We have taken our vehicle, for this unusual drivers side, bottom door - interior beam that has sucked in like a dent and it's stainless steal beam that shouldn't do this, The Lexus dealership has no idea for the cause and we are concern if we have an accident then if this side door beam will be safe to protect the driver ? There has been no accident to this Lexus we own, we have taken this issue to several dealership but no one is saying on writing that we are safe inside this vehicle if the beam bottom Interior metal is sucking in safe or not if an actual accident side door impact happens ? No one still inside the Lexus Dealership or the Lexus Headquarters Consumer Care has been able to clearly made us understand what has caused this sinking steel beam to suck in like a dent ? HVAC Evaporator Drain Hose keeps getting clogged resulting in the overflow of water into the cabin driver side floor. When using the AC or Defroster this could be a quart of water or more which can result in mold/mildew on carpet and pad. Lexus wants $6000 to repair and replace (they will not repair with out replacing all of the carpet and pad). This is a known issue and Lexus have even issued a "fix" AT THE CONSUMER EXPENSE. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...31864-9999.pdf If a recall were issued for the recommended part (ARINIXTip) to be installed then the consumer could save thousands of dollars for the replacing of carpet and pad plus labor.
I HAVE A 2018 LEXUS NX 300H, THAT WE BOUGHT 2 YEARS AGO AND HAD BEEN BRINGING TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR MAINTENANCE. RECENTLY ON AUGUST 31ST, 2020 MY RIGHT PASSENGER MIRROR EXPLODED WITH WIRES HANGING OUT AND MIRROR POPPED OUT- LUCKILY I WAS A BLOCK AWAY FROM MY HOUSE RUNNING ABOUT 5MPH, OR MY MIRROR WOULD HAVE FLOWN IN THE FREEWAY AND MAY HAVE CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT THEY SAID THAT I MIGHT HAVE HIT SOMETHING SINCE THERE WAS THIS THREAD LIKE DENT- (WHICH THEY SAID COULD HAVE HAPPEN DUE TO THE MIRROR POPPING OUT OF ITS CASE.) STILL DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO HAVE A SIDE MIRROR EXPLODING. ITS LIKE IF YOUR CAR GETS EVEN THE TINIEST DENT YOUR MIRROR MIGHT EXPLODE. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THIS IS NOT COVERED BY MY WARRANTY DUE TO WHAT THEY CLAIM SOMETHING FLEW OR HIT THE SIDE MIRROR. I KEEP ON TELLING THEM - I WAS THE DRIVER NOTHING HIT THE VEHICLE. HOPEFULLY THIS MANUFACTURER TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY BEFORE ANY ACCIDENT HAPPENS.
WHEN I STARTED THE CAR, WHICH HAS ONLY 17,000 MILES ON IT, THE WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON ALERTING ME OF BRAKE FAILURE. I WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY & HAD NOT YET DEPARTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 LEXUS NX300H. WITHIN WEEKS OF THE CONTACT OWNING THE VEHICLE, IT STALLED SEVERAL TIMES WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER (LEXUS OF SERRAMONTE, 700 SERRAMONTE BLVD, COLMA, CA 94014, (650) 403-1086) WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO DETERMINE A REPAIR REMEDY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 0.
I WAS PARK AT STOP SIGN ON A CITY STREET WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES NEXT THING I KNEW I WAS HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE MY BRAKES UNINTENDED ACCELERATED AND MY BRAKES FAILED. I COULD NOT STOP THIS CAR FOR 2 BLOCKS, I TRIED TO PLACE IT IN PARK, AND ALSO TURN THE CAR OFF, THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I KEPT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES BUT IT JUST ACCELERATED. I REPORTED IT TO LEXUS AND ACCORDING TO LEXUS AN INDEPENDENT ANALYSIS WOULD COME OUT AND INSPECT MY VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE SET ON LEXUS CAR LOT FOR A MONTH AND THE WAS INSPECTED AND A MONTH LATER LEXUS NOTIFIED ME INFORMING ME THAT MY BRAKES SHOWED NO EVIDENCE OF FAILING, WELL EITHER I AM LYING OR LEXUS IS LYING, OR THERE IS A UNDERLYING PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES THAT LEXUS WAS UNABLE TO DETECT ARE CHOOSE NOT TO ADMIT BECAUSE THE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS A RECALL CAN COST, ITS IN LEXUS BEST INTEREST TO DENY MY CLAIM AND WAIT FOR MULTIPLE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS TO LOOSE THEIR LIVES BEFORE THE COMPANY ADMIT THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM. I HAD NO INJURIES AND CAR I HIT REC'D NO INJURIES, I WAS JUST SO EMOTIONAL DISTRAUGHT THAT I HAVEN DRIVEN IN 3 MONTHS
