Summary

Just got the car from someone, and the air bag light comes up and stays on all the time the engine starts, trying all the ways to reset the light and not working, I found online that many same car owners has the same problem and there is no recall from the manufacturer, Nissan cars has a lot of air bags problems., my car has no collision and has only 62000 miles. Going to a dealer to ask about the price to fix and was told about more than a thousand dollars and not guaranteered'

Vehicle was shuddering or hiccuping accelerating and decelerating on its own without any warning lights turning on. Warning light (MIL) only came on after total failure and car would not move forward at all.without any control of acceleration I was forced to let the vehicle roll down the hill I was on to coast it into a parking lot to be off the road, while traffic was behind me causing a potentially dangerous situation as it was on a short street so line of cars driving the wrong direction with traffic entering behind going the appropriate direction.

Summary

The car was parked over night and it was raining that night. The next day I went to move the car, started & warning lights went on. The windshield wiper water trough got clogged due to tree leafs falling in & the water overflow & entered the car by the air vent in to the car floor The 360-deg. Camera system module under the carpet, under the front passenger seat. It Drowned in rain water. Causing the car computers to Mel function. Drove it to a mechanic & that is when he told me that I need to replace the camera module & the air bag module. I was not able to go faster then 15 or 20 MPH in the HWAY & lost my left & right signal flashers. 1) Car MFG should put a leaf filter screen in the trough. 2) never put electronic computer under a carping. MFG are aware that water can go there. And it’s a water trap.

Car has had problems since day one when it was purchased for lack of power going up hills, and when changing lanes it shutters. Also since day one door latches have a problem working in cold weather.....Now at 46,ooo miles the right front passenger door does not want to open from outside, and sometimes will not open from inside, and the rear hatch will not open at all. The drivers door you have a 50/50 chance of it..may or may not open. This is a long term problem with Nissan cars and is a major safety problem if you cannot get out of a car. It is also problem that effects the safety of those who ride in Nissan Cars.....This has been a service bulletin and should be a major recall... It needs to be address...just look at the youtube video's its a common problems..

The transmission completely went on my vehicle at 87,015 miles. I regularly drive on a major highway and had this happened while on the highway it could have been catastrophic as speeds generally exceed 70MPH on this road. The problem has been confirmed by my dealer. Nissan will not back the repair as I am 3,015 miles out of warranty. There were no warning lights prior to the failure.

We have a 2016 Nissan Versa Note with 85,000 miles on it. The car transmission failed while driving. The car suddenly decelerates even with the gas engaged. This is a serious safety issue and could case a serious accident. Nissan extended the warranty to 84,000 miles because they know this is an issue but won't issue a recall. They also want stand behind their vehicle and help with repar costs. They want $4,000 to to replace the transmission.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Versa. The contact stated upon noticing that the glass of the rear passenger side brake light bulb was dark, he disassembled the part and he discovered that the plate, the brake light system, and circuit were severely corroded, and water had leaked inside the housing. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to take vehicle to their location for diagnostic testing however, he would be responsible for the cost of diagnostic test. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 6,500.

My vehicle stops running whenever I turn on heater or A/C. When either is turned on, dashboard lights up with four or five other lights like battery, P/S, Brake, Temp, and other. When A/C or heater is not turned on, then my car is running. It looks like my vehicle may be defective in some way. I bought it only last year and I don’t understand why this particular control for heater or A/C is causing the problems. I believe some parts may be sub-standard and they may will cause some problems one day.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Versa Note. The contact stated while driving at 70 mph, the vehicle would inadvertently decrease in speed to 30 MPH. The contact stated that the RPMs would fluctuate while driving. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic but could not be diagnosed by an unauthorized dealer. The vehicle was not repaired but the contact had an oil change. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with nothing to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact then stated two days later, the contact heard a loud scraping noise coming from the engine compartment. The contact then took the vehicle back to the same dealer for a second time where it was diagnosed with the transmission needing to be replaced due to metal shards being found in the transmission pan. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 101,000.

THE SERVICE DEPT RETURN MY CALL AND NOTIFIED ME THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS OUT ON A LESS THAN FOUR YEARS OLD VEHICLES THAT I PURCHASED BRAND NEW FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I HAD ISSUES WITH THE GEARS THAT INITIALLY THE ISSUE SHOWED UP AS A PROBLEM WITH AC/HEATER NOT WORKING PROPERLY, BUT WHEN THE MECHANIC EXAMINED THE ISSUE, IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH GEARS. SOON AFTER THAT, MY CAR BEGAN TO HESITATE WHILE DRIVING AND THEN BEGAN TO SMELL LIKE SOMETHING BURNT. THE CAR WAS WELL MAINTAINED, I DID REGULAR MAINTENANCE AS INSTRUCTED IN THE MANUAL, BUT IT WAS AROUND 60,000 MILEAGE WHEN ISSUES BEGAN TO SHOW UP AND AROUND 90,000 WHEN IT BEGAN HESITATING AND SMELLING. IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE ON CITY STREETS BECAUSE IT WILL NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY AND SO I CANNOT DRIVE IT ON THE HIGHWAY. I CONTACTED NISSAN WHILE I HAD MILEAGE IN THE RANGE OF 80K-84K TO SEE IF THEY WILL EXAMINE MY CVT, GIVEN THE CURRENT LAWSUIT, FREE OF CHARGE. BUT THEY STATED THAT THE LAWSUIT HASN'T BEEN SETTLED YET AND THAT BY THE TIME IT IS, I WILL LIKELY BE OVER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY.

THE FOLLOWING YEAR I HAD MY BRAKES CHECK AND THE SERVICE STATION CLAIMED THE COULDN'T FIND ANY THING WRONG WITH THEM. I HAD MY BRAKES SERVICED BEFORE THE WINTER OF 2018. I HAVE MENTIONED THESE PROBLEMS AT 2 DIFFERENT NISSAN DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENTS 4 INDIVIDUAL TIMES AND THE ONLY RESPONSE I GET IS THAT IT WILL BE AROUND $250 TO CHECK AND SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND THAT THE WARRANTY PROBABLY WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE HAS 33K MILES CURRENTLY AND I WILL BE TRYING ONE MORE TIME TO HAVE THE ISSUES RESOLVED AT THE 35K MILE SERVICE BEFORE THE WARRANTY EXPIRES AT 36K. HOWEVER, THERE WAS ONE INCIDENT WHEN THE NOZZLE CONTINUED DISPENSING GASOLINE WHILE THE NOZZLE WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND. I HAD TO QUICKLY PICK UP THE NOZZLE AND TURN IT OFF. THIS PROBLEM DOES NOT OCCUR EVERY TIME I FILL THE CAR WITH GASOLINE, BUT I FEEL THAT THERE IS A RECURRING ISSUES HERE AND IT SHOULD BE RESOLVED BECAUSE OF THE RISK AND HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH SPILLED GASOLINE.

FIRST COMPLAINT WAS ACKNOWLEDGED ON OCTOBER 28, 2015 BUT CLAIMED THERE WASN'T ANY ABNORMALITIES FOUND. ON DECEMBER 8, 2015, MARCH 16, 2016, APRIL 22, 2016, AUGUST 17, 2016 AND AUGUST 23, 2016 REPAIRS WERE REPEATEDLY MADE CONSISTING OF REPLACING GEAR SHIFT KNOB, ENTIRE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY, SANDING ROTORS, REPLACING BRAKE PADS, REPLACING ENTIRE BRAKE ASSEMBLY AND TIGHTENING EMERGENCY BRAKE. BUT AS TO DATE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST. ON FEBRUARY 9, 2016 REPAIR TO THE SUSPENSION AND STEERING. ON APRIL 5, 2016 REPAIR TO LOWER REAR EXHAUST SHIELD REMOUNTED. ON MAY 31, 2016 DOOR CHECK STRAPS RE-SECURED. ON JUNE 23, 2016 FAULTY BMC SWITCH REPLACED BUT PROBLEM WITH A/C STILL NOT RESOLVED AND A SECOND PROBLEM HAS ARISEN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, HE DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A BUBBLE ON THE SIDE WALL OF THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE.
