I took the vehicle to Midas because the smell of eggs was coming from the vehicle, it would jerk upon acceleration, and the oil was empty a week after getting an oil change. Upon researching the vehicle Midas said the vehicle was unsafe to drive and I had to call a dealer because the power train on the car was going. I had the vehicle towed to a Nissan dealer who had my car from Monday to Thursday and claimed they could not find a issue with the car. I was told by Nissan to pick up the vehicle and try to drive it. If anything came up to come back. After being told it was unsafe to drive I called Nissan corporate to escalate and voice my concerns. They suggested sending the car to another Nissan dealer. So again we had it towed. Today this current Nissan dealer is also suggesting maybe the previous shop cleared the computer in the car and to come pick up the car as well and drive it. With no regards to safety or standing by their warranty.
On three separate dates this year the AEB system activated without any reason. There was no vehicle in front of the Rogue Sport and thank God there were no vehicles beyond the Rogue to cause any damage, injuries, or deaths. 1st incident - Feb 2021 - winter snow (17,300 miles) 2nd incident - Mar 2021 - diving over railroad tracks (17,800 miles) 3rd incident - Sept 2021 – rainy conditions (27,700 miles) Rogue was taken to the dealership after 2nd and 3rd incidents. The techs checked for codes, performed system checks, and tried to duplicate the problem. Performed RE flash on the laser radar system (RX6FAA reprogram laser/radar control unit) after 2nd incident.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport. The contact stated while his wife was driving 55 MPH, the brakes applied independently. The contact stated he was not aware if there was a warning light illuminated. The driver was able to continue driving to her destination. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the computer chip to be flashed. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The contact stated they had experienced the failure on three different occasions. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
Twice message center said some kind of data not available and a light on the dash for what looks like two cars crashing illuminates and stays on for about 10 minutes . There is no vehicles nearby when it happens and it only does it when it rains . It happened on 9/9/2021 And about a week before also
3 occurrences of AEB activating with no danger around, 1x when I was pulling into the driving pressing the brake about a month ago and was almost stopped, it suddenly seized to a halt like I had pressed the emergency brake, which I hadn't. 2x it occurred this morning as I was backing up to park next to the curb, there was nothing around and I was in the green sensor line to the curb and have never experienced it backing up yet, again it seized to a halt like the emergency brake had been applied, awful and scary.
The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, there was a burning odor inside the vehicle. After, turning off the vehicle antifreeze started leaking from the radiator. After restarting the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the thermostat and radiator fan were faulty and needed to be replaced. The thermostat was replaced but the failure persisted due to the faulty fan. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 52,000.
We were driving down road going about 55 mph. Our 2019 Nissan Rogue gave us a warning that our tire pressure was low. We immediately pulled over an inspected our tires. The tires appeared fine but the air pressure in the right rear tire was about 5 lbs pressure low. We immediately put the tire manufacturers recommended air pressure. Our vehicle warning light went off and we completed our road trip. On the morning of 6-25 we noticed completed flat rear passenger tire. After further inspection of the tire, we noticed the tire tread had a slight tear from the inside of the tire to the outside of the tire. It was obvious the damage was not caused by road debris or any road hazards or miles on these tires. We have not put more than 12,000 miles on this tire. These tires were about a year old and the tread was within the safety depth. This could have cause an accident in which substantial injury or death could have occurred. Yokohama tires should be ashamed of this lack of quality. It is believed this tire was manufactured in the Yokohama Mississippi tire plant in January- Feburary of 2019. Radiator Fan Assembly within the 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport | Car radiator was at risk of overheating and malfunctioning. Air conditioning would shut down as radiator overheated. This put drivers and passengers at risk. Since the fan does not work, the radiator and engine is at risk of overheating. | This problem has been confirmed by local Midas service center as well as Berman Nissan of Chicago. Both service center and dealer confirmed that they have seen this specific component malfunction specifically in 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport vehicles. The component is on backorder nationwide due to the demand to replace. | Check engine light appeared briefly after radiator overheated. Light then disappeared after car cooled down.
At 19000 miles my 2019 Rogue Sport stopped registering my gas level electronically. At the same time I started having random sudden flashes if bright light from the electronic dash lasting for a couple of seconds. I also started experiencing random issues with the climate control and entertainment controller. Both will at times just start adjusting themselves and randomly turning themselves on and off. Went to local dealership and was told that there were no issues they could find. Was told however that per a Nissan service bulletin that as far as the gas reading I am not following appropriate fueling and I need to burn more fuel before I fill up. Funny that I have had no issues in the year and a half that I have car yet I have not changed my fueling routine. Was told I was on my own when it came to the other issues as they could not make a diagnosis. I also find it funny that they have a service bulletin for what the state is my fault. This bulletin shows me that others are experiencing the same thing. Appears they would rather wait for my warranty to expire so it will be more profitable for them.
With no prior issues, while accelerating from a full stop, the AEB system engaged on a clear roadway. I was traveling no more than 20 mph. The front collision warning beeped, warning lights on the dashboard flashed, the ABS rumbled and slowed my vehicle. There was absolutely nothing on the roadway to trigger this. It was daylight and the road was dry and clear. There were no vehicles, pedestrians or even animals in my path. Had there been another vehicle behind me, I could have been rear ended. I've made an appt at the dealer and will have this looked into ASAP.
I HAVE EXPERIENCED SUDDEN ACCELERATION, AND SUDDEN STALLING ON THE HIGHWAY, COBB PKWY, AND AT A ZAXBY'S RESTAURANT WHEN I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON FOUR OR MORE OCCASIONS. I ALMOST HIT A CAR LAST WEEK WHEN MY CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. I STEERED MY CAR TO THE RIGHT NEXT TO A CURB TO AVOID A COLLISION. I ALMOST GOT HIT BY A CAR ON COBB PKWY. WHEN MY CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED ON ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I HAD MY TWO AUTISTIC DAUGHTERS IN THE CAR EACH TIME THESE EVENTS OCCURRED. WE WERE VERY SCARED EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MANY OTHER PEOPLE WHO OWN NISSAN ROGUES AND PATHFINDERS. I THINK A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED ON THESE CARS BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. PRAYERFULLY, NO ONE HAS DIED FROM THESE ISSUES.
ERROR CODE P0304 HAS APPEAR 3 TIMES, I TOOK MY CAR TO DEALER THEY CHECKED AND ONLY THING THEY DO IS UPDATE SOFTWARE AND LAST TIME THEY CHANGED MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. TODAY THE SAME ERROR P0304 SHOW UP FOR 4TH TIME.
WHILE THE SUV WAS IN PARK (STATIONARY). THE GEAR SHIFT MAY SLIDE TO NEUTRAL WITH LITTLE CONTACT AND WITHOUT PRESSING THE BUTTON ON THE ACTUAL GEAR SHIFTER. THE SUV MAY ROLL IN AN INCLINE SPECIFIC DIRECTION AND POSE SERIOUS IF NOT DEADLY DAMAGE TO VEHICLE AND ANY PASSENGERS. THE CAUSE MAY HAVE ALSO BEEN ATTRIBUTED TO FAULTY GEAR SWITCH RELEASE BUTTON. THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED IN A PARKING LOT RAISED ABOVE STREET LEVEL OFF OF BLAIR ROAD.*DT*DT*DT*DT THE CONSUMER STATED SHE DOES NOT OWN THE VEHICLE IT WAS A RENTAL.
BRAKE PEDAL STIFF UNABLE TO START CAR PUSH BUTTON START ALSO BRAKE MAKES CLICKING NOISE WHEN CAR SHUT OFF AND YOU TAP ON BREAK STIFF PEDAL HAPPENS ONLY ON FIRST START AND NOT ALL THE TIME ONCE CAR STARTS BRAKES ARE OK CAR IS AT DEALERSHIP FOR FOUR DAYS THIS SECOND TIME CAR IN FOR SERVICE IN LAST TWO WEEKS
THE SEAT BELTS IN THE BACK SEAT DO NOT WORK PROPERLY, THE ONE ON THE LEFT DOESN'T COME OUT, THE ONE ON THE RIGHT WILL NOT GO BACK IN PLACE.
I WAS DRIVING, APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES PER HOUR WITH A BOTHER CAR MORE THAN 3 CAR LENGTHS IN FRONT OF ME WHEN A GRINDING SOUND OCCURRED AND BRAKES WEN ON AUTOMATICALLY AND A CHIMING ALARM SOUND WENT OFF. LASTED FOR ABOUT 6 SECONDS THEN JUST AUTOMATICALLY WENT AWAY. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS CLOSE BEHIND ME AND LUCKILY MY DAUGHTER WAS NOT IN THE CAR. WAS VERY SCARY. I AM GOING TO TAKE CAR TO NISSAN SERVICE BUT WHEN I LOOKED THIS UP ONLINE I SAW THERE WERE MANY OTHERS THAT SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THIS HAPPENED.
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE FROM CARMAX ON 12/05/2020. I NEVER WAS ABLE TO TAKE A TEST DRIVE DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. HOWEVER, WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME MY SISTER TOOK OFF HER SEAT BELT WHEN WE WERE IN THE PARKING LOT IN MY APARTMENTS. I NOTICED THE SEATBELT DIDN'T CHIME. SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING DAY AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE IT OUT. THEY HAD ME TAKE IT TO A NISSAN DEALER AND THEY RAN THE TEST THING ON IT AND SAID THAT, THAT PARTICULAR NISSAN DIDN'T COME WITH THE CHIME. SO I ORDERED A MANUAL FOR THE CAR AND IT SAYS IT DOES. I THINK IT'S A BIG SAFETY HAZARD. 80% OF THE TIME I FORGET TO PUT ON MY SEAT BELT WHEN I FIRST GET IN IT. WHY WOULD THEY NOT ADD THIS TO THE 2019 ROGUE SPORT? I ORIGINALLY BOUGHT THE 2020 AND IT CHIMED.
CAR LOST POWER DIED AND GOT A MALFUNCTION WARNING. BASICALLY THE CAR COMPUTER THOUGHT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT LOST POWER AND DIED NO WARNING. WILL START THEN DIE. I WAS DRIVING ON THE ON RAMP STATE ROUTE 23 OHIO. HAD TO BE TOWED.
AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM FAILURE ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS NOV AND DEC 2020 AEB LIGHT HAS COME ON AND SYSTEM FAILED; PREVIOUS ISSUE REPAIRED BY NISSAN WITHIN THE YEAR; CAR HAS SAME DIAGNOSTIC CODE COULD NOT BE FIXED BY DEALER HAD TO CONTACT NISSAN DIRECTLY
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO BACK OUT OF MY GARAGE THE REAR AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING ENGAGED. THERE IS NO REASON IT SHOULD HAVE ENGAGED, IT WAS DARK OUT BUT NOTHING WAS AROUND. THE CAR MADE A HORRIBLE SOUND WHICH SCARED EVERYONE IN IT. THANKFULLY IT WAS NOT ON THE HIGHWAY LIKE OTHERS HAVE BEEN. I HAVE DISABLED THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM OPTION BUT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MY CAR I HAVE OWNED FOR 45 DAYS DOING THIS.
THE 1ST ISSUE WAS ON 01/25/20 WHEN THE FRONT AEB MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING. I IMMEDIATELY SCHEDULED TO GET THE VEHICLE INTO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. THEY FOUND CODES C1A16-97 & B2724-23 AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A FAULTY SONAR CONTROL UNIT, WHICH HAD TO BE ORDERED AND WAS EVENTUALLY REPLACED ON 03/04/20. THE AEB SYSTEM WORKED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR, THEN IT STOPPED WORKING AGAIN! I CALLED THE SERVICE ADVISOR AND MADE HIM AWARE OF THE ISSUE. I TOOK IT UP AND TOOK A ROAD TEST WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, AND SHOWED HIM EXACTLY HOW CLOSE I GET TO A VEHICLE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME, AND NOT HITTING THE BRAKE, AND THE SYSTEM DID NOT GIVE ANY VISUAL OR AUDIBLE WARNING. I DROPPED THE VEHICLE OFF ON 3/10/20 AND THEY CHECK IT OUT. I WAS TOLD, THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE CONCERN, AND THE SYSTEM IS WORKING AS DESIGNED. I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE, THE SYSTEM STILL WAS NOT WORKING. AFTER ABOUT 2 WEEKS, IN WHICH THE SYSTEM DID NOT WORK, OUT OF THE CLEAR BLUE, DRIVING TO WORK IN MODERATE TRAFFIC ONE MORNING, THE AEB SYSTEM BEGAN WORKING AS IT DID WHEN NEW, AND WORKED UNTIL AROUND 7PM ON 10/27/20, WHEN AS I WAS TRAVELING AT 40 MPH ON A HIGHWAY, AND NO VEHICLES AHEAD OF ME IN MY LANE, OR ALONG SIDE OF ME, THE TRAFFIC LIGHT WAS GREEN, AND AS I STARTED TO GO THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, THE AEB SYSTEM ACTIVATED, STOPPING MY VEHICLE FAIRLY QUICKLY, THEN RELEASED, AND I WAS ABLE TO PROCEED. I IMMEDIATELY, LOOKED IN MY REAR-VIEW MIRROR, AND LUCKILY, THE VEHICLE DIRECTLY BEHIND ME, WAS A DISTANCE AWAY, OR I POSSIBLY COULD HAVE BEEN REAR ENDED. TOTAL B.S NISSAN IS ALLOWED TO DRAG THEIR FEET ON THIS LONG ONGOING ISSUE! I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER ON 10/30/20 TO HAVE THEN CHECK THE ISSUE, AND AGAIN, TOLD TECH DROVE VEHICLE, AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE CONCERN. I JUST COULDN'T BELIEVE, EVEN AFTER THIS ISSUE, IT WAS THE SAME RESPONSE, UNABLE TO DUPLICATE CONCERN.
PROCEEDING FROM TRAFFIC LIGHT, MERGING LEFT WITH TRAFFIC, WHILE ACCELERATING CAR/SUV HAD A COMPLETE POWER FAILURE, SHOOK VIOLENTLY, ALL LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD WENT ON. I HAD NO POWER AND/OR CONTROL OF VEHICLE. IT WAS DANGEROUS, SCARY AND I SHOOK LIKE VEHICLE DID. LUCKILY, I WAS ON A SLIGHT INCLINE, SO I COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I TURNED VEHICLE OFF/ON AND IT DID NOT REOCCUR. TOOK INTO DEALER, THEY DID NOTHING AND EVEN MISREPRESENTED HOW MANY MILES THEY ALLEGEDLY DROVE TO TRY AND REPLICATE.
WATER LEAKS INTO THE CABIN ABOVE THE BREAK/GAS PEDALS AFTER RAIN/CAR WASH

NAVIGATION SYSTEM HAS INTERMITTENT STOPPAGES. AFTER BRIEF USE FOR LOCAL TRAVEL, INCLUDING DESTINATION AND MAPPING, SYSTEM FAILS TO RESTART FOR ADDITIONAL USE. CANNOT ACCESS MAP FEATURE NOR ACCESS NAVIGATION SYSTEM THROUGH TOUCH SCREEN. THIS OCCURRED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS BOTH MOVING AND STATIONARY. THIS WAS NOT A ONE-TIME OCCURRENCE. VEHICLE WAS SEEN BY DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO FIND A PROBLEM.
FIRST INCIDENT HAPPENED 8/11/20; TRIED TO START CAR AT HOME 4 TIMES WHILE DEPRESSING BREAK. AAA WAS CALLED FOR A POSSIBLE BATTERY ISSUE. THE BATTERY WAS CHARGED BUT THE BREAK WOULD NOT DEPRESS. AAA WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR STARTED. THE NEXT INCIDENT HAPPENED 8/15/20; WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AT NIGHT 1/4 MILE FROM HOME, THE CAR STARTED TO HESITATE LIKE IT WAS BRAKING AND THE ABS MALFUNCTION LIGHT LIT UP ON THE DASHBOARD. WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME BUT DASHBOARD LIGHTS WERE STILL ILLUMINATED. NO CARS IN THE VICINITY WHEN THIS HAPPENED. ON 8/17/20, THE DEALERSHIP (NISSAN OF NORWICH, CT) PICKED THE CAR UP AND RESET THE COMPUTER. DEALERSHIP NOTED IT WAS A FORWARD COLLISION MALFUNCTION WARNING. DEALERSHIP STORED CODE C1A16-97. DEALERSHIP NOTED TO KEEP THE GRILL SENSOR CLEAN OF DEBRIS AND BUGS.
THE COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM ENGAGED WHEN I WAS DRIVING. THE ROAD WAS CLEAR THERE WAS NOTHING TO CAUSE THE BRAKE SYSTEM TO ENGAGE. I AM SCARED TO GO ON THE HIGHWAY NOW FOR FEAR IT WILL ENGAGE. I WAS TRAVELING AT ABOUT 40 MPH ON A STRAIGHT PORTION OF THE ROAD DURING A SUNNY DAY
WHEN THE HEAT OR A/C IS TURNED ON THE CAR MAKES A VERY LOUD NOISE AND THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE CAR VIBRATES. THE CAR IS 9 MONTHS OLD. I WAS TOLD IT WILL BE OVER $800 TO INSPECT THE PROBLEM. I WAS ALSO TOLD THIS IS A "COMMON PROBLEM" YET THERE IS NO HOPE OF A RECALL OR OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE MANUFACTURER. I DRIVE THE VEHICLE EVERY SINGLE DAY TO MULTIPLE PLACES AND IT IS NEVER PARKED IN THE SAME SPOT FOR MORE THAN 10 HOURS AT A TIME. *TR
AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHTS AND FAILURE ACTIVATED WITHOUT USE, VEHICLE WAS MOVING LESS THAN 20 MPH AND > 10 MPH AND WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON SUGGESTING IMMEDIATE SERVICE. *TR
I PURCHASED MY 2019 ROGUE SPORT ON LABOR DAY. I HAD IT LESS THAN 2 WEEKS WHEN THE FRONT COLLISION SENSOR STARTED FLASHING RANDOMLY. I HAVE HAD IT IN TWICE AND THEY HAVE NOT FIXED IT NOR ARE THEY CONCERNED. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS IT CAN BE CAUSED BY A DIRTY CAR OR COLD TEMPERATURES. THE LAST TIME THEY HAD MY VEHICLE FOR JUST SHORT OF 3 WEEKS AND DID NOTHING. BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SEE THE SENSOR THEY ASSUME IT ISN'T A PROBLEM. THE DAY AFTER I GOT IT BACK THE SENSOR WAS BACK ON AND CONTINUE TO TURN ON RANDOMLY. THERE IS NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME, IT'S NOT COLD OUT, AND MY VEHICLE IS CLEAN. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I AM DRIVING. I AM HESITANT TO DRIVE IT FAR AS I WOULD HATE TO HAVE IT ENGAGE THE BRAKE SYSTEM BECAUSE IT THINKS I'M GOING TO WRECK.
WE WERE DRIVING ON A STREET WITH NO CARS IN FRONT OF OR NEXT TO US AND THE AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKES JUST SUDDENLY ACTIVATED FOR NO REASON.
PURCHASED 11.23.2019. ON 11.26.19 AS I WAS STARTING TO GO UP A STEEP RAMP INTO THE PARKING GARAGE AT WORK, THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED. I WAS BEING TRAILED BY A MERCEDES THAT COULD HAVE REAR ENDED ME. 11.30.19 I TOOK THE CAR TO ANOTHER NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. IT CHECKED OUT FINE. THERE WERE NO RECALLS OR SERVICE BULLETINS TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM. I FOUND WHERE THE 2017-2018S ARE BEING INVESTIGATED BUT THE 2019S NEED TO BE ADDED TO THE INVESTIGATION. 12.4.19 GOING UP THE SAME RAMP BUT MORE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RAMP THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED AGAIN AND I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A VERY LARGE PICK UP TRUCK WHO WAS TAILING VERY CLOSE AS MOST PEOPLE IN JACKSON MISSISSIPPI DO. THERE ARE NO RECALLS OR SERVICE BULLETINS RELATED TO THIS PROBLEM BUT THERE SHOULD BE. BECAUSE THIS IS OCCURRING SO FAR ONLY ON THE PARKING GARAGE RAMP, IT WOULD SEEM THAT THE SENSORS ARE GIVING FALSE INFORMATION BECAUSE OF THE ACTIVITY. NISSAN NEEDS TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THANK YOU.
VEHICLE SUDDENLY STARTED BREAKING ON ITS OWN FOR NO REASON, WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET.
I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON A MAIN STREET AT ABOUT 30 MPH, WHEN SUDDENLY IT STOPPED HARD. THE IMPACT OF THE STOP MADE ME HIT MY CHEST AGAINST THE STIRRING WHEEL.. NOW I HAVE A PAINFUL ACHE ON MY CHEST AND BACK..MY BODY FEELS VERY SORE FROM THIS SUDDEN IMPACT. THE CAR IIS NEW! THESE TYPE OF INCIDENTS SHOULD NOT BE PART OF OUR DRIVING EXPERIENCE, AT ALL!
I BOUGHT THIS ROGUE ON 11/02/19. IT HAS 800 MILES ON IT. I GOT OUT OF WORK TODAY AND STARTED IT. I PUT IT IN GEAR AND THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE. THE EMERGENCY BRAKING LIGHT WAS LIT ON THE SCREEN. THERE WAS NOTHING AROUND ME. THE CAR IS CLEAN AND THE SENSOR IS NOT OBSTRUCTED. I PUT IT BACK IN PARK TURNED IT OFF AND RESTARTED IT AND IT WAS FINE AFTER THAT.
WHEN TURNING RIGHT INTO A PARKING SPACE THE CAR RAPIDLY ACCELERATED ON IT'S OWN AT FULL SPEED SENDING MY CAR INTO A CEMENT POLE. THE CAR WENT OVER THE POLE AND STOPPED. NONE OF AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. SOMEONE CALLED 911 AND THE MY HUSBAND TOOK ME TO THE ER.
