The contact owns a 2016 Buick Lacrosse. The contact stated that upon reversing, he noticed that the steering wheel had lost power steering functionality. The “Power Steering Failure” warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that he was able to forcefully steer the steering wheel and drove to his residence that was not too far away. The contact stated that the next day, he restarted the vehicle and he noticed that the vehicle had regained power steering functionality. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the power steering control module had failed. The dealer reprogrammed the power steering control module. The contact drove the vehicle to his residence. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V116000 (Steering) however, the vehicle year was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.
The right side power mirror changes position by itself, it only seems to occur when starting vehicle. It will change even if the correct position is entered into the memory. It happens numerous times in a day or not at all. And I took it in for service, the dealer said there is nothing wrong, we cannot duplicate the issue. So they could not fix it.
THE PASSENGER SIDE POWER MIRROR CHANGES POSITION BY ITSELF. ALSO WHEN I HIT A BAD BUMP OR POTHOLE THE DOORS UNLOCK
SERVICE: POWER STEERING DRIVE WITH CARE AS I TURNED ON MY STREET. AS I TURNED TO PARK THE STEERING WHEEL WAS VERY HARD TO TURN. WENT TO CHECK POWER STEERING FLUID, NO POWER STEERING PUMP. THIS VEHICLE HAS ELECTRIC POWER STEERING, HOWEVER FUSE #23 IS A 10 AM FUSE BUT IT WAS GOOD. THERE IS NO 80 AMP FUSE ON THE BATTERY POST. THIS IS A HAZARD AND SHOULD BE FIXED.
AT 25 - 30 MPH AND AT 45 - 50 MPH THE CAR SHAKES VIOLENTLY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THEY SAID THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS. I NEED A NEW LOWER AND UPPER TRANSMISSION. THAT IS THE RECOMMENDED FIX. THAT IS SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS TO CHEVY TRANSMISSIONS AND THE COST IS $5400. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IF THIS IS SOMETHING THAT GOES WRONG ALL THE TIME, THAT'S A PROBLEM THAT I DID NOT CREATE. MY VEHICLE IS WORTH LESS THAN THE COST OF THE FIX AND I STILL OWE MORE THAN TWICE THE COST OF THE FIX.

MY FUEL LINE RUBBED AGAINST A METAL BRACKET IN THE CAR TAKING AWAY THE INSULATION. THE ONLY WAY I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS WAS BECAUSE I CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS ON THE CAR. I HAVE ASKED BUICK TO REPLACE THE LINE HOWEVER THEY REFUSED BECAUSE OF HOW MANY MILES I HAVE ON THE CAR.

IN ADDITION, WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE FORWARD. ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, INCLUDING THE CHECK ENGINE WRENCH, TRACTION CONTROL, AND STABILITRAK. IN ADDITION, THE SPEEDOMETER AND TEMPERATURE INDICATORS WOULD GO TO ZERO. ALSO, WHEN DRIVING 50 MPH, THE RPMS WOULD GO UP AND DOWN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TEXAN GMC BUICK (18225 EASTEX FWY, HUMBLE, TX 77338, (281) 973-3117) SIX TIMES WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT MULTIPLE FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND AND THERE WAS A LOSS OF COMMUNICATION. THE DEALER PERFORMED A CALIBRATION AND CLEARED ALL THE CODES. THE VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN AND ALL THE GAUGES WERE AT ZERO. THE FOLLOWING FAILURE CODES WERE FOUND: U0100-U2099-U0140-U0120 (STORED IN TRANS, BCM, PARK BRAKE, FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE, ENGINE CONTROL MODULE FAILING INTERMITTENTLY, REPLACE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE ASSEMBLY, PERFORMED PROGRAMMING AND MOBILIZER LEARN AND SETUP PROCEDURES, CLEAR FAULT, AND ROAD TEST). THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: [XXX]. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000. ADAPTIVE CRUISE ENGAGES ANTILOCK BRAKES IN A RANDOM MANNER EVEN WHEN NO CAR IS IN FRONT OF YOU WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AT A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT SPEEDS. HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.

THIS IS TO AMEND COMPLAINT NUMBER 11051891. CAUSE OF UNINTENDED ACCELERATION WAS AFTERMARKET FLOOR MAT INSTALLED BY THE BUICK DEALER! FLOOR MAT HAS DIAGONAL GROOVES MOLDED INTO THE RUBBER IN EXACTLY THE WORST SPOT SUCH THAT THE CORNER OF ACCELERATOR PEDAL CATCHES IN THE GROOVE AND HOLDS THE THROTTLE WIDE OPEN. I GUESS THEY DIDN'T LEARN FROM THE TOYOTA / LEXUS DISASTERS AND DARN NEAR KILLED ME IN THE PROCESS!
I HAD PARKED IN THE VISITORS PARKING SPACE AT THE NURSING HOME. I WANTED TO STRAIGHTEN MY CAR IN THE SPACE. WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE, MY CAR LUNGED FORWARD AT AN UNCONTROLLABLE FAST SPEED, WENT ACROSS THE SIDEWALK, HIT THE VISITORS PARKING SIGN, WENT ACROSS SOME GRASS, ACROSS THE MAIN SIDEWALK TO THE BUILDING, ACROSS SOME MORE GRASS, HIT THE VISITORS PARKING SIGN ON THE OTHER SIDE, AND ACROSS THE SIDEWALK. I FINALLY GOT IT STOPPED IN THE PARKING LOT BY APLYING THE BRAKE. SINCE MY WHEELS WERE TURNED TO PARK, THE CAR MADE A COMPLETE CIRCLE WITH THE WHEELS STILL TURNED. I BELIEVE THERE IS A DEFECT IN THIS VEHICLE WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH OR CAUSE A DEATH!. I WAS FORTUNATE THIS TIME! WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN AGAIN?. CONSEQUENTLY WE HAVE A CAR WHICH WE ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE. I BELIEVE THERE IS A DEFECT OF SOME KIND WHICH CAUSED MY ACCIDENT. THIS IS A BUICK LACROSSE 2016 WITH LESS THAT 5,000 MILES ON IT.
FROM STANDING STOP OR WHILE IN MOTION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, STOMP THE ACCELERATOR TO COMMAND IMMEDIATE ACCELERATION: ACCELERATOR SOMETIMES STICKS IN WIDE OPEN THROTTLE RESULTING IN UNINTENDED SUSTAINED ACCELERATION. FIRST COUNTER-MEASURE TRIED - SLAP THE GEAR SELECTOR HANDLE TO NEUTRAL POSITION; HOWEVER, ENGINE REMAINS IN WOT CONDITION. SECOND COUNTER-MEASURE - PUSH THE ENGINE OFF SWITCH AND COAST TO A STOP. THIRD COUNTER-MEASURE - STOP THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AGAIN UNTIL IT COMES UN-STUCK. IN LIGHT OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COUNTER-MEASURE #3, I BELIEVE THE FAULT IS IN THE LINKAGE FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO THE THROTTLE CONTROL - PROBABLY IN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL LINKAGE ITSELF.
AS I WAS HEADING OUT OF TOWN FOR MY DAILY COMMUTE TO WORK I HEARD A LOUD POP NOISE. I LOOKED UP AND NOTICED MY SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED ABOVE ME. I WAS GOING ABOUT 40 MPH AND HAD NO TRAFFIC AROUND ME. I TURNED AROUND AND HEADED BACK HOME WHERE I NOTICED THAT THE GLASS WAS BENT UPWARD AS IF THERE WAS TOO MUCH PRESSURE IN THE CABIN. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID SOMETHING HAD TO OF HIT IT WHICH I DO NOT BELIEVE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC AROUND ME AND THE HOLE WAS ABOUT 1FT BY 1FT WITH THE GLASS BENT UPWARD AS IF IT WAS SOMETHING FROM THE INSIDE THAT CAUSED IT TO EXPLODE. I LOOKED UP ON LINE AND NOTICED THAT THE 2015 BUICK REGAL AND CHEVY CRUZE BOTH HAD TO HAVE RECALLS WHERE THEY REPLACED THIN GLASS IN SUNROOFS. TO ME IT APPEARS THIS IS THE CASE FOR MY 2016 BUICK LACROSSE WHERE THE GLASS WAS TOO THIN.

SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING IN HUMID WEATHER, THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD HAS QUICKLY FOGGED UP TO THE POINT OF BLINDING ME. THE DEFROSTERS ARE SHOOTING A FOG OF MOISTURE ONTO THE GLASS. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE HVAC CHECKED AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THIS CONDITION WAS NORMAL. SEEMS DANGEROUS TO ME?
RENTED AUTO FROM ENTERPRISE LEASING COMPANY OF ST. LOUIS, DROVE 412 MILES WITH THE SEAT HEATERS ON. WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE CAR I FELT AN INTENSE BURNING SENSATION ON MY LOWER BACK. BEFORE BED MY HUSBAND LOOKED AT IT AND SAID IT WAS VERY VERY RED. I AM A BACK SLEEPER SO I HAD A VERY RESTLESS NIGHT. BY THE NEXT MORNING THE RED SPOTS HAD BLISTERED AND ARE PAINFUL. I CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE TO REPORT THE INCIDENT AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO TALK TO ENTERPRISE LEASING COMPANY OF ST. LOUIS; WHICH IS JUST RIDICULOUS - ENTERPRISE DID NOT MAKE THE CAR! EVENTUALLY I WAS GIVEN CASE NUMBER 8-1897481531. I HAVE READ OTHER REPORTS OF GM BEING SUED FOR BURNS FROM SEAT HEATERS, GM SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO INSTALL A SAFETY FEATURE TO PROTECT CONSUMERS FROM THIS FEATURE.
