I have a leak in my steering line
Engine shuts off without warning. Driving and all of sudden, engine stops, drop vehicle in neutral and push start and it starts right back. I have been on curvy road, going up steep hill and also on perfectly level road, makes no difference, happens without warning. Dangerous because on hill started rolling back...can't steer on curvy road unless engine running...please check into this before I or someone else gets hurt or killed.
On October 22, 2021, I was driving my 2018 Dodge Journey Crossroad and upon sitting at a traffic light I press the gas and my truck started humming for about five seconds and it stopped. I brought this truck on December 4th, 2019 and it has roughly 64,000 miles on it but I kept up my routine maintenance. I am a person with disabilities and I need my vehicle to get to work. Please look into this matter my transmission should not have gone out so soon! Thank you for your kind attention.
Rear backup camera is severely blurred as to make it impossible to safely see any Cleaning of the lens made no change in the severity of the image. The Carmax dealership in Brooklyn park MN was aware of the issue and notified of the malfunction after a test drive. Their answer was that it was a known issue but there was no effort to fix the problem because it was not listed as a recall issue. There was no warning light or electronic notices, only noticing the issue on the dash screen when the “reverse” was engaged. It is unable in its current condition to provide an adequate level of safety when backing up. The colored lines indicating the vehicles part while backing up is clear but all surrounding objects are blurry.
The contact owns a 2018 Dodge Journey. The contact stated while reversing into a parking space the rear-view camera screen inadvertently turned black. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that as she opened the hatchback, the rear-view camera functionality returned. The contact also stated that the interior lights of the vehicle remained on for a month. The vehicle was taken to the local Pep Boys auto store who diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. Then, the vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that no issues were found with the vehicle however, an unknown software was reprogrammed. The contact stated that the interior lights remained on and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer who diagnosed that the rear wiring system needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to another local Pep Boys who diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to another authorized dealer to be diagnosed. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000.
My battery or the connection is bad but when I have it tested, they day its perfect. My car dies all the time and even if we charge it all night, my check engine light for poor battery connection stays on.
I am going through rear tires every couple months. We have taken by car to get looked at and they said everything looks good. However I can put new tires on and then 2 or 3 months later they are bald with the wiring coming out of them.
uConnect infotainment / control system malfunctions played music automatically on engine start (as usual) but screen reads “off” condition and won’t respond to touch commands. (no backup camera; just "off" screen) malfunctions started a month earlier: -“shuffle” function won’t engage (as it did when new) -starts playlist at beginning each time, instead of continuing where left off (as it did when new) concern that uConnect system is failing; FCA and dealer claim system is "working as designed". concern that system may again freeze and stop working, posing a range of safety hazards for driver and others.
I GOT A VEHICLE FROM CARVANA AND HAVE HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES TO BE REPAIRED. GOT IT BACK 2 DAYS AGO AND NOW SEEMS LIKE THE REAR END IS ABOUT TO FALL OFF AND THEY SAID THEY CAN'T GET IT IN FOR 2 WEEKS AND SENT ME HOME DRIVING IT YET AGAIN.

NOW THERE'S ANOTHER ISSUE WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, I HAVE TO STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO INCREASE HORSEPOWER. THE RPM INCREASES, BUT IT TAKES A WHILE TO GAIN HORSEPOWER.

BRAKING DID NOT FULLY DISENGAGE THE SYSTEM. WHEN BRAKED TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT AND HAD TO TURN SYSTEM OFF TO HALT ITS OPERATION. WORKS FINE AT TIMES THEN UNEXPECTEDLY DOES IT AGAIN. MAY BE CONNECTED TO OPERATION IN ELEVATION CHANGES.
SUV WAS MAKING A LOUD WHINING SOUND TOOK IT IN TO BE CHECKED AND WAS TOLD THE ALTERNATOR WAS BAD. HAD IT CHANGED BY DEALERSHIP, I FEEL THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED THIS SOON WHEN THE SUV IS LESS THAN 2 YRS OLD. NOW THE PASSENGERS SIDE STRUT IS GONE BAD.

I WAS DRIVING MID DAY, 35 MPH ON MAJOR CITY STREET AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WITHOUT ANY WARNING. AS I WAS IN RIGHT HAND LANE I WAS ABLE TO FORCE THE CAR TO THE CURB EVEN THOUGH THE POWER STEERING HAD SHUT DOWN. HAD IT SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING THERE I AM SURE THE ACCIDENT WOULD OF SHUT THAT INTERSTATE FOR HOURS.

MEANWHILE I HAVE RESEARCHED AND SEE THE SAME ISSUES I AM HAVING LEAD TO MORE ISSUES LIKE THE BRAKES NOT STOPPING THE VEHICLE AND I TRAVEL 100 MILES BACK AND FORTH TO WORK AND HAVE SMALL CHILDREN THAT IS A VERY UNEASY FEELING. ALSO WHEN I GET OFF THE HIGHWAY A LOT OF TIMES THE SENSOR FOR THE SPEED AND RADIO FINALLY KICKS IN AND THE RADIO PLAYS EXTREMELY LOUD LIKE I AM STILL ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE ENTIRE RIDE THE RADIO WOULD NOT TURN UP PASS THE LOW VOLUME.

AFTER PUTTING A FULL TANK OF GAS, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND METER READ GAS TANK EMPTY. VEHICLE STAYED WITH THE DEALERSHIP FOR 8 DAYS FIRST TIME. FUEL PUMP AND WIRES WAS FULLY REPLACED. VEHICLE IS BACK WITH DEALERSHIP FOR A SECOND TIME. THIS TIME THE GAS METER READS LESS THAN 3/4 TANK AS A FULL TANK OF GAS IS PUT INTO THE VEHICLE. RPM STARTS DOING THE SAME THING WHEN THE VEHICLE HITS 50 MPH. WAS INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP FUEL PUMP AND WIRES ARE THE REASON FOR MY VEHICLE BEING IN THE SHOP AGAIN. VEHICLE IS BACK TWICE IN THE SHOP LESS THAN 2 MONTHS. STILL WITHOUT A PROPER WORKING VEHICLE

I SLOWED TO TURN ON AND THE POWER CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TURN. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE STEERING WHEEL OR BRAKES. LUCKILY I WAS NOT AROUND OTHER VEHICLES AND THE CAR SLOWED TO A STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN GRASS. THIS OCCURRED WITH A YOUNG CHILD IN THE CAR AND IT SCARED BOTH OF US. I WAS ABLE TO THEN START THE CAR AGAIN AND GET IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT THE NEXT DAY. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE WHEN THEY HOOKED IT UP TO THEIR MACHINES. THEY DROVE THE CAR FOR A WEEK AND WERE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE LAST DAY WHEN THEY TOOK IT FOR ONE MORE DRIVE THE CAR DIED ON THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. THEY HOOKED THE CAR UP AGAIN AND IT SHOWED THAT NOTHING WAS WRONG. WHEN THEY CONTACTED CHRYSLER CORPORATION THEY TOLD THEM TO LOOK AT THE ENGINE. THAT IS WHEN THEY FOUND METAL SHARDS AND OTHER THINGS WRONG WITH THE ENGINE. THE CORPORATION HAD KNOWN THAT SOME OF THESE ENGINES WERE FAULTY BUT HAD NOT NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP OR THE CONSUMERS THAT THEY COULD BE DRIVING A CAR WITH A FAULTY ENGINE. THIS WAS MOST DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE AND ESPECIALLY CONCERNING SINCE WE HAD BEEN DRIVING OUR YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE WITH US. THE CONTACT'S HEAD AND NECK WERE CAUGHT IN THE SEAT BELT SHOULDER STRAP, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT'S HEAD TO FEEL ABNORMAL FOR A FEW DAYS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER FOR INSPECTION, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO LOCATE A FAILURE WITH THE SEAT BELT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE LEATHER SEAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE SEAT BELT FAILURE. THE SEAT BELT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2018 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE CONTACT FELL ASLEEP AND CRASHED INTO A CABLE MEDIAN. THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WHEEL AND THE AXLE FRACTURED AND DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE CONTACT CALLED JOHN L. SULLIVAN DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM AT 530-763-1670 (LOCATED AT 950 HARTER PKWY, YUBA CITY, CA 95993) AND WAS PROVIDED AN IDENTICAL VEHICLE AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,138. *DT*JB
I HAVE A 2018 DODGE JOURNEY I HAD THE DRIVER SEST RECLINED ALL THE WAY BACK TO VACUUM. I LIFT THE HANDLE TO PUT SEAT UP AND IT FLEW FORWARD HARD. AFTER TURNING ON VEHICLE NOTICED AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON. TOOK TO DODGE THEY SAID ITS THE DRIVER HEADREST THE WIRES WERE PULLED OUT AND ACTIVATED AIRBAG LIGHT. THE WARRANTY WONT COVER IT BECAUSE THEY SAID THE WIRES GOT RIPPED OFF FROM SOMEONE INTENTIONALLY PULLING THE SEAT OFF. THE SEATS ARE DANGEROUS AS FAST AS THEY FLIP FORWARD. THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A DEFECT IF THE WIRES GOT UNATTACHED FROM JUST IT SWINGING FORWARD.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN MY BRAND NEW DODGE JOURNEY THAT WAS PURCHASED LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO, ALL THE VEHICLES CAME TO A STOP AND WERE STATIONARY. MY CAR INCLUDED WAS STATIONARY OR STOPPED. WHILE WAITING FOR TRAFFIC TO GO, MY FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE WHEN MY CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED (WAS IN MOTION) AND STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD. MY FOOT WAS STILL ON THE BRAKE WHEN THIS OCCURRED. I CONTINUED TO PUSH DOWN THE BRAKE AS HARD AS I COULD AND PUMP THE BRAKE TO MAKE THE CAR STOP BUT IT FELT LIKE THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD NOT GO DOWN. MY BRAKES DID NOT WORK AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT ON ME ENDED UP STOPPING MY CAR. I PULLED OVER TO THE LEFT SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY AS MUCH AS I COULD AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK AND CALLED HIGHWAY PATROL. *DT*JB

TAKATA RECALL. MY VEHICLE BRAKES HAS A PAUSE BETWEEN THEM. WHEN I AM COMING TO A STOP IT TAKE A WHILE TO BREAK. THE BREAKS ARE NOT CONSISTENT THIS IS VERY SCARY, I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY YESTERDAY AND THE BREAKS TOOK A WHILE TO ACTUALLY START BREAKING. THESE BREAKS ARE NOT RIGHT. PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE 7/13/2018 AND IT IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH A BACKUP CAMERA. DODGE IS ALSO ADVERTISING THAT THIS IS STANDARD EQUIPMENT ON THE VEHICLE. HILLSBORO ST, EL DORADO, AR) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200.
AFTER PCM AND ECM RECALL REPAIR, BLUETOOTH SYSTEM WOULD NOT CONNECT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, TOUCH SCREEN RADIO MALFUNCTIONING WHILE DRIVING, ECO COLOR DRIVEING TRACKER NOLONGER WORKED, THE ELECTRONIC GAS MILES WAS INCORRECT (EXP: AFTER PUTING GAS IN MILES SHOWED 115 UNTIL EMPTY, DRIVE 7 MILES THE CAR WOULD SHOW 70 MILES TO EMPTY) BOTH WOULD MALFUNCTION WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY AND CITY. VEHICLE WOULD NOW SHAKE WHEN IDLING AND WAS HESITATE TO START. VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT DEALERSHIP REPAIR SHOP FOR 7 DAYS FOR SECOND REPAIR.
ON 6/4/2018 I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AFTER TAKING IT IN FOR THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS BEING ON AND LOSS OF POWER. THE DEALERSHIP ADVISED THEY DID AN UPDATE ON THE POWER CONTROL MODEL AND FIXED A WHEEL SPEED SENSOR. WHILE ON THE FREEWAY ABOUT 9 MILES AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP THE LIGHTS (ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL) CAME BACK ON AND THE RPMS WENT UP. THE VEHICLE WAS IN CRUISE CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE HAD A 5MPH LOSS IN SPEED BUT WENT BACK UP TO 65MPH WITH THE RAISE IN RPMS. WHILE GOING TO EXIT THE FREEWAY AND APPLYING THE BRAKES THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. I IMMEDIATELY PLACED THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND PULLED TO THE RIGHT HAND SHOULDE ALLOWING THE VEHICLE TO COAST TO A STOP.. AFTER PULLED OVER I APPLIED THE BRAKE AND PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND TURNED THE VEHICLE BACK ON. THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS ADVISED TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK AND I ADVISED I WOULD BRING IT BACK IN THE MORNING AND WOULD NOT USE THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS IS NOW THE SECOND TIME THE VEHICLE WILL BE GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME ISSUES WHICH INCLUDE THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS BEING ILLUMINATED WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS NOT WORKING, LOSS OF POWER AND HIGH RPMS AND BLUETOOTH NOT WORKING (NOT A MAJOR CONCERN). THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THE CRUISE CONTROL HAS FAILED TO DISENGAGE AND ONLY MY FOURTH TIME USING CRUISE CONTROL AS IT IS A NEW VEHICLE AND I DON'T USE IT MUCH ON THE FREEWAY.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.
