT WENT AWAY AND THEY TOLD ME TO COME BACK IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE ERROR MESSAGE CAME BACK SEVERAL MORE TIMES OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKS. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. I SUGGESTED FAULTY BRAKE SWITCH BE LOOKED AT BUT WAS TOLD THE CAR JUST NEEDED A "REBOOT" AND TO CALL IF I HAD ANY FURTHER ISSUES. THE ISSUE RETURNED SEVERAL DAYS LATER. I BELIEVE IN EACH CASE THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ON AND SPEEDS WERE UNDER 30. I BELIEVE THE SYSTEM WAS APPLYING THE BRAKES AS WE APPROACHED THE CAR AHEAD IN SLOW MOVING STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. ONLY ON ONE OCCASION WAS THERE RAIN OR WET ROADWAYS. IN ALL OTHER INSTANCES THE ROAD AND SKIES WERE CLEAR EACH TIME ON RELATIVELY STRAIGHT ROAD.

I CALLED HONDA OF RACINE RIGHT AFTER THAT HAPPENED AND WAS TOLD TO BRING THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE. HE TOLD ME TO TURN THE SYSTEM OFF. IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON MY DRIVE HOME FROM CHICAGO. BASICALLY THE BRAKES ONLY ENGAGE WHEN I PRESS HARDER ON THE PEDAL BUT DOING SO MAKES THE BRAKING NOT SMOOTH. THIS UNCERTAINTY WHEN THE BRAKES WILL ENGAGE MAKES FOR A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. I HAVE TO HEAVILY CONCENTRATE ON BRAKING. MY CAR IS BRAND NEW WITH ONLY 1450 MILES ON IT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER BUT THEY DO NOT BELIEVE MY STORY EVEN WHEN THEY TEST DRIVE.
IN FIRST 11,000 MILES OF CAR. CMBS SYSTEM HAS SLAMMED ON BRAKES @ SPEEDS OF ~70 MPH ON HIGHWAY. YOU CAN MANUALLY TURN CMBS OFF, BUT YOU CANNOT TURN IT OFF PERMANENTLY. I WORRY THAT I WILL FORGET TO TURN IT OFF ONE DAY AND IT WILL CAUSE ME TO GET REAR ENDED.

THE DEALERS AND HONDA CORPORATE KEEP RESPONDING THAT HONDA DOESN'T HAVE A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM YET, WHICH IS GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR NOW FOR MANY OWNERS, WHICH CAN EASILY BE FOUND BY A GOOGLE SEARCH. IT IS NOT THE TOP OF THE CALF MUSCLE THAT IS IMPEDED, IT IS THE KNEE WHICH LOCKS AGAINST THE OVERLY THICK PLASTIC (2"-3" HIGH) SURROUNDING THE ENTIRE TOP OF THE CENTER CONSOLE, AND SO YOU MUST MAKE MULTIPLE FOOT AND LEG STABBING MOVEMENTS IN ORDER TO WITH DIFFICULTY ACTUALLY ENGAGE THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP AFTER BEING ON THE GAS PEDAL. THIS WOULD EFFECT ALL MALES WITH HEIGHT 5.9" OR OVER AND SOME TALLER WOMEN. THE PROBLEM IS THE KNEE LOCKS TIGHT AGAINST THE CENTER CONSOLES PLASTIC AT THE TOP OF THE CONSOLE, AND YOUR FOOT BECOMES TRAPPED AGAINST THE GAS PEDAL. THE TIME DIFFERENTIAL TO RELOCATE YOUR LEG AND FOOT TO ENGAGE THE BRAKE IS AN ADDITIONAL HALF SECOND OR LONGER. YOU HAVE TO HAV LEGS LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE YOUR KNEE BECOME ADJACENT TO THE 2-3" HIGH THICK PLASTIC ALONG THE TOP EDGE OF THE CENTER CONSOLE WHICH RUNS THE ENTIRE SIDES OF THE CENTER CONSOL AT ITS TOP. IT IS EXTREMELY CRAMPING AND DISRUPTIVE TO LEG MOVEMENT BY PINNING THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE KNEE JOINT. HONDA MUST REMOVE THE AREA OF THAT THICK STRIIP OF HORIZONTAL (FRONT TO BACK) PLASTIC WHERE THE KNEE ENGAGES IT, TO ALLOW ONE TO ROTATE ONE'S FOOT EASILY BETWEEN GAS AND BRAKE. IF THEY DO NOT MULTIPLE FATALITIES MAY OCCUR.
THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS TOO CLOSE TO THE CENTER CONSOLE AND THIS RESULTS IN AN INABILITY TO ROTATE YOUR FOOT EASILY AND ENGAGE THE BRAKE, ONE INSTEAD MUST SLIDE ONES LEG AND FOOT CLEAR OF THAT BELL HOUSING REARWARDS, THEN PUSH FORWARD AND ENAGE THE BRAKE SLOPPILY, IT SLOWS DOWN BRAKING BY ABOUT A SECOND WHICH IS DANGEROUS, AND THERE IS A LIKELIHOOD YOUR SHOE SOUL WILL CATCH THE BRAKE EDGE AND PREVENT BRAKING. ONES LEG AND FOOT FEEL TRAPPED AGAINST THE CENTER CONSOLE HOUSING. I BELIEVE THIS DESIGN DIFFERS FROM 2016 AND BEFORE ACCORDS, AND IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. IT SLOWS YOUR BRAKE REFLEX DOWN AND REQUIRES MULTIPLE RELOCATIONS OF THE HEEL WHICH COULD BLOCK HITTING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND BLOCK ANY BRAKING ALTOGETHER AND THAT COULD LEAD TO MULTIPLE FATALITIES. AT LEAST FOR ME, A 6' TALL MAN IN HIS 60S, THE PEDALS ARE DANGEROUS AND PLACED WRONG. IT IS A DESIGN DEFECT.
ON A TOTAL OF 6 OCCASIONS DURING THE FIRST 4500 MILES OF USING MY NEW CAR, THE BRAKE ALERT SIGN ACTIVATED WITHOUT REASON FOR PROVOCATION, I.E., NO OTHER CARS NEARBY, NOTHING IN ROADWAY. FOUR OCCURRED WHILE DOING 65 MPH ON INTERSTATE. THE LAST 2 OCCASIONS WERE STARTLING AS THE BRAKES WERE TRIGGERED, CAUSING THE CAR TO FISHTAIL AND SWERVE LEFT MOMENTARILY AS IF ATTEMPTING TO AWAKEN A DRIVER FALLING ASLEEP. ON THOSE OCCASIONS I WAS DOING ABOUT 50-55 MPH ON A HIGHWAY WITH OTHER CARS ON THE ROAD BUT NOT CLOSE ENOUGH TO NEED TO BRAKE. ONE TIME I WAS TAKING AN EXIT TO GET ON ANOTHER HIGHWAY. THE OTHER TIME I WAS GOING THROUGH A CONSTRUCTION ZONE BUT THERE WERE NO CIRCUMSTANCES THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE NEED TO BRAKE. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECOND OCCURRENCE AND LEFT FOR 24+ HOURS. THEY ACTED AS IFF THAT COULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED UNLESS I WERE TOO CLOSE TO SOMETHING -- THEY'D NEVER HEARD OF THE PROBLEM. THEY TEST DROVE FOR 13 MILES, AND THE PROBLEM DID NOT OCCUR FOR THEM. NOTHING PROBLEMATIC SHOWED UP ON DIAGNOSTICS. NOTHING WAS DONE TO CORRECT THE SITUATION. I DISABLED THE COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP.
WE BOUGHT A BRAND NEW HONDA ACCORD 2019(LX) ON JUNE 29, 2019. NOT EVEN A MONTH LATER I.E. ON SATURDAY, JULY 27, 2019 AT 7:49 PM MY HONDA ACCORD STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY DUE TO UNKNOWN REASON. BEHIND US WAS A TRUCK AND WE WERE AT 70 MPH HIGHWAY, WE WERE ABOUT TO BE HIT EITHER BY THE TRUCK OR BY THE CAR ON THE RIGHT LANE. THANKS TO THE TRUCK DRIVER AND THE PERSON DRIVING THAT SUV WHO STOPPED IN TIME. WE MERELY ESCAPED DEATH LIKE SITUATION. POST THAT I CALLED HONDA ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE AND THEY ASKED ME TO MOVE TO A SAFE LOCATION AND CALL THEM AGAIN. I TRIED TO DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN AND DROVE COUPLE OF MILES WHERE MY CAR FINALLY STOPPED MOVING AND SMOKE STARTED COMING FROM THE EXHAUST. SCARED WE QUICKLY EVACUATED THE CAR AND MOVED TO A SAFE LOCATION AT 8:23 PM. POST THAT COPS CAME TO ASK WHY WE STOPPED THERE, WE EXPLAINED THEM THE SITUATION. WE WERE TOLD TO STOP THE ENGINE AND WAIT THERE TILL THE TOWING CAR ARRIVED. I HAD SO MUCH TRUST IN HONDA AND WE ARE SO TRAUMATIZED WITH THIS SITUATION AND I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE HOW THIS HAPPENED. THIS IS A BRAND NEW CAR WITH TOTAL MILES OF 657 MILES. I DIDN'T EXPECT THIS FROM A BRAND-NEW CAR. WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO ESCAPE DEATH ON THE HIGHWAY. WE WERE EXHAUSTED AND TERRIFIED WITH THIS EVENT. YESTERDAY HONDA SERVICE CENTER COMPANY CALLED AND TOLD THAT THE THE TURBO CHARGER FAILED INTERNALLY, CAUSING OIL TO GO INTO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. THIS CAUSED CONTAMINATION OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND DAMAGED THE OXYGEN SENSORS. I AM NOT SURE IF I CAN OR ANYONE CAN TRUST HONDA EVER AGAIN. IF SOMETHING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ME OR MY FAMILY WILL HONDA BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS. QUESTION IS DO YOU STILL TRUST HONDA ?
I WAS DRIVING AT THE SPEED OF 45 MPH IN CITY STREET AREA WHEN VEHICLE SENSOR TO BREAK SUDDENLY APPEARED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO MAKE A COMPLETE STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, THERE WAS NO SIGNS OF PEDESTRIANS OR ANY VEHICLE TO CAUSE THE VEHICLE SENSOR TO TURN ON AND BREAK. THE VEHICLE DROVE AS NORMAL AFTER THE COMPLETE STOP AND BREAKING SENSOR APPEARED.
ON 30 JUNE 2019, MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING BACK HOME TO VA FROM OK ON HIGHWAY 40 HEADING WEST NEAR SALLISAW OK. ROAD WAS WET AND WAS CLIMBING A HILL. I STEPPED ON ACCELERATOR TO PASS WHILE GOING ABOUT 65 MPH. THE ENGINE STUMBLED AND SHUTTERED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND CAR WENT FROM APPROX. 65 MPH DOWN TO 25 MPH. I HAD TO GET OVER TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE AND DRIVE ABOUT 6 MILES TO NEXT EXIT AT 25 MPH. PULLED IN AT A GAS STATION, OPEN THE HOOD, CHECKED THE OIL WHICH WAS GOOD. TOOK A BREAK, STARTED IT BACK UP AND DID NOT ATTEMPT TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE UNTIL THE NEXT TRIP TO NH. MILEAGE WAS APPROX. 5500. ON 23 JULY 2019, DRIVING BACK TO VA FROM NH ON HIGHWAY 84 HEADING SOUTH NEAR TOLLAND CT. ROAD WAS WET, LIGHT RAIN AND WAS CLIMBING A HILL. STEPPED ON ACCELERATOR TO PASS WHILE GOING ABOUT 65 MPH. ENGINE STUMBLED AND SHUTTERED, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AND CAR AGAIN WENT FROM 65 MPH DOWN TO 35 MPH. AGAIN HAD TO CRAWL TO THE NEXT EXIT BUT THIS ONE WAS WITHIN 1 MILE. MILEAGE APPROX. 7800. STOPPED AT DUNKIN DONUTS, TOOK A FEW MINUTE BREAK, GOT BACK IN AND BABIED CARE UNTIL GETTING BACK HOME. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND BROUGHT IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC CHECK ON 24 JULY 2019. DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THERE WAS NO RECORD OF THE CAR SHUTTING DOWN OR ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON.
A FEATURE OF THE CAR IS TO SCAN ROAD SIGNS AND DISPLAY SOME ON THE DASHBOARD, SUCH AS SPEED LIMIT. I WAS DRIVING ON ROUTE 100 AND THE CAR DISPLAYED THE SPEED LIMIT AS 100 MPH. IT DID THIS TWICE, IN APPROXIMATELY THE SAME SECTION OF THE HIGHWAY, ONCE NORTHBOUND AND ONCE SOUTHBOUND. THIS OCCURRED WHILE I WAS IN MOTION, BUT THE DISPLAY LINGERED LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO SNAP A PICTURE AT A STOP LIGHT. NOTE: THE OWNER'S MANUAL ADMONISHES DRIVERS TO KEEP THE SCANNERS CLEAN. BUT I HAD JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM A USED CAR DEALER ON 7/23/19, AND KEPT IT IN A GARAGE OVERNIGHT. IT WAS PRISTINE.
LEASED THIS CAR BRAND NEW 2 WEEKS AGO. TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM LIGHT HAS ALREADY CAME ON TWICE. CHECK AIR PRESSURE, IT WAS WHERE IT SHOULD'VE BEEN. LIGHT WENT AWAY AFTER I RESET THE SYSTEM. UPON DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY USING ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND LANE KEEP ASSIST, THE 'COLLISION MITIGATION: BRAKING SYSTEM PROBLEM. SEE YOUR DEALER' MESSAGE POPPED UP. HONDA SENSING FUNCTIONS WERE ALL DISABLED AS WELL AS REGULAR CRUISE CONTROL. THIS HAPPENED ON A CLOUDY EVENING AS THE SUN WAS SETTING. NO RAIN OR INCLEMENT WEATHER. MESSAGE WENT AWAY ONLY AFTER PARKING THE CAR, TURNING IT OFF AND RESTARTING IT. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT INSPECTED BUT THE DIAGNOSTICS TEST CAME BACK INCONCLUSIVE AS THE COMPUTER WAS UNABLE TO DETECT ANY CODES. SERVICE GUY SAID THAT IT COULD'VE JUST BEEN A PLASTIC BAG OR FLYING OBJECT THAT HIT THE SENSOR OF THE CAR CAUSING THE MESSAGE TO POP UP.
BACKUP CAMERA/HONDALINK SOFTWARE DEFECT: GUIDANCE LINES ON REVERSE CAMERA IMAGE DO NOT APPEAR ON DASH DISPLAY OR DISAPPEAR SHORTLY AFTER STARTING THE CAR AND PLACING IT IN REVERSE APPROXIMATELY 20% OF THE TIME. ALSO NOTICE HONDALINK REBOOTS SPONTANEOUSLY A FEW MINUTES LATER MANY TIMES. DEALER CANNOT FIND DEFECT OR RECALL OR TSB FOR PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL/YEAR.
APPLYING BRAKES GIVES A NON-LINEAR RESPONSE THAT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO BRAKE SMOOTHLY AND SAFELY. APPLYING THE BRAKES RESULTS IN VARYING RESPONSES THAT APPEARS NOT TO BRAKE AND THEN SUDDENLY GRABS. I SUSPECT THAT THERE IS EITHER AIR IN THE SYSTEM OR PART FAILURE OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER OR MASTER CYLINDER. DEALER SAID THAT IT IS 'NORMAL' BRAKE RESPONSE FOR THIS MODEL OF VEHICLE EVEN THOUGH THE SALESMAN AND SERVICE TECH FELT THE PROBLEM UPON DRIVING. ALSO HAD COLLISION BRAKE MITIGATION PROBLEM LIGHT GO OFF ON MY WAY HOME FROM DEALER.
I WAS DRIVING AND ENTERING THE FREEWAY WHEN MY CAR MADE A LOUD EXPLODING POP. THERE WERE NO CARS NEXT TO ME AS I WAS ENTERING THE ON-RAMP. THERE WERE NO OVERHEAD BRIDGES OR TREES. NOTHING FELL FROM THE SKY. I STOPPED THE CAR AND FOUND THE SUNROOF SHATTERED WITH A LARGE HOLE. THERE WAS NO DEBRIS INSIDE OTHER THAN GLASS. I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A DEFECT WITH THE SUNROOF THAT CAUSED IT TO SHATTER. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE SHATTERED THIS MUCH WITH JUST NORMAL USE. THIS OCCURRED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER LEAVING MY INDOOR GARAGE SO THE CAR/SUNROOF WAS NOT OVERHEATED. IF THE INNER COVER WAS OPEN AT THE TIME, THE GLASS WOULD HAVE SHATTERED INTO THE CAR AND CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS SAME THING HAPPENING AND THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED WITH THE MANUFACTURERS BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT OR KILLED.
WITH ONLY LESS THAN 800 MILES ON THE CAR, MY 2019 HONDA ACCORD VSA MODULATOR (WHICH WAS DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALERSHIP) FAILED. I FELT THE CAR BEGIN TO BOG ON THE HIGHWAY RIGHT BEFORE WE WERE ON THE EXIT. THEN, THE GAS PEDAL STOPPED WORKING PROPERLY AND THE CAR LOST SPEED. I WOULD PRESS HARD ON THE GAS PEDAL AND THE CAR WOULD TAKE ABOUT 3 SECONDS BEFORE IT STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD, JERKING IN THE DIRECTION I INTENDED IT TO GO. AFTER STRUGGLING A LITTLE WHILE, I LUCKILY PULLED OVER AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK TO SEND MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP. I FELT THAT I WAS VERY LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER. 1ST, IT HAPPENED DURING AN EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WITH HEAVY RAIN, SO THERE WAS NOT MUCH TRAFFIC. 2ND, THE EVENT OCCURRED RIGHT BEFORE WE WERE GOING TO EXIT THE HIGHWAY WITH ONLY A FEW HUNDREDS OF FEET TO GO. ALSO, IT'S IN MY HOMETOWN AND I KNOW THE ROAD VERY WELL. OTHERWISE, AN UNCONTROLLABLE CAR COULD CAUSE VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. IF WE WERE TO CRASH, THE EVENT WOULD LIKELY BE ATTRIBUTED TO DRIVER FAULT - SINCE IT IS SUCH A NEW CAR - RATHER THAN A CRUCIAL CAR PART FAILING, WHICH COULD CAUSE DEATH TO MANY OTHERS WHO BUY NEW HONDA ACCORD 2019S. THEREFORE, I BELIEVE THAT THIS ISSUE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY AND SHOULD BE FURTHER INVESTIGATED.
WITHIN DAYS OF LEASING THE VEHICLE, WE BEGAN EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH THE TRUNK OPENING. THE FIRST TIME AND A FEW SUBSEQUENT TIMES, WE DISCOVERED THE OPEN TRUNK WHILE DRIVING AS A RESULT OF A WARNING LIGHT AND HAD TO STOP AND/OR PULL OVER, EXIT THE CAR, AND CLOSE THE TRUNK. ADDITIONAL TIMES, WE DISCOVERED THE TRUNK OPEN WHILE PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY (4/5 TIMES), IN FRONT OF A GROCERY (ONCE), IN FRONT OF A RESTAURANT (ONCE), AND IN FRONT OF A FAMILY MEMBER'S HOME (ONCE). ON ONE OCCASION, THE TRUNK WAS DISCOVERED OPEN FOLLOWING A NIGHT OF TORRENTIAL RAIN. FORTUNATELY, NO RAIN ENTERED THE TRUNK.
WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND HEARD A LOUD POW LIKE A GUNSHOT. NEXT THING I KNOW MY 2018 HONDA ACCORD SUN ROOF SHATTERED AND EXPLODED WHILE I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AROUND 70MPH. THE SUN ROOF EXPLODED AND GLASS FLEW INTO MY CAR AS WELL AS FLEW DOWN THE HIGHWAY. IT SCRATCHED THE TOP OF THE VEHICLE AS WELL AS THE TRUNK.

THE COLLISION MITIGATION BRAKING SYSTEM AND CRUISE CONTROL RANDOMLY STOP WORKING. IT REQUIRES A RESTART TO ACTIVATE THESE IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURES. THE CAR WAS ON THE HIGHWAY EACH TIME. IT HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES IN THE LAST WEEK. ATTACHED IS A PICTURE OF THE WARNING OF THE FAILURE.
HAVE TAKEN MY BRAND NEW 2019 HONDA ACCORD SPORT 1.5 TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS DUE TO MY CAR NOT TRACKING STRAIGHT. EACH TIME A MINOR TWEAK WAS DONE TO THE ALIGNMENT. AFTER RESEARCHING A BIT MORE I FOUND THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE GEAR BOX BEING FAULTY (53620-TWA-A28) WHICH CAUSES THE TRACKING TO BE OFF WITH AND WITHOUT LANE KEEP ASSIST ENGAGED. I AM TRYING TO GET THIS ISSUE RECTIFIED AND AWAITING DEALER FEEDBACK. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND MADE THEM AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE 2018 AND 2019 ACCORDS ARE VERY SIMILAR AND THE ISSUE IS PRESENT IN 2018S AND A FEW 2019S AFTER READING ACCOUNTS ON 'ACCORDXCLUB.COM'. MY BUILD MONTH AND YEAR WAS NOVEMBER 2018.

ON A NUMBER OF OCCASION, BOTH ON THE HIGHWAY AND DRIVING IN TOWN, THE ADAPTIVE COLLISION CONTROL SYSTEM HAS SIGNALED "BRAKE" WHILE ABRUPTLY APPLYING THE BRAKES EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO OBSTRUCTION ANYWHERE NEAR THE FRONT OR SIDES OF MY VEHICLE, IN ONE CASE NEARLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME TO COLLIDE WITH MY VEHICLE.

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, and 2019-2020 Insight vehicles. A software error may cause intermittent or continuous disruptions in communication between the Body Control Module (BCM) and other components. This may result in malfunctions of various systems such as the windshield wipers and defroster, rearview camera, exterior lights, audible warning of a stopped vehicle, and power window operation. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems" and number 111, "Rear Visibility" as well as FMVSS numbers 104, 108, 114, 118, and 305.
